  • Jennifer Aniston Uses Friends To Test Hair Products “Like Barbie Dolls”

Jennifer Aniston has been Hollywood’s go-to girl for hair since the “Rachel”.

Jennifer Aniston has also always been a great friend to those girlfriends in her life that she keeps close.

Well, it seems Jennifer Aniston has found a way to bring those two loves together to benefit everyone, including patrons of her hair care line, Living Proof.

Jennifer Aniston said that she is the happy recipient of product samples before the bottles hit the shelves.

She said, “Chris [McMillan, BFF, hairstlylist, and business partner] and I usually get samples like six months before so we get to try it out and see how it lasts over time and then give feedback for it. It’s so much fun; it really is a wonderful thing to be a part of.”

Jennifer Aniston and Chris McMillan aren’t the only ones who get to try the new products before they hit shelves.

In fact, Jennifer Aniston admits that she gets her friends, like Courteney Cox and yoga instructor Mandy Ingber, to try them as well.

She said, “They allow me to sort of use their hair, they’re like Barbie dolls.”

She added, “Courteney has gorgeous hair, and Mandy’s is really curly so she loves the No Frizz line. Plus, everything smells incredible, that’s my other thing that I love about these products. For me that’s always a big thing, that it isn’t too fragrant-y or perfume-y. It’s so fresh and so light, so incredible.”

Another benefit of Jennifer Aniston’s products is that you don’t have to wash your hair every day, apparently.

Jennifer Aniston said, “That’s the tip I took from Chris. I was never able to do that because of all the silicones and oils in other products. I wasn’t able to go two or three days like I can now. And that really saves the healthier hair.”

What do you think? Will you be trying Living Proof?

Jennifer Aniston said she does have a favorite product. That would be the Night Cap Protector.

She said, “I’m in love with it. When they [the scientists who develop her products] said to me,’Okay, you put it on your hair at night.’ And I said, ‘So I’m going to put a cream on my hair right before I go to bed, and I’m supposed to wake up loving it?’”

She added, “And honestly, I don’t know what they did or how they did it, but I woke up in the morning and my hair was so shiny and vibrant and the color looked great and it wasn’t dirty or greasy and there wasn’t a spot on my pillow. I don’t understand it. It’s kind of like magic.”

  • Jennifer Aniston: How To Get Her Fishtail Braid

Jennifer Aniston has been making all of us jealous with her hair and toned bod for years now, and it doesn’t look like that’ll end any time soon. She recently rocked a loose fishtail braid on Instagram, and her hairstylist says he can show us how he did it.

The former Friends actress experiments a little with her look, but rarely strays from the mid-length, honey-toned locks she’s become famous for since the hit show made “The Rachel” the most copied hairstyle in America. The fishtail looks adorable on her, however, and is a fresh new look for summer.

“This was a shoot to try out different looks on Jen for Living Proof Instant Texture Mist,” said her stylist, Chris McMillan. “We really wanted to get creative and have fun. The shoot was at my salon, so we were super-relaxed and just focused picking a look and having fun. Jen and I both really loved this look. We wanted to try something different that would be great for the summer. Jen really wanted to try something new and she loved it. We also were going for a dramatic look with the braid, which is why we used extensions. It is a look that’s fun, easy but also really edgy.”

To get the same look, take a look at McMillan’s step-by-step instructions from E!:

–Spray the hair with Living Proof Instant Texture Mist and run through with your fingers. Then, pull the hair to same side as your bangs.

–Divide your hair into two large sections, parting straight down the middle. For a sharper look, you can use a comb to part your hair evenly.
Keep alternating sides, weaving over and under, until you reach the bottom of the braid.

–Wrap a rubber band around the bottom of the braid. If you want a more polished look, wrap one strand around the band and tuck into the band from the bottom.

–Pull a thin strand of hair from the outside of the left section. Pull it over the top of the left section, and grasp it under the right section. In other words, the strand of hair has gone over the left section and finishes under the right section.

–Repeat on the right side. Pull a skinny strand of hair from the outside of the right section, pull it over the right section, then weave it under the left section.

  • Jennifer Aniston Dishes on Iconic Hairstyle

Jennifer Aniston has long been an icon in the world of popular hairstyles. Best known for ‘The Rachel’ from her days on Friends, she jokes that she never was very good at doing her own hair. Her longtime stylist Chris McMillan created–and maintained–the ‘do.

“‘The Rachel’ was one of the hardest hairstyles to maintain. Me and the blow dryer and the hairbrush weren’t meant for each other,” Aniston said during a recent interview. “It really was a ‘hairdo.’”

“When Chris would style it my hair would be great, it would look gorgeous,” she added. “But then when I was left to my own devices, it wouldn’t look the same!”

These days Aniston is “all about a low-maintenance approach” and that includes only washing her hair every other day or every three days. She still finds having had the most popular style around to be completely ironic.

“It was all anyone ever wanted to know about, all Chris ever got asked to do. I liked it at the time, but I started to grow it out after about eight months. But it just wouldn’t die.”

These days, however, ‘The Rachel’ seems to be a done deal. Jennifer Aniston now sports a far more relaxed ‘do that requires little to no maintenance at all except for regular trims and color touch ups by Chris.

She was asked a humorous question about her hair recently and her answer might just surprise you.

“Would you rather have the Rachel haircut for the rest of your life or shave your head once?” Jen was asked.

“Shave my hair once, definitely. ‘The Rachel’ for the rest of my life? Shave my head once! Yeah, I’d shave my head once!” she emphatically replied.

Jennifer Aniston could definitely pull off being bald. ‘The Rachel’ was pretty cool, too. Which do you think you prefer?

  • Jennifer Aniston: “The Rachel” Was The Cut That Wouldn’t Die

Jennifer Aniston has some of the most famous tresses in Hollywood, which the actress says she always found funny because when she was younger, her hair was a “challenge”. Twenty years after she made “The Rachel” the go-to hairstyle for women all around the country, Aniston says she can’t believe it hung around for so long, especially since it’s difficult to maintain.

“When Chris (McMillan, her stylist) would style it my hair would be great, it would look gorgeous. But then when I was left to my own devices, it wouldn’t look the same!” she said.

At the time–when Friends was at the height of its popularity–Aniston loved the cut. But once she realized how difficult it was to style on her own, it got old really fast. She kept the cut less than a year before she started to let it grow out, she says, but other women hung on to it and McMillan was in high demand for a long time because of the style.

“It was all anyone ever wanted to know about, all Chris ever got asked to do. I liked it at the time, but I started to grow it out after about eight months. But it just wouldn’t die,” she said.

Aniston recently surprised fans when she revealed that she only washes her hair once every 2 or 3 days, but says it’s made possible by Living Proof products, which she endorses.

“I don’t get a lot of product build-up with Living Proof and my hair doesn’t get dirty straight away. I wash my hair with No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. And with PHD Styling Treatment I can air-dry and style my hair in 10 minutes, when it used to take 25 minutes,” she said.

  • Jennifer Aniston Goes Brunette, Shares Hair Secret

Jennifer Aniston Goes Brunette, Shares Hair Secret

Since she first appeared on Friends in 1994, Jennifer Aniston has been known for her hairstyle, known to fans of the show as “The Rachel.” Recently, the 45-year old actress opened up about her long locks.

“The ‘Rachel’ was one of the hardest hairstyles to maintain. Me and the blow dryer and the hairbrush weren’t meant for each other,” Aniston admitted to ABC News. “It really was a ‘hairdo’. When Chris [McMillan] would style it my hair would be great, it would look gorgeous. But then when I was left to my own devices, it wouldn’t look the same!

“[The attention] is funny and entertaining in a way and it’s of course very flattering to say the least,” Aniston added.”But I always have such a chuckle when I hear people saying I have great hair because as a kid it was always a challenge.”

As a style icon, voted more than once on People’s annual list of The Most Beautiful, it’s hard to believe that the sexy blonde ever struggled with her looks. But that’s not the case.

“My 30s were my awkward phase,” Aniston said. “I’m a late bloomer.”

But now the We’re the Millers star has gone from her famous blonde tresses to brunette for a role in the upcoming film Cake, a drama written by Patrick Tobin.

“I’ll eventually go back to blonde but it’s been fun to do something different for a while,” she said. “My hair is actually naturally dark.”

In fact, Aniston is all about “low maintenance” when it comes to hair. She recently admitted to only washing her hair every other day or every three days, thanks to Living Proof hair products, for which she is a spokeswoman.

“I don’t get a lot of product build-up with Living Proof and my hair doesn’t get dirty straight away,” she said. “I wash my hair with No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. And with PHD Styling Treatment I can air-dry and style my hair in 10 minutes, when it used to take 25 minutes.”

In addition to Cake, Aniston will also be appearing this year in Horrible Bosses 2 and She’s Funny That Way.
