  • Jessa Duggar: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Shares Pregnancy Update Via Instagram

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald of 19 Kids and Counting fame are expecting their first baby on the anniversary of their first wedding anniversary–November 1st. Jessa is keeping 19 Kids and Counting fans apprised of how she’s doing via Instagram, but not in the same way sister Jill Duggar did when she and Derick Dillard were expecting their baby boy.

When Jill Duggar was pregnant, Derick Dillard took photos of her baby bump every month to show the progression. They welcomed son Israel David Dillard on April 6th.

Jessa Duggar is keeping followers abreast of her pregnancy progress by sharing Instagram photos–one of which shares what she’s been eating lately.

“Lunch date with my man! Yeah… because “the baby” was craving Arby’s! I love being able to use that excuse.
    #BabySeewald #RoastBeef #ArbysSauce #JamochaShake,” she captioned the following photo.

Even more recently, Jessa Duggar shared a printout of her actual pregnancy update.

“#100 days pregnant! So amazing to read about #BabySeewald’s development each week! @ben_seewald
Week 14 Of Pregnancy “If you could peek inside yourself now, you’d see a baby the size of your clenched fist (and come to think of it, at 14 weeks of fetal development, your little one can clench his or her own fist!). As fetal development continues, your baby also has the coordination, strength, and smarts to wiggle his or her fingers and toes and even suck a thumb (how cute is that?),” she captioned it.

A source close to the 19 Kids and Counting family recently told E! News that Jessa Duggar’s pregnancy is progressing nicely.

“Jessa’s pregnancy is going well so far,” the source says. “She has barely been sick, but she did have a spell for about three weeks earlier but feels great now.”

Hopefully all continues to go well for Jessa Duggar as she and Ben Seewald await the birth of their first baby. Grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are no doubt thrilled. Jill Duggar’s baby is their fourth grandchild. Josh and Anna Duggar will soon have the fifth grandchild, with Jessa and Ben’s being the sixth for the 19 Kids and Counting matriarch and patriarch.

  • ’19 Kids and Counting: Jill’s Special Delivery’ Highlights Jill Duggar’s Labor and Delivery

19 Kids and Counting: Jill’s Special Delivery is a two-hour special episode of the show that features the Duggar family. This special episode airs Tuesday night, May 5th, and will highlight Jill Duggar as she recently experienced both labor and birth.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard welcomed their son, Israel David Dillard, into the world on April 6th, but not everything went as the young couple planned. This episode of 19 Kids and Counting will share with fans how some things that could go wrong during labor did exactly that for Jill and Derick.

People magazine reports that Jill Duggar–a student midwife in addition to a young wife and new mom–was on ‘information overload’ prior to having her baby.

“She’s got information overload,” Michelle Duggar says in a sneak peek at this special episode of 19 Kids and Counting. “Plus, there’s the realization that she’s fixing to go through [the delivery of her first child]. Put those together and you could call that stress!”

Jill Duggar Dillard wound up experiencing 70 hours of labor before giving birth to baby Israel via a C-section. That–as well as even more details–will play themselves out on this week’s episode of 19 Kids and Counting.

Will you be tuning in to TLC tonight (Tuesday, May 5th) at 8:00 p.m. ET to see 19 Kids and Counting: Jill’s Special Delivery?

Hopefully Jill Duggar’s 70 hours of labor doesn’t cause too much stress for sister Jessa Duggar. She and hubby Ben Seewald are the latest members of the 19 Kids and Counting family to announce that they’re now expecting a baby, too.

  • Jill Duggar: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Talks C-Section Recovery, Criticized for Use of Baby Sling

Jill Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting fame is in the news again. Not only is the young mom of new baby, Israel David Dillard, dishing on the recovery process from her recent C-section, she is also being criticized for use of a baby sling.

“I am getting better,” Jill said regarding her C-section, in a recent interview with People magazine. “I am still recovering. I am trying not to overdo it.”

Hubby Derick Dillard has gone back to work, but that doesn’t mean Jill Duggar has been left to her own devices, caring for her new baby and healing, too.

“I am so grateful for the help of my family,” she says. “I have had one of my sisters, my mother or Derick’s mother here with me most of the time now that Derick has gone back to work. It is really a blessing to have family close by to reach out to.”

Jill Duggar has been off pain meds since about a week after Israel was born.

“One day I felt really good and I did too much that day and the next day, I paid for it,” she says. “The pain around my incision depends on what I’ve done that day and if I’ve rested enough or not.”

19 Kids and Counting matriarch Michelle Duggar has been a wealth of advice. Michelle had four C-sections.

“She has such great practical advice,” Jill says. “All the repercussions of a C-section are new to me, and she is such a huge blessing.”

Derick Dillard’s mom, Cathy, has been very supportive of Jill Duggar, too.

“Derick’s mom was saying that a year ago it was her first week in the hospital with cancer,” Jill says. “She says she feels so grateful to be able to be here and help out. It is so wonderful, the perspective she has.”

Fortunately little can mar the joy Jill Duggar feels about being a new mom–not even the recent scrutiny she came under when a photo of her carrying Israel in a baby sling caused some controversy. Good Morning America discussed the concerns of these carriers during a segment of their show.

“The big issue with a sling is the risk of suffocation,” Dr. Richard Besser, who is ABC News’ chief health and medical editor, said. “There are some babies who are at greater risk. If your baby’s premature or small for their age, or [in] the first four months of life or they have any cold at all, don’t use a sling.”

He added that when used correctly, however, that these slings are a good way for a mom to have her baby close, and her hands free.

Jill Duggar was asked to comment on the GMA segment, but declined.

There is no way the 19 Kids and Counting star would ever do anything to harm her baby. Jill Duggar is studying to become a midwife, so she certainly is up on the recent dangers of raising babies.

Hopefully this criticism of Jill doesn’t discourage her in any way. She needs to concentrate on healing from her C-section and then getting ready for yet another member of the 19 Kids and Counting family to join the gang. Sister Jessa Duggar recently announced that she and hubby Ben Seewald are expecting. Maybe Jill will share that sling with Jessa when she’s done using it?

  • Jill Duggar, Hubby, Baby Israel Congratulate Jessa Duggar on Pregnancy

Jill Duggar Dillard and husband Derick Dillard–along with their new baby, Israel David Dillard–appear in a new video clip congratulating Jill’s sister Jessa Duggar Seewald on her pregnancy. The 19 Kids and Counting family members are always happy to celebrate exciting news, and new members are the biggest excitement of all in the Duggar family.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald only recently announced that they are expecting. The couple tied the knot back on November 1st.

Jill Duggar is especially happy knowing her son Israel and Jessa’s baby will grow up as friends as well as first cousins.

“Hey everybody, we’re the Dillards. I’m Derick and this is Jill, and our newest member Israel. We wanted to send congratulations to Jessa and Ben on your recent pregnancy announcement,” Derick Dillard says in the video clip. “We love you guys and we think you’ll make awesome parents.”

Derick Dillard is adapting nicely to fatherhood, but that’s not to say there haven’t been a few trials thrown at him since Israel’s birth back on April 6th. He wrote about fatherhood in his most recent blog post on April 28th.

“My son Israel nursed 20 min, threw up 4 times, and went through 3 diapers… all within the span of about an hour and a half last night,” Derick wrote. “I’m sure this scenario is all too familiar to millions of parents who, at one time, have had the joy of caring for their infant child. I have much more respect for those dads who have gone on before me and experienced those early stages of fatherhood.”

Derick Dillard continued, reminiscing about his days as a fraternity brother.

“In college I was in fraternities, and I compare my last two weeks to somewhat of an initiation into fatherhood,” he wrote. “The learning curve has been pretty steep since Israel was born. Unlike my wife, I only have one sibling, my brother Dan who is 24, and there are no kids under 18 in my extended family. Being the father of a newborn isn’t always easy, but taking care of my son is so rewarding. I’ve learned that since babies can’t talk or walk, they communicate by crying. Whenever he’s crying, I’ve started just going down a list of possible solutions: 1) Ask him what’s wrong, and then remember that babies can’t talk 2) Change diaper 3) Burp him 4) Bounce him 5) Give him to momma Jill to feed 6) Repeat until crying stops. It has been a fast and furious transition, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Hopefully Derick’s blog post doesn’t scare Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. Their foray into the parenting world won’t come for a few more months.

Derick is very positive, however, regarding Jill Duggar’s handling of parenthood.

“She is a champion,” he says.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are likely encouraged by the congratulatory clip Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard made for them. The two families will likely spend lots of time together in the future–raising their children as first cousins and close friends.

  • Jill Duggar Congratulates Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald on Pregnancy, Shares Photo of Israel David Dillard

Jill Duggar congratulated her sister Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald on their pregnancy recently, and shared a photo of her own brand new baby boy, Israel David Dillard, as well.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard welcomed their son on April 6th. Just a couple of weeks later, Jessa Duggar announced that she and Ben Seewald are expecting, too. Jessa and Ben have known of their pregnancy for a while, as she is now in her second trimester. Do you suppose the 19 Kids and Counting sibling didn’t want to spoil big sister Jill Duggar’s excitement by announcing her pregnancy before Jill and Derick’s baby was born?

It was via Instagram that Jill Duggar congratulated her sister and brother-in-law.

“Congrats to @jessaseewald @ben_seewald on your pregnancy!” she captioned the photo. “Babies are such a blessing!”

Derick Dillard posted a photo of his and Jill Duggar’s new baby on Instagram, along with a birthday wish for Jason Duggar, who recently turned 15.

“Happy 15th birthday to one of my favorite brothers-in-law, Jason Duggar!” Dillard captioned the snapshot. “The Lord has great plans for you bro! #unclejason #happybday.”

There’s certainly lots of excitement in the 19 Kids and Counting family. Jessa Duggar and Derick Dillard’s son is the fourth grandchild for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Son Josh Duggar and his wife Anna have three children and are expecting their fourth. By the time Jessa Duggar’s baby arrives, he or she will be the sixth grandchild for the 19 Kids and Counting patriarch and matriarch.

  • Jessa Duggar, Ben Seewald: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Couple Announces Pregnancy

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald of 19 Kids and Counting fame have confirmed they are expecting their first baby.

RadarOnline reported earlier on Tuesday that Jessa and Ben’s baby is due on November 1st–their first wedding anniversary.

“We’re expecting!” Jessa Duggar said in an interview with People magazine. “We are so excited. The due date is November first, our wedding anniversary.”

“We are looking forward to being parents,” hubby Ben Seewald said.

Jessa Duggar is Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s third daughter. She and Ben Seewald, who is the oldest of seven children, will share a special message Tuesday night when 19 Kids and Counting airs on TLC.

By now, of course, Jessa has entered her second trimester.

“I am feeling pretty good,” she says. “The morning sickness was different every day. It’s getting better, but I’m still hanging on to the heartburn. And I don’t have any super-serious food cravings.”

Jessa Duggar found out she was pregnant one morning before she and her husband headed to church. She took a pregnancy test, and then approached Ben.

“I said, ‘Hey Ben, guess what? Yeah, you’re a dad.’ We couldn’t believe it,” she said. “We are so excited. We have started talking baby names. It is one of those things that is so special, picking a name for a baby.”

Jessa’s sister Jill Duggar, and her husband Derick Dillard, just welcomed their first baby–Israel David Dillard–on April 6th. Do you expect Jessa Duggar kept her pregnancy a secret so she didn’t take away from Jill and Derick’s excitement?

That would definitely be the Duggar thing to do.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are looking to God to help them become good parents.

We are trying to take it one day at a time,” Ben says. “We pray every night that God helps us be good parents. We are getting advice from other parents.”

19 Kids and Counting fans from all over the country are likely thrilled for Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald. Their baby will make the sixth grandchild for Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. Jill Duggar’s baby was their fourth grandchild, and son Josh Duggar and his wife Anna are expecting their fourth–which will be their sixth grandchild.

Congratulations to Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. The next few months will certainly be exciting ones for the 19 Kids and Counting family.

  • Jill Duggar: Son’s Birth Brought Her Closer to Hubby Derick Dillard

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are much closer since the birth of their son, Israel David Dillard. The 19 Kids and Counting couple welcomed their baby boy into their world on April 6th. Jill experienced a total of 70 hours of labor before giving birth via a C-section.

Jill said in a recent interview with People magazine that Israel is “worth every single contraction.”

Proud father Derick Dillard sang ‘Jesus Loves Me’ to his new baby while Jill Duggar was recovering from surgery.

“[It was] the song I’d sung to him every night when Jill was pregnant. I looked at him and thought, ‘This is my son. I love this person,’” Derick said.

Jill Duggar is comfortably continuing her recovery at home these days, and nursing baby Israel. She has lots of help from her Duggar siblings, in addition to mom Michelle Duggar, dad Jim Bob Duggar, and mother-in-law Cathy Dillard. Even though a C-section wasn’t what she and Derick had planned for, she claims she wouldn’t change any of it.

“I love our birth story because it bonded us so well. It brought us through something amazing together,” she said.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s birth story will air on a special episode of 19 Kids and Counting on May 5th. Yes, the TLC cameras were present for a good deal of Jill Duggar’s labor. They couldn’t be there for the delivery because that required that she be wheeled into the operating room.

“It was a journey that we needed to go through,” Jill Duggar says.

Fans are rejoicing right along with Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard, and the entire 19 Kids and Counting family on the arrival of Israel David Dillard, and are no doubt looking forward to the May 5th show.

  • ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Jill Duggar Had C-Section

19 Kids and Counting Star Jill Duggar had her and Derick Dillard’s baby, Israel David Dillard, via a C-section, answering at least part of the question fans have had about why she wound up having the baby in a hospital instead of at home as the midwife-in-training had planned.

Even though some hospitals advise against vaginal births after C-sections, Jill Duggar Dillard believes she and her husband will be blessed with many more children.

“The doctor told me he has no doubt I’ll be able to have a vaginal delivery the next time,” she said. “We told the doctor, ‘Stitch me up really well.”

The 19 Kids and Counting star endured about 70 hours of labor before the decision was made to deliver the baby via a C-section.

“She had labored for so long. There’s no shame in that, there’s no shame in not progressing, there’s no shame in getting a C-section,” Derick said.

“It was confirmation for us that God was leading us,” Jill said. “We were grateful for God showing us what to do in time.”

Israel David Dillard is the fourth grandchild for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Son Josh Duggar and his wife Anna have three, with a fourth on the way–meaning the 19 Kids and Counting patriarch and matriarch will have five grandchildren before the end of the year.

TLC is airing a very special episode of 19 Kids and Counting on May 5th, and it will feature the birth of Israel David Dillard. Jill Duggar Dillard’s labor and delivery will be highlighted during the show.

Are you surprised to learn the reason behind Jill Duggar giving birth in a hospital, instead of at home?

  • Jill Dillard: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Had Baby Israel via C-Section

Jill Dillard–nee Jill Duggar–endured about 70 hours of labor that ended with baby Israel David Dillard being born via an unplanned C-section. The 19 Kids and Counting star, who is studying to become a midwife, had planned on a home delivery, with mom Michelle Duggar and mother-in-law Cathy Dillard present to lend moral support.

Despite the C-section, Derick and Jill Dillard feel quite confident that the 19 Kids and Counting won’t have to limit the number of future children they have. Some hospitals do advise against vaginal births following C-sections, but Jill feels optimistic just the same.

“The doctor told me he has no doubt I’ll be able to have a vaginal delivery the next time,” she said. “We told the doctor, ‘Stitch me up really well.”

Derick and Jill Dillard say they feel blessed with the delivery of their baby boy, even though things didn’t go exactly as planned.

“She had labored for so long. There’s no shame in that, there’s no shame in not progressing, there’s no shame in getting a C-section,” Derick said.

“It was confirmation for us that God was leading us,” Jill said. “We were grateful for God showing us what to do in time.”

A special episode of 19 Kids and Counting will air on May 5th, and will feature the birth of Israel David Dillard. Jill Dillard’s labor and delivery will be highlighted during the show.

Will you be tuning in to learn more about what Jill Duggar Dillard experienced when bringing Baby Dilly–what she and Derick referred to their unborn baby as prior to his birth–into their world?

  • Duggar Family: Jill Opens Up About Agonizing Labor

The Duggar family have been in the news a lot over the past few weeks, due to the birth of Jill’s first child just after Easter and the premiere of the 19 Kids And Counting episode that focused on Jessa’s wedding to Ben Seewald, but now the headlines are focusing on Jill again.

Originally, Jill was supposed to have a home birth, but she ended up having her son Israel at a hospital because, after 70 agonizing hours of labor, the baby still wasn’t ready to come out. Jill’s doctors advised her to have a C-section, so she went ahead with the surgery. Little Israel was born on the day after Easter.

“She had labored for so long. There’s no shame in that, there’s no shame in not progressing, there’s no shame in getting a C-section,” husband Derick told People Magazine.

After the painful and exhausting ordeal, Jill says she’s still planning on having as many children as she’s able to after doctors said she should be able to have a vaginal birth with no complications the next time around.

“It was confirmation for us that God was leading us. We were grateful for God showing us what to do in time…we told the doctor, ‘Stitch me up really well,’ ” Jill said. “The doctor told me he has no doubt I’ll be able to have a vaginal delivery the next time.”

Jill’s sister Jessa got some more of the spotlight this week after her wedding episode aired on TLC and fans finally got an in-depth look at what the ceremony was like. The reality star says she and Ben wanted things to be more personalized so they wrote their own vows, and saved their first kiss just for each other, exiting the altar to find a private room so they didn’t have to share it with the audience.

  • ’19 Kids and Counting:’ Jessa Duggar Shares Exciting News

The 19 Kids and Counting family is still reeling with excitement over the birth of Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s baby, Israel David Duggar–and in the midst of that excitement, Jessa Duggar shared some very exciting news.

Fans of 19 Kids and Counting have wondered ever since Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald tied the knot back in November, when they might announce that they, too, are expecting a little one.

That’s not what Jessa Duggar announced this time, however.

    Sorry, fans.

Jessa’s announcement was still an exciting one. She shared via Instagram that 18-year-old brother Josiah–whom the family refers to as Si–is now officially courting. She included a photo of Si and his pretty girlfriend, Marjorie Jackson, as part of the announcement.

“Another Duggar is courting! Congrats to my bro Si and his girlfriend Marjorie! @SiDuggar,” she captioned the photo.

A photo posted by Jessa Seewald (@jessaseewald) on

Does this mean Josiah Duggar–Si–will be the next member of the 19 Kids and Counting family to tie the knot? Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are used to having weddings in the family. In addition to Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald’s November nuptials, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard got hitched just last June.

So what is this courtship that Si and Marjorie have entered? Jim Bob Duggar explained what it is all about on an episode of 19 Kids and Counting some months ago.

“As far as our kids dating, we believe a lot of times if you’re alone with the person, it can create desires that can kind of get stirred up, and you don’t have any accountability, and [that] can kind of lead to some hanky-panky,” the 19 Kids and Counting patriarch explained. “Courtship is really getting to know each other for the purpose of possibly getting engaged and getting married.”

Congratulations to Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson on their courtship.

Do you hope, however, that the next time Jessa Duggar makes a big announcement that it’s about a baby?

  • Jessa Duggar Shares Her Wedding Day With Fans, Finally

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald got married several months ago, but they’re just now sharing their big day with fans of the Duggar family’s reality show, 19 Kids And Counting.

Duggar said she and Ben knew from the beginning that they wanted their vows to be special and personalized, so they wrote their own. Of course, with both husband and bride coming from large families, the audience was pretty big–nearly 1,000 people–so Jessa said she was more than a little nervous while standing on the altar.

“I was kind of afraid that I might be nervous reading the vows and get all my words jumbled up,” Jessa said.

Although the newlyweds allowed the show to document their relationship, they decided to keep their first kiss private and left the altar to share it behind closed doors. Jessa didn’t tell her parents about it beforehand, but dad Jim Bob said he thought it showed just how special their relationship was.

“I didn’t know until a couple of days before. They said we really wanted it to be an intimate kiss and we don’t really want to do it in front of everybody. That really highlighted how important it was that they waited.”

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar spent plenty of time with Jessa and Ben before they exchanged vows, giving them advice on how to communicate and keep the romance alive.

“Both of you’ll like the physical relationship, but [for] the guy [it] will be kind of like the main focus. But for a woman, communicating is the most important thing, and so taking time each day to communicate, that will mean the world to her,” Jim Bob said.

Jessa has had to share the spotlight with sister Jill, who gave birth to her first child the day after Easter. Jill and husband Derick shared photos of Israel right away on social media, giving their 19 Kids And Counting fans a first look while they were still in the hospital.

  • Josiah Duggar of ’19 Kids and Counting’ Joins Instagram, Goes A-Courtin’

Josiah Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting announced yesterday that he is courting a young lady, and now, it seems, Jill and Jessa Duggar’s little brother joined Instagram the day before the big announcement.

Now that his big sisters are married, it looks like Josiah — Si as he his lovingly known by family and friends — is next in line to go a-courtin’.

On Sunday, Josiah Duggar joined Instagram and on Monday he announced that the is dating — oh sorry, courting — 17-year-old Marjorie Jackson.

His first ever post on Instagram featured a photo of a bumper sticker that reads, “Evil thrives — when good people do nothing.” He added his debut hashtags, “#bumpersticker #dogood.”

His second was the big news about his young lady.

“I’m so excited to announce that I’m courting Marjorie Jackson! #19Kids @peoplemag @duggarfam,” he wrote.

Evil thrives — when good people do nothing. #bumpersticker #dogood

Sister Jessa Duggar, 22, also announced her brother’s good news on her own Instagram page.

“Another Duggar is courting! Congrats to my bro Si and his girlfriend Marjorie!” Jessa captioned a photo of the young couple.

This could be serious, folks. Courtship is a whole lot different from dating. Young people in a courtship are getting to know one another with one, single purpose — marriage. The young loves will not ever meet with chaperones present. They will be allowed to hug, but, like Josiah Duggar’s sisters, there is no kissing until the wedding day.

According to E! Online, Josiah Duggar and his girl met when Josiah took Spanish lessons from her mother, Analucia.

Ironically, the courtship began on the day Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar welcomed their first child.

“It’s been going very well,” Josiah told E!. “I met Marjorie a few years ago, when I was taking Spanish lessons at her house and I was very impressed with the way she was with her siblings and her love for the Lord.”

  • ’19 Kids and Counting:’ Meet Josiah Duggar’s Courting Partner Marjorie Jackson

19 Kids and Counting star Josiah Duggar entered into a courtship with a young lady named Marjorie Jackson on the same day big sister Jill Duggar gave birth to Israel David Dillard.

In the 19 Kids and Counting family, parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have implemented the notion of courting over dating. Courting is designed to determine if a girlfriend or boyfriend is a suitable life partner–much in the way Amish families implement the form of dating. Since the Duggar family members are devout Christians, it’s no surprise that Marjorie Jackson comes from a strict Christian family as well.

At 17 years old, Marjorie is one year younger than Josiah Duggar. Her family has known the Duggar family for several years. Marjorie and Josiah met while he was taking Spanish lessons at her family’s house. She caught Josiah’s eye during a mission trip to El Salvador this past December.

Marjorie Jackson is the oldest of five daughters. Her sisters are 15, eight, five, and two years old.

The 19 Kids and Counting family will gain a very talented member, should Josiah and Marjorie’s courtship lead to marriage. She is bilingual in English and Spanish because of her mother Analucia’s heritage. Marjorie is also an accomplished pianist and actress and has even written a book that encourages young ladies to read the Bible.

As she nears the end of high school, Marjorie has also been taking college-level graphic design classes. Her dad Greg is a graphic designer.

“I really appreciate the Duggar family,” Marjorie said in a recent interview. “I respect and admire them. I will just take this one step at a time.”

Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson will share a special message with 19 Kids and Counting fans on tonight’s (Tuesday, April 14th) episode of the show.

Will you be tuning in to see what the newly courting couple has to say?

  • ’19 Kids and Counting:’ A Duggar Sibling Begins Courtship on Day Jill Duggar’s Baby Was Born

The 19 Kids and Counting family has another child who has moved one step closer to walking down that proverbial aisle. The Duggar family has a hard and fast rule about dating. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar don’t allow their kids to do it. Instead, they enter into a courtship, with the intent of the relationship set on eventual marriage.

So which member of the 19 Kids and Counting family is courting now?

It’s 18-year-old Josiah Duggar. He and 17-year-old Marjorie Jackson began courting officially on April 6th. That’s the same day Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard welcomed baby Israel David Dillard into the 19 Kids and Counting family.

Josiah and Marjorie met and became good friends while he took Spanish lessons from her mom. As is expected with all of the Duggar siblings, Josiah is dating a very devout Christian.

“It’s been going very well,” Josiah said during a recent interview with People magazine. “I met Marjorie a few years ago, when I was taking Spanish lessons at her house and I was very impressed with the way she was with her siblings and her love for the Lord.”

Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson went on a mission trip to El Salvador in December. Josiah also works for the construction company owned by Marjorie’s dad.

“She really caught my eye,” Josiah says of Marjorie on that mission trip. “That is really where I noticed her.”

Marjorie, who is one of five daughters, says she has liked the 19 Kids and Counting family member for quite some time.

“I met him at Spanish class a few years back,” she told People. “For me it was an immediate thing, I have always admired him and his family.”

How much longer do you expect it might be before Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson announce their engagement? That’s typically how it goes in the 19 Kids and Counting family. Courtship is designed to prove compatibility–for marriage.

Will Josiah Duggar’s engagement be the next big event in the 19 Kids and Counting family? Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s baby was the big excitement for the past few months, and many expect to hear any time that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are expecting their first baby.

  • ’19 Kids and Counting:’ Why Didn’t Jill Duggar Deliver Israel David Dillard at Home As Planned?

19 Kids and Counting stars Jill Duggar Dillard and hubby Derick Dillard had long planned for a home birth to welcome their baby boy who was born on Monday. So why was Israel David Dillard born in a hospital instead of at home?

“Not everything went as expected,” Jill Duggar said in a video announcing Israel’s birth.

Jill added that she used the Bible to help prepare herself for the delivery.

“We were reminded of the verse that the Bible talks about where man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. We were encouraged by that,” she said.

The 19 Kids and Counting star is studying to become a midwife, so she obviously knew if an issue arose that couldn’t be tended to at home, that going to the hospital was best for her and their baby.

What's as precious as a sweet new baby!? Thank you so much for all of your prayers for Jill and baby Israel and for all…

The 19 Kids and Counting family has been instrumental in helping Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard settle in at home with their blessed bundle of joy. Between mom Michelle Duggar and dad Jim Bob Duggar, as well as several of the 19 Kids and Counting siblings who are willing to lend a hand–Jill and Derick’s transition into parenthood will no doubt be a smooth one.

  • Jill Duggar: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Family Pitches in to Help With New Baby

Jill Duggar gave birth to baby Israel David Dillard on Monday night, and since coming home from the hospital has been the recipient of lots of help from the 19 Kids and Counting family.

“We are so blessed to have such a great family and such great support here at the hospital with the doctors and the nursing staff,” Jill Duggar Dillard said during an interview with People magazine. “My sisters and my mom and Derick’s mom have all been in to help!”

Not everyone in the family has met Israel yet, but “everyone is over the moon and so excited about him being born,” Jill said.

Proud dad Derick Dillard had an appointment to get braces put on his teeth this week, so grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar stepped up to the plate. Jim Bob Duggar drove Derick to his appointment while Michelle stayed with Jill and the baby.

Joy-Anna Duggar, who is 17, spent a night at the hospital with Jill following the baby’s birth. She and Jason, who is 14, and Jennifer, who is seven, are part of a three-person buddy team Jill and Derick set up within the family to help welcome their son into the fold.

How wonderful that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have so much help from their 19 Kids and Counting family–as well as from Derick’s mom–since Israel David Duggar was born. Surely that will continue for a long time to come. Such is the way of life in the 19 Kids and Counting family.

Jill Duggar will surely one day repay the favor–perhaps when sister Jessa Duggar, who tied the knot in November, has her first child.

  • ’19 Kids and Counting:’ Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar on Jill Duggar’s New Baby,

19 Kids and Counting ecstatic grandparents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, blogged about the birth of Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s baby, Israel David Dillard, shortly after his birth late on Monday night. This is the fourth grandchild for the parents of 19.

“Yeah!!! Our sweet new grandson, Israel David Dillard is here. We love him so much already and we love his name!” Michelle and Jim Bob wrote on the Duggar Family Blog on Tuesday, the same day Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard announced the arrival of their ‘Baby Dilly.’ “Our Jill is doing wonderful and Derick seems to have a permanent smile on his face now! Israel is precious and his arrival is just another reminder of how very precious life is and how every child is a gift from God. We are happy grandparents!”

Jill Duggar had plans for a home birth, with Michelle Duggar and Derick Dillard’s mom present for support. She was 13 days overdue when she finally went into labor. It’s uncertain yet if that’s the reason Israel was born in a hospital instead of at home, or if complications arose once Jill went into active labor. That will no doubt be spelled out for fans on May 5th when TLC airs a special episode of 19 Kids and Counting that will detail Jill’s labor and delivery.

So what’s with the clothing both Derick Dillad and baby Israel are wearing in the video birth announcement? They are typical souvenirs purchased by tourists when visiting Israel. Baby Israel is wearing a onesie that bears the words “I Israel” and his dad is wearing a T-shirt with “Israel Defense Forces” written on it in English and Hebrew. The entire Duggar family is very supportive of the country of Israel. Derick even bought Jill Duggar’s engagement ring there. The entire 19 Kids and Counting family traveled to Israel once, and their trip was featured on the show.

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar will have a fifth grandchild in the coming months. Son Josh Duggar and his wife Anna have three children already, and are expecting their fourth. Israel David Duggar won’t be the youngest Duggar family grandchild for long. That doesn’t mean these next days and weeks won’t be cherished times, however as Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard prepare to take their precious bundle of joy home and start heir new life as a family–an extension of the very large 19 Kids and Counting family.

Jill and Derick have said they want a large family. Might they one day have as many as the 19 Kids and Counting clan?

  • 19 Kids and Counting: Jill Duggar And Derick Dillard Welcome Their First Child

The Duggar family just keeps getting bigger. Aside from 19 kids, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also have a new grandson.

Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard welcomed their first child, Israel David Dillard late Monday night. It was a long wait for the couple as baby Israel was born more than 2 weeks past his due date. But everything ended well as the new mom and her baby are both doing well.

While the new parents have already announced the happy news, Tuesday’s episode of 19 Kids and Counting showed how the Dillard’s prepared for the birth. The couple initially planned to have a home birth and the episode showed them attending weekly birthing classes.

The episode also showed the Dillard’s finally finding out the gender of their baby and having a family “gender reveal” party.

At the party, the younger Duggar kids hit a question mark-shaped piñata until it broke open and scattered blue-colored candies.

On a poignant note, Derick Dillard’s mom Cathy wasn’t able to join the festivities as she was undergoing cancer treatment in Omaha. But receiving the happy news about her first grandchild gave the brave mother “all the more motivation to get home.”

The recent episode also showed the family doing some re-organization of their own.

Fans know that every child in the household is assigned a “designation” – a set of chores that they’re charged to do. But with the new baby, as well as Jessa leaving the family home after getting married, changes have to be made.

17-year-old Joy Anna is now assigned as the official delegator of chores, and promptly drew flak from her siblings when she assigned 5-year-old Josie to collect the laundry every day. It’s a good thing she has lots of older brothers and sisters who’ll help her with it.

Like any other family, the Duggars are certainly experiencing big changes and additions in their household. It won’t come as a surprise to fans if the show’s name will be changed to 19 Kids, 3 Grandkids and Counting.

  • Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard: The Hidden Meaning Behind Son Israel David Dillard’s Name

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard welcomed son Israel David Dillard into their lives on Monday night. Israel is the fourth grandchild of 19 Kids and Counting patriarch and matriarch Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

Since the Duggar family is so devoutly religious, most people believe that’s the reason behind Jill Duggar and her hubby choosing that name for their son. That is true–partly, anyway. There is also a hidden meaning that not everyone knows.

Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar first met one another online. Derick was doing mission work in several places around the world as they began their online courtship. It seemed Derick knew right away, however, that Jill Duggar was the woman for him. While he was in Israel, he bought her an engagement ring–without having met her in person yet.

“It’s just a white gold band with a solitaire diamond: a round stone, .63 carats,” Derick told ABC News prior to proposing to Jill Duggar. “Jill really likes Israel and I’d always wanted to go to the holy land. [When I was there] I had it in my head that I wanted to get an engagement ring pretty soon but I had no idea it would work out [this] perfectly!”

Shortly thereafter, Derick returned to Arkansas, where the 19 Kids and Counting family resides. He met Jill in person–and her family–and the rest, as they say, is history. The two wed in June of 2014, and Jill Duggar soon became pregnant with baby Israel who, up until his birth late Monday night, was referred to as ‘Baby Dilly.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard do admit that the religious meaning behind their son’s name also played a role in their choice. In Hebrew, ‘Israel’ means “may God prevail.”

Some day little Israel David Dillard will no doubt be told the story about the meaning behind his name. Fans can see the highlights of Israel’s birth, including Jill Duggar in labor and winding up in the hospital for what had been planned as a home birth, on a special episode of 19 Kids and Counting on May 5th. The TLC cameras were present for at least a portion of the big event.

  • “19 Kids And Counting”: Jim Bob And Michelle Dedicate Blog Post To New Baby

19 Kids And Counting may have to undergo a name change!

The popular TLC reality show focusing on Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar has seen ups and downs for the family, but the new additions don’t seem to stop. Josh, the oldest Duggar child, already has three children with wife Anna and they are expecting their fourth, while Jill Duggar and new husband Derick have just welcomed their first child, Israel David.

The couple made the announcement soon after baby Israel came into the world, sharing a video with their fans on Facebook that showed the new family sharing a hospital bed. Jill was originally supposed to have a home birth, but because the baby was two weeks late, she had a bit more of a modern delivery.

Jim Bob and Michelle wrote about the new baby on their blog, saying they love everything about him, including his very Biblical name. Israel was born just one day after Easter.

“Yeah!!! Our sweet new grandson, Israel David Dillard is here. We love him so much already and we love his name! Our Jill is doing wonderful and Derick seems to have a permanent smile on his face now! Israel is precious and his arrival is just another reminder of how very precious life is and how every child is a gift from God. We are happy grandparents!” they wrote on Tuesday.

Jill and Derick announced they were expecting just 61 days after their wedding, saying how thrilled they were when they found out they were going to be parents.

“We knew that we weren’t going to prevent having children, so when we found out we were expecting within our first month of marriage, we were thrilled!” Jill said.
