    Goldie Hawn has signed on to play Amy Schumer’s mother in an upcoming film directed and produced by the Trainwreck producer and star. This will be Goldie Hawn’s first film role since starring in The Banger Sisters back in 2002.

    On a recent episode of Good Morning America, Goldie Hawn’s daughter, Kate Hudson, shared her excitement about her 70-year-old mom’s upcoming role.

    “I can’t wait!” she said. “I’m so excited! She hasn’t worked in 14 years.”

    Goldie Hawn said Friday, during an interview with The Today Show, that she considers raising her two children–Oliver and Kate Hudson–to be an even greater accomplishment than her career as an actress.

    Her love of children doesn’t stop there either. The Private Benjamin star says her hiatus from the film world served a philanthropic purpose. She and longtime partner Kurt Russell worked to create The Hawn Foundation–a children’s education charity. The foundation introduces new teaching techniques to teachers in schools worldwide to make sure kids are well-versed in social skills–an important facet of their emotional wellbeing.

    Do you remember when Goldie Hawn first appeared on TV in the late 1960s on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In? It’s hard to believe she is now 70 years old.

    It will be fun to see Goldie Hawn back on the big screen when she appears alongside Amy Schumer. Alas fans have a while to wait for her return to the film world, as the as yet unnamed film isn’t set to premiere until 2017.

    People magazine reports that Leonardo DiCaprio has another doppelganger, too. They say reporters believe Kate Hudson’s son Ryder, who is 12, bears an uncanny resemblance to Leo. Reporters took notice of him when he, along with his mom and younger brother, recently walked the red carpet for the Hollywood premiere of Kung Fu Panda 3.

  • Kate Hudson Will Present at Golden Globes With Her ‘Pa,’ Kurt Russell

    Kate Hudson will present at the 2016 Golden Globes with the man she calls “Pa,” Kurt Russell.

    People magazine released a partial list of presenters on Tuesday and fans of the Hawn/Russell/Hudson family must be happy to see that the man the 36-year-old daughter of Goldie Hawn considers her father will present with her.

    In addition, Kurt Russell’s latest film, The Hateful Eight, was nominated for three awards.

    Joining Kate Hudson and Kurt Russell in presenting awards will be 31-year-old Jaimie Alexander, Bryce Dallas Howard, Mel Gibson and Olivia Wilde, according to AceShowBiz.

    Eddie Redmayne and Helen Mirren, who are up for awards, will also present.

    The 33-year-old actor was nominated for his transgender role in The Danish Girl, while Mirren nabbed a nod for her performance in Trumbo.

    Also set to share the stage with host Ricky Gervais are Jim Carrey, Amy Adams, Jaimie Alexander, Patricia Arquette, Jamie Foxx, Amber Heard, Julianne Moore, J.K. Simmons and Channing Tatum.

    The 73rd Golden Globe Awards will air 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) Sunday, Jan. 10, on NBC.

    Just a short time after Kate Hudson posted her birthday wishes for Goldie Hawn, brother Oliver Hudson posted a photo of all the siblings together.

    Kate posted a picture of herself and her siblings on her Instagram account, noting that she was going “off the grid” to spend a week basking in the warmth of her family, celebrating Goldie.

    Kate, 36, and Oliver, 39, never fail to express their love for their mother each year and this year was no different.

    In honor of Goldie’s 70th birthday, Kate Hudson shared a sweet video on Instagram that first pans across cupcakes and a “Happy Birthday” banner on a plane and then shows her cuddling in her mom’s lap and planting a kiss on Hawn’s cheek. Throughout the video, Ellie Goulding’s new song “Army” plays, with lyrics like, “When I’m with you, I’m standing with an army.”

    As if that wasn’t adorable enough, the Rock the Kasbah actress captioned the video with an original poem about her mother’s life.

  • Oliver Hudson Reunites With Biological Father Following Father’s Day Post on Abandonment

    Oliver Hudson called out his biological dad last June on Father’s Day, over having abandoned him and sister Kate Hudson many years back. Hudson did so in an Instagram post.

    The post featured pictures of Kate and Oliver Hudson as kids, and he captioned it “happy abandonment day…”

    It seems in hindsight that Oliver Hudson’s post might have done some good. He and his father have reunited, and while not everything is perfect, at least there is communication between the two.

    Oliver Hudson chatted with Bravo’s Andy Cohen about his reunion with his biological dad on What What Happens Live.

    “It actually started a dialogue,” Oliver Hudson said. “I haven’t talked to my father in 12 years. In my sort of dark, crazy sense of humor, I posted this ‘Happy Abandonment Day’ thing, which, you know, everyone went crazy about. I was just trying to be funny.”

    “At the end of the day it was a good thing. We’re communicating now. I had an amazing three-hour conversation with him. We’re texting and we’re trying to see each other. We might be mending something,” the Scream Queens star explained.

    Initially things didn’t look like they were reparable. After Oliver Hudson’s Father’s Day post, Bill Hudson said Oliver and Kate were dead to him.

    “I had five birth children and I now consider myself a father of three,” Bill Hudson. “I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack.“

    Kurt Russell, who served as a stepfather to Oliver and Kate, reached out to Bill Hudson, and tried to smooth things over.

    “I understood Oliver’s sense of humor and since then, there’s been some nice back and forth between Bill and Oliver that’s nice to see,” Goldie Hawn’s long time partner said.

    Hopefully this is the beginning of a new kind of relationship between Bill and Oliver Hudson. There is no word yet as to how Kate Hudson feels about their reunion.

  • Kate Hudson Is Single and Happy to Have Alone Time

    Kate Hudson is single, raising her kids, and happy to have some time to herself.

    The actress spoke candidly about her new single life with Harper’s Bazaar.

    “It’s nice to get acquainted with myself alone. You know, the goal when you get into a relationship is not to be out of the relationship. It’s to try to stay in the relationship. But if it doesn’t work, you can’t force those things.”

    “It’s good to take a second to make my life about getting myself centered, clearing the energy, no overlapping,” she said. “I’m at that age now. I really do feel very lucky. I’ve had my kids and my relationships. I’ve set my life down – I’m in my house, and I’m alone with my children – and I’m at peace, and that’s a really nice feeling. All I really want in my life is to maintain that.”

    Hudson says that a happy home is more important than some notion of a “traditional family.”

    “It’s hard to let go of something … even when you know that it’s not right. I’ve chosen something in my life that I’m very comfortable with that goes against a lot of people’s more traditional feelings. If something’s not right, I don’t believe in maintaining something for the sake of what’s considered a traditional family, because I believe that there are different ways to raise children. It’s far more effective to raise children in happy homes.”

    Most recently, Hudson has been linked to Nick Jonas – but she’s refused to comment on those speculations.

    Apart from her film projects on the horizon, Kate Hudson recently announced a new book titled “Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body”. The book will cover fitness, nutrition, and “a mindful lifestyle” and will be geared toward women. It’s due out In February.

    “Speaking of my amazing children—Ava and Deacon are here. Hopefully Tennessee is asleep.     Sofia Vergara lightened the moment while recalling the promotion of Hot Pursuit on Spanish TV.

    “She was so gracious that she even spoke in Spanish on live TV with a very weird accent but at least she was trying,” Vergara said of Reese Witherspoon. “It was embarrassing to me.”

    “She has the best skin and the biggest butt of any white woman in Hollywood. You know, it’s true—you have said it to me, too!” Sofia Vergara added.

    In addition to the Modern Family star, Reese Witherspoon was lauded by Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey, Laura Dern, Diane Ladd, and more. Kenny Chesney dedicated his hit “Wild Child” to Witherspoon.

    It no doubt meant a great deal to Reese Witherspoon to receive this award, and even more to have her family and close friends like Sofia Vergara present as part of the celebration.

    Kate Hudson chatted with Bravo’s Andy Cohen on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live. The actress and mom of two was asked about her rumored relationship with Nick Jonas–who is just 23 years old.

    “I don’t like addressing any gossip,” she replied rather sheepishly, leading many to think there really is something going on.

    Adding that the media often meddles in her–and other celeb’s–lives, Kate Hudson added, “I mean, my agent has been my ‘mystery man’ maybe 25 times. Honestly, you can’t [even] hug someone or talk to someone.”

    Something Kate Hudson doesn’t mind talking about at all is her age. Hudson is 36–yes, that’s a full 13 years older than Nick Jonas–and says she’s loving her 30s.

    Running an athletic wear company (Fabletics), acting, being a mom, and doing whatever it is she does with Nick Jonas, Kate Hudson needs lots of energy. How does she achieve that goal at 36?

    “[I work out] whenever I can. When you have kids in school, that’s a lot easier,” she said. “I was going to today because I had all the time in the world, but I just had other things [going on]. I just make sure that I’m consistent with it and I’m just mindful,” she tells People magazine.

    Thanksgiving will soon be upon us, and then Christmas, too. How does Kate Hudson take into account all the extra indulgences to come her way?

    “I just keep working out. You can’t stop. Everyone thinks there’s a trick, but there’s no trick! The trick is, you have to be consistent,” she admitted to People. “I’m a mindful eater. I’m a foodie, so for me, I had to try to figure out how to understand what I’m eating, and then I got really into it and I got excited what I was learning about food.”

    It certainly sounds like Kate Hudson isn’t ready to admit to anything where Nick Jonas is concerned, but she is happy to discuss her health and fitness routine. Maybe she is ramping up her efforts to keep up with not just her sons, but a younger man, too?

    Kate Hudson was put on the spot yet again when she appeared as a guest on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday.

    Rumors about her “special friendship” with pop star Nick Jonas have been circulating for some time now, and it was definitely the burning question on everyone’s minds. However, it wasn’t the usually in-your-face Cohen who asked about the real score between the two celebrities – he got some help from a curious caller.

    “Hi, I have a question for Kate,” began the caller. “Are the rumors true that you’re dating Nick Jonas?” Cohen jubilantly admitted that he had been wanting to ask the question himself. “Number one – this is all I wanna know!” the talk show host joyfully said.

    He went on to explain that since both Hudson and Jonas are “so hot,” that they should be together. “I love it when hot people are together. It’s my favorite thing,” he said. However, Hudson was quick to shut down any speculation, saying that she’s not inclined to dignify baseless rumors. “I don’t like addressing any kind of gossip,” replied Hudson. She added that she’s been linked to her agent “maybe 25 times” just because they had been seen together on several occasions.

    Tongues started wagging about Hudson and Jonas in September when they were seen having fun together at Disney World. They’ve also been seen having brunch together in Miami and partying at a nightclub in New York.

    Apart from her love life, Hudson somewhat admitted that she smoked pot with co-star Matthew McConaughey while filming their 2003 hit movie, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

    Actress, singer, and longtime pal Zooey Deschanel appeared on WWHL alongside Hudson. The two Hollywood stars shared reminisced about growing up together, their childhood experiences, and their encounters with the paparazzi.

    Kate Hudson revealed a few things about herself on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live! with host Andy Cohen.

    Unfortunately, however, Kate Hudson didn’t really say whether or not she is dating Nick Jonas. Of course, that is all anyone really wants to know.

    Kate Hudson managed to dodge the question entirely, explaining that she doesn’t ever like addressing romance rumors.

    Kate Hudson said, “I don’t like addressing any kind of gossip.”

    She added, “My agent [Michael Kives] has been my ‘mystery man’ maybe 25 times. Honestly, you can’t hug someone or talk to someone without it ending up being a thing.”

    Nick Jonas pulled the same stunt last month when he was asked about a possible romantic link to Kate Hudson.

    At the end of a recent interview, a radio DJ sheepishly asked Jonas the big Kate Hudson question, starting with, “I hope you don’t get mad at me…”

    Jonas, however, replied, “I’m not gonna get mad at you, but I’m also not gonna talk about it. [I] keep some things to myself.”

    The rumors started flying last month after Kate Hudson was spotted at Jonas’ New York City concert on September 10th and again soon after, riding roller coasters at Disney World.

    Kate Hudson was also at Jonas’ House of Blues performance after the Disney World sighting and was having brunch with him the next day.

    While Kate Hudson remained mum on her relationship during Watch What Happens Live!, she did disclose that she likely smoked pot with Matthew McConaughey.

    Of course, if you’re a friend or even an acquaintance of McConaughey’s at all, the chances of that are pretty good.

    The actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live and was immediately asked about her love life.

    “I don’t like addressing any kind of gossip,” said Hudson in response to the dating rumors.

    “My agent has been my mystery man maybe 25 times,” she continued. “Honestly, you just can’t like, hug someone, or talk to someone without it ending up being a thing.

    When host Andy Cohen told her it was his wish for her and Jonas to be an item, Hudson responded,

    “I’ll keep that in the back of my mind.”

    Kate Hudson and Nick Jonas got rumors swirling in the past few days, as they were spotted having a great time together at Disney World this past weekend.

    Although a recent report has them hooking up, the “hookup” seemed platonic. Kate Hudson attended Nick Jonas’s concert at the House of Blues on Saturday night. They were spotted enjoy brunch together in Miami the next day.

    A source tells Us Weekly the two are simply friends.

    “They met a couple months back and were in the same city at the same time so they met up,” the source says.

    Kate Hudson split from her fiance of three years, Matt Bellamy, late in 2014. She started dating Dancing With the Stars dance pro Derek Hough shortly thereafter. Hough and Hudson were dating as recently as May, but their present status is uncertain.

    Kate Hudson is the mom of four-year-old son Bingham, who she shares with Matt Bellamy.

    When it comes to all that food she might be shoving in her face, Katy Perry is still realistic about it. She knows she will have to come out of her house sometime to face the public and push her music again, even if that house is not a nunnery.

    Perry knows just how to keep those pounds off.

    “I think a very easy, no money way to stay in shape is to go on wonderful hikes with your girlfriends,” Katy Perry revealed. “Which is great because, sometimes, you find you can’t keep up with all your friends – you want to spend time with them, so then you’re kind of working out and catching up at the same time.”

    Still, there’s nothing quote like touring to keep the fat at bay.

    “But my tour definitely keeps me in shape when I’m on one,” Perry said.

    When it comes to staying in shape, Perry gets by, not only with help from her friends, but with inspiration from some.

    “My friend Kate Hudson continues to look fantastic and she’s had two kids, but she’s very natural, healthy, and she does an alkaline diet,” Perry said. “She’s very committed and hopefully one day I will be able to be that committed.”

    Lea Michele says she tries to put the same philosophy Kate Hudson has into play in her own life. She does that by making sure she exercises.

    “I’ve just been having so much fun because this is genuinely how I live my life,” Lea Michele said. “Everyone has to do things at their own pace and in their own way, but if someone can take one bit of education from this, then I’ve done my job.”

    Part of the joy Lea Michele feels is from the response to her invitation for Instagram followers to join her with their own exercise goals.

    “Pilates has been such an amazing change in my body,” Lea Michele said. “I think you kind of always have to re-adapt to how you’re feeling [and] where you are in your life. This is working for me right now and I’m very excited for it. It helps me do a better job at my job and it puts me in a good mood and makes me feel strong. I really love that.”

    “A couple of years back I tried SoulCycle and I found it really hard,” says Michele. “I don’t know if it’s that I’m a little bit older now, but I’ve been doing spin in New Orleans and I’m really loving it.”

    Kurt Russell has finally spoken up about the row between his step-kids and their biological father.

    Asked at Comic-Con about the now-famous Fathers’ Day posts on Instagram by Oliver and Kate Hudson, Russell said, “I understood Oliver’s sense of humor and since then, there’s been some nice back and forth between Bill and Oliver that’s nice to see.”

    The whole mess started when Oliver Hudson posted a pair of pics to Instagram for Fathers’ Day. The first was obviously directed toward his biological father, Goldie Hawn’s first husband, Bill Hudson.

    The picture showed a young Oliver and his sister Kate with Bill Hudson between them. But it was stingingly captioned:

    Oliver Hudson’s post was followed shortly thereafter by another, this one praising Kurt Russell.

    Kate Hudson backed that up with an Instagram post of her own, this one too praising Kurt Russell as her “Pa.”

    Bill Hudson responded in an interview with the Daily Mail, effectively disowning his kids. He blamed Goldie Hawn for turning his kids against him after she started a relationship with Kurt Russell. Hudson and Hawn divorced in 1980. Hawn and Russell got together in 1983.

    “Goldie wanted to create this myth of a perfect family with Kurt and she wanted me out,” Bill Hudson said.

    “When we split up, she never had a bad word to say about me,’” he says. “But when Kurt came on the scene, the narrative changed and I became the big, bad wolf. I would say to her ‘Goldie, why are you trashing me and saying I’m an absent father when it’s simply not the case?’ and she’d laugh and go ‘Oh Bill, you know it makes for a better story.’”

    Bill Hudson’s response to his kids’ social media posts, especially Oliver’s was public and scathing.

    “I say to them now, ‘I set you free,’” he said. “I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.”

    Kurt Russell says this as more a humorous post, but that all involved have had to see it played out in the public eye.

    “You want people to enjoy life as much as they can,” Kurt Russell says. “We live in a world that if you say something or do something, it can be latched onto [you] for 24 hours or 48 hours.”

    Mother’s Day already looks to be a blockbuster with Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, and Kate Hudson onboard. But, if the rumors are true about Jason Sudeikis joining the cast, it will really be great.

    Jennifer Aniston’s role in the movie is unclear, but she likely won’t be playing a mother of anyone older than 20.

    As the years go by, Jennifer Aniston, 46, appears ageless, but she recently said that she doesn’t mind ageing.

    Speaking to the Daily Mail, Bill Hudson, 65, said he no longer considers Oliver and Kate Hudson as his children after being enraged by a Father’s Day insult.

    “I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I say to them no, ‘I set you free’,” Bill said during the interview. “I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three.”

    Oliver, 38, posted a photo of himself and Kate, 36, with Bill accompanied by a message reading, “Happy abandonment day.”

    What made Bill’s outburst even worse are the Father’s Day messages of Kate and Oliver addressing Kurt Russell as their ‘Pa’. Russell has been the long-time love of Bill’s ex, Goldie Hawn.

    Moreover, Bill blames Russell on his estrangement with his family. According to Bill, Hawn never had a bad word to say about him but everything changed when Russell entered Hawn’s life.

    Goldie Hawn visited Greece on Tuesday with her daughter Kate Hudson. The two soaked in the summer heat along the beach in Greece.

    Hudson hit the beach on Monday in a blue bikini and later emerged in a purple two-piece swimsuit. She hung out with her mom, Hawn, and a few more gal pals like stylist Sophie Lopez and best friend Kari DeLonge. Hudson’s ex-fiancé Matthew Bellamy also joined the troupe.

    Hawn and Hudson managed to stay in shape and look fabulous at all times. Hudson shared a line she always keeps in mind as she does meditation.

    “By living mindfully you understand that there are many transitions in life. You just go through them,” said Hudson.
