  • Nikki Bella Praised By John Cena After Surgery: “That Smile Makes Me Melt”

    Nikki Bella came through a rather scary surgery on her neck with success recently, and her boyfriend, fellow wrestler John Cena, shared a photo of Bella smiling from a hospital bed. Cena praised her for being so strong and asked fans for prayers for her continued recovery.

    “What a strong woman! That smile makes me melt. Asking u to keep @BellaTwins in your thoughts 2day #StayFearless,” Cena wrote on Twitter.

    The couple are in for a long recovery time, as Bella won’t be able to travel or do much of anything over the next three months. As for getting back in the ring, it will be at least six months before Nikki is able to even think about it. However, the surgery was to repair a herniated disk in her neck, an extremely painful injury that could have ended her career or even paralyzed her.

    “I have basically a broken neck, a pretty bad herniated disk. What makes mine a little bit difficult than most people is that I have some disk behind my vertebrae so with a lot of prayers we’re gonna pray that the doctors can get the piece behind my vertebrae with just a bone fusion,” Nikki told E! News last month.

    Nikki said last month that the cameras would be around to capture her recovery for Total Divas, and fans will be able to see some of what she went through pre-surgery.

    “The cameras never stop filming, so you’ll get to see this whole process step by step. Unfortunately, they’re not allowed to go inside doctors’ offices with me, but they’ve been there on the car rides, when I walk in, when I walk out. I even filmed a meeting with one of the doctors. They’re going to be there for the surgery and they’re going to be there for my whole rehab,” Bella said.

  • Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa Reconcile With Help Of Wrestler John Cena

    The estranged couple arrived together with their 2-year-old son Sebastian to celebrate Easter at Tamar Braxton’s party in Calabasas.

    Noticeably conspicuous with her blue hair, Amber and Wiz were seen being very affectionate with each other. People at the party described the two as being very playful with each other, hugging and even separating from the crowd to spend time together.

    The feuding exes recently came to terms in their custody battle over their son. However, sources say the duo were not just putting on a front for their son’s sake during the Easter outing but are honestly working on their relationship.

    The two were bitterly exchanging jabs on social media since Amber filed for divorce last September. But in an unexpected move, she exposed her true feelings for Wiz on Instagram on April 2.

    The hip-hop model posted a photo of the two during happier times in 2012 with the caption “We went wrong somewhere and even if we never ever get back together (Even tho I pray, dream and hope we do) he will forever be the love of my life.”

    She also revealed that “I’m sick of putting on a front like I’m happy without him. I’m not.”

    Surprisingly, it was wrestler John Cena who put Amber and Wiz on the road to reconciliation.

    After performing his new song “Go Hard or Go Home” on Monday Night Raw on March 9, Wiz discussed the song –which is about Amber – with Cena. And the more he talked to the 37-year-old wrestler about the song, the more it made him think about his family.

    He called Amber afterwards and asked her to watch the performance. According to a source close to Wiz, “The gesture of having her listen to the song was the only thing he has done to get them to talk more and actually start the reconciliation process.”

  • Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa Spend Easter Together With Son Sebastian

    Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa seem to be yet another step closer to a reconciliation. The two spent Easter together with their son Sebastian. Just last week Wiz Khalifa convinced Amber Rose to listen to the lyrics of his new song from the Furious 7 soundtrack. She was so moved by those lyrics that she contacted the rapper and said she wanted to work hand in hand with him to raise their two-year-old.

    “How could we not talk about family when family’s all that we got? / Everything I went through you were standing there by my side / And now you gonna be with me for the last ride,” the lyrics from Wiz Khalifa’s song read.

    “We went wrong somewhere and even if we never ever get back together (Even tho I pray, dream and hope we do) he will forever be the love of my life,” Amber Rose said recently of Wiz Khalifa.

    On Easter Sunday, Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa, and Sebastian arrived at Tamar Braxton’s home for an Easter party. TMZ reports that Amber and Wiz were “affectionate” with one another.

    Hollywood Life reports that WWE star John Cena has played a big role in Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose getting back together.

    “Wiz is a real good friend of John’s. He talked to him and a few other guys on a serious level about the song and how it made him think about his family and Amber,” a source tells the publication. “He wanted her to see the performance and listen to it so they could be on a level where no hard feelings were being shared. The gesture of having her listen to the song was the only thing he has done to get them to talk more and actually start the reconciliation process. It was his conversation with John and the others that was the start of everything.”

    It honestly seems that between Wiz Khalifa’s new song and John Cena’s intervention–plus a dose of family time on Easter Sunday–that things might be turning around for Amber Rose and her ex.   • Brock Lesnar Taking Heat For Being A Part-Timer

    Everyone knows that all good things must come to an end.

    Back in April of 2014, Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30. The victory was beyond significant because it was The Undertaker’s first loss at Wrestlemania in 21 years.

    The defeat rocked the WWE and shocked wrestling fans everywhere, who were more than expecting The Undertaker to extend his wrestling streak.

    Since that time, Lesnar has taken a lot of heat. Fans are criticizing Lesnar’s management and creative team, calling him just a part-time WWE star. They think that since he broke The Undertaker’s coveted streak that he should devote more time in the ring.

    Dave Batista, who is currently out promoting his new film Guardians of the Galaxy where he plays an outer-space warrior, has been especially vocal regarding The Undertaker’s streak being broken. He recently voiced his displeasure in an interview with the Huffington Post:

    It sucked! Honestly, I thought it sucked. I haven’t really talked much about it but I think it was a bad decision, a horrible decision. I don’t have any say in the matter but to me, watching as a fan, it made me sick. Brock Lesnar beating him didn’t seem to work and it really wasn’t good that Brock left the day after. I just don’t see how that made sense at all. I don’t think anyone wanted to see the streak broken and it just didn’t make sense to me.

    According to the Inquisitr, Batista is not alone in his thinking. Several full-time wrestlers are not happy with Lesnar’s part-time status. He has wrestled in only seven Pay-Per-View events since 2012. His record during that stretch is 5 – 2. His two losses were to John Cena and Triple H.

    Now, Lesnar will be wrestling for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2014 on August 17 against John Cena. If Lesnar defeats Cena (which many think will happen) and straps on the belt expect the anti-Lesnar criticism to go through the roof.

  • Ric Flair: What Is His Future Role With The WWE?

    Ric Flair made another return to the ring. The 65-year-old, semi-retired WWE All-Star showed up on Monday Night Raw. What his role is moving forward remains to be seen, and why exactly he was at the event is still a bit of a mystery.

    Geno Mrosko, a writer for Cageside Seats argues that, “Creatively, he (Flair) had no reason to be there.”

    At first, many speculators thought that Flair would pair up with The Miz on Monday night as some kind of mentor moving forward. However, that didn’t happen.

    Flair entered the ring with a suit and tie and proceeded to do some awkward flirting with Renee Young. The Nature Boy also got in a few classic quips that drew some laughs from fired up fans that never seem to tire of his banter. When talking about being in Richmond, Virginia, Flair said, “Good Lord have I had some fun in this city, just ask your mother’s fathers.”

    Flair also used his ring time to offer up a prediction for the big main event this weekend, the Fatal 4 Way at Battleground. Much to the chagrin of the crowd, who were hoping that the Nature Boy would side with Roman Reigns, Flair instead decided to back John Cena.

    Mrosko didn’t see the point of Flair’s presence on Monday night, “From the WWE perspective, Flair still pops a rating when he returns, even when it’s a surprise. This time they promoted it, possibly to combat at the Home Run Derby on ESPN that undoubtedly stole some viewers, and possibly as the final push to entice fans to subscribe to the WWE Network.”

    No doubt that The Nature Boy can still fire up a crowd, and he has some sweet dance moves. Even still, Flair remains a polarizing figure in professional wrestling, some fans are tired of his stale routine, while some fans can’t seem to get enough.

    Let the speculation run amok!

    Perhaps the only thing that professional wrestling fans like more than watching matches is discussing rumors and talking smack.

    For the past few days, social media and wrestling websites have been abuzz over the speculation that Triple H will announce that his Plan B after Battleground will be none other than Brock Lesnar and not Seth Rollins.

    Rumors initially began to circulate after Lesnar defeated The Undertaker. Yes, fans were crushed that the streak came to an end, however we can’t deny Lesnar’s massive presence in the ring.

    There are plenty of reasons why making Lesnar Plan B is a good idea. The Inquisitr provides six very compelling arguments. But, let’s start at the very basics. What makes the WWE so great is the tension that the characters create. Bringing in Lesnar as Plan B will ultimately create incredible friction.

    Additionally, if Lesnar is Plan B, it could possibly bring Cesaro back into the fold. A Cesaro versus Lesnar match sounds like a tasty battle.

    But what about putting John Cena in a place where he totally shines…as the underdog. “Cena always works best when the cards are stacked against him. That’s when he’s at his most likable. Plus, he has a tense history with Lesnar in WWE programming, and putting him up against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion would be one heck of a mountain for the original doctor of thuganomics.”

  • Brock Lesnar Rumored As “Plan B”

    Brock Lesnar was the name on everyone’s lips after he took on The Undertaker and defeated him earlier this year, breaking a long streak of wins and prompting controversy after it was rumored that the veteran wrestler suffered a real concussion during the match. Since then, his name has been batted around as a “plan B” should John Cena come out the victor at WWE Battleground 2014, rather than Seth Rollins.

    According to Sportskeeda, it’s a major rumor floating around that the Authority has a backup plan for everything:

    “John Cena winning the title wasn’t clearly what the Authority had in their mind. And to make matters right, they put Cena in a fatal four way match at Battleground which Hunter termed as plan A. He also revealed that he had a plan B in case Cena came out of Battleground as champion and since Seth Rollins is so close to the Authority, he was considered as the plan B of the Authority now that he has a contract in his hands. However, the latest rumors suggest that Hunter’s backup plan is none other than Brock Lesnar who is scheduled to face Cena at SummerSlam. Lesnar aligning with the Authority is supposed to give him more heat than he already has and Rollins cashing in the contract might be put on hold ’til Lesnar returns back to hibernation.”

    Lesnar is expected to appear at SummerSlam and Night of Champions, and there is also talk of him showing up at Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 31, but those dates have not been confirmed.

  • John Cena: Will He Choose Movies Or Wrestling?

    A lot of professional wrestlers aspire to become actors, and when they finally make their way into the film industry, they often leave wrestling behind. John Cena has appeared in several movies but he always returns to the ring and seems happy to be wrestling in between films.

    Cena is currently working on two films which will be released sometime next year and its seems like he is putting wrestling on the backburner for a while.

    Vince McMahon is planning some big changes for the WWE and those changes may include some pay cuts for many wrestlers, including some of the big name stars. McMahon wants the WWE Network to be successful, but its debut was not as popular as expected. In order to make the network everything he wants it to be, McMahon is planning to make some changes and budget cuts.

    The WWE has already had to make some changes to its schedule in order to accommodate John Cena while filming. Cena also does a lot of charity work and appearances and even when he isn’t working on two films at a time, it can be hard for him to find the time for wrestling anymore.

    The WWE is about to go on a tour through Australia, and Cena will not be a part of it due to other commitments. WWE fans are expecting Cena to take on Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2014 and wondering how his absences will play into the storyline.

    While it seems like Cena is going to stay focused on wrestling while juggling his charity work, social life and acting career on the side, there may come a day when he has to choose between them. If McMahon can’t keep him interested in the WWE, it’s likely that he could follow so many other wrestling stars and choose the film industry over the ring.

  • John Cena’s Knee Injury Just Part Of The Story

    For many wrestling fans, the WWE is as real as it gets. Most people however, know that it isn’t real and although professional wrestlers are amazing athletes that are extremely talented, wrestling is as much a show as it is a sport. Just like a soap opera or any other television show, wrestling matches and shows have a plot.

    John Cena appeared to be injured after a brawl on Monday Night RAW, but it turns out he is just fine and the injury is just part of the storyline. Cena was involved in a fight with the Wyatt family and Bray Wyatt pulled off a move that made it look as though he had accidentally landed on Cena’s leg the wrong way and caused the injury.

    Cena milked the injury for all it was worth and was even taken out of the ring on a stretcher. Wrestling fans and especially John Cena fans were worried that the injury was real and that one of the most beloved wrestler in the WWE was really hurt and would be out of the ring for a while.

    Not long after the match ended, the truth about the injury came out and it was confirmed that it was all part of the plot and storyline leading up to WrestleMania 30. John Cena will be wrestling Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 30 and with Cena sustaining an injury caused by Bray, the match will be even better and fans will be even more eager to watch it.

    Over the next few weeks, as WrestleMania 30 approaches, it will be likely that Cena will still claim he is injured and blame Bray Wyatt for it. In true WWE fashion, Cena will wrestle at WrestleMania in spite of his injury and likely beat Bray. If he doesn’t win, he will blame his loss on his knee injury and accuse Bray of injuring him on purpose.

  • “Rowdy” Roddy Piper Wants Hulk at WrestleMania 30

    “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, is a former WWE professional, peaking in his wrestling career in the 1980s, alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T, and making a name for himself in the wrestling world with his signature “Sleeper Hold.”

    Piper, 59, was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and is a wrestler famed for his temper; Roddy is nicknamed “Hot Rod,” as well as the more well-known moniker of “Rowdy Roddy,” both of which took off during his wrestling career.

    Now, Roddy Piper has rejoined WWE headlines of late, fueling a tag-team rumor that he wants to participate in one at this year’s WrestleMania 30.

    Piper apparently took to Twitter to instigate a frenzy for a showdown between two teams at the event: Piper wants to team with CM Punk for a face-off with Hulk Hogan and John Cena at the 30th annual WrestleMania this spring.

    According to sources, there has been an “internal discussion” regarding the possibility of such a match-up between the four wrestlers, but it has been stated that 60-year-old Hogan “probably couldn’t pass a physical exam” to participate in such an event.

    This would mark the second time Hogan and Piper were pitted against one another at WrestleMania; the two fought in a tag-team match (Piper and Paul Orndorff, and Hulk Hogan and Mr. T) at the first-ever WrestleMania in 1985.

    Piper may not have ever reached quite the status of Hulk Hogan or Mr. T, but he did experience a fair amount of success in his pro wrestling tenure, winning the titles of Intercontinental Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and the WCW United States Champion at various points in his career. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper also reached infamy in the wrestling world when he was awarded an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

    WrestleMania XXX (30) will take place at the New Orleans, Louisiana Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 6, 2014. It will be available on pay-per-view.

  • John Cena Not Up For Marriage With Nikki Bella, ‘Total Divas’ Recap

    Last night, was definitely a ‘John Cena’ night. From the wrestling ring to the Reality TV world, television and entertainment were ‘all things John Cena’.

    However, most of the highlighted moments were full of drama, and a lot of it actually unfolded on the season finale of  Total Divas.

    E! News offered the run-down on the full episode, as things got quite intense when Nikki Bella sat down with Cena to discuss the future of their relationship.

    The WWE Diva shared her desire for marriage and children, as she aspires to have it all with the 14x WWE Champion. However, the desire for relationship stability may have been heightened due to the progression of Brie and Eva Marie’s love lives, as they both ultimately ended up announcing that wedding bells in their near futures. Now, if you’re wondering how that happened, let’s start from the beginning.

    The finale opened with the WWE Divas taking a break from their demanding schedules as they all separated to enjoy life outside of work. Nikki headed back home to Tampa where she enjoyed a pool party with her girlfriends that Cena flew in. At the pool party, their weekend excursion continues with dinner, but things get a bit uncomfortable when commitment questions start to stir.

    When her friends asked if marriage and children were in their future, Cena made his perspective quite clear. He told Nikki it wasn’t happening, and she abruptly ended the conversation. Cena went on to state his reasoning for the decision, but she wanted to hear nothing of it. So, it’s safe to say there’s definitely a slight wedge of indifference there, but hopefully they can come to amicable terms where their relationship is concerned.

    Then, things shift to Eva Marie and her fiance’ Jonathan. The two set out toward Marie’s parents home in Northern California to announce their engagement. However, things didn’t actually go as planned, due to her parents disapproval.

    But, the ‘wow factor’ came when it was revealed that her parents had never met him, and had no idea they were even dating, let alone engaged. So, they’re level of shock can actually be justified. With that small piece of information, it’s easy to see how the whole ‘meet and greet’ went sour. However, it didn’t deter their decision to proceed with their wedding plans.

    Then, there’s Nikki’s twin sister, Brie Bella. Things actually shifted in a positive direction for her relationship with boyfriend, Daniel Bryan. Their weekend was quite romantic and Bryan also popped the question. But, Mr. Romantic didn’t stop things there. When they returned to the cabin, and surprises her with an engagement dinner with her entire family present. Although Nikki assisted Bryan with his engagement plans for her sister, she still felt some kind of way about her own situation with Cena. So, things picked up once again when they returned to Tampa.

    Nikki decided to express her disdain about his perspective on marriage. But, nevertheless, Cena still felt otherwise about the whole situation, as he still expressed no interest in advanced to the next level in the relationship. “I can’t give you that,” said Cena. The moment grew even more tense, and Nikki broke the uncomfortable silence. “I make all of the sacrifices, and you make none,” said Nikki. However, Cena stands firm in his decision. “I won’t get married again, and I won’t have kids,” he explained.

    So, how did John Cena and Nikki Bella resolve the situation? Fans will just have to wait until March 2014 when Total Divas returns!

    It’s a big season finale for the divas tonight-especially for the Bella twins. Brian proposes to Brie Bella in a very romantic setting…But will she say yes?

    While Brie might be saying yes to Brian’s proposal, Nikki Bella decides to have a serious discussion with boyfriend John Cena. What is the other Bella sister up to? Well, she wants to know if Cena is interested in starting a family. Will this be a fairy tale ending for both sisters or will there only be one happy Bella twin?

  • John Cena Wins WWE Title at Wrestlemania 29

    John Cena has become the WWE Champion yet again. He won the title during this weekend’s Wrestlemania 29, where the wrestler faced off against The Rock. This is the 11th time Cena has held the WWE Championship belt.

    The main event at this year’s Wrestlemania was set when Cena won the 2013 Royal Rumble back in January, earning a shot at the title. The Rock also won the WWE Championship from CM Punk at the same event. Since then, the Rock/Cena rematch was heavily promoted by the WWE.

    The Rock and Cena also met during the main event of last year’s Wrestlemania. That match was billed as a “Once in a Lifetime” match, and saw The Rock beat Cena in a surprise victory.

    In other Wrestlemania news, WWE wrestler Jack Swagger had his Wrestlemania match against Alberto Del Rio, despite being arrested in February on DUI, speeding, and possession of marijuana charges in Gulfport, Mississippi. Del rio defeated Swagger to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt.

  • WWE ’13 Roster Revealed in New Trailer

    THQ today announced the official lineup of WWE ’13. The roster reflects the “Live the Revolution” theme that the WWE has chosen for the upcoming title. As the game will focus on what it calls the “Attitude Era,” classic WWE stars such as Big Show, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, and Stone Cold Steve Austin can be found in the game wearing outfits from the “Attitude Era.” Newer WWE stars also make an appearance, and fans will have fun pitting John Cena against the likes of Mankind. Many members of the roster can also be found in the late-90’s wrestling game WWF Attitude.

    It was already known that Mike Tyson will be a playable character for fans who pre-order WWE ’13 for any console. Those who pre-order the WWE ’13 “Austin 3:16” Collector’s Edition will receive exclusive Stone Cold Steve Austin memorabilia, including an embossed Stone Cold Steve Austin skull, a red skull t-shirt, an in-game ATV-style ring entrance, and an art card autographed by Stone Cold Steve Austin.

  • Brock Lesner’s Return To WWE Highlighted By Real Punch

    Last week, in the aftermath of the John Cena vs. The Rock at Wrestlemania, Brock Lesner made his triumphant return to the WWE after being gone for 5 years to pursue a career in the UFC. He came out last week with 5 minutes left in Monday Night Raw on USA and gave an F5 to Cena after feigning a friendly hand shake.

    This week Brock Lesner opened the show, and while he was giving a promo, he was interrupted by Cena. Cena slapped Lesner in the mouth then all hell broke lose. Cena was tackled and was inadvertently hit in the mouth causing his lip to bust wide open. Check it out:

    Lesner left the WWE in 2004, pursuing a career in the NFL. He played during the preseason for the Minnesota Vikings, but ended up being a late cut.

    Brock signed a 1-year contract with WWE over the weekend – and the backstage buzz is that Lesnar received one of the most lucrative contracts in company history. After seeing what a juggernaut Lesnar was in terms of PPV sales for the UFC, WWE is rumored to have guaranteed Lesnar $5 million to work a limited schedule. Based on what we’re hearing, Lesnar is contracted to appear twice a month for the next 12 months.

    WWE has pushed Twitter on it’s fans in the past several years so hard, that things have finally paid off. Twitter has been a huge source of connecting with the “WWE Universe” with characters like John Cena, and Zach Ryder able to reach out their fans, and making the weekly story lines between the WWE Superstars more believable when they have beefs on Twitter. This years contest in Miami, Florida features matchups like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson vs. John Cena, C.M. Punk vs. Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship, Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryant for the World Heavyweight Championship and The Undertaker vs. Triple H in a Hell In A Cell match.

    WRESTLEMANIA INTERACTIVE PRESS CONFERENCE

    To kick off WrestleMania Week, the WrestleMania press conference at the Eden Rock Hotel will live stream on YouTube, Facebook and WWE.com on Wednesday, March 28, at 2:30 p.m. ET. The press conference will take live fan questions via Twitter, allowing online participants to get the scoop from the WWE Superstars in attendance.

    PEREZHILTON.COM RED CARPET COVERAGE

    WWE Divas will bring fans along for all the WrestleMania festivities as they happen, providing exclusive coverage for PerezHilton.com, including tweets and photos from the WrestleMania VIP Party on Thursday, March 29 and the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, March 31.

    MIKE TYSON: WWE SOCIAL MEDIA AMBASSADOR

    This year’s celebrity WWE Hall of Fame honoree, Mike Tyson (@MikeTyson), will be tweeting live from key events, including the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, WrestleMania Axxess and WrestleMania XXVIII. Exclusive videos, photos and articles of Tyson participating in WrestleMania events will be uploaded to YouTube and WWE.com.

    TWITTER FACE-OFF: THE ROCK VS. JOHN CENA

    WWE will also involve fans, celebrities and WWE Legends in a Twitter hashtag battle over who will win the WrestleMania main event featuring The Rock vs. John Cena, utilizing the respective hashtags: #TeamBringIt vs. #Cenation. WWE Superstars will also be tweeting throughout WrestleMania, letting fans in on all the action backstage.

    On Friday, March 30, WWE will post exclusive WrestleMania videos on YouTube’s home page. The series will feature WWE Superstars The Rock, John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker, CM Punk and Chris Jericho. WWE Superstar Santino Marella will also film his popular YouTube show, Santino’s Foreign Exchange, at WrestleMania Axxess.

    The WWE is also running a contest to win one of 100 pairs of tickets and an all expense paid vacation to next years Wrestlemania at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, April 7, 2013 by texting from their phones or entering online at WWE.com during WrestleMania.
