  • Candace Cameron Bure Reveals Her Kevin Costner Love

Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure has a major celebrity crush.

Do you love Kevin Costner? Probably not as much as she does.

Listen to what she recently had to say about Costner, who she says she’s “girl crushed on forever.”

“Kevin Costner is – basically, I saw Dances With Wolves a billion times in the theater when I was younger and have always loved him. He’s been my guy that I’ve girl crushed on forever,” Bure said in a video for Entertainment Weekly.

“And then … I started hosting The View. And he was a guest. And I basically fangirled right in front of him, on live television. I couldn’t even ask my questions that I was supposed to ask him because … I think I was drooling.

“Like I was so giddy and shaking and giggling like I was 16 years old. It was embarrassing. I don’t think he knew what to do with me. I was so unprofessional” she said.

Happy Birthday baby! Love you sister @jodiesweetin ?

  • Maureen O’Hara, Harry Belafonte Receive Honorary Oscars in Front of Star-Studded Audience.

Maureen O’Hara and Harry Belafonte were awarded honorary Academy Awards Saturday night in front of a star-studded audience at the Governor’s Awards Ceremony.

Joining the legendary Irish actress and the social activist in receiving an honorary Academy Award were filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki and screenwriter Jean-Claude Carriere. The event was held at a private dinner ceremony at Hollywood & Highland’s Ray Dolby Ballroom.

Liam Neeson and Clint Eastwood introduced the 94-year-old O’Hara and concurred that both once had a crush on the beautiful actress. Described by Neeson as “one of the true legends of cinema” and “one of the most adventurous women who ever lived,” he said she was a pioneer in the industry for women by doing her own stunt work, notably in several John Wayne films.

Arriving on stage in a wheelchair, O’Hara thanked filmmakers Charles Laughton and John Ford, and her late friend and co-star Wayne.

“What’s this?!” said O’Hara when the award was handed to her. “I only hope it’s silver or gold and not like a spoon out of the kitchen.”

Belafonte, 87, was introduced by Chris Rock and Susan Sarandon and accepted the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his social activism.

“I’m not here to honor you,” Rock said. “I’m here to thank you.”

Sarandon called the actor and singer “a real-life, flesh and blood hero.”

Belafonte accepted his award with his typical grace and eloquence.

“To be rewarded by my peers for my work for human rights, civil rights and for peace… It powerfully mutes the enemy’s thunder,” he said.

Belafonte said he shared the award with friend and colleague Sidney Poitier.

“He redirected the ship of racial hatred in American culture,” Belafonte said, mentioning the actor’s long list of films, including 12 Years a Slave, noting the influential power of the film.

“Maybe, just maybe, it could be civilization’s game-changer,” he said.

Other attendees of the ceremony included Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, Kevin Costner, Mark Wahlberg, Ed Norton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne, Ron Howard and Hilary Swank.

The Governors Awards was established by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2009. Highlights from the ceremony will be featured in the 2015 Oscar telecast in February.

  • Jennifer Garner Talks Ben Affleck and Past Crushes

Jennifer Garner has definitely had a busy week with a lot to talk about. With the theatrical release of her new film Draft Day, she’s made several public appearances to promote the film. She also stopped by Live! With Kelly & Michael on Friday, Apr. 11.

Although she appeared on the show to discuss the  comedy-drama, football film she co-stars in with Kevin Costner, the athletic nature of the film actually led to a comical discussion about her husband Ben Affleck’s competitive nature.

According to US Weekly, Garner quipped about how emotional Affleck can get at their 8-year-old daughter Violet’s basketball games. While the Dallas Buyer’s Club actress likes to offer mutual support for all participants in the game, Affleck isn’t supporting any opponents. As a matter of fact, he even becomes a baffled when she even claps for the other team.

“I clap for everyone who makes a shot on either team,” Garner said, adding “because I feel like, good shot, great job.” The feeling isn’t too mutual for Affleck. Apparently, he takes the game quite seriously. “Meanwhile, he’s freaking out and I’m constantly like, ‘stop it!’”

“You know, he’ll be saying, ‘she’s open! Do you see she’s open?!’” Garner quipped of her hubby. “It’s like, ‘Ben, they’re eight. You’re yelling  at an 8-year-old little girl. She will see that Violet is open and she will get the ball to her when it’s appropriate.’” However, Garner knows her husband does it all out of love!

The 41-year-old actress also had lots to say during a recent interview with On the Red Carpet (OTRC). During the interview, Garner explained how filming the movie actually came with one big perk – Kevin Costner! Garner revealed that Costner was actually her teenage crush. So, she was honored to have the privilege to star in a film with the veteran actor.

“You know, I remember when I was younger, watching ‘Bull Durham’ and just falling so hard for Kevin Costner,” she told the publication. “Well, he’s still Kevin Costner he still knows exactly what do. And I didn’t care a thing about baseball but I sure loved watching him. And he quarterbacks this movie — he marches us down the field.”

Draft Day opened in theaters nationwide on Friday, April 11.

  • Amber Heard Talks Filming In Depp’s Adopted Country

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp made things official late last year, with Heard flashing a giant engagement ring when they were spotted out together, and now she’s filming a movie in the country he made his own: France.

Heard spoke recently about the important part Paris plays in the action film, “3 Days To Kill”, in which she plays an FBI agent.

“Paris is a central character in the movie. Paris is an important element,” she said. “Paris is rich and textured and beautiful and has so much history and depth to it that it kind of made for a really interesting backdrop, because I’m sliding off the hood of a car, shooting a gun and getting in crazy fight with these gangsters. And I’m jumping over bodies and shooting the bad guys and all this stuff. Then I look around and there’s the Arc de Triomphe right behind me and then there’s the Eiffel Tower, and I’m in a gun fight in the middle of these cobblestone streets. It’s just a really bizarre world sometimes!”

The blonde beauty says she learned a lot about her craft from Kevin Costner, whom she described as a “force to be reckoned with”.

“Kevin is wonderful. He is such a — both on and off camera — he’s a wonderful person, a great actor,” she said. “He’s a great force to be reckoned with. I was surprised and really taken with what it was like to work with him because you learn so much. He’s also a filmmaker and there’s a different – there is something that changes when you work with an actor who also is a filmmaker. They approach it differently, they interact with you differently.”

Heard and Depp turned some heads when they appeared on the red carpet together on Wednesday night for the premiere of the film, which will be released in theaters next week. The pair reportedly got engaged at Christmastime but didn’t go public with it until later due to Depp’s split from longtime partner Vanessa Paradis. Paradis, a popular actress and singer from France, turned Depp on to the lifestyle in her home country. The couple built a life there with their children and even had their own vineyard and wine-making facilities.

  • Kevin Costner Performance Supports Veterans

Kevin Costner and his band Modern West performed on Sunday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum for a fundraiser that supports veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The event, held in the Reagan Library’s Air Force One Pavilion, featured comedian Adam Carolla as the emcee.

In addition to Costner and his band entertaining, the event featured an auction. Items up for grab included a basketball signed by Michael Jordan, a jersey signed by Los Angeles Galaxy team members and a football signed by Quinton Aaron, Sandra Bullock’s costar in the hit film The Blindside.

Speaker Ken Robinson talked of the impact of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and he told the crowd that there are presently 7000 homeless war veterans living in Los Angeles alone. Banter between Adam Carolla and Robinson became terse after Robinson spotted Carolla during a flag ceremony, standing with a glass of wine in his hand.

“I also know how to behave when the flag is presented, and I don’t do it with wine in my hand. I do it with my hand over my heart. It’s not a joke and tonight is serious,” he told the comedian.

Some fans are aware that Kevin Costner is a musician in addition to an actor. For those unfamiliar with that aspect of the handsome actor’s life, you’re in for a treat–just like everyone at the fundraiser on Sunday was. Hopefully Costner’s presence brought lots of people in for the event. It definitely sounds like the homeless situation with Iraq and Afghanistan war vets is far more serious than the average person realizes.

Kevin Costner tweeted about the event at the Reagan Library.

How wonderful that someone with Costner’s celebrity status would take the time out of his busy schedule to benefit U.S. War veterans. Hopefully lots of money was raised for this incredibly worthy and often overlooked cause.

  • Hatfields & McCoys Might Be a Hit, but Costner is Too Busy to Notice

Hatfields & McCoys, the History Channel’s miniseries about the long-standing feud between the two families, has turned out to be a pretty big hit, with kudos coming in from all angles. Bill Paxton, Tom Berenger, and Kevin Costner star in the program, all of whom should be quite pleased with the results. If Twitter reactions are to be believed, there are quite a few individuals out there who simply cannot get enough of the historical drama.

What does Kevin Costner think of the miniseries’ sudden popularity? Nobody seems to know. Although producers have attempted to reach out to the “Field of Dreams” actor, he’s yet to make contact. The reason: Costner is currently diving off the coast of Africa in search of treasure. According to the Los Angeles Times, Costner owns a company that frequently embarks on such worldly expeditions, which effectively makes the guy a parttime Indiana Jones clone. Somebody should make a documentary about this post-haste.

Thinkfactory Media CEO Leslie Greif, the man responsible for bringing the tale to life on the small screen, has attempted to congratulate the star on his recent success, though he’s having some difficulty doing so. Apparently cell phone reception at the bottom of the ocean is a little spotty in that part of the world.

“No one can reach him. We’re all desperate to reach him. He has no idea what’s going on,” Greif explained. “He’s off the coast of Africa somewhere. He has a company that goes on explorations, and he’s on a treasure dive in parts unknown. He’s diving for treasure.”

Someone should tell him he’s looking in the wrong place for dry land.

When he isn’t trotting the globe in search of riches or lending his talents to the art of filmed entertainment, the “Bull Durham” alumni can be found rocking out with his band Kevin Costner and the Modern West. From what I understand, they’re not half bad. Have a listen below.

If you’re one of the many who missed the “Hatfields & McCoys” miniseries, fear not: You can always head down to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and partake in the Hatfield-McCoy Dinner Feud. Choose your table carefully.

I bet Patrick Swayze’s ghost is so heartbroken that he can’t be part of the Hatfields & McCoys miniseries.
