  • Sienna Miller Gushes Over ‘American Sniper’ Co-star Bradley Cooper

Sienna Miller had nothing but good things to say recently about her American Sniper co-star Bradley Cooper.

According to the Boston Globe, the 32-year-old actress gushed over Cooper for his dedication to his work, calling him a “phenomenal actor” who was fearless in showing his character’s emotions.

“He never broke character, so I really got to know Chris Kyle before Bradley Cooper,” said Miller, referring to Cooper’s character in the film.

The British actress, who portrays Chris Kyle’s wife Tara in the film, took a few moments to speak on the nature of war. Over the summer, she volunteered at a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon and said that between her charity efforts and working on American Sniper, she has a newfound respect for all those who put their lives on the line to defend their country.

The Clint Eastwood-directed American Sniper will be released in theaters on January 6, 2015.

Meanwhile, the first full-length trailer for Miller’s film Unfinished Business, in which she stars alongside Vince Vaughn, was released on Nov. 27.

The Ken Scott-directed film follows the trials of Vaughn‘s character, who goes from being an employee of Sienna Miller’s company to becoming one of her greatest competitors for a major client, despite the fact he is just starting his company and doesn’t have the resources of his former employer.

The David v. Goliath-themed movie also stars James Marsden, Dave Franco, June Diane Raphael and Nick Frost.

Unfinished Business is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 6, 2015.

  • Michelle Monaghan, James Marsden: ABC Gives ‘Best of Me’ Poor Review

Michelle Monaghan might be the best part of The Best of Me–at least according to a review published by ABC News earlier this weekend. The latest of a few films based on books by Nicholas Sparks, the review calls the casting ‘bad,’ the dialogue ‘ham-handed,’ and the digital manipulation of the film ‘obvious.’

Twenty-one years after going their separate ways, former high school sweethearts Dawson–played by James Marsden–and Amanda–played by Michelle Monaghan–are reunited after the death of an older mutual friend named Tuck. Dawson is a loner who works on an oil rig. He reads books about philosophy when time allows. Amanda lives an existence akin to that of one of the Stepford Wives characters, playing the part of the dutiful, beautiful, stay-at-home mom to a teen son. She, of course, lives in a loveless marriage.

The ABC review seriously disses actor Luke Bracey, who plays Dawson in his teen years.

“There’s nothing wrong with Bracey as an actor, but this has to be one of the worst pieces of casting I’ve ever seen. He’s supposed to be the high school version of Dawson, but have you ever met a high school student with crow’s feet?” they write.

The review goes on to call Bracey a ‘distraction,’ because he in no way resembles the grown Dawson.

“…it’s a cinematic disaster,” the review reads.

Michelle Monaghan is pretty much the only actor in The Best of Me that isn’t shredded to pieces in this review.

The Guardian isn’t quite as harsh in its review of the acting in The Best of Me. With regard to the film’s plot, it doesn’t come up with anything more encouraging than saying it is ‘universally panned,’ and that it is a ‘predictable, weepy romance.’ With regard to the actors, their review reads as follows:

“This negative reaction is really unfair to James Marsden, Luke Bracey, Michelle Monaghan, and Liana Liberato, not to mention Gerald McRaney who should get some sort of gong for his work in this film, all these actors brought much to this predictable weepy romance.”

What more can people honestly expect from a Nicholas Sparks film? His books are love stories, and love stories more often than not translate on to the big screen as weepy and predictable.

If you think Michelle Monaghan is gorgeous (she is) and James Marsden is sexy (he is), then by all means check out The Best of Me. If you’re looking for Academy Award-winning performances and cinematic brilliance–wait until it’s available ‘On-Demand.’

  • James Marsden Offered Paul Walker Role

James Marsden has been offered the Nicholas Sparks role that would have gone to Paul Walker, it was announced today.

Walker had signed on for “The Best Of Me” and “Agent 47” before his tragic death in a car accident on Thanksgiving weekend, and both films will still go on. “Agent 47” is an action film, a sequel to the 2007 hit “Hitman”, and will reportedly star Rupert Friend in the role Walker would have taken.

Marsden is well-known for his parts in the “X-Men” movies and recently did “Anchorman 2” and “Business Trip” with Vince Vaughn.

“The Best Of Me” will also star Michelle Monaghan and focuses on two former high-school sweethearts who reunite at their reunion twenty years later. According to MTV.com, the story focuses on “Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole, high-school sweethearts who went their separate ways after graduation. Twenty-five years later, Amanda and Dawson return to their hometown for the funeral of the man who supported their high-school romance. As the two are drawn back together, and drawn deeper into circumstances surrounding their mentor’s death, Amanda and Dawson learn that their past was not all that it seemed.”

Walker had been tapped for “Fast and Furious 7” at the time of his death, and the studio was forced to come up with a respectful way to retire his character from the franchise late last year.

  • Liz Lemon Wedding: It’s Finally Happening!

Liz Lemon Wedding: It’s Finally Happening!

Fans of the enormously successful Tina Fey-vehicle “30 Rock” have been waiting for her character, Liz Lemon, to find love forever. She’s been hopelessly unlucky in the task, but it seems she’s about to finally take the plunge with a good guy in the show’s last season, and viewers are excited.

The lucky guy? Food-truck owner Chris Chross, played by James Marsden. The nuptials will take place on November 29th, after several seasons of failed relationships with a succession of losers (with funny names), such as Dennis Duffy (Dean Winters), Floyd DeBarber (Jason Sudeikis), Dr. Drew Baird (Jon Hamm), Wesley Snipes (Michael Sheen), and Carol Burnett (Matt Damon).

The last season is sure to be a good one, as producers don’t plan to go out with a whimper, just as Liz doesn’t plan on letting a wedding turn her into a cheesy, girly bride.

“Miss Elizabeth Miervaldis Lemon presents herself to be married to Mr. Crisstopher Rick Chross on Thursday the 29 of November, 2012, at eight/seven central in the evening,” the “save the date” card provided by NBC reads. “But not in a creepy way that perpetuates the idea that brides are virgins and women are property. She’s 42. Whatever. It’s no big whoop. Bring your own snacks.”

  • James Marsden’s One-Night-Stand Baby Mama Drama

James Marsden, most recently known for his turn on “30 Rock”, is about to be a dad again. The only problem is, it will be to a child he fathered with a model after a one-night-stand.

LAist is reporting that Brazilian model Rosa Costa is with child, and is claiming the baby belongs to Marsden even though they were only together for one night after his marriage fell apart. Costa was reportedly seeing someone else at the time–actor Chris Santos–and the two have since parted ways after Costa broke the news.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but Santos could almost be Marsden’s doppleganger, no?

It would seem Costa has a type. At any rate, this will be the third child for Marsden, if the baby does indeed belong to him.
