  • January Jones Going as Bryce Dallas Howard for Halloween. Or Is That Jessica Chastian?

January Jones, the Mad Men star who wowed audiences as Don Draper’s wife for a while, has announced what her Halloween costume will be.

January Jones’ son, Xander, got to pick out his mom’s Halloween look, pairing it with his own costume choice.

“I’m Claire from Jurassic World, per my son’s request,” January Jones said.

So what is Xander sporting this Halloween?

“He is a T-Rex and the dog is a Raptor. I don’t know. He wants to be Owen and a T-Rex,” January Jones said, referring to Chris Pratt’s character from Jurassic World.

But, back to January Jones’ costume. She is going as Claire, who was played by Bryce Dallas Howard. Howard herself made headlines recently when she talked about her stunt work for the film, which included running in stiletto heels. But it was another Bryce Dallas Howard headline this week that hits closer to home for January Jones.

Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard have often been mistaken for each other. Just this week, Jessica Chastain told Jimmy Fallon that someone recently congratulated her on Jurassic world. But she is not in Jurassic World. That was Bryce Dallas Howard.

This is not the first time the issue has hit headlines. Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain were in The Help together and had a chance to suss through this problem.

“First of all, any day where I get confused for Jess is a very good day. She’s one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever seen. We went to college at the same time in New York. She went to Juilliard and I went to NYU. It’s been going on for a long time. I remember thinking that I need to meet her. When we did The Help, we met each other and the first thing we did was find a mirror. We stood in front of it. And we compared. We’ve got red hair. There’s enough similarity that people make that comparison. My goal is to play sisters with her.”

Chastain herself tweeted about the phenomenon.

So if January Jones is smart, she can hit houses twice on Halloween, once as Bryce Dallas Howard, once as Jessica Chastain.

  • January Jones And Will Forte Silently End Relationship

“Relationships are a pain in the ass,” January Jones was quoted as telling her friends, according to one insider.

Apparently, Will Forte wasn’t the last man on earth for Jones as they’ve already ended their five-month relationship last month.

Jones and Forte attended the 2015 Emmys last Sunday, albeit separately. Jones was seen celebrating with her Mad Men cast mates at the after party, and reportedly spent a lot of time with co-star Jon Hamm, who also happens to be currently single.

Meanwhile, Forte was nominated as Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in the Fox comedy, The Last Man on Earth, but lost out to Transparent star, Jeffrey Tambor.

Jones and Forte began their romance last April, after they met on set of The Last Man on Earth. They never released an official statement about the relationship, and also kept mum about the split.

No details were revealed on why they broke up except for a statement from one insider saying that Jones wasn’t looking for commitment and considered a serious relationship as a burden.

Jones was formerly linked to SNL alum Jason Sudeikis, actor Ashton Kutcher, and singer Josh Groban. She also previously dated Adrian Brody and Jeremy Piven.

Jones also dated director Noah Miller until they split in January 2013. To this day, Jones has not disclosed the real identity of her son’s father.

With that list of past relationships, perhaps Jones was on to something when she said that she needed to take a step back.

“I’m looking forward to a break,” she told E! News when she promoted Good Kill at the Tribeca Film Festival in late April. “In a couple of weeks, I’m going to take a vacation and relax on the beach somewhere under an umbrella.”

  • January Jones, Will Forte Call It Quits: Why Doesn’t It Work With ‘SNL’ Alum?

January Jones and Will Forte have reportedly called it quits, after dating for about five months. What is it about January Jones and SNL alumni? The Mad Men star previously dated Jason Sudeikis, too, and that went south as well.

January Jones and Will Forte met on the set of The Last Man on Earth, and things heated up quickly. The two officially split in August.

Fortunately all went smoothly for Will Forte and January Jones when they both attended the 2015 Emmys on Sunday. Jones hung out with her Mad Men costars for the evening. Forte was nominated for his Last Man on Earth role. He lost out to Jeffrey Tambor for his Transparent role.

Rumor has it that January Jones wasn’t interested in a serious long term relationship–hence her split from Will Forte. She recently told her friends that, “Relationships are a pain in the ass.”

January Jones is the mother of four-year-old son Xander, so there’s always that component of her life as well. It’s hard to commit to a relationship when a child is involved unless everything is in perfect alignment–and that doesn’t happen all too often.

In addition to Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis, January Jones has previously dated director Noah Miller and Mila Kunis’s husband Ashton Kutcher.

Are you surprised to learn that Jones and Forte are no longer a couple? Do you expect she might one day date yet another SNL alum?

  • January Jones Says Last Episode Of “Mad Men” Was Like “Someone Dying”

January Jones spoke recently about what it was like to film her last scenes for Mad Men, and compared it to watching someone die.

The hugely successful AMC show aired its series finale on Sunday night, sending Don Draper off in what many fans are calling the “right” way, even though many of us would rather not see him go at all. As for Jones and her role as Betty, she has continued to fascinate and exasperate fans over the years, first as the young, naive wife of a charming philanderer and then as the woman who knew too much. After living in Betty’s skin for so many seasons, Jones said that the last day of filming–which was scheduled so that everyone was involved in some way–was terrible.

“It was awful. It was really sad. They scheduled it so that on the last day, everyone had their last scene of the episode, and it was like every moment of the day was somebody’s last something, and it was just so sad. I think I had one of the last scenes of the day and [was] just asking for more takes because I knew it was like the last time that I would ever speak for Betty. It was like someone was dying. I was like, ‘Let me just do one more,’ because I knew I would never be her again,” Jones told People.

It’s not clear what’s next for Jones, although she has a world of possibilities open to her now. She said recently that doing the same show for so long with the same people tends to make an actor feel insulated, so she’s learned to value her relationships outside of the workplace.

“I’ve become a better person and becoming a mother has opened up a whole new world to me. I feel I’ve become a better friend, too. When you do a TV show for so long you live in a bubble, so I’ve learned to value real relationships. I’ve been blessed, I have no complaints really,” January Jones said.

  • Elisabeth Moss Wouldn’t Give Up ‘Mad Men’ Ending, Even When Jesse Tyler Ferguson Begged

Elisabeth Moss wouldn’t think of giving away the series finale of Mad Men–not even when Jesse Tyler Ferguson begged her to at the Lucille Lortel Awards. The two served as presenters at the event on Friday.

Long revered for her Mad Men role as Peggy Olson, Elisabeth Moss is just one of the actors who has kept fans on their toes, wondering how the series will end.

On Sunday, everyone will find out.

Page Six reports that Jesse Tyler Ferguson really tried his best to get Elisabeth Moss to give up the goods.

The Modern Family star admitted he is a huge Mad Men fan, then directly asked Elisabeth Moss from the Lucille Lortel Awards stage.

“How’s it going to end? You can just whisper it in my ear,” he joked.

Elisabeth Moss leaned close to the actor, pretending to divulge the ending.

“Oh my God . . . So he was a woman the whole time?” he said.

Recently, Elisabeth Moss talked about how she imagines Peggy Olson’s future–post Mad Men.

Will you be among the throngs of Mad Men fans tuning in on Sunday night to see how the AMC series ends?

Not only will they be saying goodbye to Elisabeth Moss as Peggy Olson, but to Jon Hamm as Don Draper, Christina Hendricks as Joan Harris, Roger Sterling as John Slattery, January Jones as Betty Francis, and Pete Campbell as Vincent Kartheiser, too.

  • Giada De Laurentiis: A Future With Bobby Flay?

Giada De Laurentiis was linked in her past to Chef Bobby Flay. Now that Flay has announced he and wife Stephanie March (of Law & Order: SVU fame) are divorcing, might the two become more than friends again? Giada De Laurentiis, after all, announced she was divorcing in December–and just days prior to her announcement, she and Bobby Flay were spotted having dinner in Miami.

Bobby Flay was once linked to actress January Jones as well, although he denies those previous ‘relationships,’ including the one with Giada De Laurentiis.

“It looked like a friendly dinner,” a source said of the two dining together in Miami just four months ago, but added De Laurentiis “definitely had a few drinks.”

Bobby Flay told Page Six at the time that his dinner with Giada De Laurentiss was nothing more than “two colleagues and old friends had a quick dinner.”

What do you think? The two would make a very intriguing couple, given their talents–and their good looks, too.

Stephanie March launched her makeup shop Rouge last year. During a promo, she told Hamptons magazine last summer that Bobby Flay’s work schedule made it hard for the couple to spend quality time together.

“Bobby has sworn to me, like some sort of dating website, we would take walks on the beach, because last year, I said over and over, ‘Let’s take a walk on the beach.’ This time he says he’s going to follow through.”

Will Bobby Flay be taking said walk on the beach with Giada De Laurentiis instead?

They certainly know the direct route to one another’s hearts–via their culinary expertise.

  • January Jones Goes From Bored Housewife To Nude Model [Photo]

January Jones bares all in a tasteful black and white photo for The Violet Files.

Jones poses topless with her exposed breasts only partially hidden beneath a mermaid hairdo. The 37-year-old actress also models six different hairstyles and five outfits for the Los Angeles based luxury magazine.

The Mad Men star reeled away from her bored housewife role as Betty Draper to exploring the role of nude model for the magazine.

Aside from the daring nude photo, her other shots prove more fashion-forward as Jones poses in a wardrobe fabulously styled by Elizabeth Stewart. The X-Men: First Class vixen works a star-bedazzled emerald top in one shoot. She also models a plunging raspberry red evening dress with floral embellishments. Jones poses with a sultry demeanor, anchored by a come-hither look.

Her head shots also finds her channeling Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. Jones gently teases her cropped blonde hair s she cups her face in both hands.

Albeit looking too pretty to handle, Jones shares that she started losing her self-confidence when she started growing into her good looks. In an interview with ET, Jones shared that she became more insecure when she got “pretty”.

“I was at my most confident as a kid,” she said as she shares pictures of awkward, 9-year-old self to fans. “It actually wasn’t until I got into high school and started to get quote-unquote pretty that my confidence started to disappear. So I want to give the message that girls can be proud and self-assured no matter what funky haircut they have,” Jones said while showing a picture of her soup bowl haircut.

Jones also said that she feels sexy and vulnerable without makeup. Despite having said so, she still relies on luscious red lip color to glam herself up.  “It’s like you’ve put your armor on for the day,” she says.

  • January Jones Cast in “Last Man on Earth” TV Comedy

Mad Men‘s January Jones has reportedly been cast in the new futuristic Fox television comedy The Last Man on Earth. But that’s all we know.

The producers have been extremely hush-hush about any information about the upcoming show including casting details. Jones will be playing a “strong independent” character named “Melissa.” She joins Kristen Schaal (The Daily Show) as “Carol,” Mel Rodriguez (Community) as an optimistic character named “Todd,” and Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up Revolution) as “Erica.”

The single-camera half-hour show follows Phil Miller, played by Saturday Night Live’s‘s Will Forte, who searches 2022 America for other signs of human life after an unknown event wipes out the entire population of Earth. Speculation is that the other actors will appear in flashbacks.

As well as starring in Last Man, Forte also created and wrote the series. The pilot is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street).

In addition to Last Man, Jones will also return to Mad Men as Betty Draper for the final seven episodes in 2015. She began her career with supporting roles in films such as Anger Management, Love Actually, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, and the love interest of Paul Finch and Steve Stifler in American Wedding.

Jones hosted Saturday Night Live in 2009 while Will Forte was a cast member. Her performance was met with negative reviews mostly due to the fact that she started her first sketch audibly asking, “Which camera?” However, the rest of the show didn’t go well, either.

Perhaps it was just difficult to live up to naturally funny Jon Hamm (Mad Men) who first hosted SNL in 2008.

But the SNL failure hasn’t seemed to hurt Jones’ career too badly. She recently sold her 2,200 square foot California home for $1.37 million.

The Last Man on Earth will premiere on March 1, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. with back-to-back episodes. The regular time slot will be Sundays at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.

  • January Jones Plays Prank on Ex-Boyfriend

January Jones Plays Prank on Ex-Boyfriend

During her segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Friday, actress January Jones recounted how she’d pulled a fast one on her high school ex- boyfriend, Sioux Falls, South Dakota Realtor Tony Erickson.

The preemptive April Fool’s prank began on Thursday, when Erickson noticed a few missed calls from a Los Angeles area code at his Hegg ReaItors office. When he’d finally picked up, it was Jones, 36, at the other end, a fellow Roosevelt High School alum. Erickson commented, “This is the last person I thought would be calling me. I hadn’t talked to her in 20 years.”

Jones told him she was flying into Sioux Falls on Friday with the intention of buying some property, and wanted Erickson to meet her at Sioux Falls Regional Airport with some options put together. Erickson compiled some $1 million to $2 million property listings and went to the airport.

“I really didn’t know what to think. It kind of took me off guard,” Erickson said. “So I asked her more what she was looking for. She played along with it well. Obviously, she’s a fantastic actress.”

When Erickson arrived at the airport, he was met by five fellow employees, one of which had paper over her face with an image of Jones on it. Erickson then realized he’d been tricked, and Jones texted him to tell him to tune into her Fallon appearance on Friday. Jones sure enough began describing the prank, adding that “He (Erickson) broke my heart 20 years ago. He deserved it.”

Erickson’s wife Christine, who was in on the prank, said “Nobody deserves it more than he does. He’s sent people from his office on wild goose chases.” Tony Erickson added, “It was pretty funny. She did a great job. But as soon as Jimmy Fallon said my name the first time, I thought that was it. And right away I’m getting texts and Facebook messages, and it’s still pretty crazy.”

January Jones is best known for playing Betty Draper on AMC’s critically acclaimed hit series Mad Men, which will commence its final season on April 13th.

  • January Jones Did A Racy Bathtub Photo Shoot

Just ahead of the season premiere of “Mad Men”, January Jones has done a racy, stunning bathtub photo shoot for The Violet Files, showing off her slender frame in violet bathwater and posing in fur on a couch.

The 36-year old blonde beauty said in the interview that she likes to be mysterious rather than have her personal business all over the media, and the alluring photos add to that persona.

“I prefer to remain mysterious and have people make their own judgment calls about me than to always have to explain who I am and what I’m about,” she said.

The actress posted a few of the shots on her Instagram page.

Not one who’s afraid to show some skin, Jones showed up for her interview with Jimmy Fallon on Friday wearing a black jumpsuit with lace cutouts that prevented her from wearing underwear. She kept it classy, however, and didn’t give the audience any accidental peeks.

“Mad Men” is scheduled to return on April 13.

  • January Jones Broke up Hemsworth and Cyrus?

Is January Jones to blame for the break-up of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus? According to both star’s reps, this she isn’t the reason for the split, but did contribute.

Sources confirmed for both Cyrus and Hemsworth, that the engagement had been officially called off. They stated that it was “Miley’s decision, after coming to grips with Liam being what she believed was less than faithful to her.”

The recent gossip was that Hemsworth had been “sexting” Jones. One message, sent by Hemsworth, read: “I want to [expletive] you”.

Hemsworth’s rep denied the rumors even though it is against their policy to comment on their client’s personal life. “We officially never comment on his personal life, however we are breaking with tradition to set the record straight. The story of Liam Hemsworth and January Jones is entirely fabricated. There is no truth whatsoever to this tabloid fiction.”

The ex-couple met in March of 2010 while they were filming the popular Nicholas Sparks film, “The Last Song”. Rumors began circulating then, but the news that they were dating was not confirmed until the movie’s premiere. After a couple years of the on again off again relationship, they confirmed their engagement in June 2012. Then earlier this month the rumors started about Hemsworth and Jones, then Cyrus un-followed Hemsworth on Twitter, and now the couple has officially called it quits.

  • January Jones: Not Out to Steal Liam…But Should Be

Rumors of racy text messages between Miley’s “mortified” squeeze, Liam Hemsworth and January Jones are being vehemently denied by their respective representatives, though the world would totally understand Hemsworth’s desire to seek companionship elsewhere. UPI reports that Hemsworth’s rep said, “The story of Liam Hemsworth and January Jones is entirely fabricated by US Weekly. There is no truth whatsoever to this tabloid fiction”.

While Miley is on a daily mission to “sext” the world, her relationship with Hemsworth appears to be crumbling. Rumors started when Liam, 23, and January Jones, 35, were spotted leaving an Oscar party together, right around the time Miley ditched her engagement ring.

And more recently, sources close to the couple say Hemsworth is “just weeks from calling [their engagement] off permanently.” They said he found Cyrus’s raunchy performance at the MTV Video Awards “mortifying” and “he is over her.” The troubled pair were last seen in public together at the Los Angeles premiere of Hemsworth’s latest thriller “Paranoia.”

  • January Jones Stealing Miley’s Man?

    January Jones Stealing Miley’s Man?

Amidst rumors that their relationship is over, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are in the headlines today after Hemsworth reportedly sent a racy text to “Mad Men” actress January Jones.

Hemsworth and Cyrus have allegedly been on the rocks for several months now, and speculation that it’s the reason behind Cyrus’s new sex-pot image has been running rampant online. According to Us Weekly, Hemsworth took the opportunity to let his feelings for Jones be known in a text that read, “I want to f*** you.” His rep, however, denies it vehemently.

“The story of Liam Hemsworth and January Jones is entirely fabricated by US Weekly. There is no truth whatsoever to this tabloid fiction,” the rep said.

It’s not the first time the duo have been linked to one another; in March, they reportedly got close at a pre-Oscar party, with a “source” saying they were making out after a few drinks.

“They went to a private house party, and right in the middle of the party, January was clinging to Liam, saying, ‘You’re so handsome. He kept saying, ‘We can’t do this here.’ Then they left holding hands and went out in the hallway and were making out. She was wasted. It wasn’t good.”

Jones has had no comment on the rumors.

  • Mad Men’s January Jones Eats Her Own Placenta

January Jones does a wonderful job at making us believe she would never do anything controversial when she inhabits the role of uptight, beautiful blonde Betty Draper on AMC’s “Mad Men“. However, the same can’t be said for her in real life.

The new mom, who wasn’t in last night’s premiere episode because the birth of her son coincided with filming, says she eats her own placenta to combat fatigue and post-partum depression and “suggests it to all moms

Now, before you get all squirmy or throw up in your mouth envisioning her cutting off pieces of placenta steak, it should be said that the placenta itself was dehydrated after the birth of her son and put into capsule form. So basically, all she has to do is pop a pill.

Still, the idea of ingesting one’s own placenta isn’t an idea that many people are comfortable with–or will be. But Jones–who says she was wary of trying it at first–now insists it’s just a natural part of the birthing process.

“It’s something I was very hesitant about, but we’re the only mammals who don’t ingest our own placentas,” she told People Magazine.

While it might sound strange to some, this is not a new practice and there are several websites that offer placenta recipes (Warning: if you have a weak stomach, don’t click on the above link). Funny to imagine her in full Betty Draper dress, apron and all, eating placenta.

  • Mad Men Comes Back to AMC After 17 Month Hiatus

The cast and creator, Matt Weiner, of Mad Men made an appearance on the Today show with Matt Lauer.

Mad Men has been on hiatus for 17 months and will return on Sunday with a two hour season premiere.

Weiner says that the decision to take the long break was AMC’s decision.

The cast had mixed feelings about what the final impact of the delay would be. January Jones (Betty Draper) had a baby while on break and seemed to enjoy the time to bond with her infant who is now six months old.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

John Slattery (Roger Sterling) feels that the hiatus was unfortunately long but said fans were able to DVR shows and “find the show in ways you couldn’t before. So we’re actually hoping it whetted peoples’ appetites more.”

John Hamm (Don Draper) jokingly said the time off allowed people to get gender reassignment surgery.

In an attempt to provide viewers with an overview of the show, Weiner noted that one of the show’s appeals is that it never shows people in black-or-white shades; everyone lives in a world of gray. “It’s also not judgmental,” he said. “There’s something about it that embraces on some level that we are flawed people…. People behave badly; it’s why the 10 commandments are there.”

He also went on to explain that it comforts sinners in that no matter how far they wander off the righteous path they couldn’t possibly be as naughty as these characters.

Do you think that the show lost fans for taking such a long break?

Twitter users are going mad over the premiere and many are planning a party to honor the show’s return.

I will be looking forward to watching January Jones reclaim her role as Betty, the pervasively discontent Barbie doll.
