  • Jenna Talackova Gets Dissed by Swanky Diners

We reported earlier that Jenna Talackova’s battle to compete in The Miss Universe Canada pageant. She has been accepted back into the competition despite being transgendered but continues to face rejection.

Jenna’s bikini photo shoot at an upscale L.A. hotel was shut down after numerous guests complained to the staff.

Sources told TMZ that Jenna was originally supposed to do the shoot in her suite at the Wilshire Hotel but the crew was unprepared so they moved it out to the pool.

The problem didn’t stem from the fact that she was born a he, but rather that she stripped down to a bikini right next to a restaurant filled with patrons who didn’t appreciate the scene.

Jenna is also to blame because she didn’t get permission from the hotel to shoot there.

Yesterday Jenna appeared at a press conference and asked that Donald Trump, owner of the pageant, eliminate the rule that contestants need to be born a female, “I want Mr. Trump to state that this rule will be eliminated because I do not want any other woman to suffer from the discrimination that I have endured.”

The transgender beauty queen got what she wanted and the Trump organization announced on Monday that it would not attempt to keep her out of the competition. However, the rule is still in place making Jenna an exception to it.

Do you think that Jenna is a plastic surgeon’s masterpiece and is exceptionally attractive despite being born a man? Do you think that bending rules in this beauty pageant is destroying its legacy?

  • Jenna Talackova: The Transgender Model Will Be Allowed to Compete After All

We reported to you earlier that Jenna Talackova was born a man but started receiving hormone therapy as a teen and had gender reassignment surgery at 19 making her a woman. Jenna wanted to showcase her beauty and decided to enter the Miss Universe Canada pageant but was kicked out of the contest because she was not born a female.

Miss Universe Canada released the following statement, “Jenna Talackova from Vancouver, British Columbia will not compete in the 2012 Miss Universe Canada competition because she did not meet the requirements to compete despite having stated otherwise on her entry form. We do, however, respect her goals, determination and wish her the best.”

Jenna decided to stand up for herself and hired a lawyer to contest the organization’s decision.

Apparently this worked because Miss Universe Canada is now allowing her back into the contest. They released the following statement on April 2nd:

“The Miss Universe Organization will allow Jenna Talackova to compete in the 2012 Miss Universe Canada pageant provided she meets the legal gender recognition requirements of Canada, and the standards established by other international competitions.”

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) are happy about the organization’s new ruling and stated on Monday that, “The Miss Universe Organization made the right decision and has taken an important first step. Now, GLAAD urges the Organization to include all women and use this incident to speak out in support of the transgender community.”

Regardless of where you stand on the issue, this year’s pageant just got a lot more interesting.
