  • Lea Michele, Other ‘Glee’ Stars Remember Cory Monteith on His Birthday

Lea Michele is keeping the memory of Cory Monteith alive.

On Monday, Lea Michele took to Twitter to remember her late Glee co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith on what would have been his 33rd birthday.

Monteith, who died in July 2013 from a mix of heroin and alcohol, would have turned 33 on May 11. To mark the occasion, Lea Michele shared a photo and sweet message about her former love.

“I know you’re serenading everyone right now. We love you Cory! Happy Birthday..” she wrote.

Last summer, Michele and other Glee stars also paid tribute to Monteith on the anniversary of his death. “We will love you and miss you always,” the actress said.

Other Glee stars also marked the day.

Mark Salling, took to Twitter to remember his friend and “brother.”

  • Jenna Ushkowitz Heartbroken? Not in Hawaii

Jenna Ushkowitz Heartbroken? Not in Hawaii

While most celebrities go through their reps to announce a breakup, Glee‘s Jenna Ushkowitz announced her breakup from The Vampire Diaries actor Michael Trevino in a most awkward way.

While signing autographs at The Normal Heart premiere May 19 in Beverly Hills, California, Ushkowitz announced their three-year relationship had come to an end.

    And here’s how it happened.

While making the rounds at the premiere, a videographer asked if she was still dating Trevino, E! Online reported.

“No, we’re not together anymore,” she said.

When the videographer realized he may have made the 28-year-old star uncomfortable, he apologized.

“That’s OK. No worries,” she responded.

When asked if the two were still on good terms, Ushkowitz said, “We’re wonderful.”

    Awkward, right?

The breakup doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise. When the two first started dating, Ushkowitz told Ryan Seacrest she and Trevino were “very close.”

But neither mentioned the other very often on social media, or elsewhere. Four months ago, Ushkowitz posted a picture from the 2011 SAG Awards on Instagram, wishing the 29-year-old Trevino a happy birthday.

Ushkowitz posted a similar Instagram birthday greeting the year before.

Doesn’t look like she’s pining away either. Saturday morning she posted a photo while on vacation in Hawaii with friends, including Glee costar Kevin McHale.

  • Kevin McHale Latest Coach in String of Sketchy Behavior

Oh, Kevin McHale. You sneaky coach, you.

If you happened to catch the Houston Rockets play the San Antonio Spurs this past Saturday, November 30, you may have seen Houston coach McHale try to pull a fast one over on the Spurs’ Tim Duncan.

Near the end of the first half, Duncan was set to throw an inbound pass from in front of the Rockets bench, when what does he see to his right? At just the spot where he plans on throwing the ball? Oh, just coach McHale. Standing right there.

Just like everyone else watching, Duncan was in a state of disbelief. Even when the ref threw him the ball, he didn’t catch it. Instead, he allowed it to hit the floor and roll into the middle of the court, later explaining it was because he thought what McHale was doing was wrong.

The refs deemed that McHale was well within his rights to stand there, and Duncan went ahead and completed a successful pass to Manu Ginobili.

Judge McHale’s shenanigans for yourself on the above video.

McHale isn’t the only coach to display sketchy behavior this week. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had a trick up his sleeve on Thanksgiving when his team played the Baltimore Ravens.

Tomlin had his foot on the field, as the Ravens’ Jacoby Jones was making his way up the field, hugging the sidelines. With his back facing Jones, and the pretty exciting play that was taking place – which is weird in itself – Tomlin dramatically jumps back on the sidelines, causing Jones to move towards the middle of the field and get tackled, likely preventing a touchdown.

Even with that shady move, the Ravens were still able to beat the Steelers. Watch Tomlin yourself, below.

And let us not forget Nets coach Jason Kidd’s drink-spilling incident earlier in the week, in which he mouths to his own player, “hit me,” so that he can drop his drink on the court, and cause a time out. This little stunt resulted in a $50,000 fine for Kidd. Watch this scandalous moment below.

Basketball fans used Twitter to show their feelings about McHale’s behavior.

Oh, coaches. Although the depths you sink to in order to get a win are pretty ridiculous, they do provide a bit of entertainment.

  • McHale’s Daughter Dies At 23, Twitter Mourns

Houston Rockets coach Kevin McHale faced a devastating loss over the weekend when his daughter, Sasha, died under undisclosed circumstances.

Sasha was just 23; McHale has been on leave from his team, citing a family issue, but the reason was not made public. McHale’s peers and team members have begun expressing their grief and condolences via Twitter, with nothing but nice things to say about the young woman many of them watched grow up.

“While Kevin was with our organization, we all watched Sasha grow up and become an outstanding young woman,” Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said in a statement. “She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.”

Although the exact cause of death is not known at this time, Sasha had been battling Lupus, which affects the immune system. Leslie Alexander, the owner of the Houston Rockets, issued a statement about the family’s loss.

“I extend my deepest condolences to Kevin and Lynn for the loss of their beautiful daughter, Sasha, on Saturday afternoon,” he said. “Kevin and Lynn are loving and dedicated parents who will need our continued support throughout this very difficult time. Our entire organization is mourning the McHale family’s loss and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”
