  • Nikki Ferrell of ‘The Bachelor’ Engaged, Chris Harrison Comments

Nikki Ferrell of The Bachelor is engaged to boyfriend Tyler Vanloo.

The 29-year-old nurse announced the happy news Monday by posting photos of Vanloo’s proposal to social media.

The engagement comes less than 15 months after her split from Season 18 Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis, which was a questionable match from the get-go.

“And on the last day of vacation this happened! I can’t wait to marry my best friend. Over the moon happy right now!” Ferrell captioned her post.

According to a report by UPI, the couple are longtime friends who reconnected in 2015.

Host Christ Harrison confirmed the engagement Monday on the Season 20 premiere after show, Bachelor Live, which features Ben Higgins, who placed third on The Bachelorette Season 11 with Kaitlyn Bristowe.

“Nikki Ferrell is engaged,” said Harrison. “She finally got the engagement she always dreamed of.”

Nikki’s season was somewhat controversial. She won Season 18 in March 2014, but failed to receive a proposal from 34-year-old Galavis on the finale. The two continued to date into October 2014, when she finally split from the soccer player.

“It didn’t end because we didn’t love each other or [over] a lack of communication,” Nikki Ferrell told Harrison on The Bachelor Season 19 premiere in January 2015. “It just ended because of a difference of lifestyle … We gave it a good try, but we’re two different people.”

The Bachelor airs 8 p.m. ET Mondays.

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe Chose Her Final Two And They May Kill Each Other Before It’s All Over

Kaitlyn Bristowe has narrowed her future husband field down to two.

However, these two might kill each other before either one can marry Kaitlyn Bristowe.

While the family meetings with Kaitlyn Bristowe went well and both families seemed pleased with her, the friction between Nick and Shawn is almost unbearable. Yet, it’s what is driving this show right now, right?

What girl doesn’t dream of two hot guys fighting over her? Kaitlyn Bristowe is certainly no exception.

While it was fun to watch how the dates went down, it was the heated conversations between Nick and Shawn that really stole the show.

Life decisions are never easy decisions. #thebachelorette

During one such heated discussion, Shawn accused Nick of not even being on the show for Kaitlyn and called him and a**hole.

Nick brought up, one of several times, Shawn’s Eskimo brothers story.

Early in the show, Kaitlyn Bristowe showed concern for the feuding contestants, saying, “Nick and Shawn just hate each other,” adding “It’s actually taking away from what I feel for both of them.”

Oh my goodness. What’s Kaitlyn Bristowe to do?

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe Speaks: If This Was “Bachelor”, People Would “Already Be Past” Scandal

Kaitlyn Bristowe has been taking a lot of heat after Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette.

If you’ve been under a rock, this particular episode featured Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nick Viall in a very…um, audible… rendezvous.

Kaitlyn Bristowe has since been shamed and called all kinds of names for jumping the gun with Nick.

Now, Kaitlyn Bristowe is speaking out against what she feels is unfair criticism.

Kaitlyn Bristowe confessed to ET, “I did not know that everyone could hear us. I think it was probably mics from the camera, because we didn’t have mics on.”

She added, “It was awkward, yeah, I was like, ‘Oh wow, everyone can hear that.’”

Yeah, it was awkward for everyone. Everyone.

Kaitlyn Bristowe then pointed out a seemingly obvious comparison between The Bachelorette and The Bachelor.

She said, “I think if this was the other way around — if it was The Bachelor — I think people would’ve already moved past it by now.”

She added, “I also feel that [sleeping with a contestant] has happened in the past, but maybe it was just wasn’t talked about, it was just kind of brushed over.”

What do you think? Do you agree with Kaitlyn Bristowe that this would have been received differently if she were a man?

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe: ‘Ian Did Enough Damage to Himself,’ Hilarious Spoof on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’

Kaitlyn Bristowe shed no tears when Ian left The Bachelorette earlier this week. In fact, given his exit interview, most of the show’s fans likely waved him off with a rude gesture as he rode away–still muttering–in his town car.

“I’m being punished for being an intellectual,” he said. “They didn’t teach cheesy music quotes at Princeton. I don’t find that women have trouble relating to me because I’m too deep. Seeing how badly Kaitlyn’s been at being The Bachelorette, I feel like I know what it takes to be The Bachelor.”

Fortunately for Kaitlyn Bristowe, there are far better specimens from which she will eventually choose.

Tuesday night on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, two members of The Roots–Questlove and Tariq–re-enacted a scene between Kaitlyn Bristowe and Ian prior to his leaving the show. Tariq played the role of Ian. Questlove was Kaitlyn.

Even if you don’t watch The Bachelorette, you’ll love the scene these two created.

Following their skit, Kaitlyn Bristowe joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on stage, where she and Questlove competed for applause from the audience. It’s a bit uncertain which one of them garnered more.

Are you a fan of The Bachelorette? What is your take on the scene between Kaitlyn Bristowe and Ian?

Would you prefer to watch the drama rehashed in the deadpan manner that Questlove and Tariq shared with fans on The Tonight Show instead?

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe Explains Last Night’s Teary Episode Of “The Bachelorette”

Kaitlyn Bristowe has come under some heat recently for the way she is handling her relationships on The Bachelorette.

Monday night’s episode just seemed to showcase how Kaitlyn Bristowe’s life is becoming increasingly complicated.

Of course, Kaitlyn Bristowe got intimate with one of the contestants and that just tends to throw a wrench in things.

The problem is, that’s why people watch and at the same time, that is apparently what makes people disgusted.

For Kaitlyn Bristowe, however, there are no regrets in her relationship with Nick Viall.

Kaitlyn Bristowe told People, “That’s something I don’t think I should be ashamed of.”

She added that what happened on Monday’s episode “something that would probably happen in the real world.”

But do people care what would happen in the real world? No.

Kaitlyn Bristowe said of the backlash, “I know so many people can relate, but it’s so easy for them to judge at the same time.”

She added, “It’s easier to judge than to relate to my situation!”

What did you think of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s actions on Monday night’s Bachelorette?

  • Whitney Bischoff Enjoys Get Together With Becca Tilley and Kaitlyn Bristowe

Whitney Bischoff enjoyed a reunion of sorts with her runner up on season 19 of The Bachelor–Becca Tilley–as well as current Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. The three got together in Whitney Bischoff’s hometown of Chicago to celebrate Bischoff and Bristowe’s birthdays.

The relationship between Becca Tilley and Whitney Bischoff is an especially intriguing one, as they both competed for that elusive red rose from The Bachelor, Chris Soules. When Whitney won, however, it didn’t destroy their friendship.

Now that Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have called it quits, she’s likely even happier that she held her friendship with Becca Tilley in such high regard.

It was Sunday when both of these ladies–who will soon celebrate their 30th birthdays–met up with Kaitlyn Bristowe.

The fun was chronicled on social media.

Becca Tilley captioned this post, “Chitown- you rule! @whitb624 @kaitlynbristowe.”

Whitney Bischoff has been spending lots of time with these, as well as other girlfriends since she and Chris Soules announced at the end of May that they were no longer engaged.

The two issued a statement to Us Weekly at the time, saying they’d decided to “mutually and amicably” end their engagement.

“They part ways with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends,” the statement read.

Breaking up is tough, whether it’s amicable or not. Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules played out their relationship in the media, and that has to make the break up even more awkward. Hopefully the time Whitney Bischoff spends with her girlfriends helps her put her life back in order, while allowing some time for having fun.

It’s plain to see that her get together with Kaitlyn Bristowe and Becca Tilley was filled with lots of it.

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe Says “Bachelorette” Contestant Ian Was “Nasty”

Kaitlyn Bristowe gave The Bachelorette fans the scoop on her blog this week, talking about what went down with the contestants and giving teasers about what they can expect to see in next week’s episode. Not surprisingly for those who have been watching, Kaitlyn had a few choice words to say about Ian, who made a point to take her to task for not spending enough time with him.

Ian not only physically compared Kaitlyn to his former girlfriends, he also called her shallow, something she says was very hurtful.

“Logically, I knew what being the Bachelorette would entail, but in reality it was tougher navigating the guys’ feelings than I ever could have predicted. And I certainly never could have anticipated a guy feeling the need to insult my looks like Ian choose to do. Ouch. And I’m shallow? As a woman – no, as a person – that is hurtful to hear. And completely unnecessary. I understood Ian’s frustration; after all I’ve been in his shoes. But it was a hurtful, unwarranted comment. And this coming from a man who felt the need to explain that he has no trouble getting women to sleep with him back home,” Bristowe wrote on her blog. “Honestly, the more I got to know Ian, the more arrogant I realized he was. Yes, he’s very intelligent, and I respect his opinions. I also believe in honest and open communication. But the accusatory way in which he confronted me was downright nasty and designed to hurt me. And it did hurt me.”

We all know what happens to contestants who let their arrogance show, especially after the Bachelorette had a romantic date with someone else and admitted to feeling sparks fly.

“That night was an ideal hangout for me. Log cabin, bonfire, lanterns, wine and a handsome man. Hearing Shawn talk about his accident made me want to just throw my arms around him, cry and tell him how happy I was that he was there in that moment with me. Watching him let his guard down was the reason I couldn’t hold back, and I had to tell him I was falling, too. There was a natural chemistry between us, and it was unlike anything I had felt before,” Kaitlyn Bristowe said.

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe: Andi Dorfman Warns ‘Bachelorette’ About Nick Viall

Kaitlyn Bristowe–this season’s Bachelorette–received a warning form past Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, following the arrival of her ex, Nick Viall, on Monday night’s show.

Dorfman, a former district attorney, Tweeted off a message to Kaitlyn Bristowe after Nick Viall showed up on her group date in New York City.

Good at getting what he wants–Nick did just that. He got Kaitlyn Bristowe to invite him to join the show. The other Bachelorette suitors were none too pleased with her offer.

So what did Andi Dorfman say to Kaitlyn Bristowe in her Twitter warning?

She told her to run. Dorfman was completely turned off by Nick Viall when he discussed their sexual escapades during her After the Final Rose special.

Nick Viall was the runner-up on Andi Dorfman’s season 10 of The Bachelorette. Kaitlyn Bristowe appeared on Chris Soules’ Season 19 of The Bachelor. Viall and Bristowe flirted via text message several times follower her recent stint on The Bachelor.

The Tweet Andi Dorfman sent Kaitlyn Bristowe was favorited more than 6,000 times.

Kaitlyn Bristowe replied to Andi Dorfman’s Tweet.

Andi Dorfman shared a few more words with The Bachelorette.

Will Kaitlyn Bristowe at the very least proceed with caution now that Andi Dorfman has warned her about Nick Viall?

Or will she proceed at her own pace instead and possibly winding up falling head over heels for the former contestant?

  • ‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe Said To Be Pregnant After Taping ABC Show

The Bachelorette baby watch ended even before it begun, with Kaitlyn Bristowe deftly snipping the news at the bud.

Reports say that instead of love, the newest Bachelorette ended up with a baby. The news is not really new as every year baby rumors always start swirling as the show gets ready to air, with viewers wondering (and hoping?) that something more blossomed between the contestants.

So it’s no surprise that the 30-year-old Bristowe would also be hounded with baby rumors, especially since she has admitted to being intimate with one of her suitors even before the eagerly anticipated Fantasy Suite dates started.

Life & Style magazine certainly seemed convinced of this. Bristowe is front and center on the magazine’s June 8 cover, along with a small photo of a pregnancy test. The mag also played up the rumors with claims that the dancer is “hurt and confused” and that she “can’t believe this happened.”

You’d think that a woman who’s confident enough to assert her sexuality would suddenly forget to protect herself.

Anyway, in typical Bristowe fashion, the Vancouver native laughingly blew off rumors that she’s baking a small human for Nick Viall, the Bachelor she allegedly got intimate with.

When congratulated by Elan Galle, one of the producers, about the happy news on Twitter, Bristowe responded in kind.

“Thank you so much I appreciate all the support. I’m going to name him Elan @theyearofelan.”

Well, that should be a load off Viall’s mind. Although, if a certain news report is to be believed, Viall and Bristowe seemed to have had something going on for a while now so a Bachelorette hook-up might be inevitable.

Based on Viall’s tweets, viewers can tell he has been attracted to Bristowe since her run on The Bachelor.

An insider also confirms that the two “started talking” in January and have a connection.

I guess we’ll just have to see how this connection plays out.

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe ‘Slut-Shamed’ For Having Sex On ‘The Bachelorette’

Kaitlyn Bristowe ‘Slut-Shamed’ For Having Sex On ‘The Bachelorette’

For a show that revolves around a person dating several men or women simultaneously, The Bachelorette viewers can be such prudes, as Kaitlyn Bristowe recently found out.

The Vancouver native is experiencing some backlash after this season’s The Bachelorette trailer showed her candidly talking about having sex with a suitor even before the notorious “fantasy suite” episode.

The clip showed the brunette hanging a “do not disturb” sign on her door followed by some heavy breathing.

But Bristowe is confounded by the negative feedback she’s getting for doing something everyone does, especially since she’s an adult.

“I’m a 30-year-old woman and I make my own decisions and intimacy to me is a part of every relationship,” she explained before adding that she doesn’t “know why everyone is so shocked by it. It’s 2015.”

However, Bristowe was also seen expressing some remorse in the trailer when the other suitors heard about the incident.

While she appeared tearful, the new Bachelorette says she’s not ashamed of what she did.

“I just regret the timing. But I’m also not afraid to talk about it,” she said.

Other Bachelor alums have rallied around the embattled Bristowe, even calling out ABC for their alleged slut-shaming of the dancer over something that regularly happens on the show.

AshLee Frazier, who was on the 17th season of The Bachelor, admits that aside from Sean Lowe and another bachelor “they all have sex. They don’t (talk about it), and I don’t know why.”

One person who’s probably chortling about this issue is Britt Nilsson. The deposed candidate is known to have had her claws out for Bristowe and has been “out for blood” since the beginning.

A source even says that “instead of teaching the guys about herself, Britt spent her time in the house throwing Kaitlyn under the bus.”

We imagine she’s doing a happy dance just about now.

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe Worried About Britt’s Feelings After “Bachelorette” Win

Kaitlyn Bristowe will be the star of The Bachelorette, and she couldn’t be more surprised or excited.

As the world is now aware, on Tuesday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, it was Kaitlyn Bristowe who collected the most roses and won the chance to sift through a large collection of men for a chance at real love.

The very next day, Kaitlyn Bristowe has taken to her blog again to share her feelings about what went on at the mansion.

Of course, the sweet Kaitlyn Bristowe was mostly worried about Britt Nilsson.

Kaitlyn Bristowe wrote, “When Chris Harrison told me the news, of course I was excited. But the first thing that came to mind was, ‘How is Britt?’ I wanted to run to her and give her a huge hug and make sure she was okay.”

She continued, “Britt is a strong woman, so I knew she would handle it well, but that’s just not something anyone would want to go through. It was without a doubt the strangest mix of emotions all at once.”

In addition to the emotional low of worrying about Britt in her disappointment, she also got to experience a very sincere welcome from most of the guys.

Kaitlyn Bristowe recounted her feelings when host Chris Harrison announced to the room full of men that she was staying and she got to walk out to greet them.

She wrote, “I was thrilled to walk around that corner when Chris Harrison announced me as the Bachelorette. But, at the same time, how could I not wonder who would be disappointed? Life is about connections, and some people have better chemistry with others. That don’t make you bad people. [sic] When you have a group of men and two different women, it’s to be expected that the room could be split.”

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe: “I Don’t Want Anyone’s Feelings To Get Hurt”

Kaitlyn Bristowe was kind enough to give us a glimpse of just what was going on inside her head during the opening show for this season’s Bachelorette.

By invitation, Kaitlyn Bristowe composed a blog entry for People, detailing her experience meeting the bachelors for the first time.

Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed that she (sort of) had a strategy to win over the guys who would ultimately decide her fate on the show.

She said, “Laugh, be sincere and make the guys feel comfortable. And, to be honest, once the first limo pulled up and I accepted the awkward situation, we did have some fun! I would look over at Britt, and we would giggle. The guys were more nervous than we were, which took the pressure off!”

Kaitlyn Bristowe also gave a little insight into why she seemed to be trying to “cheat” when she ran inside the house with the guys and left Britt outside waiting for the rest of the limos.

It's about to get real. Real quick. 4 days #thebachelorette

A photo posted by Kaitlyn Bristowe (@kaitlynbristowe) on

She said, “And just to go back to my strategy for a second … when I ran inside to say hi to the guys, I wasn’t trying to be unfair or discourteous. That was never a game plan or strategy. It was meant to be a sweet gesture. We were waiting for another limo, and it was a few minutes late.”

She continued, ” I heard all the guys inside laughing and having fun, and I had a split second of FOMO (fear of missing out). I wanted to just run in, say hi and tell them how great they were. I remember that night being so long with Chris Soules and thinking how nice it would be for him to run in and just say hi! Sorry if that felt rude, Britt!!”

I don’t know, that seemed like a very calculated bit of strategy.

What do you think? Whose box would you put your rose in? Kaitlyn Bristowe’s or Britt Nilsson’s?
