  • Alicia Silverstone, Jeremy Sisto Team Up For ‘Clueless’ Reunion at AMAs

    Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto teamed up for a Clueless reunion Sunday at the 2015 American Music Awards.

    The 39-year-old actress and 41-year-old actor, who played Cher Horowitz and Elton Tiscia in the 1995 movie, were reunited to introduce Gwen Stefani ahead of her I Used to Love You performance.

    “It’s been 20 years since Jeremy and I worked on the movie Clueless,” Silverstone told the audience, as reported by UPI. “And we are proud to be a part of [director] Amy Heckerling’s film.”

    “One of the many, many great things in this movie was this young, up and coming band named No Doubt and their song Just a Girl,” Sisto added. “It featured the amazing voice of [Gwen Stefani].”

    Stefani took to the stage to perform her emotional new single, I Used to Love You, inspired by the split with her husband Gavin Rossdale. The single will appear on her forthcoming third solo album. sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.

    Clueless hit theaters in July 1995, and earned over $56 million at the box office. The film was so successful it developed a cult following and launched an ABC/UPN television series and a young adult book series by H.B. Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld.

    Alicia Silverstone has starred in Batman & Robin and Blast from the Past, and is slated to star with James Franco in King Cobra. Sisto portrayed Billy Chenowith on Six Feet Under and Det. Cyrus Lupo on Law & Order, and recently starred in Wicked City.

Although they’ve reunited with several of their co-stars a couple of times since then, it never fails to excite fans when the two of them get together, and they gave us what we wanted at Sunday night’s AMAs.

    Silverstone and Sisto took the stage to introduce Gwen Stefani, who was on hand to perform her new hit “Used To Love You”.

    The duo were at the awards ceremony specifically to be paired up with Gwen, whose song “Just A Girl” with No Doubt was featured in Clueless.

    Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto have had a long working relationship, as they appeared in the film Hideaway together and were most recently paired up again for his series Suburgatory.

    Silverstone, who is busy with her vegan-friendly organization The Kind Life when she isn’t acting, showed off her still-svelte figure on the red carpet on Sunday night and made several best-dressed lists with her sparkly gold gown.

    As for Gwen Stefani, she gave a stellar performance as always despite the tricky subject matter of the song; “Used To Love You” is reportedly about her recent ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, who allegedly cheated on Gwen with their nanny.

    Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto enjoyed a short-but-sweet Clueless reunion on stage at the AMAs on Sunday.

    “It’s been 20 years since Jeremy and I worked on the movie Clueless. And we are proud to be a part of Amy Heckerling’s film,” Silverstone said as the crowd cheered for the beloved cult classic costars.

    “You know one of the many, many great things in the movie was this young, up and coming band named No Doubt and their song “Just a Girl,’” Jeremy Sisto said. “It featured the amazing voice of [Gwen Stefani].”

    Clueless was loosely based on Jane Austen’s classic Emma. The coming-of-age comedy took place in Beverly Hills, where Alicia Silverstone’s character Cher was a spoiled teenager. Sisto’s character, Elton Tiscia, was based on Austen’s Philip Elton.

    The AMAs crowd quickly recovered from their excitement over seeing Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto together on stage when they realized the pair was introducing Gwen Stefani.

    The No Doubt front woman–now linked to Blake Shelton–sang a heart wrenching “Used to Love U,” a song she wrote about ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
