Kelly Clarkson gave birth to her daughter River Rose Blackstock on Saturday.
Clarkson had a pretty uneventful pregnancy and unlike some celebs, she didn’t continuously bring it up.
Shortly after getting married, Clarkson said how much she wanted to be a mother. She said that she wasn’t getting any younger and was ready for motherhood.
She and husband Brandon Blackstock announced that they were expecting back in November. Clarkson tweeted about it saying, “I’m pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever.”
In December, Clarkson appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and did talk about her pregnancy saying, “It’s, like, so gross. And that’s the thing too, you’re not attractive when you’re pregnant. Everybody tells you [that] you glow, and your hair is pretty, and your nails are pretty. That is total crap … I have no glow. Unless it’s, like, something left over from a bad throw up. It’s horrible.”
The couple found out they were expecting a daughter in January and shared that news on Twitter as well.

River Rose is the couple’s first child together. Blackstock already has a daughter Savannah, 11, and son Seth, 7, from a previous marriage. Blackstock is the stepson of country music singer Reba McEntire and works as a talent manager.
