The show is set to air on June 10th.

    “Being a huge fan of country music, the CMT Music Awards are one of my favorite events of the season,” Erin Andrews said in a recent statement to Us Weekly. “I cannot wait to be around all the talented artists and bands and look forward to being a part of such a great event.”

    It seems Brittany Snow is an avid country music fan, too–as well as a fan of Erin Andrews.

    “As a longtime fan of CMT and the CMT Music Awards, I’m thrilled to join Erin in hosting what’s sure to be one of the most memorable musical nights of the year,” she said.

    Some of the biggest names in country music will take the stage along with Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow at the 2015 CMT Awards on Wednesday night, including Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and more. On Monday it was announced that Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker have joined this impressive lineup of performers and presenters.

  • Reba McEntire to Return to CMT Awards Stage for First Time in Ten Years

    Reba McEntire is returning to the CMT Awards stage on Wednesday night for the first time in ten years. She and Darius Rucker were just announced as additions to the night’s performance lineup.

    A whole slew of country music greats will both perform and present during the evening, but not many have the longevity and popularity in the country music world as that of Reba McEntire.

    The 2015 CMT Awards will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Erin Andrews of Fox Sports and Dancing With the Stars fame, along with Pitch Perfect 2’s Brittany Snow will serve as co-hosts for the event.

    In addition to Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker–he will perform outside the arena–other acts at Wednesday night’s CMT Awards include Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, and Sam Hunt. Lady Antebellum take the stage, too, alongside DJ-producer Zedd for a very special country-EDM mashup.

    CMT Awards presenters include Arnold Schwarzenegger (not a name many associate with country music–but ok), Billy Ray Cyrus, Cole Swindell, David Spade, and Hunter Hayes.

    Carrie Underwood is leader of the CMT Awards pack, with five nominations.

    It’s uncertain what Reba McEntire will sing, but it’s also quite likely that fans don’t care. Just seeing her perform on the CMT Awards stage is more than enough–for those in the audience as well as viewers at home.

  • Brittany Kerr No Longer the Other Woman, But Will Fans Forgive Her?

    Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean are finally married. To them, it’s not that big a deal. They’ve been together for a while. But to onlookers and naysayers, maybe finally tying the knot will put the chatter to bed.

    Brittany Kerr was on the red carpet with her man at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards over the weekend. When asked about how married life was treating them, Aldean was laid back.

    “So far, so good, man. We’re like a week and a day in. We’re still at it so I guess that’s a good thing,”

    “We were already living together and it kinda felt like we were married anyway,” he said. “We were kind of living the married life anyways so for us it was kind of just going through the formalities of it all. It was nice to do that and kind of make it official. It’s been a good week.”

    Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean have caught a lot of flak for their relationship. Brittany Kerr was maligned as “the other woman” for quite a while after Aldean left his wife and mother of his kids to be with her.

    Brittany Kerr and Aldean were spotted nuzzling it up in a bar in 2012. In early 2013, Aldean split from his wife. The two have been together ever since. But there has been near-constant criticism.

    Back in September, Aldean had had enough.

    “It has been two years of this shit — get over it, already!” he said in a Billboard interview. “And then when I finally do get enough of it and say something, every newspaper grabs it. And I’m not trying to get in the headlines — I’m just trying to get people to stop running their mouths.”

    “I’m pretty private, but over the last couple of years I’ve gotten that taken away from me, which kind of pissed me off. You know, my kids get on there and read all that. I’m not blaming anybody. Obviously, a lot of that stuff is my own deal. But I could go post something on my page right now that says, ‘Hey, we just donated $5 million to a children’s cancer research center,’ and somebody would get on there and go, ‘You’re an asshole cheater.’”

    Brittany Kerr and country singer Jason Aldean tied the knot on Saturday in Mexico. The couple confirmed their marriage in a statement for Us Weekly.

    Jason Aldean proposed to the former American Idol contestant and former NBA cheerleader back in September after they dated for about two years.

    “This is the best day ever–I’ve got my girl here, my friends, my family–it’s the best day ever!” Jason Aldean said of his marriage to Brittany Kerr.

    Jason Aldean was married before to Jessica Ussery, and has two daughters–Keeley, who is 12, and Kendyl, who is seven–from that marriage. Both daughters were at the wedding.

    It was while Aldean was still married to Ussery that he was caught kissing Brittany Kerr at a bar in L.A. back in 2012. At the time, he said he’d made a mistake and needed some time to work through things privately. The “Big Green Tractor” singer filed for divorce from his wife in April of the next year.

    On Saturday, Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean got married in Mexico.

    The couple’s friends and family joined them for the celebration.

    Among the guests were Aldean’s daughters from his previous marriage, Keeley 12, and Kendyl, 7.

    Also attending Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean’s big day were Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson and many others.

    You may recall that Brittany Kerr is the girl that Jason Aldean was spotted kissing in 2012 while he was still married to his first wife, Jessica Ussery.

    In 2013, Jason Aldean filed for divorce and started dating Brittany Kerr out in the open shortly after.

    Despite their somewhat scandalous beginning, Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean are obviously head over heels and were ready to make the commitment.

    “This is the best day ever — I’ve got my girl here, my friends, my family — it’s the best day ever!” Aldean, 38, told Us Weekly in a statement.

    Brittany Kerr, 27, added, “Today has been the best day of my life. I feel like the luckiest woman to have been able to marry my best friend.”

    Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean threw a memorable engagement party back in January at Nashville’s swanky Citizen Club.

    Luke Bryan and Eric Church, both of whom collaborated with Jason Aldean on the song “The Only Way I Know”, were there to celebrate Brittany Kerr and Jason Aldean.

    In addition to Bryan and Church, Aldean’s mother, Debbie Wood, his stepmom, Vivian Williams, and his sister, Kasi Morstad also joined in the fun.

    Of course, Brittany Kerr’s mom, Debi Kerr, and grandmother, Louvada Barbee, among other members of her family, were there to welcome Jason Aldean to the clan.

    Brittany Kerr has married country star Jason Aldean.

    The My Kind of Party singer, who just completed his Burn It Down Tour, tied the knot with his love of one year on Saturday in front of family and friends, including Duck Dynasty‘s Willie Robertson.

    “This is the best day ever — I’ve got my girl here, my friends, my family — it’s the best day ever!” Aldean, 38, told Us Magazine in a statement.

    “Today has been the best day of my life. I feel like the luckiest woman to have been able to marry my best friend,” said Brittany Kerr.

    Jason Aldean, 38, and Brittany Kerr, 27, were first linked while Aldean was still married to his wife of 12 years, Jessica Ussery, with whom he has two daughters, Keeley, 12, and Kendyl, seven.

    The newly married Aldean and Kerr were spotted getting cozy in 2012, causing more than a few eyebrows to raise.

    Jason Aldean filed for divorce in April 2013 and then proposed to Kerr in September 2014.

    “My heart has never been more full of happiness and love,” Brittany Kerr posted on Instagram at the time of the proposal. “Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this man. So many blessings and memories are in our future and SO thankful I get to share them with him. Thanks for all the support and kind words y’all have given us.”

    Aldean feels that the scandal has finally worn off, even for country music fans.

    “This year has been a good year for us,” Aldean tells Us Magazine. “All of this… now [Brittany] can come out to shows and be normal. All the craziness around us has died down, and that’s been the coolest thing about this year.”

  • Jason Aldean Removes Music From Spotify

    Spotify is a popular place for music lovers to listen to and stream music from their favorite artists and bands.

    While Jason Aldean once allowed his tracks to be streamed on Spotify, he decided that he no longer wants that to happen and pulled his latest album, Old Boots, New Dirt, from the service.

    Aldean isn’t the only artist who no longer allows his music to stream on Spotify. Earlier this month, Taylor Swift told Us.that she had pulled her tracks from the music streaming service as well.

    “The landscape of the music industry itself is changing so quickly, that everything new, like Spotify, all feels to me a bit like a grand experiment,” Swift told Yahoo! “I’m not willing to contribute my life’s work to an experiment that I don’t feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists and creators of this music. And I just don’t agree with perpetuating the perception that music has no value and should be free.”

    She defended her decision to remove her music adding,

    “I felt like I was saying to my fans, ‘If you create music someday, if you create a painting someday, someone can just walk into a museum, take it off the wall, rip off a corner off it, and it’s theirs now and they don’t have to pay for it. And so I decided to change the way I was doing things.”

    Aldean hasn’t made a statement about his decision to remove his music, but Spotify users who are trying to access his tracks that were once available on the service are seeing a message that says,

    “The artist or their representatives have decided not to release this album on Spotify. We are working on it and hope they will change their mind soon.”

    While some artists are fine with their music being streamed through the service, it’s likely that many of them will copy Swift and Aldean and remove their music as well.

    Aldean’s rep confirmed the engagement and Kerr took to her personal Instagram account to share the exciting news.

    The photo shows the couple sharing a passionate kiss with Kerr’s diamond shining brightly into the camera.

    “We’ve been on cloud nine the past few days!!” Kerr captioned the photo. “My heart has never been more full of happiness and love… Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this man.”

    So far, details of the proposal have not been revealed.

    Aldean was first linked to Kerr in 2012 when he was spotted kissing her while he was still married to his wife Jessica Ussery, whom he has two young daughters with.

    According to his rep, Aldean asked former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr to be his wife.

    This will make the second marriage for Aldean, who was first seen getting comfortable with Kerr in 2012 while he was still married to his former wife Jessica Ussery.

    After he was caught cheating, Aldean issued a public apology and admitted that what he had done was wrong. However, he filed for divorce from Ussery just a few months later.

    In 2014, Aldean and Kerr stepped out for the first time publicly together at the CMT music awards.

    Aldean’s fans have given him tons of grief for his mistake to which he has replied that they simply need to move on and get over it.

    “So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about,” Aldean said after a Instagram post of him and Kerr aroused negativity from fans. “I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn’t change a thing.”

    Aldean also defended himself during an interview with Billboard magazine. “It has been two years of this [expletive] — get over it, already!” he said. “I’m not blaming anybody.     It all started innocently enough.

    On Aug. 10, country singer Jason Aldean posted a cute photo of himself with his mistress turned girlfriend, Brittany Kerr, and their new bulldog, Manny. The photo was accompanied by the caption: “A little surprise for my girl @brittanylkerr tonight. Her favorite pooch @manny_the_frenchie came to my show in Chi-Town tonite. #loveubaby #surprise.”

    However, some fans didn’t seem to appreciate the post, presumably because they still harbor resentment for Aldean cheating on his wife with the former American Idol contestant. Many of his 500,000 Instagram followers wrote some angry comments on the post.

    A frustrated Aldean posted a follow-up photo Aug. 11 to address the haters, with the caption: “So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn’t change a thing. Im happier than i have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. It’s time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon.”

    Aldean, 37, filed for divorce from wife Jessica Ussery in 2013. It wasn’t until April 2014 that Aldean and Kerr finally went public together at the CMT Music Awards.


    Kerr posted her own photo of the threesome with the caption, “Tonight!!! One of the best nights of my life! I met @manny_the_frenchie such a sweet little nugget #bestboyfriendintheworld #animallove #chunky #butt.”

    She received a lot of hate-comments, as well.

    At the time of the scandal, Aldean issued a public apology for “screwing up” with the Idol singer.

    “The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar,” he said. “I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys.”

    Aldean and Ussery have two daughters together, Keely, 10, and Kendyl, 5. The high school sweethearts were married in 2001.

  • Miranda Lambert Triumphs at ACM Awards

    Country music star Miranda Lambert took home three trophies on Sunday at the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, and made history by taking the award for Best Female Vocalist for the fifth consecutive year.

    “I cannot believe this; I really didn’t expect it,” said Lambert upon accepting the Best Female Vocalist honor.

    She took the prize over fellow nominees Sheryl Crow, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.

    “I was just hanging out with Trisha Yearwood back there — holy crap! And I was standing next to Sheryl Crow, a complete and utter rock star. Kacey Musgraves, she wrote the Single of the Year. Carrie Underwood’s my buddy; she’s a phenomenon,” Lambert said.

    The House That Built Me singer surpassed Reba McEntire, who won the Best Vocalist honor four years in a row, and seven in total.

    Lambert also took home the Record of the Year award for her song Mama’s Broken Heart, along with the Vocal Event of the Year prize for her duet with Keith Urban, We Were Us, which was handed out on the red carpet on Sunday before the ceremony began.

    Urban was the night’s top winner in numbers. He took home two awards for We Were Us, one as an artist and one as a producer of the song. He also took the prize for Video of the Year for Highway Don’t Care,” his collaboration with Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw.

    The night was filled with performances including sets from Urban, George Strait, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Tobias Keith, Jason Aldean, and Sheryl Crow.

    Aldean picked up the Male Vocalist of the Year award for the second year in a row, and Straight took home the night’s ultimate honor, Entertainer of the Year.

    Next year’s broadcast of the 50th anniversary of the ACM Awards will be broadcast live from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

  • Brittany Kerr, Aldean’s Mistress Turned Girlfriend

    “The truth is that I screwed up.”

    Country star Jason Adlean may have been “having problems” with his wife of 12 years, but that sure didn’t stop him from having a little fun while they were “workin’ through” their issues.

    Aldean and his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery, divorced in April of last year, 7 months after the 37-year old singer was caught on camera kissing another female in a bar in West Hollywood. Immediately after the incident, Aldean apologized on Facebook.

    “I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar,” he wrote. “I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story.”

    Apparently it’s not the end of the story because US Weekly recently confirmed that Aldean is now dating the female he was caught locking lips with in the bar.

    So who is this female that has blinded the “Night Train” singer with love…or lust? Aspiring model, former NBA cheerleader, and American Idol star Brittany Kerr.

    Since January, Kerr has been seen at at least two of his concerts, the most recent on March 14 in Alabama when she was seen in the wings backstage, according to TMZ.

    The scandal really came to a head when Aldean filed for divorce from Ussery, citing irreconcilable differences.

    “This is a really tough time for my entire family,” the country singer said at the time. “I’ve learned that everyone always rushes to judgement when they hear news like this. That’s really hard because no one knows anything about our relationship but us. I understand that because of my job, I have to go through a lot of this in the public eye, but for my girls’ sake I really wish people would give us some level of privacy and at the very least be respectful of them.”

    Aldean and his ex-wife have two children together, daughters Kendyl and Keeley.

    As far as Kerr, we don’t know much more than the facts. Modeling is her passion – and she posts plenty of pictures of herself on her Twitter page to prove that.

    She’s also a first-degree black belt and was initially rejected by Jennifer Lopez at her American Idol audition; however, since she was well received by both Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, she got to move further into the competition.

  • Jason Aldean, Springsteen Perform at March Madness

    This year college basketball’s Division One semifinal and championship games will be played at the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium in Arlington, Texas. But the Final Four isn’t just about basketball anymore. It’s also about music.

    Every year, the NCAA brings in some big names to perform at the March Madness Music Festival. Last year, the Zac Brown Band performed in Atlanta.

    This year the free three-day festival will take place at Reunion Park in Dallas. It will kick off on Friday, April 4 with the AT&T Block party featuring country music singer and “Male Vocalist of the Year” Jason Aldean.

    On Saturday, country singer Tim McGraw will take the stage at the Coke Zero Countdown, followed by a live broadcast of the first semi-final NCAA basketball game. The chart-topping rock band The Killers will follow the live broadcast.

    Then on Sunday, at the Capital One Jamfest, the band fun. will perform, followed by the closing of the festival with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

    “Capital One is thrilled to bring this incredible musical lineup to fans during this year’s Final Four,” said Roger Ferguson, Managing Vice President, Brand Advertising, Media and Sponsorships at Capital One. “Whether it’s hosting the very best musical talent or providing fans the ultimate sports experience at Bracket Town, we’re delighted to help make the Final Four a unique and very special experience.”

    Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

    Tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis each day of the festival.

    In the past, the annual festival has attracted big-name acts such as Sting, Dave Matthews Band, Music, KISS, The Kings of Leon, the Black Keys, and Taylor Swift.

    The Final Four semifinals will be played on Saturday, April 5, with the finals on Monday, April 7 in Arlington.

  • George Strait: The Cowboy Rides Away with Awards

    Wednesday night, country crooner George Strait will be the elder statesman among this year’s annual Country Music Association Awards nominees for entertainer of the year. Strait’s competitors at the 47th annual event are Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan (37), Jason Aldean (36) and Taylor Swift (24) and all of them got their music city breaks in the 2000’s. The 61-year-old, on the other hand, has been racking up chart toppers since his first single hit the Top Ten in 1981.

    The awards spotlight is not restricted to Strait, who was presented with the Founder’s Award at this week’s American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers ceremony; it graces those around him. Tonight, Broadcast Music, Inc., honored longtime songwriter Dean Dillon, who penned over 50 songs for the Texan, including The Breath You Take, which garnered Dillon a GRAMMY nomination.

    Tom Roland, editor of Billboard Country Update says that in this year of, “turnover,” from seasoned to newer artists, and figuring in Strait’s farewell tour which ends next year, King George’s nomination for the CMAs is, “a case of the industry saying, ‘Hey, we love you. We appreciate what you did’… A lot of the people who vote on the CMA Awards still have this great appreciation for traditional country music, and that’s very important to them even though that’s not necessarily what’s driving the ship for them right now in country music.”

    But if it’s a sign of farewells for the long-hailed troubadours of country music, this is Strait’s only nomination for this year’s CMAs as opposed to Swift’s six nominations (three for Highway Don’t Care with main vocals by Tim McGraw and also featuring Keith Urban), Shelton’s five nods, and Bryan and Aldean’s three nods (one each for The Only Way I Know with Eric Church). Shelton, Bryan and Aldean are also competing for the Male Vocalist of the Year award.

    Strait insists that he is not retiring, but rather that his The Cowboy Rides Away Tour will be his last, so-structured tour.

  • Jason Aldean Apologizes On Facebook For Cheating

    Married country singer Jason Aldean was caught on camera while making out with “American Idol” contestant Brittany Kerry outside a bar last week, and he recently took to his Facebook page to apologize for it.

    The incident happened outside a Sunset Strip bar, where the singer had apparently had a few too many drinks; he later left in a cab alone and insists that nothing further happened with Kerry. He has been married to wife Jessica since 2001 and has two children with her.

    Aldean has seen quite a bit of success this year, with his single “Take A Little Ride” hitting the top of the Billboard charts and an invitation to play the CMA’s on November 1st. He immediately did some damage control after TMZ leaked photos of the makeout session, taking to his Facebook page to apologize and set the record straight.

    Hey Guys – I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites.
    The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.

  • Jason Aldean Tweets Out Video For 7-Year-Old With Brain Cancer

    Over the weekend KOLN-TV, out of Nebraska, ran a story about a 7-year-old boy named Tyson Zimmer. The news report told about how Tyson has medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer, who just had a golf ball size tumor removed in 2011, but sadly, the cancer is back.

    At the moment Zimmer’s top priorities are going to Walt Disney World and saying “hello” to his favorite country music singer. Tyson’s mom, Liz Duering says, “If Jason Aldean even just sent a video message that would make his day big time.”

    Well, Liz got here wish as Jason Aldean tweeted out the following to his 400K+ Twitter followers:

    In the video Aldean states, “I heard you’re going through a little bit of a rough time … Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you, man. So take care and get well soon, buddy.”

    According to KLON-TV, “Tyson got some good news Monday. The Make-a-Wish foundation is sending his family to Disney World next week, and a package full of autographed memorabilia was sent to Tyson from his favorite country star, Jason Aldean. In addition to the autographs Tyson also got 4 tickets to see Jason in Concert and backstage passes. The family is planning to go to see Jason Aldean in concert in Illinois May 11th or 12th after they return from Disney World, but they need help coming up with the air fare.“
