  • Jeremy Meeks, ‘Hot Mugshot Guy,’ Breaks His Silence About All of The Hype

Jeremy Meeks is turning heads all around the country! On Thursday, June 19, the 30-year-old convicted felon’s mug-shot went viral after being posted on the Facebook page for the Stockton Police Department.

Meeks’ jaw-dropping good looks and captivating eyes had women swooning.

Users also weighed in with tweets, sharing their opinion about the viral picture. A number of memes are also circulating on Instagram.

Several media outlets began reporting coverage about the ever-popular mug-shot, which is how Meeks’ wife learned of the news.

However, he had absolutely no idea what was going on since he’s in custody. But, today the infamous “mug-shot man” is breaking his silence.

According to ABC News, Meeks shared his knowledge of the entire debacle, expressing that his wife informed him of his apparent social media popularity. He humbly expressed his gratitude toward all of the attention, but quickly clarified that he is “not a kingpin.”

“Well I appreciate [the attention],” Meeks said.  “But I just want them to know that this is really not me, I’m not some kingpin.”

Although Meeks’ is quite popular amongst the ladies, the Stockton Police Department feels otherwise. Meeks was reportedly arrested with three other men in a multiagency operation. His arrest was prompted by a notable increase in shootings and robberies in the area. He currently faces 11 felony charges, including five weapons charges and one gang-related charge.

Meeks may have an overwhelming number of felony charges, but his mother, Katherine Angier, insists her son is a changed man. On Friday, June 20, she released a statement on his behalf. She is currently raising funds in an effort to post her son’s bail, which is a whopping $900,000.

Please help,” Angier wrote via GoFundMe.com. “My son was taken into custody on his way to work. He is a working man with a son. He is being stereotyped due to old tattoos.” Her current goal is set at $25,000 and she’s raised more than $1,600.00, so far.
