  • Kimberly Williams-Paisley on Her Mother’s Dementia

Kimberly Williams-Paisley recently talked about her painful journey with her mother, who has a rare form of dementia.

The Nashville star admitted she had to learn how to love her mother again, but in a new way.

Over the past decade, Williams-Paisley has watched her mother go from the woman she knew all her life, to a stranger. No longer able to grab things without dropping them, pronounce words appropriately or even remember who her family is, the actress’ beloved mother eventually had to move into a long-term care facility.

“The move was the hardest change my tight-knit family has ever had to endure,” Williams-Paisley said in an essay. “Our visits were agonizing for me. I couldn’t look at her without seeing a fading picture of who she used to be. I resented this mostly manic, dangerous, crazy woman who had taken over my mother’s body.”

But now the actress has learned to love her mother for who she is now, instead of holding onto the love she had for who her mother used to be.

After Williams-Paisley connected with other women who were going through the same turmoil with their own mothers, she decided she needed to change the way she loved her mom; she was going to love her in an “innocent” way, much like her toddler son loved.

See how Williams-Paisely balances her life, here:

Now the star helps her mother take care of herself and completes small tasks for her, such as putting on lotion. She describes her mother as a “new” mom, and this changed mindset is perhaps one of the reasons why the actress says she is now able to think about how her mother used to be, without breaking down.

“With almost all language gone, she and I discovered a new way to say, ‘I get you. You understand me. We love each other’,” she said.

  • Kimberly Williams-Paisley Losing Brad to Carrie Underwood?

Kimberly Williams-Paisley won’t even entertain it. The rumor mills have started up yet again, and she’s slamming it. As a matter of fact, she’s laughing it off, brushing it off, and using any and every other tactic conceivable to deny the allegations that her husband, Brad Paisley, may be having an affair. The famed actress actually finds the whole debacle quite amusing. But, how did it all start?

The National Enquirer actually was the first to report the claim. Their report alleged that Paisley and fellow country music star, Carrie Underwood, had been ‘hooking up.’ The two recently hosted the Country Music Awards together, and shortly after, the allegations came pouring in. So, once the claims started to circulate, US Weekly decided to ask the “Southern Comfort Zone” singer’s wife how she felt about it all.

Well, according to E! News, the Nashville native was asked by US Weekly of her thoughts on the infidelity rumors when she attended the 5th Annual African Children’s Choir Gala on Thursday in New York City. Williams literally burst into laughter immediately declaring the rumors to be outlandish. “Are you serious?”, she asked the publication. “Wow! I hope it helps our careers! That’s all I can say.”

She also went on to share some of the things that keep their marital foundation solid. “We have family Sundays together. We spend as much time as we can. We’re very down-to-earth people. We come from good families, and we appreciate family,” explained Williams-Paisley. But, she isn’t the only one that’s went on record for doting on her spouse. Paisley has also done the exact same thing. Paisley recently shared the story behind his latest single, “I Can’t Change the World,” with iHeartRadio. The song was actually inspired by his wife. It’s also a verbal expression of the feelings he felt when the two first started dating over 12 years ago.

iheartRadio News also reported that Paisley spoke of the sentiments he shared with her before they decided to take on a commitment with their relationship. He said that he “wasn’t sure what she was looking for, and admitted he had his limits, but would do everything he could for her.”

So, it’s safe to say the rumor was just that where the Paisleys are concerned. The two have been married since March of 2004. They have two children together; Huck, 6; and Jasper, 4.

  • Kimberly Williams-Paisley Knows Hubby Wouldn’t Cheat

Kimberly Williams-Paisley knows hubby Brad Paisley wouldn’t cheat on her, so when rumors of him cheating on her with Carrie Underwood recently ran wild, she simply laughed them off. The Nashville actress even had to be told about the rumors by an Us Weekly reporter.

“Am I in the National Enquirer?” she asked when Us brought up news of the rumor. “You’re breaking it to me! What did I do?”

Kimberly Williams-Paisley is absolutely certain that the only thing her husband and Carrie Underwood did together recently was perform an amazing monologue, mocking Obamacare, at the 2013 CMAs. She certainly can’t fault him for that–it’s part of his job. Plus, Carrie Underwood recently said in Redbook magazine that she trusts her husband, Mike Fisher, more than anyone she knows. Why would she jeopardize something as precious as that kind of contentment?

Brad and Kimberly Paisley-Williams’s marriage seems quite strong. They try to maintain as normal a family life as possible for themselves and their children, Huck, who is 6 and Jasper, who is 4.

“We have family Sundays together,” Williams-Paisley says. “We spend as much time as we can. We’re very down-to-earth people. We come from good families, and we appreciate family.”

This is pretty impressive for a family where both Mom and Dad are celebrities. Sometimes the average American family can’t manage to eat dinner together once a week.

Good for Kimberly Williams-Paisley for laughing off rumors about Brad Paisley cheating on her with Carrie Underwood–or with anyone, for that matter. Kimberly trusts in her husband the way Carrie Underwood trusts in hers. How nice that both of these country music couples are able to enjoy such strong and loving marriages.

  • Kimberly Williams-Paisley: Is Brad Cheating?

Country music super-star, Brad Paisley, and his wife, actress, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, keep their names, for the most part, out of the gossip circle. However, new rumors are circulating that Brad is having an affair with his CMA co-host, Carrie Underwood. Brad and Kimberly have been together for ten years, and Kimberly has assured us that her husband is not having an affair. She actually thinks it is quite funny that people are even saying that he would be.

Kimberly did not even know that the rumors were being spread until Us Weekly confronted her about them during the 5th Annual African Children’s Choir Gala.

“Am I in the National Enquirer?” she asked. “You’re breaking it to me! What did I do?” While laughing she said, “Are you serious? Wow! I hope it helps our careers! That’s all I can say.”

Kimberly says her marriage is stronger than ever and that the rumors are ridiculous. They have two boys together, six-year-old, Huck, and 4-year-old, Jasper, and Kimberly says they spend as much time as they can together as a family. “We have family Sundays together,” she said. “We spend as much time as we can. We’re very down-to-earth people. We come from good families, and we appreciate family.”

  • Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Husband Are Victims of Online Cancer Hoax

Internet hoaxes are nothing new, unfortunately, and they range from tricking someone into thinking they’re falling in love with someone to scamming people out of their hard-earned money. The latest hoax is targeting celebrities and works by playing on their emotions by sending a letter from a child dying with cancer.

Nashville star Kimberly Williams-Paisley and husband Brad Paisley found themselves the victims of such a hoax last year and have decided to go public with it.

Back in September of 2012, an email was sent to Kimberly requesting that she get in touch with a woman’s 8-year-old daughter who was dying from neuroblastoma, a type of cancer. The family wasn’t asking for any money–they just wanted Kimberly to get in touch with the young girl because she was such a big fan.

Read the email that was sent to Kimberly Williams-Paisley and obtained by ABC below.

    From: Carrie Kahler
    Subject: Claire/ Kimberly Williams
    Date: September 3, 2012 8:04:54 PM PDT
    To:

Hello, my name is Carrie Kahler. I have an eight year old daughter Claire who is suffering from end stage cancer (neuroblastoma). A couple weeks ago Claire asked me If I could “find” Miss Kimberly for her. I told her I would do my best but made no promises. Well, to be honest with all the chaos and excitement that ensued with Claire coming home from the hospital with hospice. I forgot. However Claire reminded me earlier today. I asked Claire why it was so important for me to find miss Kimberly for her she said, “Mommy miss Kimberly deserves to know how much she has helped me. She left fingerprints on my heart.” After hearing that I decided I would do whatever I could to let Kimberly know about Claire.

Please know we are not wanting or asking for anything from you or Kimberly. Claire is going to be with Jesus very soon. Nothing on this earth is going to save her from that.

Claire has written a very sweet letter for Kimberly and would like her to read it before she passes away. I don’t know if that is possible. I was hoping to email Claire’s letter to you and maybe you could forward it to Kimberly. Claire knows Kimberly from a movie “The Christmas Shoes”.

She doesn’t know who she is married to or that she has made other movies. I promise we want nothing. If you cannot forward claires letter can you pass along this message from her to Kimberly?

“Miss Kimberly thank you for making my heart so happy. You have a very pretty heart. Lots of grown ups can’t see it but I can. I will never forget how you made me feel the first time I saw your movie. You made me feel so brave and I’m not scared to die because you helped me be brave. I love you. Love, Claire.”

“It sounded very sort of real,” Kimberly said. “But she wasn’t dying to get a hold of me. You know, that was kind of the beginning of the manipulation. As a mother, wanting my kids to be okay, she hit my softest spot.”

The mother even sent pictures of her daughter as well as recordings of songs the girl had sung for Kimberly. Needless to say, Kimberly and Brad were sold. They ended up communicating with the girl and her mother and Brad sang Amazing Grace to the girl on the phone at one point.

“You’re singing to someone’s dying kid,” Brad said. “And in the middle of it, there’s no way that’s not real. How can that not be real?

    The truth comes out.

The hoax was revealed after the mother told Kimberly and Brad that the girl had died. When the couple wanted to send flowers, the woman refused to give her address. She then sent Kimberly an email saying, “I don’t need you to pray for me. Doesn’t seem like god hears much of anything these days.”

After doing some investigating, Kimberly and Brad discovered that they were the victims of a hoax and that the woman had been using pictures of another child with cancer to trick them. The woman apparently took pictures off another mom’s blog that tracked the progress of her child with neuroblastoma.

“That’s the sickest part about this to me,” Brad Paisley said. “That is the part that when I start to talk about that, that’s when I get really mad. That there were real kids, that there were real photos involved.”

Apparently, the Paisleys aren’t the only celebrities that have been victimized by this emotional hoax. Natalie Grant, band members from Little Big Town and reality TV star Kate Gosselin are just a few celebrities that have been tricked.

Kimberly says that she and her husband decided to come out on the hoax to hopefully prevent others from being victimized. “We really wanted to come out and talk about it publicly just to draw attention to what can happen so that people are aware,” she said. “When they put their kids online, pictures of their kids online, things like this can happen.”
