  • Amber Heard, Johnny Depp Reportedly Putting Hold On Wedding

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been a much-talked about couple for the past several months; after the announcement of their engagement, fans have enjoyed seeing the two of them in love. However, with Depp’s recent strange appearance at the Hollywood Film Awards, rumors are flying that they are having troubles in their relationship and have put marriage plans on hold.

Depp, who plays The Wolf in the new film adaptation of Into The Woods, appeared intoxicated at the awards show and slurred his words as he presented an award, leading some to question what was going on with the actor. According to E! News, the couple is still in love but tend to argue a lot.

“They have extreme personalities and are both very intense people. Arguments are bound to arise,” a source said.

Though it’s not clear if the couple spent the Thanksgiving holiday together, Heard visited Depp on the set of Black Mass over the summer, a film about notorious Boston gangster Whitey Bulger that almost didn’t get the greenlight due to funding. Depp was reportedly asked to take a pay cut last summer in order to complete the movie.

According to The Daily Mail, Heard may not be ready to settle down, and was embarrassed by Depp’s behavior at the awards show in November.

“Amber couldn’t believe he had made such a fool out of himself. This reflects really badly on her, and she’s not happy about it,” a source said.

  • Anna Kendrick Talks “Into the Woods”

Anna Kendrick Talks “Into the Woods”

Actress and singer Anna Kendrick recently opened up about her role in the upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical Into the Woods.

The film, a Walt Disney Pictures production, was adapted from a Tony Award-winning musical created by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. Into the Woods is an amalgam of various Grimm fairy tales, and concerns a childless couple who seek to break a hex they were cursed with by a sullen witch.

The script adds a different take on various established fantasies including Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella. Kendrick, who plays Cinderella, commented, “it’s sort of all the fairy tales more or less as you know them, you know, intersecting and creating some degree of chaos in the woods.”

The Twilight franchise actress, who garnered Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her work in 2009’s Up In The Air, added, “Cinderella is more or less the same story that we know for the first half of the movie. Then, of course, the second half is when all the characters have to come face to face with the consequences of their actions.”

Here is the trailer for Into the Woods:

Into the Woods was directed by Rob Marshall, and co-stars Meryl Streep, Chris Pine, Emily Blunt and Johnny Depp. The film opens on Christmas day.

Kendrick, 29, is also a musician, and scored a hit in 2012 with her cover of a song called “Cups,” which was originally adapted by Lulu and the Lampshades from a 1931 recording entitled “When I’m Gone.”

Kendrick’s rendition of “Cups,” which was recorded for her film Pitch Perfect, went on to chart at no. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

  • Into the Woods: Sneak Peek of Johnny Depp as the Wolf

Into the Woods: Sneak Peek of Johnny Depp as the Wolf

    I wish…

Fans of the Stephen Sondheim musical Into the Woods are anxious for the film to arrive this December. But in the meantime, Entertainment Weekly’s annual Holiday Movie Preview is giving audiences a sneak peek with four different colorful covers featuring characters from the film.

Cover 1 of 4 gives us the first glimpse of actor Johnny Depp in the role of The Wolf. Wearing something similar to a zoot suit, Depp stands alongside actress Lilla Crawford who plays Little Red Riding Hood.

Others in the cast include Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady) as the Witch, Mackenzie Mauzy (Broadway cast of Next to Normal) as Rapunzel, Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air) as Cinderella, Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Cinderella’s Prince, James Corden (the new host of The Late Late Show on CBS) as the Baker, and Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow) as the Baker’s Wife.

“I’ve been offered many witches over the years, starting when I was 40, and I said no to all of them,” Streep told Entertainment weekly. “But this was really fun because it played with the notion of what witches mean. They represented age and ugliness and scary powers we don’t understand. So here’s my opportunity to say, here’s what you wish for when you’re getting old.”

Others in the cast include Daniel Huttlestone (Les Miserables) as Jack, Tracey Ullman (The Tracy Ullman Show) as Jack’s Mother, Christine Baranski (The Good Wife) as Cinderella’s Stepmother, and Frances de la Tour (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) as the Giant.

For those who aren’t familiar with the story of Into the Woods, it is a “modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.”

The original Broadway production premiered on November 5, 1987 and ran for 764 performances, winning Tony Awards for Best Score, Best Book, and Best Actress in a Musical (Joanna Gleason as the Baker’s Wife).

Although the big-screen adaptation will include songs from the musical including “Children Will Listen,” “Giants in the Sky,” “On the Steps of the Palace,” and “Agony,” among others, some aspects of the film will be different. While still keeping dark elements, some changes include The Wolf’s relationship with Little Red, which will no longer be sexual, Rapunzel not meeting a grisly death, and the Baker’s Wife not having an affair with Cinderella’s Prince.

“I didn’t want this to look like a cartoon world,” said director Rob Marshall (Chicago). “It’s not sunny, sunny, sunny – we wanted a sense of danger.”

Into the Woods hits theaters on December 25 (Christmas Day).

  • Amber Heard’s Privacy Breached By Second Batch Of Nude Photo Leaks

A second wave of leaked nude photos of female celebrities now includes pictures of actress Amber Heard. She is one on a list of female celebrities including Gabrielle Union, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian whose private accounts were reportedly hacked in order to steal and leak photos of them in various states of undress. Heard’s and other photos were posted on Sunday and showed up on sites such as 4chan and Reddit.

The nude photo leaks are thought to be a blow to Heard, who has been known to safeguard her privacy, especially when it pertains to her relationship with fiancé, actor Johnny Depp. The couple has given few details about their lives off-camera to the public. In an interview with Collider in September 2011, she stressed her need to keep her personal details away from prying eyes. “I’ve always been a private person. I’ve always valued my private life,” she said.

However, Heard’s privacy has been breached by the recent nude photo leaks, which includes more than 50 photos of her in compromising situations. One photo of Heard shows her undressed and holding up a sign for Depp, according to TMZ. The sign addresses Depp as Tonto, his character from The Lone Ranger. Another photo shows her participating in what appears to be a threesome, while yet another shows her smoking from a bong, reported The New York Daily News.

Unlike the photos from the first nude photo leak, which included pictures of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton, Heard’s photos and those of other celebrities were reportedly soon deleted from sites due to new regulations on posting copyrighted images. The FBI said on September 1, after the first leak, that it was “addressing the matter” of the hacking allegations.

Heard’s name was reportedly among a master list of hacking victims that was posted at the time of the first leak. Other celebrities who were victimized by hackers include Kate Bosworth, Hayden Panetierre, Lake Bell, Avril Lavigne, Leelee Sobieski and Aubrey Plaza.

  • Amber Heard’s Topless Pic to Johnny Depp Among Second Wave of Nude Photos Leak

A topless picture Amber Heard sent to Johnny Depp was leaked online in a second wave of celebrity nude photos leaked yesterday, which include A-list celebrities Gabrielle Union, Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, Kate Bosworth, Hayden Panetierre, Lake Bell, Avril Lavigne and Vanessa Hudgens.

Heard had over 50 nude or semi-nude photographs posted onto websites 4chan and Reddit yesterday, including the private topless message to her 51-year-old fiancé.

According to TMZ, Heard is shown topless holding up a sign directed at the Lone Ranger star, referring to him as “Tonto.”

Meanwhile, Being Mary Jane star Union has lashed out after a private, topless photo she sent to her new husband, Dwyane Wade, was leaked online, comparing the publication of private pictures to “hate crimes.”

The leak led the couple to contact the FBI and release a pointed statement.

“It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures.

“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimised, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.

“For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes – we send our love, support and prayers. We have done nothing wrong.”

This new wave of photos comes three weeks after another group of stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Kaley Cuoco and Kate Upton, had photographs leaked online.

More than 100 celebrities were affected by the scandal last month after an unidentified hacker stole private nude images and videos from Apple’s iCloud.

Apple denies a security breach and said it was “outraged” by the attack. The tech megalith encourages users to update their accounts with a “strong” password and enable two-step verification.

  • Whitey Bulger Transferred From Arizona To Florida

Whitey Bulger, the alleged Boston-area crime boss who was convicted in 2013 on charges of racketeering and murder, has been transferred from a prison in Arizona to one in Florida.

Bulger’s attorney says he wasn’t given a reason for the move. Bulger actually stayed at a prison in Oklahoma for a few days before making the move, but it’s not clear how long he will be in Florida.

“I haven’t been notified of any reason why he has been moved to Florida…the Bureau of Prisons routinely moves people for a variety of reasons,” Hank Brennan said.

Bulger was convicted last year on counts of money laundering, racketeering, and for the murder of at least 11 people and was given a double life sentence plus five years. Several family members of his alleged victims testified against him, including Sean McGonagle, who said he was just eleven years old when his father, a rival gang member, disappeared. Paul McGonagle’s body was found decades later, but Sean said he’ll never forget answering the phone as a child and hearing Bulger’s voice say, “Your father won’t be coming home for Christmas.” When the boy asked who he was speaking to, Bulger allegedly replied, “Santa Claus.”

“You’re a domestic terrorist fueled by greed and sickening evil,” McGonagle told Bulger during the trial.

Bulger is the subject of a film starring Johnny Depp called Black Mass, which will be released next fall. The movie also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Sienna Miller, Adam Scott, and Joel Edgerton. Boston locals will recognize the Boston University band in a St. Patrick’s Day scene, which the university’s director said was a bit hectic to film.

“It was a little bit hectic. The first hour was spent learning the music, and in the second hour we practiced the piece all together. We rushed through memorization of the piece, the Irish folk tune ‘The Garry Owen March,’ which was fairly simple thankfully, so we could get outside and practice marching, as most of us had never marched with each other,” Aaron Goldberg told BU Today.

  • Johnny Depp and Lily-Rose Depp to Star in ‘Yoga Hosers’

Johnny Depp and his 15-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, are set to begin filming for a new movie they will star in together. Called Yoga Hosers, this film is dubbed a ‘comic book movie,’ and it also stars writer Kevin Smith’s daughter, Hailey Quinn Smith.

“People always ask me ‘Are you ever going to make a comic book movie?’ This is it–but instead of yet another dude saving the day, our antiheroes are the most feared and formidable creatures man has ever encountered: two 15-year-old girls,” Smith explains.

This isn’t the first time Johnny Depp and Kevin Smith’s daughters have appeared on the big screen either. Both teens had cameos in Kevin Smith’s last film called Tusk. Tusk will premiere in September at the Toronto Film Festival.

In Yoga Hosers, Lily-Rose Depp and Hailey Quinn Smith will play the crime-fighting Colleens. They will join forces with Johnny Depp’s character to–according to the film’s producers–battle evil, “all seven Chakras, one Warrior Pose at a time.”

Johnny Depp has spent many years keeping his two children he shares with former partner Vanessa Paradis (both Lily-Rose Depp and Jack Depp) out of the limelight. It seems as Lily-Rose is trying to forge her own path into the acting world, he is becoming more in tune with her wishes by helping her learn her craft–but staying close by at the same time.

One place Lily-Rose Depp didn’t make herself obvious was on the set of Black Mass, in which Johnny Depp plays the role of mobster Whitey Bulger. That film is set to premiere in 2015–and Depp is hard to recognize. Many of that film’s scenes were shot in the Boston area where Whitey Bulger committed so many of his heinous crimes.

Do you foresee Johnny Depp and Lily-Rose Depp becoming the next father-daughter film sensation or do you think Depp is just affording Lily-Rose the opportunity to dip her toes in the water?

  • Johnny Depp Not Evil Enough To Play Whitey Bulger

Johnny Depp has been involved with the film Black Mass for several months now, seeing it through several problems that arose after production began and battling with producers over a pay cut. Despite all his hard work, however, at least one man who actually worked with Whitey Bulger–the focus of the film–says Depp isn’t the right man to portray the Boston legend.

Bulger–who was found guilty last year of 32 federal charges including murder, racketeering, and money laundering–went on the run in the ’90s after an informant friend in the FBI tipped him off to an impending arrest, and he lived for several years on the lam. However, he was caught in San Francisco after a curious neighbor notified authorities in 2011. Since then, he has been in the headlines for a lengthy trial that brought many dark tales of corruption and violence to light.

Eric Schneider, who at one time reportedly worked for Bulger, said that Depp is too “wimpy and dorky” to play the organized crime boss and has described Bulger as a “demon” with intense eyes that seem to burn right through a person.

Depp was spotted filming in Revere, Massachusetts recently in full makeup and costume; his co-star Sienna Miller was seen as well. Producers have transformed the local filming area into Miami Beach, complete with palm trees.

  • Johnny Depp Crashes Willie Nelson’s Boston Show

Johnny Depp crashed Willie Nelson’s show in Boston on Tuesday–and some audience members didn’t even know it. Depp, who is in Boston filming a movie about mobster Whitey Bulger–in which he plays the lead character–simply played guitar throughout Nelson’s set. The 81-year-old (yes, Willie Nelson is 81) introduced his band members, but used only their first names.

“He just said something like, ‘And that’s Johnny over there playin’ the guitar,’ ” an attendee from Boston said, adding that Depp “even played a solo in one of the songs.”

Can you imagine how exciting this must have been for those in the audience who realized exactly who the handsome guitarist was? It’s like they got a ‘two-fer’ at a Willie Nelson concert.

The fans who did recognize Depp eagerly shared their discoveries via Twitter.

Just a few hours earlier Johnny Depp appeared on the set of Black Mass along with costar Juno Temple, as they filmed scenes in South Boston. Fiancee Amber Heard reportedly watched some of the filming this week. It’s unknown if she is sticking around or had been in town for long. Depp turned 51 back on June 9th. Perhaps her presence was an ongoing birthday treat?

Johnny Depp is unrecognizable in makeup and in character as Whitey Bulger in the biopic. One would never recognize the mobster as the man who played guitar on stage with Willie Nelson. His slicked back hair worn over a bald cap is a major transformation from the heartthrob women have lusted over for years. The film is based on the 2012 nonfiction account of Bulger’s crimes–also titled Black Mass.

The real Whitey Bulger is currently serving two consecutive life sentences for his crimes. The film is set to premiere in theaters some time in 2015.

  • Anna Kendrick Claims She Hasn’t Been Hit on in 5 Years

Anna Kendrick Claims She Hasn’t Been Hit on in 5 Years

Anna Kendrick recently told Elle magazine that she hasn’t been hit on in five years.

Difficult as it may be to believe, Kendrick said she “honest to God” hasn’t been hit on since 2009’s Up in the Air, the romantic drama she starred in alongside George Clooney, Jason Bateman, and Vera Farmiga.

The 28-year-old actress, singer, and social media star downplays her sex appeal: “I’ve never felt like I’ve exactly traded on my looks.”

She called herself a ultra-late bloomer, not surprisingly putting a humorous spin on it in her Elle interview:

“… it means you never have to wonder if guys are only interested in you because you’ve got boobs.”

Kendrick says that spilled over into her acting career.

“Similarly, I think I’m lucky that I’ve never had a crisis about whether the only reason I’m successful is because I’m crazy hot. It’s not something that crosses my mind.”

Crazy hot or not, Kendrick is enjoying tremendous success right now.

When she was just 12-years-old the Portland, Maine native earned a Tony award nomination for her performance in the Broadway musical High Society. It was Kendrick’s first acting role, and things only went up from there.

After nabbing a supporting role in the movie adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling young adult novel Twilight, Kendrick went on to receive Oscar, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild award nominations for her performance in Up in the Air.

Kendrick put her vocal talent to work in the 2012 musical comedy Pitch Perfect. She recorded “Cups” for the film’s soundtrack and the song spent 44 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

In April Kendrick made her Saturday Night Live debut with well-received spoofs of Disney classics Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.

Fast Company named Kendrick number eight on their list of the “100 Most Creative People in Business 2014” and she boasts over 1.4 million followers on Instagram and more than 2.5 million on Twitter.

    What’s up next for Kendrick?

She says she wants to take a break from filming musicals as soon as she wraps Pitch Perfect 2.

At a February screening for The Last Five Years, a musical costarring Jeremy Jordan, Kendrick said “I never want to sing again, honestly. It’s hard as f-ck.”

She said going directly from The Last Five Years to Into the Woods in which she stars as Cinderella opposite Emily Blunt, Johnny Depp, Chris Pine, and Meryl Streep was just too much.

“I was like, ‘I don’t want to have to think about my voice so much.’ I want to be able to drink beer whenever I want.”

Finding non-musical roles hasn’t proved a problem for Kendrick. She’s set to appear alongside Jennifer Aniston in Cake and Orlando Bloom in Digging for Fire.

After that she’ll move on to Mr. Right with Sam Rockwell (Glory Daze) and The Hollars with John Krasinski (The Office.)

  • ‘Heaven is for Real’ Movie Crushes Johnny Depp at Box Office

The Heaven is for Real movie opened in theaters on April 16th, and on Easter weekend it crushed Johnny Depp’s new film Trandsendence in box office earnings. Heaven is for Real soared, bringing in $21.5 million from 2, 417 theaters. Depp’s film opened to a rather dismal $11.5 million coming from a total of 3, 455 movie theater locations.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent, Heaven is for Real tells the story of little Colton Burpo who says he went to Heaven and came back again during a surgical procedure. Greg Kinnear stars as Colton Burpo’s father in the film. This is the latest in a series of Christian films to earn big at the box office in recent weeks. Noah, starring Russell Crowe, started big. God’s Not Dead, featuring Duck Dynsasty stars Willie and Corie Robertson, did much better than expected in a very limited theater run.

Perhaps part of the film’s initial success stems from the Twitter campaign producers launched which focuses on strong family values.

Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter’s House mega church even recommended the following video about the film, which includes snippets with some of the cast members.

Heaven is for Real made quite a stir when the book was published, with many saying the story was contrived or highly embellished by Colton Burpo’s pastor father Todd Burpo. Producers obviously thought it had enough pull to draw people in to movie theaters, and Easter weekend’s box office numbers proved them right.

Do you have plans to see Heaven is for Real, and if so, did you first read the book? What is drawing you to want to see this new Christian film?

  • ‘Heaven is For Real’ Crushes It at Box Office

Faith-based film Heaven Is for Real crushed it at the Easter weekend box office, earning $21.5 million from 2,417 theaters to destroy big-budget sci-fic epic Transcendence, which earned an unimpressive $11.5 million from 3,455 locations.

Heaven Is for Real, from Sony’s TriStar label, opened Wednesday and earned $28.5 million in its first five days and placed third overall for the weekend.

Christian-based movies seem to be making a huge impact of late and Heaven is for Real is the latest Christian film to exceed expectations.

The movie is based on the real-lfe story of Nebraska pastor Todd Burpo, whose young son Colton said he visited Heaven during an emergency surgery. The film is adapted from the pastor’s book about Colton’s near-death experience, co-written by Lynn Vincent.

The film stars Greg Kinnear and was produced by well-known pastor T. D. Jakes, director Randall Wallace and Hollywood veteran Joe Roth.

Not surprising, the drama did its biggest business in the country’s Bible Belt, but appealed to mainstream audiences as well.

“It’s really a terrific result,” said Sony’s distribution chief Rory Bruer. “And Easter was certainly a date that was in the wheelhouse of the film.”

Currently there are three Bible-themed films in the top 10 chart.

In addition to Heaven is for Real, Noah placed No. 9 with $5 million for a domestic total of $93.2 million. God’s Not Dead came in No. 10 with $4.8 million, adding to its total of $48.2 million.

It came as a big surprise that the $12 million Heaven Is for Real beat Johnny Depp’s Transcendence, which cost $100 million to produce.

Transcendence is the fourth big-budget bomb in a row for Johnny Depp after The Lone Ranger and Dark Shadows.

In terms of Depp’s openings, Transcendence came in lower than The Tourist, which debuted to $16.5 million in 2010.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier enjoyed its third week in the top spot, followed by Rio 2.

Here’s the real life Colton Burpo who claimed to have visited Heaven.

  • Johnny Depp and Amanda Heard: It’s Official!

Johnny Depp and Amanda Heard: It’s Official!

It looks like Johnny Depp’s excessive amount of jewelry hasn’t put any kind of damper on his love life.

He has been happily in love with his new fiancé Amber Heard. The Pirates actor recently made his engagement to the gorgeous actress public while promoting his latest film Transcendence.

The 50-year-old actor was hanging out in Beijing earlier in the week for promotional appearances when he officially confirmed the anticipated news. The story broke after a journalist noticed some bling on his ring finger.

“Can I take that as confirmation of your engagement?” the journalist asked.

“You can take that anyway you like, absolutely,” Depp replied. “The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle.”

Depp wasn’t shy about how he felt about the stunning Heard either.

“She’s a wonderful girl,” Depp said of his new love. “She’s sharp as a tack. A southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me.”

The two celebrated their blissful relationship with a blowout of an engagement party earlier this month at the Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles.

Steven Tyler, Mandy Moore and Marilyn Manson were some of the famous guests in attendance at the party.

Depp and the 27-year-old first met on the set of the 2011 film The Rum Diary and began dating in 2012. The duo originally kept their romance extremely private until the past year.

  • Amber Heard and Johnny Depp Engaged, Actor Confirms at ‘Transcendence’ Press Event

Johnny Depp essentially confirmed that he is engaged to Amber Heard while doing press for his new film Transcendence in Beijing on Monday.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor wore a band with a single diamond on his finger during an interview, and the journalist asked if the ring was a confirmation of his engagement.

“You can take that anyway you like, absolutely,” Depp said.

“The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle,” he said.

His comments come months after reports of his engagement to Heard surfaced in January.

Depp, 50, and Heard, 27, met on set while filming The Rum Diary in 2011.

The two celebrated the upcoming wedding with an engagement party at the Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles in March. Celebrity guests included Steven Tyler, Marilyn Manson, Mandy Moore, Ryan Adams, and Andy Garcia.

In 2012, Depp split from his former partner of 14 years, 41-year-old French model Vanessa Paradis, with whom he shares two children.

Heard can be seen on the big screen starring alongside Kevin Costner in 3 Days to Kill, which hit theaters in February.

In Transcendence, Depp plays a terminally ill scientist who downloads his mind into a computer, which gives him new found powers. Depp co-stars alongside Rebecca Hall and Morgan Freeman in the science fiction film, which is scheduled for theatrical release on April 18 in China and the United States.

China will be the only international country Depp will be visiting to promote the film, as it is considered the second biggest box office after the U.S. and Canada. The movie will be shown in 3D, which is a format that is popular choice among the audiences in China.

  • Amber Heard Put A (Chick’s) Ring On It

Amber Heard Put A (Chick’s) Ring On It

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have made headlines for months now after the blonde bombshell was spotted wearing a dazzling diamond ring on that finger, but neither of them have confirmed their upcoming nuptials. Depp, however, basically came out and admitted it without saying the words recently when he was seen wearing a giant sparkler on his own finger.

When asked whether the ring was confirmation of an engagement, Depp said, “You can take that anyway you like, absolutely. The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle.”

There have been no plans given away for the big day, although Depp says that whatever happens, he won’t be involved in coming up with them.

“I think that I would be better at making women’s shoes than I would be at wedding planning. I can’t plan anything. I’m really bad at that stuff,” he said.

The couple met on the set of “Rum Diary” and were rumored to be an item back then, although he and longtime partner Vanessa Paradis only recently confirmed their split.

This will be the first marriage for both, although Depp has been engaged before.

  • Amber Heard’s Engagement Ring Gets Worn By Johnny Depp At ‘Transcendence’ Press Conference

Johnny Depp indirectly confirmed his engagement to model and actress Amber Heard at a press conference at the Grand Hyatt in Beijing, China for his upcoming movie Transcendence.

Rumors of their engagement have been floating for a while, and the actor was finally asked about it. “The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle,” he replied. According to sources, Depp is wearing the diamond ring, since it is too big for Heard’s finger. Depp showed off the large ring and his tattoos during the press conference.

Depp, 50, separated from French model and actress Vanessa Paradis in 2012. They were together for 14 years and have two children together – Lily-Rose and Jack.

Depp met Heard, 27, while filming the movie The Rum Diary, wherein Heard plays his character’s love interest. They began dating in 2012, and there were already rumors of their engagement by December 2013.

In another comment, Depp said, “I think that I would be better at making women’s shoes than I would be at wedding planning, I can’t plan anything. I’m really bad at that stuff,” referring to his engagement to Heard.

In the science fiction drama film Transcendence, Depp plays a scientist who is terminally ill and downloads his consciousness into a computer. The movie also stars Morgan Freeman and Rebecca Hall. Depp said that most of the technology in the film already exists and that the kind of artificial intelligence tackled in the film may not be too far away.

Transcendence hits theaters on April 18 in China and the U.S. China will be the only international country Depp will be visiting to promote the film, as it is considered the second biggest box office after the U.S./Canada. The movie will be shown in 3D, which is a format that is popular choice among the audiences in China.

  • Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise Reportedly In Hotel Battle

Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, and Hugh Jackman will all be in London later this year to shoot three different movies, but right now the focus isn’t on the films; it’s on who will win in the battle for a hotel suite.

The men all reportedly love the same suite in an unnamed hotel in the city, but only one of them will win the honor of staying there during filming.

“None of these guys are used to being told they can’t have something so it’s a bit of a standoff at the moment,” a source told The Sun. “Hotel staff are finding it a bit awkward because they have to keep telling them it’s still a problem. They’re all loaded, so it’s not a case of who can throw the most money around.”

Depp doesn’t look too concerned about much these days, as he seems pretty happy with fiancee Amber Heard. The couple were spotted leaving a New York City hotel recently hand-in-hand, not long after celebrating their engagement.

Depp can be seen next in the sci-fi thriller “Transcendence”, which opens on April 17 and also stars Kate Mara and Morgan Freeman.

  • Dakota Johnson: From ‘Fifty Shades’ to Whitey Bulger?

Dakota Johnson is in talks to star opposite Johnny Depp in an upcoming film about Whitey Bulger. Black Mass will reportedly tell the story of the Boston mobster and FBI informant. If the talks work out for all involved, Johnson will start filming Black Mass once filming for Fifty Shades of Grey wraps.

Not all of the roles have been cast yet for Black Mass. Depp will reportedly play Bulger. Dakota Johnson will probably play the role of Lindsey, the mother of Bulger’s son Douglas. Joel Edgarton seems to be a definite in the role of FBI agent John Connelly. Connelly was Whitey Bulger’s childhood friend who wound up tipping Bulger off as the Feds neared closing in on him. Connelly served time in prison for his role in the case.

Whitey Bulger was on the lam for 19 years before being tracked down in California in 2011. He is now serving time in a Federal prison for several charges.

Guy Pearce is set to play the role of Whitey Bulger’s brother Bill, who was the president of the Massachusetts Senate and a big Boston power broker.

Since the Whitey Bulger story is true, it will be very interesting to see how close to the truth the film remains. Many people in the Boston area claim he was responsible for the deaths of their loved ones, although proof was never determined. There could be some controversy if the film doesn’t mirror at least a portion of the truth.

Not much is known about Lindsey, the mother of Whitey Bulger’s son–at least not publicly. It will be interesting to see how Dakota Johnson portrays her in the film, if she does in fact take the role.

It’s not surprising that a new film is being made about the Whitey Bulger case. There are no doubt lots of stories within his sordid tale that have yet to be shared, and that typically translates into intrigue once a film hits the big screen.

  • Theo James is Great Kisser According to Divergent Co-Star Shailene Woodley

Theo James is a great kisser, according to Shailene Woodley who stars alongside him in the much-anticipated movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s best-selling young adult novel Divergent.

“He’s an incredibly masculine man with a beautiful soulful heart – and he was a great kisser,” Woodley said in a recent interview.

In the movie, which hits theaters this weekend, James plays Four, the Dauntless instructor who connects and eventually falls in love with Woodley’s Tris.

According to Divergent director Neil Burger, there was an immediate connection between James and Woodley:

“With the other guys we’d been auditioning, Shai was the one that was pushing them back. When Theo was opposite her, she knew that he was the Four.”

Of the role, James has said “I had an immediate affinity with the character. I think we share certain qualities. You tend to try and use everything you share with a character in everything you do. I love this person who you don’t know what he’s thinking. He’s the type of person when he walks into a room, doesn’t need to be the loudest voice, but you still feel his presence. He’s not someone who speaks too much, but you know he’s thinking all the time. He’s a very perceptive person. On top of that, there’s kind of a dangerous stillness I felt he had when reading the book and the script.”

A native of Oxfordshire, England, 29-year-old James earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Nottingham and studied acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In his final year at Bristol, he was tapped for a minor role in Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

“It might have worked for others, but I was not mature enough to do it,” James has said of his decision to wait until his 20s to start acting. “I needed to be a bit more grounded and to have more to draw from. It was the right decision for me.”

James made a brief but well-remembered appearance on Downton Abbey as Michelle Dockery’s ill-fated lover Kemal Pamuk. From there, he went on to play the role of Jed Harper in the British supernatural television series Bedlam and starred opposite Kate Beckinsale in Underworld: Awakening.

Upcoming film projects include London Fields with Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, and Jaimie Alexander and Franny with Dakota Fanning and Richard Gere.

James admitted he’s concerned about being typecast after starring in what is expected to be a blockbuster this weekend: “Inevitably what will happen is that opportunities will open and you get choices presented to you that you definitely need to be strong enough to say no to. Then the stuff that you really want to go for, you’ll still have to hustle for and still have to fight for, so I think that will be my challenge: to play everything in opposition to that.”

  • Helena Bonham Carter Is Set To Join “Alice In Wonderland” Sequel

Well, it is no surprise that if there was going to be a sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, it would involve Helena Bonham Carter. She will return to reprise her role as the Red Queen.

The big difference in the sequel, Through The Looking Glass, will be that Tim Burton is no longer involved. However, both Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp, his two most frequent collaborators, will be returning.

Through The Looking Glass is the sequel to the book that was written by Lewis Carroll, and follows the events of the 2010 film, which is returning its important cast members. In addition to Depp and Carter, Mia Wasikowska will also be returning to play the role of Alice.

Helena Bonham Carter is getting set to play the evil Red Queen once again, as final negotiations are being conducted for the upcoming Disney film, according to Variety.

In the case of the sequel, with Tim Burton out of the picture, James Bobin, who recently made Muppets: Most Wanted, will be directing the film. Joe Roth will return as the producer. Linda Woolverton, who also scripted Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, is currently working on the script.

The sequel has big shoes to fill after the success of the first film. In 2010, Alice In Wonderland grossed more than a billion dollars at the worldwide box office, including $334 million at the domestic box office.

In addition to Through The Looking Glass, Helena Bonham Carter has a few other projects coming up in the next couple of years. She is set to play the Fairy Godmother in another Disney adaptation of Cinderella, and Suffragette, a film with Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep.

Prior to the film’s release plot details are being kept secret. However, fans can expect to see Helena Bonham Carter tormenting the young Alice again on May 27, 2016. This means that production could start as early as the end of this year.

Despite the film keeping the plot details secret, if it is to stick closely with the events of the book, the film should follow Alice as she enters a mysterious parallel universe after stepping through the mirror hanging above her fireplace.

  • Whitey Bulger Film Gets New Life With Warner Bros.

Whitey Bulger has been a subject of fascination for decades now; the infamous Boston crime boss was only captured fairly recently after years on the lam and charged with racketeering and murder, and his story loosely inspired the Scorsese film “The Departed”. Now, a new film about his relationship with FBI informant John Connolly starring Johnny Depp is back in the works again after a brief delay.

Depp will play Bulger in “Black Mass”, which is now slated for a fall/2015 release after Warner Bros. agreed to co-finance it. Originally to be directed by Barry Levinson, the film failed to get the financing it needed last year and the deal fell through. However, Scott Cooper is now attached to the project and Depp is back on, as well, with Joel Edgerton tapped to play Connolly.

Connolly was sentenced to 40 years in prison for allegedly tipping Bulger off that he was about to be arrested in the early ’90s and allowing him to run free. He wasn’t seen or heard from until a chance run-in with a neighbor in San Francisco led to a call to the authorities. He was arrested in 2011 and was charged last year with 32 counts of racketeering, murder, and money laundering.

“The guy is a sociopathic killer,” Tom Foley, an organized crime investigator who spent most of his career with the Massachusetts State Police trying to bust Bulger, told CNN. “He loved that type of life. He’s one of the hardest and cruelest individuals that operated in the Boston area. He’s a bad, bad, bad guy.”
