  • Kathy Griffin Joins Pitbull, Whoopi Goldberg, and More in Emilio Estefan’s Music Video, ‘We’re All Mexican’

Kathy Griffin joins an impressive celebrity list including Whoopi Goldberg, Pitbull, Eva Longoria, and more in a new music video produced by Emilio Estefan. Called “We’re All Mexican,” the video is part of Hispanic Heritage Week and celebrates the accomplishments of Latinos.

“As immigrants, we have a love and appreciation for this country and for the freedom that it represents,” Estefan recently explained to Billboard magazine. “We need to lift up our pride and show the world all the great things we’re doing. I wrote and produced this song to communicate a message of uniting all immigrants, not dividing them.”

While it’s obvious that Kathy Griffin isn’t Latino, she is in mixed company in the music video. People from all backgrounds are joining together to celebrate the Latino community.

A description of Emilio Estefan’s music video says, “The title of the song,’We’re all Mexican’ is intended as a metaphor symbolizing that we can all become the victims of racism and bigotry at any moment as Mexicans are experiencing in recent times. Mexicans are being vilified in the United States by some of the media and political leaders and in some of the public’s sentiment because they comprise 67% of the Latino population and because their native country shares a direct border with the United States and are the majority of the ‘Latino’ crossing that particular border.

But around the world, different immigrant groups are harassed and made to be scapegoats for the ills of their respective countries of residence. The song,’We’re All Mexicans,’ celebrates the positive contributions of immigrants in the United States as a balance to the negativity being expressed publicly.”

In addition to Kathy Griffin, other celebrities in “We’re All Mexican” include Wyclef Jean, Chuy from The Chelsea Lately Show, and even Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo take part in the music video.

Kathy Griffin served as host of Fashion Police for a couple of months following the death of Joan Rivers. She quit when the inner workings of the show revealed several issues.

Kathy Griffin is a woman of many talents–but did you ever expect to see her in a music video?

What do you suppose Donald Trump thinks of this new music video? Would he agree that “We’re All Mexican?”

  • Kathy Griffin ‘Sh*t All Over My Mother’s Legacy,’ Melissa Rivers Says

Kathy Griffin, ‘shit all over my mother’s legacy,’ Melissa Rivers said during a recent interview with Hoda Kotb at the 92nd Street Y.

Page Six reports that Melissa Rivers had maintained her dignity with regard to Kathy Griffin leaving Fashion Police–even after Griffin made a rather pompous-sounding statement about her departure.

“I do not want to use my comedy to contribute to a culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance towards difference,” Kathy Griffin said in a statement via social media back in March.

“My biggest complaint was the feeling that she kind of s - - t all over my mother’s legacy in her statement on leaving. And I know that was not an intentional reading of it, but that’s how I felt . . . by calling the comedy and the style of it old-fashioned. It was like, I understand what you were doing, you’re trying to save yourself, but don’t crap all over my mother to do it,” Melissa Rivers said.

Rivers says that despite Kathy Griffin leaving–as well as the fighting between Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic over Rancic’s inappropriate comment about Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks, that Fashion Police will be back. It was her mother Joan Rivers’ pet project. Rivers died back in September at the age of 81.

“We were a family, cast and crew . . . and we went back too soon. And just like a family, when the matriarch dies, the sisters started fighting; and someone tried to marry in — not a great match, live and learn. ‘Fashion Police’ was a little jewel and it was the last piece I had of my mother . . . I felt like all these people were so out of control, including the person who made the allegation about racism. They took the last thing I had and smashed it,” Melissa Rivers said.

Do you think Kathy Griffin intended to shit all over Joan Rivers’ legacy, or is Melissa Rivers still too tender over her mom’s passing to see what was really going on?

  • Melissa Rivers Remembers Mom Joan Rivers in Moving Daytime Emmys’ Tribute

Melissa Rivers gave a moving tribute to her mom, Joan Rivers, at Sunday’s Daytime Emmy Awards Ceremony, just eight months after the iconic comedian lost her life during routine throat surgery at the age of 81.

Joan Rivers won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1990 and a clip of her acceptance speech was aired at the Emmy ceremony Sunday. Following the clip, Melissa Rivers took to the stage to remember her mother in a touching speech.

“After some terrible lows in my mom’s life, both personally and professionally, the cancellation of her late-night talk show and the unimaginable loss of my dad would’ve probably been more than most people could bear,” Melissa began, referring to Edgar Rosenberg’s 1987 suicide. “But not my mother. She refused to give up. And the daytime television community saved her.”

Joan famously struggled after her late night show was canceled after just one season. It took two years before she would return for the highly successful The Joan Rivers Show.

“It ran for five years, and brought her the only Emmy she would ever win,” Melissa shared. “This strong foundation reinvigorated her career, and my mother felt loved and valued by the daytime community, and for that I will always be grateful.”

Joan Rivers mentioned those difficult times in the clip of her 1990 Emmy win shown Sunday.

“Two years ago, I couldn’t get a job in this business. I could not get a job,” she said at the time. “My income dropped to one-sixteenth of what it was before I was fired. And people said I wouldn’t work again. And my husband, as you know, had a breakdown.”

Tearfully, she continued: “It’s so sad that he’s not here, because it was husband, Edgar Rosenberg, who always said, ‘You can turn things around.’ And except for one terrible moment in a hotel room in Philadelphia when he forget that, this is really for him. Because he was with me from the beginning, and I’m so sorry he’s not here.”

Melissa Rivers said her mother enjoyed more success than any one could have imagined after some very trying years.

“She went on to have 24 more fabulous years,” Melissa said Sunday, “and I got to enjoy all of them with her, as her producer, her business partner, her costar, and the best part was as her daughter.”

What did you think of Melissa Rivers’ speech?

  • Ben Stiller Learns Why Joan Rivers Didn’t Like Him, Howard Stern Spills

Ben Stiller never knew why Joan Rivers didn’t like him–until recently. Howard Stern was the one to explain things to the Zoolander 2 star, and Stiller is saddened that the opportunity to make things right with the comedienne is lost.

According to a report from People magazine, Ben Stiller appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show on Wednesday and both Stern and his co-host Robin Quivers laid it out for him.

“She says you ignored her on the red carpet,” Quivers told Stiller.

“Oh, is that what it is?” Ben Stiller replied, with a tone that suggested he truly hadn’t known the reason before. “This is helping me, because I didn’t understand why she didn’t like me.”

Howard Stern told Ben Stiller that Joan Rivers repeatedly dissed him when she appeared on Stern’s radio show. Stiller explained that he was even more baffled about her disdain for him because she was such great friends with his parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara.

Stern told Stiller that Joan Rivers’ friendship with his parents served only to ‘add fuel to the fire.’

“She’d say, ‘Howard, I’m friends with Ben’s mother. And Ben should say hello to me’ … she was really ticked that you wouldn’t say hello to her,” Howard Stern said.

“See, this makes it all clear to me now,” Ben Stiller replied. “I don’t remember that happening, but I’m sure it did.”

Ben Stiller no doubt feels terrible learning that Joan Rivers’ dislike of him was something she perceived as one thing, but he was completely unaware of. How sad that he didn’t find out sooner so he could have done something to mend fences with the Fashion Police star.

“She was great, and I feel bad that we never got to work that out,” he said. “It’s sad.”

Perhaps the situation between Ben Stiller and Joan Rivers can teach everyone a lesson. Making amends before it’s too late to do so leaves everyone with a brighter perspective and a far more peaceful feeling in their hearts and their minds.

  • Giuliana Rancic: Kathy Griffin Won’t Speak to ‘Fashion Police’ Star Again

Giuliana Rancic likely won’t hear from former Fashion Police costar Kathy Griffin again. Griffin left the show last week, and some sources say it was due in part to Giuliana Rancic.

According to a report from RadarOnline, it all started when Giuliana Rancic made that very unkind–and very unnecessary–remark about Disney’s Shake It Up star Zendaya on the Oscars red carpet. Remarking that Zendaya smelled like ‘patchouli and weed,’ as a diss to her dreadlocks caused quite an uproar.

Some viewers of The Oscars claimed Kathy Griffin made the remarks first. This prompted Giuliana Rancic to place the blame on Griffin rather than to take any responsibility for the hurtful comment herself.

“Giuliana tried blaming Kathy and said that it was actually her fault, but later changed her tune to say it was the writer’s fault,” a source told Radar. “Kathy did not appreciate being blamed and Giuliana showed her true colors by trying to throw her under the bus.”

“Giuliana later apologized to Kathy… because her career was at stake and she knew that she had to,” the source adds. “But the apology was too late. Giuliana didn’t take responsibility for her actions.”

Giuliana Rancic is reportedly ready to put it all behind her, but Kathy Griffin isn’t having it.

“Kathy is done with the drama and she is done with Giuliana,” another source told RadarOnline. “Kathy has not spoken to Giuliana and she has no intentions of ever speaking to her again, unless she has to.”

Are you surprised to learn that Kathy Griffin and Giuliana Rancic are no longer on speaking terms? Do you blame Kathy Griffin for her attitude or do you think she’s being trivial about the ordeal?

And who do you think will take over for Kathy Griffin on Fashion Police? She was the one bestowed with the honor of taking the spot vacated by Joan Rivers when she passed away.

  • Kathy Griffin: Twitter Support from Kelly Osbourne and More Over ‘Fashion Police’ Exit

Kathy Griffin announced on Thursday that she was leaving Fashion Police. Following that announcement–which appeared on her Twitter feed–Griffin contacted a few close friends and asked them to show her some Twitter love in light of her resignation. Those friends were all too happy to comply.

“I’m reaching out to you because I think you will understand why I have made this decision and I am asking for your support,” Kathy Griffin wrote via an email.

“Oh, and I am nervous and scared about this … in case you’re wondering,” she added.

    The response was overwhelming.

Kelly Osbourne tweeted out the following to Kathy Griffin.

Chelsea Handler sent a tweet, too.

Even Rosie O’Donnell chimed in out of support for Kathy Griffin.

Mindy Kaling, star of The Mindy Project, offered her support as well.

Hopefully all this support helps Kathy Griffin feel better about her decision to leave Fashion Police.

So why, exactly, did she do it?

One report claims Giuliana Rancic and her diva behavior had a lot to do with both Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne leaving the show.

Kathy Griffin is multi-talented and will no doubt move on to bigger and better things. It must pain her, however, to have left the show in light of having been named her dear friend Joan Rivers’ replacement.

  • Giuliana Rancic: Is She Behind Kathy Griffin Quitting ‘Fashion Police?’

Is Giuliana Rancic the reason Kathy Griffin resigned from Fashion Police? RadarOnline says yes.

It wasn’t so much the remark Giuliana Rancic made about Disney star Zendaya and her dreadlocks at the Oscars (Rancic said they smelled like patchouli and weed), but rather her diva behavior that apparently caused a real issue. It’s apparently at least partially to blame for Kelly Osbourne leaving the show, too.

“Giuliana’s entourage of a stylist, make-up artist, and assistant, plus her constant need for attention, were absolutely stunning to Kathy,” a source tells Radar. “Kathy is extremely low-maintenance, and doesn’t need to pay people to follow her around all day.”

“Tapings of Fashion Police were awful because Giuliana constantly needed to have her make-up re-touched,” the source added. “Her face was always in front of a mirror. Kathy wanted to turn it into a skit for her comedy act!”

It sounds like Giuliana Rancic lacked in the self-esteem department, too.

“Giuliana was always seeking approval and compliments from the crew of Fashion Police,” the source continued. “And if she wasn’t being validated, there were tears. This is a grown woman, not a teenager.”

The source went on to say that if anyone at all deserved the kind of diva treatment that Giuliana Rancic demanded, it was Kathy Griffin.

“What is Giuliana’s talent exactly? She interviews celebrities on the red carpet, big deal. Kathy is actually a very established and funny comedienne,” the source said. “When was the last time Giuliana sold out a venue, as Kathy does when she performs?”

Kathy Griffin was only recently named as the successor to the late Joan Rivers on Fashion Police.

“Kathy just thought the environment at Fashion Police was very toxic, and felt like something from Mean Girls. It was very cliquish, and Kathy always felt like the outsider. She just didn’t want to put up with it anymore, and quit,” the source explained.

Are you surprised to learn that Kathy Griffin has left Fashion Police? Do you think she has now left the door wide open for Giuliana Rancic to fill her shoes?

  • Kathy Griffin to Revamp ‘Fashion Police’ Following Kelly Osbourne’s Depature? How?

Kathy Griffin reportedly has plans to ‘revamp’ Fashion Police in the wake of Kelly Osbourne’s sudden departure last Friday. Griffin was named as the show’s replacement for Joan Rivers, who passed away this past September.

Kelly Osbourne resigned from Fashion Police following an inappropriate comment co-star Giuliana Rancic made about Disney star Zendaya on the red carpet at the Oscars. Zendaya sported dreadlocks, and Rancic said they smelled like ‘patchouli or weed.’

RadarOnline reports that had Kelly Osbourne not resigned, she would have been fired. The show’s producers seemed far more upset over the attention Osbourne drew to Giuliana Rancic’s comment via social media than they were about the actual distasteful comment.

“Speaking out so publicly against the show on social media made things so much worse,” a source told them.

Now that Osbourne is gone, Kathy Griffin will reportedly add things to Fashion Police like ‘fun skits.’ She is also hopeful that Khloe Kardashian will take Kelly Osbourne’s place.

It was back in January that Kathy Griffin made her debut in Joan Rivers’ spot on Fashion Police. And while she brought her ‘acerbic wit’ to the show, she was seemingly at a loss when she didn’t have anything to bash. This left fans–and no doubt some cast and crew members, too–missing Rivers even more.

Do you think Kathy Griffin has what it takes to continue on in Joan Rivers’ place on Fashion Police, and even more importantly to revamp the show? Will ‘fun skits’ improve ratings in the wake of Joan Rivers’ passing?

NeNe Leakes is reportedly also being considered for Kelly Osbourne’s spot.

Will Kathy Griffin has a say in whether NeNe Leakes or Khloe Kardashian is chosen?

  • Melissa Rivers Tries To Get Justice For Mother’s Death, Files Lawsuit

Melissa Rivers has filed a lawsuit against the clinic where her mother, Joan Rivers, underwent an outpatient procedure that resulted in her death. Melissa released a statement regarding the lawsuit, alleging that the clinic is guilty of committing several errors that contributed to her mother’s cardiac arrest. “Filing this lawsuit was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make,” Melissa Rivers said in the statement. “What ultimately guided me was my unwavering belief that no family should ever have to go through what my mother, [my son] Cooper and I have been through.”

“The level of medical mismanagement, incompetency, disrespect and outrageous behavior is shocking and frankly, almost incomprehensible,” Melissa Rivers added. Joan Rivers was being treated at Yorkville Endoscopy for voice changing and acid reflux problems back in August 2014. According to Reports, Joan went into cardiac arrest after a routine procedure blocked the passage of oxygen to her brain. She died a month later after being taken off life support.

Some of the claims against Yorkville Endoscopy include their negligence and failure to keep medical records, their failure to get consent for every procedure performed, and allowing Joan Rivers’ personal ears, nose, and throat specialist to take part in the procedure despite not being authorized by the clinic. The lawsuit also claims that a laryngoscopy was performed without Rivers’ consent. When an anesthesiologist expressed concern about the effects of the procedure on her breathing, the gastroenterologist performing the surgery brushed her off and said that she “was being paranoid”.

Melissa Rivers’ attorneys also released a statement about the lawsuit, saying, “To put it mildly, we are not just disappointed by the acts and omissions leading to the death of Joan Rivers, but we are outraged by the lack of care and concern for Ms. Rivers on the part of her treating physicians and the endoscopy center where the treatment was rendered.”

  • Kathy Griffin Disses Amal Clooney’s Gloves At Golden Globes; The ‘Fashion Police’ Has Arrived

Kathy Griffin has some pretty big shoes to fill after the passing of comedy legend Joan Rivers. Griffin has joined the panel over at E! News’ Fashion Police, and the comedienne has already promised to up her game. “The funniest thing is, I think the consensus was that people thought I was holding back a little bit,” Kathy told Access Hollywood regarding her first appearance on the show. Griffin joined Fashion Police just in time for awards season and her first task was judging the Golden Globe red carpet. On her first day at the show, she notoriously dissed Amal Clooney’s white gloves and called her “worst dressed of the evening”.

“I’m thrilled about the conversation started by the Amal glove talk,” Kathy Griffin told Access Hollywood. “The gloves came off, literally. And actually, Amal took the gloves off before I took the gloves off. So Amal wore them on the red carpet and during the show, while she was pouting, did not have the gloves. So then, when I was hosting Fashion Police, the gloves came back on. As they should. It’s my job.”

Kathy Griffin also talked about taking over for the late Joan Rivers. She said, “I feel the pressure of living up to the legacy of Joan Rivers and the show.” The outspoken comedienne also paid tribute to Rivers during her first appearance in Fashion Police as a host. “Before I start making more enemies and burning more bridges, I just want to thank my good friend whom we all miss, Joan Rivers,” Kathy Griffin said as the audience and her co-hosts gave a round of applause.

The fact that Kathy Griffin is Rivers’ protégé of sorts makes her the perfect fit for the show. Kathy tells of her meeting with Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter as well as Fashion Police executive producer, “I felt Joan’s presence because Melissa was there. She’s the bridge between the Joan era and hopefully what will be an era that we’re able to continue.”

  • Giuliana Rancic Remembers the Late Joan Rivers in Blog Post — ‘I Miss Her Dearly’

Giuliana Rancic updated her website recently and in her first post, titled “For Joan,” she dedicated the site to her late Fashion Police co-host and dear friend Joan Rivers, who died unexpectedly in September at age 81 after a routine throat procedure.

“I am so, so, so humbled by all of the support for the return of Fashion Police tonight on E!” wrote Rancic in the message posted on Sunday. “We have a fresh, new show in store for you guys with a completely transformed set, new segments and of course, the addition of Brad Goreski and Kathy Griffin who will be joining Kelly [Osbourne] and I.

“The four of us have never worked together before, but we have been having a blast at our photo shoots over the past few weeks,” Rancic wrote. “I know we are going to have the best time on the show together. What it comes down to is that we all love to laugh and have fun with fashion, the perfect recipe for the new Fashion Police.”

Tonight's the night! Tune in to an all new @fashionpolice at 9/8c on E!!!

A photo posted by Giuliana Rancic (@giulianarancic) on

She briefly praised Rivers’ daughter, Melissa Rivers, who is the executive producer of the show.

“It has been a difficult transition the past few months without our Joan, but we all know that she would want the show to go on,” Rancic noted. “We have her incredible daughter, Melissa, back as our Executive Producer and she will always be the link back to Joan. We will always think of her on set and we know that she will be watching over and laughing alongside us.”

The 40-year-old reality star thanked loyal fans for their “sweet words and messages” after Rivers’ death.

“I miss her dearly and think of her all the time,” Rancic concluded. “I am proud to continue on this show that she made so wonderful and special and I hope we make her proud in our premiere episode.”

  • Joan Rivers’ Will Specified Charities

Joan Rivers has been mourned heavily since her death in September, when she stopped breathing during a throat procedure, and among those who feel the loss of the comedian are the people she endowed her generosity to. Now, details of her will have been released, and it looks like there are specifications for several charities to receive money from her large estate.

Rivers left her daughter, Melissa, in charge of dividing up her assets and reportedly asked that money be given to Guide Dogs for the Blind, Jewish Guild Healthcare, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, God’s Love We Deliver, the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Jewish Home and Hospital Foundation in Manhattan. The amounts aren’t known.

The 81-year old actress and comedian was undergoing a procedure on her throat at a New York clinic when she suffered a spasm of her vocal chords, which limited her breathing and caused her to go into cardiac arrest. She was put into a medically-induced coma and transported to a nearby hospital, where she stayed for several days unconscious before her death, which was ruled as caused by a “therapeutic complication”.

“The classification of a death as a therapeutic complication means that the death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy,” the autopsy report explained.

Rumors began to circulate earlier this year that Melissa Rivers was planning to sue the clinic that performed the procedure, with The Daily Mail reporting the news from a source.

“Melissa does plan to sue the clinic. It’s very difficult to discuss something so unpleasant with her, but she is going to launch a lawsuit,” the source said.

For Melissa, a lawsuit would be more about getting answers as to why her mother died than anything else.

“It’s not about the money. For Melissa, this is about getting an answer about why this happened and making sure it never happens again. The only way to get these answers is to file a lawsuit. Melissa wants answers—not money,” a source said in October.

  • Kathy Griffin To Join ‘Fashion Police’ As Joan River’s Replacement

Kathy Griffin is the newest member of E!’s original series Fashion Police.

When Joan Rivers passed away suddenly earlier this year, no one knew who would, or could, fill her shoes on the show. However, it has officially been announced that Griffin will be taking her spot aside fellow co-hosts Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic, and newcomer Brad Goreski.

On Monday, E! made the announcement, revealing that Griffin will join the cast in January 2015 to cover the Golden Globes. The show, which originally aired weekly, will now have 17 episodes throughout 2015 which will cover high-profile events.

“I get it! These are some big shoes I’m going to fill,” Griffin said in her announcement. “Joan was truly one of a kind. Now I hope you will accept me for me. I’m just Kathy. Did I say I’m just Kathy? I meant I’m Kathy F***ing Griffin and you celebrities better strap yourself in, as I am taking no prisoners. I am not holding back so DAMMIT let’s have some fun!”

While Griffin is excited to take on the new position, she said she wouldn’t even consider it without Joan’s daughter Melissa Rivers giving her her blessing.

“Melissa gave me the blessing, which was a deal-breaker for me – or the deal-maker,” Griffin said. “That was what made me go, ‘If Melissa says it’s okay, then it’s okay.’”

“Kathy just feels right, and Brad brings a fun, new voice to join Giuliana and Kelly in this ensemble,” said Melissa Rivers. “I’m excited to see where this panel takes this series my mother so adored in this next incarnation.”

Do you think Kathy Griffin is the right choice as Joan’s replacement? Leave your comments below.

  • Kathy Griffin To Replace The Late Joan Rivers On ‘Fashion Police’

Kathy Griffin was officially announced as the replacement for the late Joan Rivers on E!‘s red carpet series Fashion Police.

The series set the standard in “diss and dismiss” when it comes to celebrity award show fashion.

A big part of the show’s success was peerless insult machine Joan Rivers.

However, when Rivers passed away, it seemed there would be no one either willing or capable of filling in for the bold comedienne.

Kathy Griffin seems like the most promising of suggested choices.

For one thing, Griffin seems to fall into a brand of humor not too dissimilar to Joan.

Kathy is known for her brand of harsh, biting, unapologetic humor. Perhaps aside from Rivers herself, Griffin is most known for being able to “go there”.

As such, Kathy Griffin was likely always at the top of the list to replace Rivers.

But it’s not a challenge to be taken lightly, and Griffin revealed during the announcement that she understood she had “big shoes to fill”.

“Joan was truly one of a kind. Now I hope you will accept me for me,” said Griffin. “I’m just Kathy. Did I say, ‘I’m just Kathy’? I meant, ‘I’m Kathy F***ing Griffin and you celebrities better strap yourself in, as I am taking no prisoners’.”

It won’t be until January, when the Fashion Police covers the Golden Globes that we learn whether or not Kathy Griffin can deliver on her promise.

    Or was that a warning?

In any case, Kathy Griffin will not be going it alone. Also returning for the new season of Fashion Police are Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic.

Griffin also won’t be the only newcomer to the series: The show is expected to welcome fashion stylist Brad Goreski of the former Bravo reality series It’s A Brad, Brad World.

  • Kate Gosselin, Joan Rivers Join Real Housewives and DWTS Alum on Celebrity Apprentice

Kate Gosselin is on board for the latest round of Celebrity Apprentice. But you already knew that.

Kate Gosselin has been talking about her upcoming appearance on Celebrity Apprentice 7 way ahead of Donald Trump’s official announcement. The reality TV mom will have to square off against — and cooperate with — the likes of two “real housewives”: Brandi Glanville from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Kenya Moore from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

While these ladies are under close watch for the possibility of drama they may bring to the proceedings, they also have to contend with a few heavy-hitters who could dust them where it counts: business and contacts.

Geraldo Rivera is in the lineup. With his years of media work and contacts, Rivera could be a formidable opponent.

There are a few Dancing with the Stars alumni among the cast this time around. In addition to Gosselin herself, who only lasted five rounds on DWTS, there is Ian Ziering, who made it to the semi-finals in Season Four. But there is also Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, who won the mirrorball trophy in Season Eight.

Gosselin recognizes that she was out of her element in DWTS, but thinks she can do better this time around.

“I’m really excited to sort of take on a competition that I have a chance of doing well at, versus others I’ve done,” she told US Magazine last month. “I feel really in my element taking on something like this.”

Gosselin says she is better-suited to this competition due to her personality.

“I have a business-running personality,” she said. “I work for myself. I’m the secretary, the personal assistant, the president, the accountant, and I run my ship at home as efficiently as possible.”

Gosselin, Johnson, Rivera and the others will be joined by Keshia Knight Pulliam from The Cosby Show, comedian Gilbert Gottfried, Lezza Gibbons, Kevin Jonas, Vivica A. Fox and Terrell Owens.

A couple of episodes will feature appearances by the now-deceased Joan Rivers as an advisor to Donald Trump.

  • Joan Rivers’ Death May Have Been Preventable, Report Shares Shocking Details

Joan Rivers’ death may very well have been preventable.

A new report shares shocking details surrounding her “routine” procedure that eventually resulted in her death.

According to the report, doctors involved in the procedure continued working on her throat with a surgical instrument despite plummeting vital signs.

The doctors also allegedly delayed calling 911 for at least 10 minutes and instead tried to revive her themselves, this according to the New York Post. Dr. Lawrence Cohen from Yorkville Endoscopy and Joan’s own ENT, Dr. Gwen Korovin, attempted to resuscitate Rivers, but failed.

“She had no heartbeat, no pulse, she wasn’t breathing,” one insider said of Rivers’ condition when first responders finally arrived at the Upper East Side clinic at 9:47 a.m Aug. 28.

“She had cyanosis around the lips and the mouth — that’s when your lips turn blue from lack of oxygen,” said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “That takes several minutes without oxygen.”

The Post report says even before Joan went into cardiac arrest, her pulse and blood pressure were dropping quickly, but the doctors continued scoping her larynx and trachea for those 10 minutes that were critical.

Rivers‘ pulse also reportedly sank to 47 prior to the anethesiologist administering Propofol.

TMZ broke the story of a federal report which says there were major problems with the amount of Propofol used on Rivers.

Apparently, the Department of Health and Human Services examined the Yorkville Endoscopy Center, where Joan stopped breathing. The department found no record of the staff weighing Rivers before administering the Propofol, which determines the amount of sedative necessary for a patient.

Dr. Korovin and Dr. Cohen have not responded to reports detailing alleged errors during the procedure.

  • Joan Rivers: New Details About Her Death

The death of Joan Rivers was shocking and tragic, and her family, friends and fans are demanding answers from the clinic responsible for her passing.

According to Page Six, a recent report has revealed new information about her death and shows that Rivers could possibly have been saved had the doctors performing the surgery performed CPR and called 911 as soon as they noticed her vital signs were not right.

Instead, the report shows that they continued the throat procedure for at least 14 minutes after they first noticed her blood pressure and heart rate dropping.

The report also shows that the doctors tried to resuscitate her themselves after she went into cardiac arrest and waited another 10 minutes to call 911.

“She had no heartbeat, no pulse, she wasn’t breathing,” a source told Page Six. “She had cyanosis around the lips and the mouth — that’s when your lips turn blue from lack of oxygen. That takes several minutes without oxygen.”

The report claims that the medics who arrived at the scene were able to get Rivers’ heart beating again and were also able to restore oxygen to her lungs. Unfortunately, too much time had passed and her brain had gone longer than the five minutes it takes for brain damage to occur. Rivers was not able to recover and died a week after she went into cardiac arrest.

“They should have stopped the procedure and started resuscitation right away and done an emergency tracheotomy if there was any obstruction,” the insider added. “Maybe she would still be alive.”

Rivers’ daughter Melissa did not comment on the new evidence found in the report but previously said that she is ready to move on and help make sure that a similar incident does not happen to anyone else.

  • Kathy Griffin Confirmed as Joan Rivers’ ‘Fashion Police’ Replacement

TMZ reports that Kathy Griffin will indeed be replacing the late Joan Rivers on E!’s Fashion Police. Sources from the show tell TMZ it’s a ‘done deal.’

Us Weekly reports that Kathy Griffin will be joined by Joan Rivers’ daughter and Fashion Police producer Melissa Rivers, as well as by co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne. It’s unclear as to whether fellow co-host George Kotsiopoulos will stay on as well.

The show will no longer be aired each week, but rather will air only on special occasions or as event programming.

An Us Weekly sources says, “Joan has always given her blessing to Kathy” and that she “wanted Kathy to be her successor.”

“They talked about it many times,” the source says. “They have such a similar sense of humor and were the best of friends. Joan would have loved seeing Kathy on Fashion Police and she would have definitely approved.”

Kathy Griffin admitted earlier in November that she had been offered the job.

“I don’t know if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time,” she said at the time.

She has no doubt given the offer some thought and decided to walk in some very big shoes.

Joan Rivers died on September 4th in New York City, following a procedure at Yorkville Endoscopy a few days earlier. She left behind her daughter Melissa Rivers and one grandson.

How do you think fans of Fashion Police will react–not only to the confirmation of Kathy Griffin as Joan Rivers’ replacement, but about the show no longer airing on a weekly basis?

  • Melissa Rivers Outraged Over Death Investigation Findings

Melissa Rivers is allegedly outraged and emotional over the findings of her mother’s death investigation. The Department of Health released the report on Monday and claimed that the staff at Yorkville Endoscopy had “failed to identify deteriorating vital signs and provide timely intervention.”

Melissa’s mother, Joan Rivers, died from brain damage as a result of a lack of oxygen to her brain. Rivers stopped breathing while undergoing a routine surgery on her throat.

The report also showed that the clinic failed to keep accurate medical records and that there was conflicting information about the amount of Propofol used to sedate Rivers.

The report showed that there were conflicting stories about resuscitation and that one of the surgeons operating on Rivers was not even licensed to perform surgery at the clinic.

The clinic will lose its certification Jan. 7 unless it fixes the deficiencies found by state investigators and reported to the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services, according to the federal report.

The clinic plans to make the necessary fixes and released a statement about the report.

“The regulatory agencies are currently reviewing the corrective plan of action and have been in regular contact with Yorkville,” the clinic’s statement said. “In addition, the physicians involved in the direct care and treatment referenced in the report no longer practice or provide services at Yorkville.”

Melissa Rivers’ attorneys released a statement on her behalf and said that she is upset over the findings but ready to move forward and prevent a similar incident from happening to someone else.

“As any of us would be, Ms. Rivers is outraged by the misconduct and mismanagement now shown to have occurred before, during and after the procedure,” attorneys Jeffrey B. Bloom and Ben Rubinowitz said Monday in a prepared statement. “Moving forward, Ms. Rivers will direct her efforts towards ensuring that what happened to her mother will not occur again with any other patient.”

  • Kathy Griffin Confirms She Was Offered Joan Rivers’ Job

After loads of speculation on the subject, the truth is finally out. For weeks after Joan Rivers died from complications of surgery, there were rumors that Kathy Griffin would be tapped to take Rivers’ place on Fashion Police. For a while, Griffin denied that she was under consideration at all. But now she is coming clean.

“They did offer it to me,” Griffin said at an event earlier this week. But she expressed reservations about taking the job.

“I don’t know if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time,” she said.

Regardless of whether or not Griffin takes Rivers’ seat on Fashion Police, she does want to see the show continue.

“I really hope they continue in the spirit of Joan’s work,” she told Access Hollywood. “She brought a fearlessness and a brand of humor into our homes that we really need.”

Before Rivers died, but while she was in a coma, there were rumors that Griffin would be subbing for Rivers on the show.

“Kathy has been told if she wants the gig she can have it because Melissa wanted someone who her mother would have approved of,” the Daily Mail quoted a “show source” as saying. “Kathy will probably take the position but they are still working out the deal.”

    Griffin vehemently denied it.

“It’s disgusting. It’s not true,” she told Larry King. “And I know that stuff shouldn’t bother me at this stage of my career – you know, I thought I’d heard it all – but that one hurts, because it’s as far from the truth as you can get.”

Fashion Police will return in January, 2015 starting with coverage of the Golden Globe Awards.

  • Kelly Osbourne Gets Inked To Honor Joan Rivers

Kelly Osbourne has several tattoos already, but she decided to add one to her shoulder in honor of a dear friend who recently passed: Joan Rivers.

Osbourne shared a photo of the new ink recently on Instagram with a caption that explains why she chose the design, a small white bumblebee.

“If you looked at aerodynamics, at science, the bumble bee should not be able to fly. Physically, it was just not anatomically equipped to soar. Yet it did, defying gravity, defying logic. The bee was a creature that defied and beat the odds, a miracle,” she quoted on the image sharing site, adding, “Thank you for being my miracle @JoanRivers.”

Rivers passed away in September after a throat procedure, during which her heart stopped. Osbourne later shared a clearer photo of the tattoo, which was done in white ink.

As per your request.. Here is a clearer & less bloody pic of my tattoo! #WhiteInk
