  • Fergie and Josh Duhamel Get Baby Baptized

Thursday, Dec.12 was a very special day for Fergie and Josh Duhamel. The happy couple had their beautiful baby son Axl baptized.

Axl Jack got baptized at a local church in Los Angeles sometime in the morning.

While all the attention was on the newborn baby, we couldn’t help but notice how lovely the joyous couple looked. Josh was looking dapper as ever in a dark suit. While he looked stylish, he didn’t overdo it or outshine his musically-inclined wife. Fergie chose an off-white suit that hung gently on her petite frame.

And of course Axl himself looked handsome in a precious, white christening gown complete with matching booties.

Fergie opened up to E! about motherhood saying, “He’s starting to try to talk to me and sing with me.”

Does this mean we have a little musician in the making?

“I’ll sit there and I’ll sing songs to him and he’ll just look at me and he’ll laugh and he’ll try to chime in. He makes these really weird sounds! And I’ll just clap like the proud mama I am,” Fergie said.

  • Fergie, Josh Duhamel Share Son’s First Pictures

Most celebrities are relatively selective in determining the right time to go public with pictures of their baby. Fergie and Josh Duhamel appeared to be in that same number as of September 16. When asked when the world could see a picture of their son, Axl Jack, the “Life as We Know It” actor kindly replied via Twitter, stating that he and his wife wanted him ‘all to themselves.’ However, the two must have had a sudden change of her heart.

On the following day, Fergie and Josh Duhamel proved they no longer had any reservations about offering a glimpse of their first-born, when they debuted the first public pictures of their son to the world. On September 17, the “Glamorous Life” singer and her husband both decided to reveal pictures of their 3-week-old son, via Twitter. The proud mother took the liberty of posting first.

A couple hours later, Duhamel posted a picture of his own from the day his son was born.

According to Access Hollywood, the two even decided to share yet another picture of their son on Saturday, just a couple days after debuting his first pictures. However this time, little Axl decided to open his eyes! Josh Duhamel’s version of the adorable picture included a light-hearted caption at the bottom that read, “Go Bison,” – a declaration to the state football team for his home state of North Dakota.

The couple welcomed their first-born into the world last month on August 29.

Josh Duhamel tweeted a picture on Sunday, Sept. 8, of his and Fergie’s “first parenting compromise”—a Miami Dolphins stuffed animal wearing a Minnesota Vikings hat! “This isn’t so hard,” the new dad wrote.

Axl, who was born Aug. 29 via C-section at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Hospital, will hopefully root for mom and dad’s favorite teams, but he won’t get away with whatever he wants.

“We both grew up with regular parents and regular upbringings,” Josh, 40, told E! News last month at the premiere of Scenic Route in L.A.. “We didn’t get away with much, and we plan to do the same with our kid.”

When asked whether he or Fergie, 38, would be the disciplinarian with the couple’s little one, Josh said they “both have a little bit of that in us.”

Fergie and Josh already have a handle on this whole parenting compromise thing!

  • Julianne Hough Abused As A Child While Studying Dance

Actress and choreographer Julianne Hough recently opened up about being mentally and physically abused as a child, and says she fought hard for a part in the new Nicholas Sparks movie because she knew she could relate to the character.

At the tender age of ten, Hough was awarded a scholarship to study dance in London, and though her older brother Derek was there with her, she had no adult caregiver to watch over her. The result was a string of abuse that began in part because she was so young but looked much older.

“I was 10 years old looking like I was 28, being a very sensual dancer,” Hough said. “I was a tormented little kid who had to put on this sexy facade because that was my job and my life. But my heart was the same, and I was this innocent little girl. I wanted so much love.”

Though she won’t go into detail about what happened or who was responsible for the abuse–Hough says she has moved on and forgiven her tormentors–her past may have helped her develop a crucial emotional acting range, which won her a part in her new film, “Safe Haven”.

“I had a perception that she was just a very light and charming girl that might not have the emotional range,” director Lasse Hallstrom said.

But co-star Josh Duhamel disagreed and persuaded the director to take another look.

“I told Lasse, ‘There is a sadness in that room, something more complicated that the character needed to have. And that’s what she has,’” Duhamel said.

The film, which is based on a Nicholas Sparks book, centers on a woman who falls in love with a widower after escaping an abusive relationship.
