  • Morgan Freeman Reads 50 Shades of Grey…Kind Of

If you close your eyes and listen to the following clip, you’ll swear that Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has gone off the deep end and submitted to reading excerpts from masturbatory mega-hit Fifty Shades of Grey.

Well, he hasn’t. But this is just about as close as we’re ever going to get to hearing the legendary screen presence talk about ”kinky f*ckery.”

Impressionist Josh Robert Thompson does an amazing Morgan Freeman impression. Seriously, it’s probably the best one in the world right now, and there are a lot of people out there that think they can do a good Morgan Freeman. Thompson has worked on epsidoes of Family Guy, American Dad, and various films & video games. But it’s his Morgan Freeman impression that has garnered him some internet fame as of late. You may remember a certain viral hit that involved Thompson, Freeman, and titty sprinkles.

Now, he’s put his wonderful skills on display again. Sit back, close your eyes, and imagine Morgan Freeman narrating one of the biggest literary hits of the past year (with a bit of extra commentary sprinkled in). I probably don’t have to say this, but I will: NSFW.

  • This Guy’s Game of Thrones Impressions Must Be Great at Parties

It’s been several weeks since we’ve said goodbye to the cast of Game of Thrones, and soon the long winter of waiting for season three will begin.

If you have HBO Go and a cable provider that doesn’t suck, or a cache of episodes somewhere on your computer – then you can relive the magic of seasons 1 & 2 over the next few months. If you don’t, you can settle for this guy.

Check out these spot on impressions of characters from Game of Thrones, courtesy of Steve Love.

Which one was your favorite? I think you have to go with Ser Jorah Mormont. His Lord Varys is a close second, however.

Still need another Game of Thrones fix? How bout we add some lightsabers to the mix.

  • Reddit Traffic Stats Show Huge Subreddits

Reddit Traffic Stats Show Huge Subreddits

Even if you’re only going by Alexa’s numbers, it’s clear Reddit.com is a huge site that garners a ton of traffic on a daily basis. Just consider the impact Reddit had on the Karen Klein donations, reddit’s ability gather a large audience, one that will mobilize for causes deemed worthy, is undeniable. However, just how big is reddit, and, more to the point, its subreddits, the method reddit uses to organizes its many categories?

How much traffic do these popular subdomains get? Thanks to some recently-released traffic information, we have a much better grasp of just how popular some of these reddit categories really are.

While the information doesn’t include every subreddit available, reddit’s stats focus on some of the more popular categories like the /r/funny subreddit, for instance. As you might imagine, /r/funny is one of the most popular reddit categories, and its traffic numbers reflect that:

    Reddit Traffic

All those charts and table reveal one unmistakable fact: the /r/funny sub is an incredibly popular Internet destination. If you don’t want to parse all of that, here’s some of the important stuff:

  • /r/funny gets over 5 million impressions on a daily basis
  • Monthly unique visits vary between under 2 million to almost 8 million
  • 609,308 unique visitors a day
  • At least 25,000 uniques an hour
  • Aside from these impressive numbers, /r/funny also had a one-day high of almost 9 million impressions (8,939,621). The lowest amount of impression traffic /r/funny has experienced in the parameters provided (May 11, 2012 until July 5, 2012) is 1.5 million. That means a slow day, traffic-wise for /r/funny still gets almost 2 million impressions.

    It’s OK to be jealous.

When you compare /r/funny to some of the other subreddits, it’s also clear /r/funny is one of the most popular. For instance, /r/pics gets around 3.3 million impressions daily, and /r/todayilearned receives just under 600,000 per day. On the lower end of the reddit subreddit totem pole is a category like /r/howto, which gets a little under 4600 impressions daily; although, over half of that is unique traffic which measures at 2600 per day. Clearly, a lot of first-time visitors are heading there trying to figure out how to make a pair of night vision glasses or “How to recreate a Bloody Omaha beach scene with just 3 people in 4 days…

While reddit did offer a revealing look at their traffic, it would be even more interesting if they included some of the popular adult-content subreddits that sport large subscription bases; something like /r/nsfw, which is obviously NSFW. Another area that would be interesting to learn about is /r/gaming, a subreddit that has only a slightly smaller subscription base than /r/funny does.

  • If You Only Watch One Morgan Freeman Impression Today, Make Sure He’s Talking About Titty Sprinkles

If you spend any time on reddit, Facebook, or any other site where memes and funny pictures are the backbone of the content, you’ve probably run across the image above.

It’s a simple play on the celebrity quote meme that, when created earnestly, imposes an image of the person alongside a famous quote attributed to them. You are likely to see these memes created with the likes of Neil deGrasse Tyson, Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, and various other people (living or deceased) that have been known to provide nuggets of wisdom throughout the years.

Or, in the case of this Morgan Freeman rendition, something completely different. Titty Sprinkles.

The image confirms that if placed next to a photo of someone you know, any text will most likely be translated inside your head using the voice or vocal stylings of said person. Think William Shatner or Christopher Walken – famous people with remarkably distinctive voices. Of course, there are few people around with a more recognizable way of speaking than Morgan Freeman.

And now, someone has brought this well-circulated image to life.

That someone is Josh Robert Thompson, actor and impressionist who has appeared in episodes of Family Guy, American Dad, various films, and numerous video games. He’s known for his spot-on impressions of celebs like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sly Stallone – but his Morgan Freeman impression is unmatched.

So, without further ado, close your eyes and listen to Morgan Freeman talk about Titty Sprinkles.
