  • Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson: “Fifty Shades of Grey” Stars Big Winners at Razzies

Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson: “Fifty Shades of Grey” Stars Big Winners at Razzies

Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, and their film–Fifty Shades of Grey–were all big winners at the Razzies on Saturday evening.

The Golden Raspberry Awards is a spoof of the Hollywood award season. E! News reports that “more than 900 members from 48 states and 20 foreign countries cast their vote for the films that may not have been so critically acclaimed.”

Fifty Shades of Grey, Jamie Dornan, and Dakota Johnson won big. Johnson took the Razzie for Worst Actress. Jamie Dornan was awarded Worst Actor. Fifty Shades of Grey tied with Fantastic 4 for Worst Picture. It won for Worst Screenplay. Last, but not least, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were awarded the Razzie for Worst Screen Combo.

This has to take at least some of the wind out of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson’s sails, as filming for the movie’s sequel–Fifty Shades Darker–is already underway.

Does it sound like The Razzies was out to get Fifty Shades of Grey in just about every way imaginable? There were other “winners” on Saturday, but none won multiple awards like Fifty Shades and its actors.

Fifty Shades Darker is set for release on February 10, 2017–just in time for another hot and steamy Valentine’s Day. That likely means Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson can expect more Razzies in the next couple of years.

Were you a fan of Fifty Shades, as well as Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the red room? Are you among those not quite understanding why the film and its actors were awarded so many Razzies?

There may be a support group somewhere for that.

  • Jamie Dornan Cracked Jokes All Through 50 Shades Shoot

Jamie Dornan is making Amazon history, but he’s joking all the way.

Josh Wolford reported previously that Fifty Shades of Grey has beaten an impressive list of other popular movies for the bragging rights as Biggest Amazon Digital Pre-Order of All Time.

    The list looked like this:

    1. Fifty Shades of Grey
    2. Frozen
    3. Guardians of the Galaxy
    4. American Sniper
    5. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1
    6. Maleficent
    7. X-Men: Days of Future Past
    8. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
    9. How to Train Your Dragon 2
    10. Star Wars (bundle)

Jamie Dornan, of course, starred as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the popular erotica book by E.L. James. And now he is suiting up to take on the role again in the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker.

E.L. James’ husband Niall Leonard is penning Fifty Shades Darker, which is slated for February, 2017. Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley said, “He actually did a draft that wasn’t credited on the first movie, and he did a really good job.”

Langley says Fifty Shades Darker will be “more of a thriller.” But Jamie Dornan’s co-star Dakota Johnson says Dornan kept the mood light all throughout the shoot of the first movie.

“Jamie came in and was cracking jokes the whole time and was trying to like out-joke me. He made it light and that was so different from what other people were doing. It was really awesome, it was really refreshing,” she said.

Jamie Dornan admits that he didn’t see himself in the role at first.

“I knew for a while they were making the movie, I didn’t immediately think, ‘Oh yeah, that’s me. I’m the guy.’ I was told to make an audition tape. Then had to fly to LA to test,”

  • Matt Lauer Gets Back at Ellen DeGeneres With Prank

Matt Lauer has been pranked by Ellen DeGeneres one too many times. He shared how he got back at the daytime talk show host today on The Today Show.

“We’ve been the target of several pranks by a young lady,” Matt Lauer said of Ellen DeGeneres’s successful history of pranking him, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and even former Today show co-host Meredith Vieira.

It was last month when Ellen played a good one on Matt Lauer. Enlisting the help of some computer imaging experts, she dressed Lauer in a bondage outfit for his interview with Fifty Shades of Grey stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

“I vowed I would get revenge and the moment has finally arrived,” Lauer said Thursday. “We’re done with your cocky pronouncements.”

Matt Lauer had help from members of The Today Show staff in the planning of his revenge.

While Ellen DeGeneres was safely inside her studio taping an episode of her show, Matt and his helpers loaded up 20,000 ping-pong balls inside her Porsche Cayenne. When she opened the door to her vehicle later in the day, they came bouncing out and rolling all over the ground.

She knew immediately Matt Lauer was behind the prank.

Now Matt Lauer needs to watch out. Ellen DeGeneres will definitely get him back–again. And she’s really very good in that arena.

How long do you suppose this pranking will last between Matt Lauer and Ellen DeGeneres? Will one of them eventually admit defeat and call a truce?

  • Kim Cattrall Disses ‘Fifty Shades’ Star Jamie Dornan

Kim Cattrall majorly dissed Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan recently. Why? It seems the former Sex and the City star doesn’t find Dornan to be attractive–not in the least.

“Maybe it’s my age, but he doesn’t look like a man to me,” Cattrall said during a recent interview with The Independent. “He looks like a young boy. I like men to look like men.”

Kim Cattrall went on to say she has no plans to see Fifty Shades of Grey either.

“I saw the preview and you know they say in three seconds you can tell if you find someone attractive or not?” she asked. “Well, I just thought, ‘No.’”

Fortunately for Jamie Dornan and his costar Dakota Johnson, most people find both actors very attractive. Who might meet that criteria in Kim Cattrall’s book?

“Now, if he were Brendan Gleeson–well, there’s a little something going on there, you know, the twinkle in the eye,” Kim Cattrall admitted.

Brendan Gleeson is an actor probably best known for his role as Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody in the Harry Potter series of films.

Do you suppose the producers of Fifty Shades of Grey will consider Kim Cattrall and her perception of sexy if there’s a second film in the cards? Probably not. She is likely in a minority when it comes to not finding Jamie Dornan attractive.

Do you agree with Kim Cattrall? Do you think Jamie Dornan looks like a young boy or do you find him to be a very attractive man?

  • Kim Cattrall Doesn’t Find Jamie Dornan Attractive. At All.

Kim Cattrall is known for her sexy roles and her male counterparts.

Kim Cattrall likes to oggle men, but apparently not Jamie Dornan.

Not even a little. And he is apparently the reason that Kim Cattrall won’t ever see 50 Shades of Grey.

Kim Cattrall told The Independent that he is not attractive to her.

She said, “Maybe it’s my age, but he doesn’t look like a man to me. He looks like a young boy. I like men to look like men. I saw the preview and you know they say in three seconds you can tell if you find someone attractive or not? Well, I just thought, ‘no’.”

She added, “Now, if he were Brendan Gleeson – well, there’s a little something going on there, you know, the twinkle in the eye… ”

So, Kim Cattrall likes a different Irish boy.

Brendan Gleeson is known for his roles in Edge of Tomorrow and Troy.

    Yep, must be her age.

Kim Cattrall also seems to like the Irish pubs.

She will return to Dublin this month for a screening of Sensitive Skin at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.

She said of some of those Irish pubs, “We went to three or four at the [Tiger’s Tail] wrap party, but I had too much to drink to remember the names.”

So I guess if you’re going to Ireland, Kim Cattrall can tell you the best men to look for, but don’t bother asking her to remember the names of the great pubs you should go to.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGoG5IrauXA

What do you think about Kim Cattrall’s opinion of Jamie Dornan? Do you agree with her in her assessment of him?

Would you rather have seen Brendan Gleeson in that role?

I just don’t think there will be too many ladies who agree with her on that one.

  • Kim Cattrall Isn’t Falling For All The Jamie Dornan Hype

Kim Cattrall enjoyed many successful years with her role on Sex And The City as a sexually liberated woman, and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. Now, she’s gaining some attention on the web with some comments she made about Fifty Shades Of Grey star Jamie Dornan and how he looks like a “young boy“.

Cattrall said she just doesn’t get why so many people find him attractive and isn’t interested in the hype surrounding the film, which shattered box office records when it was released on Valentine’s Day.

“Maybe it’s my age, but he doesn’t look like a man to me. He looks like a young boy. I like men to look like men. I saw the preview and you know they say in three seconds you can tell if you find someone attractive or not? Well, I just thought, ‘No.’” she said in an interview with The Independent.

As most fans of the books know, Dornan came aboard the film when Sons Of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam backed out, reportedly due to a scheduling conflict. However, rumors flew around the web that he let go of the plum role because he was afraid of being mocked by the Sons crew. When Dornan snagged the job, many were divided about the decision around the web.

If it’s any consolation to Dornan fans, the actor knows he looks young for his age, which is why he usually rocks facial hair.

“From when I was 12 to when I was 27, I looked aggressively young for my age. I hated it. I think that’s why I love having a beard — it’s some kind of proof that you’re a man,” he told Glamour.

  • Gillian Anderson, Jamie Dornan Return To ‘The Fall’ For A Third And Final Season

The Fall, the Belfast-set psychological thriller starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, is set to return for a third season. In the show, Anderson plays police detective Stella Gibson while Dornan plays serial killer Paul Spector. The show proved to be a hit not only in the United Kingdom, but also internationally through Netflix. The series, which is created by Alan Cubitt, will be concluding it’s storyline in the third season which will feature five episodes. The second season finale, which ended with a cliffhanger, was watched by 3.6 million consolidated viewers with a 12.7 percent share.

Cubitt had nothing but kind words for BBC executives Kim Shillinglaw, Ben Stephenson and Stephen Wright. According to the showrunner, season 2’s cliffhanger was made “in the hope of further exploring the characters and the themes that are at the heart of The Fall”. According to Stephenson, it was clear that Cubitt has a plan for The Fall and that greenlighting the show for a third and final season makes perfect sense. “The story is far from over. Allan has known the end game from the beginning — the cat-and-mouse game between Gillian and Jamie has one last act to play out. Who will win?” Stephenson said.

Jamie Dornan got his start when he was cast in the role of Spector in The Fall. He has since become a huge star because of his role as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation. Dornan famously said that his role as a serial killer in The Fall left him scarred.

The show has been criticized for its portrayal of violence against women, however, Anderson (who is also one of the show’s producers) said that it’s actually vilifying misogyny. Talking about her character, Anderson said, “She makes it very clear how she feels about violence against women, how these women are represented and how they are perceived. She is a supporter of women and women being treated respectfully and she doesn’t mince words. It’s in her bones. I like that about her.”

  • Netflix Acquires Jamie Dornan-Starring ‘Jadotville’

    Netflix Acquires Jamie Dornan-Starring ‘Jadotville’

Netflix has picked up Jadotville, a war drama starring Fifty Shades of Grey’s Jamie Dornan for a 2016 debut. The movie will go into production in April, with shooting locations in Ireland and South Africa.

Netflix acquired the film at the Berlin Film Festival. Here’s the description:

A gripping true story of incredible bravery against impossible odds, the film thrillingly depicts the 1961 siege of a 150-strong Irish UN battalion under Commander Patrick Quinlan (Dornan) by 3,000 Congolese troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies. Canet plays a French commander who sought to defeat Quinlan and his men.

The film is directed by Richie Smyth and written by Kevin Brodbin (Constantine). Alan Moloney will produce for Parallel Films.

“The story of how Pat Quinlan led his troops against an overwhelming force without losing a single man is one of the great stories of the 20th century, and we are proud to be working with such a talented and committed team to bring it to life,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “This film will be an amazing addition to our global original films initiative.”

“As filmmakers, we are constantly looking for new ways to bring a movie to the largest possible audience. Netflix has already reinvented the TV market and is now moving front and center into the film business. We are proud and excited to be part of their story and innovation,” said Parallel Films’ Alan Moloney.

Also at the Berlin Film Festival, Netflix screened Better Call Saul, Bloodline, What Happened, Miss Simone?, and Chef’s Table.

Netflix also just released a new trailer for forthcoming documentary My Own Man from executive producer Edward Norton.

  • Anastasia Steele: Christian Grey Buys Rope in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Teaser

Anastasia Steele is the character played by Dakota Johnson–the one everyone is wondering about and talking about prior to the release of Fifty Shades of Grey. A new teaser clip features Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan) buying rope, and other bondage supplies, for use in his Red Room–his S&M chamber. Of course Steele–who works at the hardware store where Christian Grey procures his supplies–doesn’t know what he’s buying his supplies for at this point in the film.

“Rope, tape, cable ties, you’re the complete serial killer,” Anastasia Steele jokes with Christian Grey in the sneak peek.

“Not today,” Mr Grey smirks, no doubt anticipating what’s in store.

The teaser clip is a prelude to several tense encounters between the two, before Anastasia Steele is introduced to what is considered by many to be sexually deviant behavior.

“Are you redecorating?” she asks innocently.

Fifty Shades of Grey was recently given an ’18 & Over’ rating in the UK, meaning that many teens, who likely hoped they could see the film, won’t be able to do so. The film is rated ‘R’ in the U.S., meaning that anyone 17 and over can view the film unaccompanied. Those under 17 are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Another new clip features both Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey as things are heating up. It also affords viewers a slower, even sexier version of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love.’

Will you be checking out Anastasia Steele as Christian Grey familiarizes her with the world of sexual exploration that takes place inside his Red Room? Fifty Shades of Grey is set to premiere in U.S. theaters on February 13th.

  • Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson Talk ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Red Room

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson–stars of the upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey–spoke during a recent interview about the filming scenes involving the Red Room. As anyone who read Fifty Shades of Grey knows, the Red Room is where sexual acts involving both bondage and submission took place.

The actors, who play the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively, appear on the cover of the March issue of Glamour magazine, and within its pages they share details about the film that will make some blush without ever stepping inside a theater.

Prior to divulging too many details, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson talked about getting ready–and in shape–for the film.

“It wasn’t six hours a day. You don’t want to turn to your heavily pregnant wife and say, ‘I’m going to the gym for six hours. Text me if you go into labor,’”Dornan joked about his wife Amelia Warner, who gave birth back in November.

“Jamie and I actually shared a trainer. It was important to me that Ana’s body look like that of an active college student. And I was going be naked, so I wanted to look good. I did a lot of working out and had more waxing than any woman should have!” Dakota Johnson shared.

Johnson was the first to spill about the Red Room.

“The scenes in that room were definitely the most vulnerable scenes in the movie. But it was a very closed set. My mom [Melanie Griffith] told me that it’s my right to ask for that during intimate scenes, so it seemed like [Dornan and Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director, and I] were in this little world together,” she said.

Jamie Dornan had no problem admitting that shooting the Red Room scenes made him uncomfortable.

“There were times when Dakota was not wearing much, and I had to do stuff to her that I’d never choose to do to a woman,” he said.

Johnson was quick to say that Jamie Dornan was a perfect gentleman, however.

“I felt very protective and aware that it probably wasn’t easy for her to be put in those situations, and exposed,” she said.

Do these comments from Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson about filming scenes in the Red Room make it more or less likely that you’ll see Fifty Shades of Grey? The film is set to hit theaters on February 13th.

  • Jamie Dornan on ‘Fifty Shades’ BDSM Scenes, Says Men More Submissive

Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan dished recently with Elle UK about his role as Christian Grey, and explained what he’s learned about BDSM (which according to Urban Dictionary is an overlapping abbreviation of Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, as well as Sadism and Masochism), and his firm belief that men are far more submissive than women.

Dornan insists, however, that the upcoming film is more than just a plethora of kinky sex scenes.

“The love story is more important than the BDSM aspect,” he says. “I mean, we are going to tell a love story, you know? It can’t just be what happens in the red room. That’s not a film.”

Critics have labeled Fifty Shades of Grey as anti-feminist, but Dornan says that simply isn’t true.

“I can understand why people say tying a woman up and spanking her is misogynistic,” says Dornan, who visited a sex dungeon to prepare for his role. “But actually, more men are submissive than women. Very powerful men. It’s a far bigger scene than I imagined: in pretty much any city in the world that you could name, people want to get spanked with a paddle with studs on it.”

Jamie Dornan explained how he prepared for his role.

“I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did…whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives. I was like, ‘Come on guys, I know I’m not paying for this, but I am expecting a show,” he said. “It was an interesting evening.”

Dornan kept his sex dungeon visit under wraps, until now.

“You don’t do it to have some guy sitting in a f–king bush outside your house with a camera. That’s not why you do it,” he says of playing a role like Christian Grey and of his life as an actor. “I just couldn’t do an office job; I don’t have that temperament. But yeah, I don’t know how you can prepare for it. You can’t get in sandbags. Buy loads of hoodies and caps? I’ll deal with it when it comes. I feel pretty secure about who I am. It’s not my first time at the rodeo.”

How will fans react to these upcoming scenes in which Jamie Dornan stars? Might he forever be typecast once he stars on the big screen as Christian Grey?

Has he uncovered some truly uncomfortable information about the secret lives many seemingly ‘normal’ men undoubtedly live?

  • Gillian Anderson: Distracted by Naked Jamie Dornan

While filming the second season of the BBC drama, The Fall, actress Gillian Anderson admitted that she couldn’t stop picturing co-star Jamie Dornan naked.

Although Dornan, who will be appearing as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the best-selling novel Fifty Shades of Grey, said “no” to full-frontal nudity in the erotic/romantic drama film, that didn’t stop Anderson’s imagination.

“I could only see him naked from the moment he walked in,” she joked to the BBC. “It was really distracting.”

The Fall follows Anderson as detective Stella Gibson on the hunt for Paul Spector (Dornan), a serial killer. Although the first season the two only had a few scenes together, mainly by phone, Dornan said that he and Anderson’s chemistry was undeniable.

“I think that it’s so clever. The fact that there is such chemistry and it’s done through any lack of physical contact,” he said. “It’s just down to great writing, very smartly crafted.”

Given the seriousness of the show, Dornan was appreciative of the lightness of the cast and crew during filming.

“On a general level it’s a pretty fun set. It’s the same crew as the first series. So we are like a big family,” the 32-year-old said.

“I’d love to be known as a prankster but no,” he added. “I’m not hiding stuff in Gillian’s trailer or anything like that.”

Anderson, known for her role as Special Agent Dana Scully on the 1990s television series The X-Files, has played her fair share of powerful women including Hannibal Lecter’s therapist Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier on NBC’s Hannibal, set to return for a third season next year.

“[Du Maurier} is a very complicated character that we are still learning about what her modus operandi is and where she stands in all of it, but I wouldn’t necessarily use her as an example [of a strong female character],” Anderson said with a laugh.

As far as Dornan goes, Anderson is unsure of how his role in Grey will turn out, partially nude or not.

“The movie hasn’t even come out – he might suck,” Anderson joked.

Fifty Shades of Grey will be released in the U.S. on February 13, 2015.

The second season of The Fall began Thursday, November 13 on BBC One.

  • Gillian Anderson Talks Nude Jamie Dornan and Possible X-Files Sequel

Fifty Shades of Grey fans aren’t the only ones who can’t stop thinking about Jamie Dornan naked. His co-stars cannot either.

Gillian Anderson and Dornan star in The Fall, where they play a detective and a serial killer, respectively. On Thursday, The Fall premiered its second season on BBC2. During The Fall promotional tour, Anderson discussed some of the fans’ most pressing questions and spoke about working with Dornan.

Season 1 of The Fall had no face-to-face interaction between its leads. Anderson and Dornan’s only scenes together involved phone conversations. The Fall season 2 finally transitions their characters from on the phone conversations to in-person ones. So Anderson shared her thoughts on Dornan’s acting and demeanor.

“Jamie’s a great guy, really grounded and funny and personable and lovely to everybody and works very hard. He gets an opportunity in the second season to show how good an actor he is. I think that was an effort on (writer-director Allan Cubitt’s) part to create some meatier stuff,” Anderson told the Canadian Press.

Besides admiring his talents, Anderson did admit his upcoming gig as Christian Grey has tainted her thoughts about the actor. “I could only see him naked from the moment he walked in. It was really distracting,” she jokingly said.

    — BBC Two (@BBCTwo) November 13, 2014

Dornan won’t be doing a full-frontal nude scene in Fifty Shades of Grey. In his interview with the Guardian, he revealed that it’s in his contract for viewers not to see everything.

    — BBC Two (@BBCTwo) October 28, 2014

Anderson also recently went on ITV’s This Morning to discuss The Fall. She left fans with a shocker: she still believes that “the truth is out there.”

When asked about whether the X-Files could return either in television or film form, she responded: "Yes, there is a possibility." She gave more explanation by saying, "There is always a possibility, it's always a matter of it actually happening - and there's a lot that needs to happen between the idea and actually turning up on set, and I don't unfortunately have any control over that. But would I do it? I would, yes."
The Fall's second season makes its US debut on January 16 on Netflix.

  • No Full Frontal: We Won’t Get To See Jamie Dornan’s Todger

Fans who will be flocking to see the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey in hopes of seeing Jamie Dornan go completely nude will be in for a disappointment. The 32-year-old actor has confirmed in an interview with The Guardian that he won’t be going nude for the film. “There were contracts in place that said that viewers wouldn’t be seeing my, um… yeah, my todger”, Dornan told the paper. He follows, “You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. You don’t want to make something gratuitous, and ugly, and graphic.”

In 2010, the male nudity clause was added to ratings systems after parents complained about the nudity in the film Borat. Countless films have been flagged for nudity, but there are three recent examples of films being flagged for male nudity in particular: Eat Pray Love, Jackass 3D, and Grown Ups.

    — WESH 2 News (@WESH) November 3, 2014

The upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film is based on the best-selling book by EL James about the relationship between billionaire Christian Grey and student Anastacia Steele. The novel’s themes focus heavily on subjects like bondage, dominance and submission, and sadism/masochism.

This recent development regarding the lack of nudity in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie confirms the speculation that the film will be toned down compared to the raunchy source material.

    — FiftyShadesFan.Org (@FiftyShadesEN) November 3, 2014

Sam Taylor-Johnson, who directed Nowhere Boy, helmed the film adaptation which stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastacia Steele. Dornan managed to nab the highly sought-after role after Charlie Hunnam, of Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim fame, dropped out of the project.

The actor, who describes himself as a feminist, defended the novel against claims that it perpetuates violence against women by saying in the interview that “I think it’s very hard to argue that when it is all consensual. Half the book is about making contracts. Permission and agreement that this be done. There’s no rape, no forced sexual situations.”

Fifty Shades of Grey will be shown in theaters in February 2015.

  • Fifty Shades of Grey Film Releases New Photos, But Dornan Insists Film Won’t Be “Grotesque”

    “Oh my…”

Since July the trailer for the upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey is the most-watched of 2014 with over 36 million views. The film is based on the best-selling book by E.L. James which has sold more than 100 million copies and has been translated into 52 different languages.

As badly written as the book is, it has gained a huge following worldwide and many readers are antici…pating the release of the film which stars Jamie Dornan (Once Upon a Time) and Dakota Johnson (The Social Network, 21 Jump Street).

Last week the Fifty Shades of Grey Twitter account released another promotional photo to taunt fans, although the picture were quite tame. However, like most readers of the book know, it’s what is behind closed doors that matters.

The first photo shoes Anastasia Steele (Johnson) deep in thought with a “Grey” pencil resting on her lower lip. (Even those who haven’t read the book can guess about the hints behind this one.) The photo was in celebration of the character’s birthday.

In June, the promotional Twitter account also released a picture of Christian Grey in celebration of his birthday. Again, the photo is tame – except for what is behind Mr. Grey’s eyes.

But despite of the content of the first book of the erotic trilogy, actor Jamie Dornan insists that the film won’t be “grotesque.”

“You’ve got to make something a large amount of people can go and see,” he said, adding, “I mean, in some ways, it’ll break a few boundaries. But at the same time, they want to put bums on seats. They can’t alienate an audience. You know it has to be watchable. It can’t be hardcore. I wouldn’t have signed up for it if it was.”

Of course, the 32-year-old actor also isn’t one to shy away from the explicit scenes he has to do with Johnson.

“It’s just work. It’s strange work, sure, but it’s still work. I just get on with it.”

Dornan even mentioned that his father had encouraged him to take on the role of Christian Grey.

“[Dad] was all for it. I don’t come from a cagey family. We’re fairly liberal.”

The film, directed by Sam Taylor Johnson, opens in theaters on February 13. The perfect Valentine’s Day date or not? Either way, theaters across the country will be full of women ready to hear that those two words every Fifty Shades fan wants to hear: “Laters, baby.”

  • ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Teaser: Beyonce Shares on Instagram

Fifty Shades of Grey is one step closer to being a reality with a short teaser shared on Instagram by none other than Beyonce. Of course with Beyonce doing the posting, speculation of her involvement with the project–most likely on the soundtrack level–was ferociously fueled.

The teaser features lots of heavy breathing, but anyone who read even just one of the books in the Fifty Shades of Grey series knows that’s a given–and not just in the teaser, but likely throughout a good portion of the film as well.

When Fifty Shades of Grey was presented at CinemaCon in March, Beyonce’s song ‘Haunted’ played in the background. In the clip she posted on Instagram, ‘Crazy In Love’ is playing.

As you can see, an official trailer is said to be coming on Thursday. Might that include lead characters Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele?

The following is the very first glimpse at Fifty Shades of Grey that was made available to fans back in January.

Fifty Shades of Grey is, of course, based on the trilogy of books–the first of which bears the same name–by author E.L. James. Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing the film. It is due out in theaters on February 11th, 2015.

Do you think Beyonce will be gracing the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack or is she simply a bona fide fan? Will you be checking out the film when it hits theaters next winter?

  • Jamie Dornan Shares Personal and Professional Insecurities

Next year Jamie Dornan stars in one of the most buzzed about films of 2015. His role as playboy Christian Grey will expose the 32 year old Irish actor to a wider American audience. However, Dornan developed a flock of loyal fans from his short-stint on ABC’s Once Upon a Time and as serial killer Paul Spector on the British crime drama The Fall. Even with Dornan’s recent success, he still finds it difficult to watch himself on screen, and receive praise for his body.

Recently Dornan spoke to Interview Magazine, where he disclosed some of his acting techniques and troubles. “I find myself approaching it in a slightly less-is-more way. And once you get into something, once you’ve got those first couple of weeks out of the way, really mad or gallant things start to happen” he stated. Dornan also revealed his lack of charisma during auditions. “I never got any better at it. I’m crap at auditions. I know there are people who can walk into those rooms and make those lines sing on the page and get the job immediately. I wasn’t one of them. I’m still not one of them.”

Dornan fans may know that before acting, he modeled underwear. Despite having to show off his body to the world, he’s still insecure about it. Dornan shared, “I don’t like my physique. Who does? I was a skinny guy growing up, and I still feel like that same skinny kid.”

Right now The Fall began production on season 2, which various cast and crew members have shared pictures from the set.

Dornan shared with Interview that he finds something to like about all his characters, including Spector, and that he wants to “keep an element of myself in every character I play.”  Dornan also spoke of another inspiration for Spector: Ted Bundy. “It’s fascinating when you think of somebody you know—a friend of yours, a work colleague, or someone who lives next door to you—and on the surface, you have a regular, normal, placid relationship with them. You’re just totally unaware of what else is going on, which I thought was interesting for Spector. Bundy had two jobs in politics, was a law student, had steady girlfriends, and a good social group. When you watch interviews of him, it’s quite chilling how likable he is.”

Later this year, The Fall premieres season 2; Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters February 13, 2015.

Rita Ora Talks ‘Fifty Shades’ Shenanigans

Rita Ora says lots of shenanigans took place on the set of Fifty Shades of Grey. She plays Christian Grey’s adopted sister in the film that’s set to release in February of 2015.

“Off-set there’s always shenanigans going on, always someone getting picked on, but it’s always having a good time”, she tells during a recent interview.

“You don’t want to work under a pressured environment, especially when you’re making something creative, but it was an incredible (experience). I would do it all over again,” she added.

So who is Mia Grey–Rita Ora’s character in the film that’s based on the E.L. James New York Times best sellers?

“She studies in France, speaks French, and it was a good learning curve for me,” Ora explains.”I prepped for the role by learning some French first of all, by learning an American accent and by really just not being me. I had a brown wig on and I was being the smart girl that came from French school to see her family, so it was just a lot of dedication, it was like going back to school.”

Rita Ora is a British singer whose new song I Will Never Let You Down is making news on radio stations in the U.S. and the U.K. She made her foray on to the film scene with a tiny part in Fast & Furious 6. The actress clearly had a blast filming in Vancouver and loves working with both Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele). She no doubt realizes that this role has the potential of making or breaking her in the Hollywood acting world.

Ora says the content of Fifty Shades of Grey will shock viewers. She won’t be appearing nude, however–to the likely dismay of many of her male fans.

Will you be checking out Rita Ora in her role as Christian Grey’s adopted sister in Fifty Shades of Grey? Do you think Rob Kardashian (Rita’s ex) will be hitting up the box office when the film premieres? It seems the two of them engaged in a few shenanigans themselves–didn’t they?

  • Lindsay Lohan’s Love Conquest List Inaccurate

It was recently reported by In Touch Magazine that wayward Tinseltown ingenue Lindsay Lohan had composed a “personal conquest list” containing the names of 36 Hollywood actors during a night of drunken debauchery on Jan 30th.

Now actor James Franco says that Lindsay’s list lacks credibility, because he’d never slept with the starlet. While promoting his new book of poetry entitled Directing Hebert White in Los Angeles, Franco stated that “Lindsay herself has told lies about me with her people-she’s-slept-with list.”

Last year, Franco had also told Howard Stern that he’d never hooked up with Lohan, adding credibility to his claim. Franco told Stern, “I mean, I don’t want to brag about it. I don’t know how that got out. She was having issues even then, so you feel weird. Honestly, she was a friend. I’ve met a lot of people that are troubled and sometimes you don’t want to do that.”

Franco’s interview with Stern, in its entirety:

In addition to Franco, Lohan’s besotted list of 36 lovers includes the late Heath Ledger, Adam Levine, Zac Efron, Justin Timberlake, Colin Farrell, Joaquin Phoenix, Jamie Dornan, Garrett Hedlund, Wilmer Valderrama, Nico Tortorella, Guy Berryman, Max George, Evan Peters and Lukas Haas. Some names have been blurred out, as these conquests are said to be either married, or in serious relationships.

An eye witness to Lohan’s throwback list-making antics commented that the actress “had to remind herself of who they (the conquests) were” at times while writing down the names and “was trying to impress her friends with the list and then tossed it aside.”

Franco likewise mentions some celebrity names in his new book, but said “I didn’t write anything bad about them, so I feel like what I said is much less than what (Lindsay’s) said.”

  • Jamie Dornan Reveals Secret Weapon For Sex Scenes

Jamie Dornan has a secret weapon to help him prepare for steamy sex scenes … the box sets of Sex and the City!

That’s right, the Fifty Shades of Grey star admitted that he and his co-star, in the new miniseries New Worlds, chilled together while watching reruns of sex-filled television show and learned what characters Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha had to teach them.

“Joe [Dempsie] and I watched all the Sex and the City box sets,” the 31-year-old actor said. “That helped…We had a ball, it was a good fun.”

It was originally reported that Dornan was learning new moves for his role as Christian Grey, however a source confirmed that he was preparing for the romance drama that took place in England. “This was said tongue in cheek and he was referring to New Worlds, not Fifty Shades of Grey,” the source told E! News.

Dornan admits that he “had a ball” on the set of New Worlds, and was really lucky to have cast members that he could really connect and have a good time with. “We had a ball – it was a good craic,” he said. “Sometimes you don’t luck out with the cast, you end up with people who aren’t really on your wavelength and who don’t approach the game the same way but we got genuinely lucky on this,” Dornan continued. “Obviously we’re getting the work done but you’re allowed to have fun at work – I’d stop if I wasn’t allowed to have fun.”

Shortly after finishing up production on the 17th century drama, Dornan was cast in the film adaptation of E.L. James erotic novel, scheduled to debut in theaters in February 2015.

  • Jamie Dornan Gets Some Sex Ed From Kim Cattrall

Although he’s playing a character that’s supposed to be highly sexual, Jamie Dornan said he had no idea how to approach the sex scenes in the up and coming film Fifty Shades of Grey.

    So what did he do?

He got some advice from the pros by watching reruns of Sex and the City, and he said Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha all showed him how to do the deed on camera, without it looking overly fake or corny.

“Joe and I watched all the Sex and the City box sets. That helped,” said Dornan.

He watched the reruns with some cast mates from the show New World in the UK, which is the actors last TV gig since scoring the Fifty Shades role.

In addition, the 31-year-old said being able to do things like watch Sex and the City at work makes his job that much more enjoyable, and if he wasn’t able to blow off some steam on set, he wouldn’t be able to cope.

“We had a ball,” he said. “It was a good craic. Obviously, we’re getting the work done but you’re allowed to have fun at work. I’d stop if I wasn’t allowed to have fun.”

From 2003 to 2005 Dornan dated fellow actress Keira Knightley, and he said since she was so famous, it prepared him for all the craziness that Fifty Shades of Grey would bring him.

“It was a strange environment to find yourself in,” he said about dating Knightley. “Being hounded and followed. It’s really hideous. That scrutiny when you’re older will be easier to take, and I don’t think I’m ever going to be as famous as her.”

Plus, the actor said he never cared for modeling much, despite how successful he’s been at it.

“It’s never given me a thrill [but] it would take a very foolish man to turn down the stuff that was offered to me,” he admitted. “You’re in your twenties, and people are going to give you a silly amount of money to lean against a wall with your head down. F–k me, you’ve got to do it.”
