  • Jill Duggar Book About Forgiving Her Sibling: Did She Mean Molesting?

In 2014, the Duggar sisters — Jill, Jinger, Jessa, and Jana Duggar — write a book called Growing Up Duggar: It’s All About Relationships.

In the book, the sisters talk about their beliefs and how they live their lives as part of the Duggar family. They say that their life is all about relationships. They break these down into six areas: self, parents, siblings, friends, boys, God.

In the light of the recent scandal surrounding Josh Duggar, brother to the Jill Duggar and the other sisters who wrote the book, a look at what they have to say about siblings is potentially enlightening.

In the book, they talk about their family’s Buddy system, how the siblings handle conflict, and how the loss of little Jubilee (their sister) affected their relationships with each other.

Within that section, though, they talk particularly about the need to forgive their siblings.

“Even though we may not feel like forgiving someone, we must choose to forgive every person who offends us and do it before they ask — and regardless if they ever do ask. The choice to forgive doesn’t always free the other person from the consequences of his or her wrong actions, but it frees the forgiver of negative feelings towards the offender. And if we still have feelings of bitterness, the Bible says it’s not only to forgive the other person, but also to go a step further and look for ways to bless him or her.”

Some are asking: Might Jill Duggar or any of these sisters have had Josh Duggar’s instances of molestation in mind when they wrote this?

  • Jessa Duggar: Old Interview About Kissing Advice from Sexual Molester Josh Duggar Surfaces

Jessa Duggar may very be one of big brother Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation victims. The eldest of the 19 Kids and Counting siblings, word recently emerged about him sexually molesting five underage girls when he was a teenager–four of whom are his sisters. Since there were only five girls in the Duggar family during the years Josh was sexually abusing his sisters, it stands to reason that his victims include Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, and Jinger Duggar.

Now an old Cosmopolitan article has resurfaced, in which Jessa Duggar talks getting kissing advice from Josh Duggar–the brother who reportedly “fondled their breasts and vaginas while they were sleeping.”

Can this situation get any more disturbing?

It was a year ago March when Cosmo interviewed Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger Duggar. They talked about their virginity and kissing–and even accidentally trying alcohol. Here’s the kissing excerpt:

    So you’ve never kissed anyone?
Jessa Duggar: Nope — well, I mean my brothers! I think all of us girls have really purposed to save our first kiss for our wedding day.

Have you ever been curious about what it’s like?
Jessa Duggar: I can’t say I haven’t been, but it’s the anticipation, the suspense! It’s like Christmas morning, you know? Open this special package so it’ll be fun!

Are you going to ask anyone for advice?
Jessa Duggar: I’m sure I’ll be getting advice from people who are good kissers!

    Like who?
Jessa Duggar: My parents are pretty good kissers! They very much like to show their kiss in public places, so they kiss in front of us all the time. [And I’d ask] my oldest brother. He’s been married for five years. And friends and people around me who I look up to. But I don’t think it’s too hard to figure out though.

In light of what you now know about Josh Duggar–combined with the fact that Jessa Duggar was likely one of his victims–what do you make of this notion of her asking him for kissing advice?

Jessa Duggar Seewald and sister Jill Duggar Dillard are under consideration for a 19 Kids and Counting spinoff to be called 2 Brides and Their Grooms. An attempt on behalf of TLC to salvage some of the Duggar family’s reputation, the spinoff would get rid of Josh Duggar and only use Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar sporadically. There is clearly some damage control to do on their behalf, too, for the way they initially handled the Josh Duggar molestation scandal.

With interviews like this Cosmo kissing advice circulating, can TLC even make a spinoff with the Duggar family work? Will advertisers buy into a family with such uncomfortable practices?

  • Michelle Duggar, Husband: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Couple Parodied by ‘Funny or Die’ in Wake of Josh Duggar Sexual Molestation Scandal

Michelle Duggar and her husband Jim Bob are the subjects of a new Funny or Die parody. The 19 Kids and Counting couple has faced intense scrutiny in light of their son, Josh Duggar, having molested five underage females–four of whom are his own sisters–several years ago.

In the parody, two comedians–dressed as Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar–explain to a faux In Touch magazine about the Josh Duggar scandal.

“With more kids than an NBA team, we were bound to have one troubled kid,” Greg David Jones says in his role as Jim Bob Duggar, replete with a polo shirt and side part.

The parody’s writer and director, Erin Gibson, even fluffed up her bangs in her effort to portray Michelle Duggar.

“When Josh was a teenager, he made a mistake,” Gibson as Michelle Duggar claims. “He mistaked two girls on their ‘tutus.’”

“That’s what we call breasts,” Jones as Jim Bob clarifies.

“Here’s the thing, some other girls did come forward, and some of them were our daughters. But honestly, if you asked me which one, I don’t know, the brunette with the curly hair?” faux Michelle Duggar says, addressing rumors that Josh’s younger sisters are among his victims. “We did the right thing and immediately waited three years before we called the authorities.”

The Funny or Die comedians also mocked the official statement the 19 Kids and Counting parents issued when word of Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation scandal hit the news a week ago.

“It has been terrible for us and Josh, but those are the only three people affected by these mistakes,” Gibson concludes.

While nothing about the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal is funny, this parody is hilarious. Fortunately the Funny or Die writers and actors didn’t step too far over the line and include characters to portray Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, and Jinger Duggar–the four sisters Josh Duggar purportedly sexually molested.

What’s your take on the Funny or Die parody featuring actors playing Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar?

  • Jessa Duggar to Star With Jill Duggar in ’19 Kids and Counting’ Spinoff, ‘2 Brides and Their Grooms?’

Jessa Duggar has been at the center of her brother–Josh’s Duggar’s–sexual molestation scandal, with many believing she may have been among the four sisters he sexually molested several years ago. The same goes for Jill Duggar.

Jill and Jessa Duggar have been the recent mainstays of the family’s reality show, 19 Kids and Counting. In light of the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal, TLC is scrambling to decide what they should do regarding the Duggar family and keeping the show on the air. Major advertisers, including Payless Shoe Source, General Mills, and Choice Hotels International have already pulled their advertising. David’s Bridal and CVS are the latest to withdraw.

A recent People magazine report says TLC is actually considering a 19 Kids and Counting spinoff. 2 Brides and Their Husbands would star Jill and Jessa Duggar, as well as their husbands, Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald, respectively.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald tied the knot back in November. Their wedding only recently aired on 19 Kids and Counting, and drew in a large number of viewers. Jessa Duggar is expecting a baby on November 1st–her one-year wedding anniversary.

Jill Duggar’s wedding to Derick Dillard last June was a huge TLC event, but not as big as the TLC 19 Kids and Counting special that aired before Mother’s Day, during which Jill Duggar gave birth to the couple’s first child, Israel David Dillard. That special pulled in 3.6 million viewers.

Yes, Jill and Jessa Duggar are the big draws for 19 Kids and Counting, and TLC is hoping they can support a reality show all their own.

But will this be too little, too late? Even if Josh Duggar–and maybe even Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar–are omitted from a 19 Kids and Counting spinoff, do Jill and Jessa Duggar have enough pull to make viewers forget what the family hid from their fans? Not only are people up in arms over what Josh Duggar did, they are appalled at how Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar handled the entire situation.

Would you give the Duggar family another shot if Jill and Jessa Duggar wind up starring in a 19 Kids and Counting spinoff?

Do you think 2 Brides and Their Husbands would get the backing of some of these advertisers who have already abandoned the family’s original show?

  • Jill Duggar, Jessa Duggar to Star in ’19 Kids and Counting’ Spinoff? TLC Considering ‘2 Brides and Their Grooms’

Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar–along with husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald–might not be leaving TLC after all. In light of the recent Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal, TLC is in full-blown panic mode, trying to keep at least some of the 19 Kids and Counting family on TV, while omitting Josh Duggar for good.

One way they are thinking of pulling this off is via a 19 Kids and Counting spinoff. 2 Brides and Their Grooms will–if it comes to fruition–star Jill Duggar Dillard and husband Derick, along with Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben.

According to People magazine, Jill Duggar, her wedding, and the birth of baby Israel were big sellers for TLC. Jessa Duggar’s wedding drew huge numbers, too.

“The show had begun to focus more and more on the next generation of Duggars, anyway–mainly Jill and Jessa and their marriages and babies,” a source tells People. “That’s when the show got its highest ratings.”

The two-hour special that documented Jill Duggar’s dramatic, 70-hour delivery of her baby boy pulled in over 3.6 million viewers. Jessa Duggar is expecting her first baby on November 1st–one year from the day she married Ben Seewald.

Advertisers are already pulling out of 19 Kids and Counting, so TLC needs to make a decision soon. Payless Shoe Source, General Mills, and Choice Hotels International have already withdrawn their advertising.

Would you watch a show starring Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald if 2 Brides and Their Husbands comes to TLC?

People magazine contacted TLC for comment, but received no reply.

  • Jill Duggar, Jessa Duggar and Husbands to Star in TLC’s ’19 Kids and Counting’ Spinoff, ‘2 Brides and Their Grooms?’

Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, and their husbands might star in a 19 Kids and Counting spinoff. That will allow TLC to keep the Duggar family on the air while getting rid of Josh Duggar. It will also serve to concentrate less on Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who are both in the hot seat for the way they handled their eldest son’s sexual molestation scandal.

As most everyone knows by now, Josh Duggar has admitted to sexually molesting five underage females when he was a teenager. It is presumed that Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald, along with Jinger and Jana Duggar, were the sisters he abused.

People magazine reports that the 19 Kids and Counting spinoff would likely be called 2 Brides and Their Grooms.

“The show had begun to focus more and more on the next generation of Duggars, anyway–mainly Jill and Jessa and their marriages and babies,” a source tells People. “That’s when the show got its highest ratings.”

It’s been very clear for quite some time now that Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald are the mainstays of 19 Kids and Counting. Along with husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald, respectively, and Derick and Jill’s new baby, Israel David Dillard, they make the whole show. The two-hour special that documented Jill’s dramatic, 70-hour delivery of her baby pulled in over 3.6 million viewers. Jessa Duggar is expecting her first baby on November 1st–one year from the day she married Ben Seewald.

It’s clear that TLC is scrambling to keep the Duggar family on TV while not promoting a sex offender.

Advertisers are already pulling out of 19 Kids and Counting, so TLC needs to make a decision soon.

Would you watch a show starring Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald if 2 Brides and Their Husbands comes to fruition?

People magazine contacted TLC for comment, but received no reply.

  • Duggar Family: Will They Survive Josh Duggar’s Sexual Molestation Admission Intact?

Will the Duggar family of 19 Kids and Counting fame survive the admission of eldest son Josh Duggar–he sexually molested five underage girls including four of his own sisters–intact?

The Duggar family patriarch and matriarch–Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar–covered up for their son for many years. In a statement they made last week, a day after the sexual molestation scandal broke, they indicate they dealt with Josh’s actions in the way they saw fit.

“Back 12 years ago our family went through one of the most difficult times of our lives,” their Duggar family statement reads. “When Josh was a young teenager, he made some very bad mistakes, and we were shocked. We had tried to teach him right from wrong. That dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before.”

“Even though we would never choose to go through something so terrible, each one of our family members drew closer to God. We pray that as people watch our lives they see that we are not a perfect family. We have challenges and struggles every day. It is one of the reasons we treasure our faith so much because God’s kindness and goodness and forgiveness are extended to us–even though we are so undeserving. We hope somehow the story of our journey–the good times and the difficult times–cause you to see the kindness of God and learn that He can bring you through anything,” Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s statement continued.

The Duggar family stands to lose their TV show, 19 Kids and Counting, in the wake of this admission. Advertisers have already pulled out of the TLC show.

The thing that could really bring the Duggar family to their knees (both literally and figuratively) is the fact that Josh Duggar molested four of his own sisters–presumably Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, and Jinger Duggar.

At some point those young women–all are between the ages of 25 and 21 now–will realize they never truly healed from their brother’s actions. Will they blame themselves, their brother, or their parents when that happens?

Do you think the Duggar family can survive this whole sexual molestation ordeal?

  • Jinger Duggar: Will She Leave the ’19 Kids and Counting’ Fold Now That Everyone Knows About Josh Duggar?

Jinger Duggar has made it no secret she longs to live in a big city. In fact, back in 2012 she expressed her dream during an episode of 19 Kids and Counting.

Mom Michelle Duggar quickly swooped in, however, and put new words in Jinger Duggar’s mouth. She explained to the TLC cameras that Jinger didn’t want to move away, she simply wanted to live ’15 minutes from a Walmart.’ At the time, she and Jim Bob Duggar actually suggested Jinger go stay with brother Josh Duggar instead.

Now that word of Josh Duggar’s sexual molestations have hit the media (the family, of course, new about them for more than a decade), some wonder if Jinger Duggar might once again try to leave the 19 Kids and Counting fold. Now 21, she may very well have been one of her brother’s victims.

Twitter fans are urging Jinger Duggar to get out of the 19 Kids and Counting household.

Now a rumor has hit the media, indicating Josh Duggar and his family might be moving back to Arkansas in a home they bought earlier in 2015.

How must this make Jinger Duggar–or Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard, and Jessa Duggar Seewald–feel? They are all purportedly victims of Josh Duggar’s predatory hands.

Yes, it’s probably time for Jinger Duggar to try out the big city–or even a new small town. Preferably she can find one that’s far away from wherever Josh Duggar winds up living.

At 21, Jinger Duggar shouldn’t worry about her brother’s actions. She should be making a new and exciting life for herself.

  • Anna Duggar, Husband Josh Duggar Take Down Website in Wake of Sexual Molestation Scandal

Anna Duggar, wife of Josh Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting fame, is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, and due to have the baby in July. Since word of her husband’s sexual molestation of five underage females–four of whom are his own sisters–life likely hasn’t been smooth sailing for the mom-to-be.

Already the mother of three children, it’s safe to say that Anna Duggar has her hands full right now.

Despite Josh Duggar’s admission of wrongdoing, however, Anna Duggar is standing by her man. The couple is presently without income, as Josh Duggar resigned from his position with the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. where the family lives.

Now Josh and Anna Duggar have also closed down their official website.

Are the two getting ready to pack up their kids and head home to Arkansas? They reportedly purchased a home near the 19 Kids and Counting home earlier this year. Some believe they knew full well that Josh Duggar’s cover was about to be blown.

While many are asking how Anna Duggar could have married Josh Duggar, knowing what he had done–especially to his own sisters, possibly Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, and Jinger Duggar–it’s surely due in part to the way she was raised.

Josh divulged his dirty little secrets to both Anna Duggar and her parents two years before they wed. If Anna Duggar grew up in a household where her parents deemed it was okay to marry a child molester, then it’s easy to see why she’s sticking by Josh.

There are surely more victims in the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal than Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, Jinger Duggar, and the fifth non-family member that he sexually molested.

Do you believe in some ways Anna Duggar is a victim of Josh’s past actions, too–simply by being married to him?

  • Jessa Duggar: Did Hubby Ben Seewald Slam ’19 Kids and Counting’ Parents in Wake of Josh Duggar Sexual Molestation Scandal?

Jessa Duggar has been inadvertently thrown into the middle of the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal. Now some are wondering if her husband, Ben Seewald, threw a bit of a diss in the direction of the leaders of the 19 Kids and Counting family–Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

So far it seems like the Duggar family knew the whistle was about to be blown on Josh Duggar. His wife, Anna Duggar, posted a cryptic message on Instagram about forgiveness, and now a post from Ben Seewald has come to the attention of fans. It stands to reason if Anna Duggar knew Josh Duggar’s cover was about to be blown, that Jessa Duggar and her husband knew it, too. In fact, many speculate Jessa Duggar was likely among Josh’s sexual abuse victims.

It was in a message about his parents–Michael and Guinn Seewald–that Ben Seewald seemingly knew what was coming down, and maybe threw a little shade at Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

“A little late in posting, but I had a wonderful Mother’s day with my Mom and wife! I want to give a shout out to my Mom and Dad. They’ve always sought to please God in raising me and my siblings. They’ve been loving, caring, and provided us with a good home and many happy memories. While many parents are abusing their children, earning the condemnation of God, my parents have always been protective of us and by God’s grace have made our home a safe haven. They loved us enough to have standards, rooted in Scripture, and stick by them even when it would’ve been easier for them just to let us do whatever we wanted to. They loved us too much for that. That’s a lot to say in this culture where parents who care enough to set standards for their kids are mocked and dishonored and where the ones who yield to their rebellious children in compromise are praised as “loving”. I realize they’re not perfect. No parents are. Yet over the years, as their oldest, I’ve seen them grow and mature, humble themselves before God and us children and ask forgiveness when they’ve ever been in the wrong. Atop all of this, they’ve endeavored to pass on the greatest gift to us, the love of Jesus Christ. They’ve faithfully read His Word to us and told us of His grace. They’ve always brought us to church, to grow in the faith and have given me a vision for eternity, by the grace of God, so that my life wouldn’t be wasted, or my eternity damned. Their prayers, guidance, and companionship I cherish to this day,” he captioned the photo.

Here’s the message Anna Duggar posted in the days prior to Josh’s sexual molestation scandal hitting the media.

A photo posted by Anna Duggar (@annaduggar) on

It’s becoming abundantly clear that the 19 Kids and Counting family members knew this devastating information was about to hit national–even international–news. Josh and Anna Duggar even bought a home in Arkansas earlier this year. Will he and his family now return home to be even closer to his victims–including purported victims Jessa Duggar Seewald, Jill Duggar Dillard, Jana Duggar, and Jinger Duggar?

And do you think Ben Seewald–even though his parents support Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar during this scandal–was, perhaps even without realizing–his in-laws? Do note the part where he praised his parents about protecting him and his siblings.

Ben Seewald surely knows what Jessa Duggar may have experienced at the hands of Josh Duggar. And what husband can simply sit by without reacting to something like that?

  • Josh Duggar: TLC Thinking of Dropping the ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Following News of Sexual Molestations

Josh Duggar may be removed from 19 Kids and Counting, as TLC works to pick up the pieces following news of Josh’s sexual molestations–some targeting his own sisters–hit the media last week. Can 19 Kids and Counting survive sans Josh Duggar?

Of course it can. TLC already knows that two of Josh Duggar’s sisters–Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald–are presently the biggest draws to the show. Jill’s wedding to Derick Dillard and the birth of their baby, Israel David Dillard and Jessa’s wedding to Ben Seewald and her pregnancy are drawing in fans more than any other story lines in the show’s history. Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar–along with sisters Jana and Jinger Duggar–may have been among Josh Duggar’s victims.

There is still a very strong chance that TLC will completely cancel 19 Kids and Counting. Advertisers may not want to be associated with a program about a family that covered up sexual molestations. Josh Duggar didn’t get clinical counseling or treatment deemed acceptable by most modern standards. Instead many prayers were said and he did manual labor to atone for his sins. General Mills has already pulled its advertising in light of Josh Duggar’s actions.

E! News reports that Josh Duggar has cancelled speaking engagement for this week in Sandusky, Ohio at a Christian homeschooling conference. He and wife Anna Duggar have closed down their website. And Josh Duggar has resigned from his position with the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. where he lives with his wife and three children. Anna Duggar is expecting the couple’s fourth child.

Do you expect TLC will opt to simply air 19 Kids and Counting without Josh Duggar or will they wind up canceling the show for good?

How will the remainder of the Duggar family fare if their lucrative reality show ends?

  • Jill Duggar, Jessa Duggar: Will ’19 Kids and Counting’ Feature Them and Not Josh Duggar in Future Episodes?

Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar–purportedly two of Josh Duggar’s four sibling sexual molestation victims–might get the chance to continue starring in 19 Kids and Counting despite the very public revelation of their brother’s crimes.

TMZ reported a few days after word broke of Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation scandal that TLC is considering a number of options regarding the family’s reality show. One is to cancel 19 Kids and Counting for good. Another is to remove Josh Duggar from the lineup and concentrate on Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald, and siblings, Jinger Duggar, John-David and Jana Duggar, Jinger Duggar, and more.

TMZ goes on to report that Josh Duggar is actually quite insignificant where the show is concerned. They write that the weddings of Jill Duggar to Derick Dillard, Jessa Duggar’s marriage to Ben Seewald, and Jill Duggar Dillard recently giving birth to baby Israel David Duggar are the recent highlights of the show.

In other words, Jessa and Jill Duggar sell. Josh Duggar does not.

This could work one of two ways for the 19 Kids and Counting siblings left at home. Recent word of Jinger Duggar having wanted to break free of the Duggar household indicates that not all is as happy as it seems behind the Duggar family’s closed doors. She and Jana Duggar are still living at home because that is how Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have raised them. Young women don’t leave home until they are married–even young women who have been sexually molested as children by their big brother. If the show goes on, Jinger and Jana will certainly have to remain in the Duggar household.

Do you think 19 Kids and Counting will survive in light of the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal, despite any changes TLC might make?

Do you think both Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald–as well as Jana and Jinger Duggar–should make statements about what purportedly happened to them at the hands of their brother–in order for the show to survive?

Would Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar ever consider allowing such statements to be made?

  • Jana Duggar, John David Duggar Chosen by Josh Duggar for Uncomfortable Date, Jokes About Incest

Jana Duggar and her twin brother John David, of 19 Kids and Counting fame, were chosen by older brother Josh Duggar–now prominent in the media for having sexually molested several minor females, including four of his sisters–to ‘chaperone’ him and then-fiancee Anna on a movie date. An old clip of this event during an episode of 19 Kids and Counting has resurfaced, and might make readers eerily uncomfortable in the wake of his sexual molestation scandal.

It seems Jinger Duggar was initially chosen to serve as chaperone. In the 19 Kids and Counting world, those who are courting aren’t allowed to date without a chaperone–often a sibling. The movie that Josh Duggar and Anna wanted to see required its viewers to be older than Jana Duggar was at that time.

That’s when Josh and Anna chose John David and Jana Duggar to come along instead, and he made a very uncomfortable comment that hinted at incest.

“We chose Jana and John David–we thought why not, have a double date,” Josh Duggar is seen saying to the camera, looking very proud of himself. The video clip then cuts to what appears to be him having a laugh with producers of the show.

“We are from Arkansas, no?” he adds, with a big smile.

It is entirely possible that Jana Duggar and even younger sister Jinger Duggar are among the sisters Josh Duggar sexually molested when he was a teenager. Some have speculated that Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald may be among his victims, too, given the ages they were when he committed the crimes.

Surely clips and sound bites from past episodes of 19 Kids and Counting are bound to surface now that Josh Duggar is in the spotlight for such a negative reason, but this one sort of takes the cake. Filmed in 2008–not that long after Josh was found out and supposedly ‘turned in’ by his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, this is just a little too close for comfort for most people.

If Jana Duggar and her sisters were Josh Duggar’s victims, how do you suppose they felt at the time he made this comment?

  • Jill Duggar, Jessa Duggar Play on Social Media in Wake of Josh Duggar Sexual Molestation Scandal

Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting fame haven’t made statements in the wake of the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal that hit the media late this week, and resulted in TLC pulling the family’s reality show from the air.

Instead the sisters have played on social media–acting as if they haven’t a care in the world.

Both married now, Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Dillard may very well have been among Josh Duggar’s victims. He reportedly sexually molested four of his own siblings as well as one non-related minor female.

Older sister Jana Duggar might have been another of Josh Duggar’s victims, along with younger sister Jinger Duggar. It’s likely no one will ever know for sure, however, as the police report didn’t name Josh Duggar’s victims because of their ages.

Maybe Jill Duggar and sister Jessa were trying to put on a united front for the 19 Kids and Counting family, and to lend an air of normalcy to the chaos that has taken over their lives.

On Thursday, Jill took to Instagram, sharing a photo of herself with Jessa Duggar Seewald.

“So glad to spend the day with my sista! @jessaseewald #sisters,” she captioned the shot.

A photo posted by Jill Dillard (@jillmdillard) on

That same day, Jessa Duggar shared a photo on her Instagram account of younger sister Joy Duggar.

“Oh, the many random sibling selfies I find on my phone… This time from Joy!” she captioned the picture.

A photo posted by Jessa Seewald (@jessaseewald) on

TMZ issued an interesting report in light of the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal. They indicate that TLC might simply fire Josh Duggar and allow the rest of the family to go on with 19 Kids and Counting. This means guaranteed jobs for Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald, but it won’t satisfy those who believe Josh Duggar isn’t the only one to blame. Many feel Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are guilty, too, of not only allowing Josh on their TV show, but also of having him continue to live among the remainder of his siblings for so many years after he molested some of them.

Jessa Duggar and sister Jana Duggar are midwives, so they will no doubt have work even if they don’t star on 19 Kids and Counting. Jill Duggar might not be so lucky.

Could the Duggar family survive in any format on TV following this outrageous lie of omission?

What do you se in the 19 Kids and Counting family’s future?

  • Jessa, Jinger, Jill, Jana Duggar May Go On with 19 Kids without Josh

Jessa Dugger — was she one of the Duggar sisters who were molested by brother Josh? What about Jinger, Jill and Jana Duggar? All four of them fall within the age range that would make that possible. And according to reports, four of the five girls that Josh Duggar molested were his sisters.

And what might become of the Duggar sisters if their 19 Kids and Counting television show gets canceled? Is it fair that the actions of Josh Duggar in his youth may now put the fortunes and reputation of his family at risk?

These and many other questions are on the minds of both fans and haters of the 19 Kids and Counting show. There is a sense of fairness and justice that drives opinions on both sides of the conversation about the scandal surrounding the Duggar family the past few days.

Josh Duggar admitted in a statement that he had “acted inexcusably” when he was a 14-year-old. His parents and his wife all characterize his actions as a “mistake.” Conservative friends and fans of the Duggars and their 19 Kids and Counting show say that Josh was young, he has grown, and he should not be demonized for his actions as a minor.

Others say that Josh himself as an individual is not the issue. It is that the Duggar family has and has used their position and celebrity to speak out about what things they disagree with morally. Michelle Duggar has characterized LGBT folks as “child predators.” Some feel that these people should not be put in a position where they are free to throw stones with as wide an audience as they have when they live in glass houses themselves.

So when news hit that TLC had pulled 19 Kids and Counting from its schedule, some claimed that was fair. But now TMZ reports that there is a possibility that the show can continue right on, but without Josh.

“Connected industry sources tell TMZ, TLC is considering a number of options, weighing the pros and cons. One is to cancel the show outright, the other is to just go full steam ahead, but there is real talk about continuing without Josh.”

“Our sources say there’s a strong sense axing Josh would not materially hurt the show. We’re told TLC has done research and it shows the daughters have become the driving force. The weddings of Jill and Jessa were ratings successes, as was the birth of Jill’s baby.”

If Jessa, Jinger, Jill, and Jana can continue on with the show without brother Josh, might that be a compromise that those calling for the shows cancellation can live with?

This will be the sixth grandchild for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Son Josh Duggar and his wife Anna have three children, with a fourth on the way. It’s abundantly clear that any child born of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald is destined to be beautiful. They are one fantastic looking couple.

Ben Seewald undoubtedly had a wonderful birthday. Jessa Duggar’s message likely added to his birthday joy.

  • Josh Duggar, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Family Members Admit Molestations Occurred

Josh Duggar admits he was charged with molesting minors during his teens. His parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar say it’s true as well. A police report from back in 2005 hit the media yesterday, proving that the eldest of the 19 Kids and Counting siblings sexually assaulted his sisters–all minors at the time–as well as another female minor.

This means it’s quite likely that Jill Duggar Dillard, who recently had her first baby, and Jessa Duggar Seewald, who is expecting her first baby on November 1st, were among the sisters who were molested.

Josh Duggar gave a statement to People magazine on Thursday.

“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends,” Josh, 27, said in the statement. “I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life.”

Josh Duggar has resigned from his position at the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., where he lives with his wife, Anna Duggar, and their three children. They are expecting their fourth child.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the 19 Kids and Counting patriarch and matriarch–and Josh Duggar’s parents–issued a joint statement to People.

“Back 12 years ago our family went through one of the most difficult times of our lives,” their statement reads.

Anna Duggar says she supports Josh Duggar, claiming he confessed his “past teenage mistakes” two years before he proposed to her.

“I can imagine the shock many of you are going through reading this. I remember feeling that same shock,” she says. “When my family and I first visited the Duggar home, Josh shared his past teenage mistakes. I was surprised at his openness and humility and at the same time didn’t know why he was sharing it. For Josh, he wanted not just me but my parents to know who he really was–even every difficult past mistakes.”

Josh Duggar claims he is still living with regret over the sexual molestations to this day.

“I would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions,” he says. “I sought forgiveness from those I had wronged and asked Christ to forgive me and come into my life. In my life today, I am so very thankful for God’s grace, mercy and redemption.”

If Josh Duggar molested the older of the four Duggar daughters, that would mean Jana Duggar and Jinger Duggar were molested, in addition to Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald. Do you suppose they are living with regret over what their brother did all those years ago?

Might this disturbing revelation signify the end of 19 Kids and Counting? Will TLC continue producing a show that features an admitted sex offender?

Jill Duggar was even celebrated for her 24 years on earth on the Duggar Family Blog, where a collage of everything Jill was shared with family members, friends, and fans. They titled the blog post, “Duggar #4 Turns 24.”

Jill was born 16 months after Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had their twins, John and Jana.

“Growing up, people would sometimes guess that Jana, John and I were triplets because we were so close in age, or that Jana and I were twins, since we looked so much alike,” Jill Duggar Dillard wrote in her own blog post.

This is the first birthday Jill Duggar has spent as a mom. She and Derick Dillard welcomed Israel David Dillard into their world back on April 6th. Now Jill is likely excited about sharing her knowledge with sister Jessa Duggar Seewald, who is expecting her first baby on November 1st.

  • Jessa Duggar Seewald: Check Out the ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star’s Growing Baby Bump

Jessa Duggar Seewald is now 16 weeks pregnant–16 weeks and one day, as of Monday, to be exact. The 19 Kids and Counting star shared a photo of her growing baby bump with her followers on social media.

Jessa is married to Ben Seewald, who just graduated from college last weekend. The two tied the knot back on November 1st, and this coming November 1st is their baby’s due date.

“We are so excited,” Jessa Duggar told People magazine back in April. “The due date is November first, our wedding anniversary.”

Do you suppose Jessa is following Jill Duggar Dillard’s lead? Jill posted a picture of her growing baby bump every week throughout her pregnancy. Her husband, Derick Dillard, served as photographer.

Jill Duggar chose a selfie for her first baby bump shot.

“16 weeks 1 day #BabyBump #BabySeewald,” she captioned the photo.

Jill Duggar and her husband welcomed Israel David Dillard into their lives on April 6th, meaning Jessa Duggar can get lots of practice with her little nephew before her own baby arrives. Of course tending to babies isn’t anything new for the 19 Kids and Counting girls. They’re helped mom Michelle Duggar with their younger siblings for years.

Congrats are definitely in order for Jessa Duggar Seewald and hubby Ben. That growing baby bump is the proof positive that their lives are going to change in the very near future, and in a most profound way.

Do you expect Jessa Duggar will take to motherhood as quickly and easily as Jill Duggar?

  • Jessa Duggar: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Watches Hubby Ben Seewald Graduate from College

Jessa Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting fame has shared lots of milestones with her husband Ben Seewald, during their short time together. Back in November, the two tied the knot. Just about a month ago–following the birth of sister Jill Duggar’s baby Israel David Dillard–Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald announced that they’re expecting their first child on their wedding anniversary, November 1st.

The entire 19 Kids and Counting family is no doubt very proud of Ben Seewald. They likely all got in on some sort of celebration for the new college graduate.

How exciting for both Ben and for Jessa Duggar that they can add his graduation to their list of accomplishments since coming together.

  • Jill Duggar: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star on First Mother’s Day, Baby Israel’s Dedication Service

Jill Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting fame enjoyed a double celebration on her very first Mother’s Day. The baby boy she and hubby Derick Dillard welcomed into their world on April 6th was dedicated in their church on Mother’s Day.

In the Baptist faith, which the entire 19 Kids and Counting family practices, a dedication service is held when a baby is very small. Baptism comes later in life–when the person is able to make the decision to follow Jesus Christ on their own.

Jill Duggar shared a photo via Instagram of Israel David Dillard’s dedication service.

“At Israel’s dedication this morning we were challenged to raise him to love Jesus,” she captioned the photo. “What a special Mother’s Day! “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4 #babydedication #MothersDay.”

A photo posted by Jill Dillard (@jillmdillard) on

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard shared loving Mother’s Day messages to both of their moms–Michelle Duggar and Cathy Dillard–on their blog.

Jill made a short video clip that featured her with baby Israel for Michelle Duggar.

Derick shared a special written message to his mom, who he feared at this time last year, might not be around to celebrate another Mother’s Day.

“You have to know how this holiday went for my family and me last year, so let’s rewind to last year… My mom had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, the most aggressive form nonetheless. She had been instructed to remain as isolated as possible from people because the intense chemotherapy had acted as an atom bomb on her body and her immune system had been all but completely wiped out. Jill and I were happily engaged, but we treasured every moment we could with my mom because we didn’t know if it would be our last. Mother’s day was no different. After attending services that Sunday at my childhood church, Jill, my brother Dan, and I took one of the Mother’s Day roses that were passed out and headed to my mom’s house. Upon arriving at the house, we had to leave the rose outside because even a flower could be enough to make her sick. We put our gloves and masks on to protect her, and then we finally entered the house.

A lot happened in the span of the next year. I was on a roller coaster of emotions that only accelerated as I got closer to the day I would meet Jill at the altar to be married. This year my mom is celebrating not only Mother’s Day, but also her first Mother’s Day as a grandmother. My mom’s story of battle and triumph over cancer is nothing short of a miracle, performed by the one true God, our Lord Jesus Christ, through many medical personnel to whom I am eternally grateful. I also want to say THANK YOU to all those who have been praying and are still praying for my mom. Next to my wife, my mom is the most special woman in the world to me. I am grateful for a mom who gave her children the greatest thing a mom can give, the Word of God. Growing up, she was my best example of what a Godly woman looks like.

“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.”

    -Proverbs 31:10

    Happy Mother’s Day Mom!

    I love you!”

Mother’s Day was a huge event for Jill Duggar and her new little family, as well as for Michelle Duggar and Cathy Dillard. The entire 19 Kids and Counting family no doubt found ways to get in on the celebration.

Jessa Duggar is no doubt anxiously awaiting next May, when she will celebrate her first Mother’s Day, too. She and hubby Ben Seewald are expecting their first child on their one-year wedding anniversary, November 1st.
