  • Bruce Jenner: Sons Outraged Over Insensitive Photo

Bruce Jenner has two sons–Brandon and Brody Jenner–and both are outraged over the insensitive photo of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s head photoshopped onto the image of a woman on a recent InTouch magazine cover.

The photo was accompanied by the title, Bruce’s Story: My life as a woman, and featured the former Olympian wearing lots of red lipstick.

Bruce Jenner’s face was superimposed over that of British actress and former Dynasty star Stephanie Beacham’s.

In addition to Brandon and Brody Jenner, the tabloid cover and article outraged many others, too.

Janet Mock, is an American trans author, journalist and activist. She’s made no bones over finding the cover and article highly offensive. After berating the publication for hinting that being either a woman or being trans is offensive, she had the following to say.

‘”Here’s a headline: Bruce Jenner is whoever Bruce Jenner says he is,” Mock said during a recent interview.

Brody and Brandon Jenner found the cover shot and article not only insensitive to Bruce Jenner, but to the LGBT community as well.

“The magazine cover didn’t come as a surprise to the brothers, but they both feel it’s very insensitive to the LGBT community,” a source told RadarOnline.

“Both Brandon and Brody are both very strong supporters of LGBT people. They’re standing by their dad through this. In the meantime, Brandon and Brody will continue to support their dad, and if he does indeed make the transition to being a woman, their feelings for him won’t change.”

Bruce Jenner has even garnered support from his ex-wife Kris Jenner, who called the entire incident ‘mean.’

Fortunately for Bruce Jenner, he doesn’t really seem to care about what the tabloids print. His friends claim he pays no attention to what is written about him.

Do you think Bruce Jenner will one day come out as transgender or is all this hype simply much ado about nothing?

  • Bruce Jenner Gets Back To Work After InTouch Cover Scandal

Last week, Bruce Jenner made the news after InTouch released a cover featuring a badly doctored image of Jenner wearing make-up. The headline claimed to be about Jenner’s “life as a trans woman”, however, there were no quotes from Jenner and anyone else from the Kardashian clan contained inside. The cover was immediately deemed offensive, and had its detractors. However, sources claim that Jenner really doesn’t care all that much about the scandal. In fact, he went back to work the day after the cover was released.

On Thursday, January 15, Jenner was spotted filming his reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians. The star kept a low profile, but it’s clear that all the hoopla surrounding the cover didn’t bother him. It’s another story when it comes to Kris Jenner and the rest of the Kardashian clan though. Sources claim that Kris was so offended by the cover, that she banned InTouch from any press events involving her family.

Kris isn’t the only one who was offended by the cover. Various celebrities have also spoken out in support of Bruce, especially those with close ties with the LGBT community. In an episode of her new program, commentator and trans advocate Janet Mock, spoke out against In Touch’s actions. “What’s wrong is a magazine aiming to humiliate someone by labeling them a transgender woman, as if being trans and being a woman is an insult,” Mock said “Here’s a headline: Bruce Jenner is whoever Bruce Jenner says he is.”

Comedian Russel Brand also weighed in on the cover controversy on his YouTube show, The Trews. Brand called InTouch’s actions “dystopian-esque bullying”. Brand said, “Doesn’t this seem like when you see Blade Runner, or some dystopian thing – when you see a bit of telly in a film from the future, and everything’s a bit ‘Hello, we’re evil now!’. It’s such a celebration of the worst aspects of human values. This is bullying. Stop. Bruce Jenner is a human being.”
