Kristin Cavallari is understandably sad over the discovery of her brother’s body on Thursday.

Kristin Cavallari’s brother, Michael, had been missing since November 27th.

Just two days before his disappearance, Michael had been bailed out of jail after having turned himself in on charges of acting threateningly toward a woman.

He had an argument with said woman and when she spotted him pointing a shotgun at her home, she called police.

A loaded shotgun was found in his trunk after his arrival at the police station.

Just four days ago, Kristin Cavallari still held out hope that he would be found safe after his 2014 Honda was found abandoned against an embankment in Utah with the airbags deployed.

However, the body of Kristin Cavallari’s brother was soon discovered by rescue crews in Utah.

The Grand County, Utah Sheriff’s Office released a statement Thursday that said, “At approximately 10:30 a.m. search crews located remains believed to be that of Michael Cavallari.”

It continued, “At this time, the body is being transported to the Office of the Utah Medical Examiner for positive identification and to determine the cause of death. The search crews were searching the Salt Wash area, near exit 175 on I-70 in Grand County. The terrain where the body was located is a steep and very rocky area.”

What exactly happened is still unclear, but for Kristin Cavallari it’s an extremely sad time.

Michael Cavallari, 30, was reported missing just days after Kristin Cavallari and husband Jay Cutler welcomed their baby girl into the world. He was arrested in Orange County on November 23 on “suspicion of making criminal threats against a woman who knew him,” according to the Associated Press. Orange County sheriff’s records show he was bailed out of jail early on November 25.

  • Kristin Cavallari: New Details in Missing Brother Case Including Arrest, Shotgun

Kristin Cavallari is no doubt praying for the best but fearing the worst as the hunt continues for her missing brother, Michael Cavallari.

It was just days after Kristin Cavallari and hubby Jay Cutler welcomed their baby girl into the world that Michael Cavallari went missing. The car he was driving was found idling in Utah, but there’s been no sight of the 30-year-old.

Now some new details in this missing persons case have emerged, and they don’t necessarily point toward a positive outcome.

Us Weekly reports that back on November 23rd, Michael Cavallari was arrested. He was released on bail two days later.

The sheriff’s office told the publication that Michael Cavallari was arrested for making criminal threats to an as yet unnamed woman. It seems the two had a dispute earlier in November and several times since then he appeared outside her door, knocking. On the 23rd he had a shotgun.

The last time anyone has seen Kristin Cavallari’s brother was November 27th. It’s especially disconcerting to think he may have gone off on his own with a shotgun.

Kristin Cavallari thanked her fans for their prayers and their continued support in an Instagram post this weekend.

“I appreciate all the concern, thoughts, and prayers that have been extended to me and my family,” she captioned a throwback photo of her with her brother as kids. “We remain hopeful and I will share any news that we receive. I have such gratitude for all those that have shared their support.”
