  • Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel Had A ‘Frozen’ Reunion That Your Kids Are Going To Love

Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel came together this weekend for a little Frozen reunion for a very worthy cause.

The reunion made for some great video for every Disney fan — young and old.

“Singing #frozen songs with the effervescent @idinamenzel at a benefit for her @abroaderway foundation :)” Kristen shared on social media Sunday afternoon. “#frozen friendship xoxoxo.”

Joining “Anna” and “Elsa” on stage was their Frozen co-star Josh Gad.

“Team #Frozen back together again for #broaderway,” the actor who lent his voice to the character of Olaf posted. “Love these girls! @kristenanniebell and @idinamenzel.”

If the photos weren’t enough for Frozen fans, Josh also shared a glimpse at one of Kristen’s performances Sunday morning. While taking the stage bright and early at 10 a.m., the actress shared a cut song from Frozen that could only be described as “insane.”

Needless to say, the reunion is likely to fire up fans for Frozen 2 , which is reportedly coming soon.

“Forecast: Winter weather ahead!” Disney shared on Instagram last spring. “@DisneyAnimation developing #Frozen2 with Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee.”

Producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who won the Academy Award for Let It Go, will contribute to the film that has yet to have a release date.

Kristen is also starring in another soon-to-be Disney classic, Zootopia, playing the sloth.

  • Kristen Bell Will Return As Voice For Anna In “Frozen” Holiday Special

Kristen Bell will be back as Anna in a Frozen holiday special that will reportedly air in 2017.

The new holiday special will feature all of the original voice actors from Frozen including Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Idina Menzel.

The holiday special will be banking on the monumental success Frozen has enjoyed, and to a lesser extent, shorter film Frozen Fever.

Frozen made mainstream stars of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel when it became the highest grossing animated movie ever made.

Part of that astounding success was box office, with $1.28 billion in record-setting ticket sales. The other part was Elsa and Anna being plastered on everything with a surface since before the movie’s release.

The movie also spawned a hugely popular soundtrack featuring the film’s stars, Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel.

Of course, the holiday special won’t be the only format in which those in charge will bring Frozen back to the demanding masses.

There is also news of a Broadway show.

The Broadway show will not see an opening curtain until 2018, but Frozen will no doubt still be big two years from now.

That show sounds amazing, but there’s no word yet on whether Idina Menzel or Kristen Bell will reprise their roles onstage.

What do you think? Would you love to see Kristen Bell live onstage as Anna?

  • Kristen Bell to Reprise Role of Anna in ‘Frozen’ Sequel

Kristen Bell plays the role of Anna in Disney’s animated film Frozen. On Thursday she realized a dream come true. Disney announced there will be a sequel to the smash hit, meaning Bell will play Anna again.

“I would play Anna forever if they would let me,” Kristen Bell said during an interview with CBS News. “Not only do I enjoy the character and how much people love her, but I enjoy the team–the physical production team that I get to work with. They are all wonderful people…They’re super talented and super kind.”

Kristen Bell will also star as Anna in a new Disney short film called Frozen Fever. In the short film, Elsa (played by Idina Menzel) plans a birthday party for her sister, Anna. Frozen Fever will also feature a new song written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. They’re the duo who won an Oscar for the hit song “Let It Go.”

“They wrote music and we got to learn a new song. I have nothing even neutral to say about it. It was all wonderful,” Kristen Bell said.

“Disney’s never made a sequel. That’ the truth. Disney Pixar–that entity–has made a sequel. But Disney–Disney has never made a sequel. They wouldn’t just make it haphazardly. They would wait until the right plot line showed itself,” she added.

Kristen Bell explained some of what Disney went through during the creation of Frozen before it appeared on the big screen.

“In truth, it had a lot of different incarnations during the production process…Anna was a completely different person,” she said. “She wasn’t nearly as awkward or goofy. And then we did a massive re-write. I mean then we did pretty much a page one rewrite. And Jen Lee came on and between her and Chris Buck’s co-directing they just found a little bit of magic. The original Hans Christian Andersen story that it’s based on was very different. Elsa was more of a villain and at one point it was ‘Will Elsa and Anna to be mother and daughter? Should they be sisters? Should they be enemies? How do we play it?’ And the story just began to reveal itself–what it wanted to be throughout the last couple of months.”

Do you know any little girls who don’t love Anna and Elsa from Frozen? Be sure to let them know that they’ll be back before too long in the Frozen sequel.

And if Kristen Bell gets her way, there will be a Frozen 3 as well.

  • John Travolta Pronounces ‘Idina Menzel’ Correctly on 2015 Oscars Stage

John Travolta got a do-over of sorts at the 2015 Oscars, when he met on stage with Frozen star Idina Menzel–and pronounced her name correctly, Anyone who watched the 2014 Oscars, during which Menzel sang her hit song from Frozen, ‘Let It Go,’ knows John Travolta butchered the pronunciation of her name the first time around.

Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris even made fun of the pronunciation faux pas John Travolta made last year.

“Benedict Cumberbatch is….the name you get when you ask John Travolta to pronounce ‘Ben Affleck,’” he said.

Idina Menzel was then welcomed to the Oscars stage. She followed suit–inviting John Travolta to the stage.

She did so with a grand sense of humor, saying she’d like to introduce her “very dear friend, Glom Gazingo.”

“I deserved that,” he said about both Neil Patrick Harris’s joke and Idina Menzel’s deliberate flub of his name.

Last year, all John Travolta had to say when he took to the stage was, “Please welcome Idina Menzel.”

Instead, he said, “Please welcome.… Adele Dazeem.”

The flub was heard all around the world, and John Travolta was teased mercilessly for months on end. It became a game played by DJs and talk show hosts around the world to ‘Travoltafy’ people’s names.

This year John Travolta handed the reading of the nominees over to Idina Menzel, since he stood a pretty good chance of messing those up, too.

Did you see Idina Menzel and John Travolta at the 2015 Oscars on Sunday? Do you think he made up for his 2014 Oscars mistake?

  • Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart: Lip Sync Battle

Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, and Kevin Hart teamed up on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon this weekend in the second best battle after Sunday’s Super Bowl. The three competed with one another in a long-awaited lip synch battle. Fallon has touted the match on his show for weeks, and on Sunday night fans were treated to this epic competition. Now lip synching might not seem like a big deal–especially to those who have never attempted it. But more than simply mouthing the words, top notch lip synchers incorporate emotion and some impressive body moves, too.

Will Ferrell grabbed the fake mic and delivered what can only be called a writhing rendition of Beyonce’s hit “Drunk in Love.” He also belted out Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go.” Ferrell had some pretty stiff competition in the form of Kevin Hart, however, who bought tears to his everyone’s eyes as he movingly lip synched John Legend’s hit ballad, “All of Me.” He paid homage to the Super Bowl half time performer by doing Katy Perry’s “Roar,” too.

Jimmy Fallon may have actually cheated a bit. In addition to lip synching the “Dirty Dancing” theme song, “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” he brought a secret guest on stage to lip synch with him. Fallon had Drew Barrymore waiting in the wings to assist him in the competition. Fallon also performed Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone.”

    So who won the competition?

According to popular belief, Will Ferrell won for “Drunk in Love.”

Did you check out Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, and Kevin Hart duking it out in their lip synch battle? Jimmy Fallon loves to lip synch. Fans are likely looking forward to the next time he issues a challenge to do so on The Tonight Show.

That wasn’t all Jimmy Fallon did for musical fun on Sunday night’s show either. He and Carrie Underwood, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Usher, Meghan Trainor, One Direction, Christina Aguilera and, of course, his house band The Roots, joined together to perform a rendition of Queen’s “We Are the Champions” to congratulation Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots.

That will be a hard show to follow. Jimmy Fallon and his cast and crew will do The Tonight Show live from L.A. from Monday through Friday of this week.

  • Idina Menzel Kills It During Super Bowl Performance

Idina Menzel absolutely killed it during Sunday’s Super Bowl performance. Her live rendition of the national anthem went just as planned.

Unlike her performance of “Let It Go” during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Idina Menzel brought everything she had.

Katy Perry was the headlining half-time act, but Frozen‘s real life princess had her own swarms of fans waiting for her to sing.

Several days ago, Idina Menzel assured fans that her performance would be live.

And it was seriously live. After she belted out the last note, Idina Menzel yelled, “Yes!”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OM56DiHGUo

That was awesome. You could really see in Idina Menzel’s face the sheer joy she had in singing our national anthem!

When asked about it after her performance, Idina Menzel said, “I didn’t want to rush. I wanted to take in the moment and connect to the song that I was singing, not get swept away by all the grandiosity and excitement, and connect. And sing from my heart.”

At one point, during Idina Menzel’s performance, the crowd began booing.

However, it wasn’t directed at her. It was because, for just a moment, Patriots Coach Bill Belichick appeared on the screen.

Idina Menzel was asked if that was a distraction, to which she replied, “I knew better. I knew I hit the note well, I wasn’t worried it was me.”

She added, laughing, “And they warn you.”

Also pre-game, John Legend, performed an amazing rendition of “America the Beautiful” that was sure to bring a tear to the eye of even the toughest and most riled up of Super Bowl spectators.

Celebrity fans of the pre-Super Bowl performances of Idina Menzel and John legend were quick to post their accolades on Twitter.

There was no shortage of love for Idina Menzel and John Legend on Sunday!

What did you think of Idina Menzel and John Legend’s performances last night?

  • Kris Jenner Channels Inner John Travolta at British National Television Awards

Kris Jenner channeled her inner John Travolta at the British National Television Awards in London this past week. In addition to mispronouncing one of the nominee’s names, a la Travolta at last year’s Academy Awards (when he introduced Frozen star Idina Menzel as Adele Dazeem), she completely missed her cue when preparing to present the multichannel award.

The show, held at London’s O2 Arena, featured the UK’s television greats–much like the Emmy Awards in the U.S.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star sort of looked like the proverbial deer in the headlights when she realized she missed her cue. It was obvious to those in the audience and to those watching on TV as well.

Kendall Jenner had a similar situation at the Billboard Music Awards last spring. She blamed her mess-up on her contacts, saying she couldn’t read the cue cards. Might that have been Kris Jenner’s problem, too, or did she just lose her bearings completely?

It happens. Everyone will soon forget that Kris Jenner made an awards show faux pas–hopefully quicker that John Travolta was let off the hook. That poor guy might never live down his Oscars flub.

Kris Jenner clearly has bigger fish to fry. She has her Keeping Up With the Kardashians empire and all those daughters to manage. She is no doubt safely back in the U.S. and has likely forgotten about what happened in London. She’s probably busy planning how those girls can earn their ‘momager’ some more of that cold hard cash.

  • Idina Menzel, John Legend: Super Bowl’s Patriotic Voices

Idina Menzel and John Legend will serve as the patriotic singing voices of Super Bowl XLIX at Phoenix Stadium on February 1st. Menzel, best known for her vocals behind ‘Let It Go,’ from Disney’s Frozen, will belt out the National Anthem. John Legend will rouse patriotism with his rendition of ‘America the Beautiful.’

Legend follows in the footsteps of some strong voices with his performance. ‘America the Beautiful’ has been performed at past Super Bowls by the likes of Ray Charles, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson. While those are big shoes to fill, there’s no doubt that John Legend has what it takes. Anyone who has heard his recent performance of ‘Glory,’ from the Academy Award-nominated film Selma, knows they’re in for a treat when he sings.

Idina Menzel follows in some pretty amazing footsteps as well, although her spot has occasionally served as an embarrassment for both the singer and everyone at the Super Bowl. Christina Aguilera, for example, blew it big time back in 2011, when she flubbed a few lines of the song most have been singing since childhood.

In addition to Christina, Idina Menzel succeeds a throng of music greats including Garth Brooks, Diana Ross, and Beyonce in singing ‘The Star Spangled Banner.’ Hopefully, when she is announced, the commentator doesn’t do a ‘John Travola‘ and completely slaughter her name.

While Katy Perry is the headlining half time act at the Super Bowl, she might not hold a candle to the voices of Idina Menzel and John Legend. Frozen fans–even those who aren’t football fans–will likely tune in to Super Bowl XLIX–simply to hear the voice of their beloved Elsa. Hopefully if Chrissy Teigen (John Legend’s wife) is in the stands, she’ll leave her ‘cry face‘ at home.

Fans can hear both Idina Menzel and John Legend raise their patriotic voices on Sunday, February 1st on NBC.

  • Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, Divorce Final

Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, Divorce Final

Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel are officially divorced. The couple announced their separation in December of 2013. The ‘Let It Go’ singer and The Good Wife actor have both reportedly moved on–professionally and personally.

Diggs and Menzel met when they costarred on Broadway in Rent. They are parents to a five-year-old son named Walker.

Taye Diggs secretly filed for divorce in November. The former couple’s became final on December 3rd. He has been dating model Amanza Smith Brown for several months. The two were first spotted in public together at the 2014 BET Awards in L.A. back on June 29th.

“I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times when I thought, ‘Oh, man, people are going to trip out [if we split],’” he said in the July issue of Redbook magazine. “There weren’t a lot of couples like us in the theater community–and I know there aren’t a lot of performers as talented as she is…and then you have the whole mixed [race] thing. It was easy for people to root for us.”

Idina Menzel has moved on as well, although her moves involve her career more than her personal life. Incredible success has come her way for her role as Queen Elsa in the animated film Frozen, and the film’s trademark hit song ‘Let It Go.’ In addition she starred in the Broadway production of If/Then.

While it’s sad to see any marriage end, both Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel seem to have embraced the positives in their lives and moved on to new endeavors. A source tells MSN that their split is an amicable one, and that they will share the parenting of their son.

  • Lea Michele Kills It Singing Full Version of ‘Let It Go’ For ‘Glee’ — Listen

Lea Michele Kills It Singing Full Version of ‘Let It Go’ For ‘Glee’ — Listen

Lea Michele kills it singing her rendition of the number one song of the year, Let It Go, from the movie Frozen.

Michele sings the song that continues to drive parents crazy for the Season 6 premiere of the Fox series, Glee.

The season opener finds the crew, including many of the original glee club singers, back in Lima, Ohio after two seasons in New York City.

For the season opener, Michele sings the Disney classic and one can’t help but marvel at the similarities between her voice and the originator of the song, Idina Menzel, who ironically plays her mom on Glee.

While details of the Season 6 premiere are unknown, one can only imagine that the song may have something to do with the loss of Finn Hudson on the show, which was played by Michele’s real-life boyfriend at the time, Cory Monteith, who tragically died in July 2013 from an overdose.

Listen and enjoy below, via People Magazine:

Michele’s cover of Let It Go will be available on iTunes on Tuesday, and the final season of Glee premieres 8 p.m. ET Friday Jan. 9 on FOX.

  • Idina Menzel Clears Rumors About Frozen Sequel

Idina Menzel Clears Rumors About Frozen Sequel

Idina Menzel who voiced Princess Elsa in last year’s hit Disney pic Frozen remains unsure about the status of the sequel to the original film. In an interview with Here & Now, the 43-year-old singer-actress backtracked her claims that a sequel is in the works. “I said ‘I’m sure something’s in the works,’” she explained her Telegraph interview that was made headlines last week.

“I just assume that because it’s so successful that that’s what they’re up to.”

The former Broadway star reiterated that it’s up to Disney if they want to create a follow-up to the massively successful 3-D animated film. Frozen captured the hearts of children everywhere and ended up earning more than $1.2 billion dollars at the box office, making it the highest grossing animated film of all time.

Even if there’s no confirmation about the sequel yet, Menzel expressed her interest in returning for the sequel to voice one of the princesses featured in the film. “We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride,” she said during her appearance on The Today Show.

The Academy Award winning film will be translated into a Broadway show next year. Analysts from the House of Mouse reported that the film is now considered as one of the company’s top 5 franchises. Disney Chairman and Chief Executive Robert Iger said that fans should expect that Disney would take advantage of the popularity status of the series.

Menzel performed the hit song “Let It Go” at the CMA Country Christmas show that aired on ABC. She shared the stage with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles who also hosted the program. Menzel is busy promoting her new Christmas album called “Holiday Wishes” which she had dedicated to her lovely five-year old son. “The holidays were always a weird time for me, so now that I have a little boy, it’s sort of an opportunity to rewrite that.”

  • Idina Menzel Premieres a Child-Friendly “Baby It’s Cold Outside” Video

Idina Menzel breathes new life into the Christmas classic “Baby It’s Cold Outside”

Menzel teamed up with crooner Michael Buble to sing “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” Everyone from Bette Midler to Seth MacFarlane did their own versions of this popular holiday song. The track tells a story of a woman trying to avoid temptation by leaving, but her male companion continues to try to entice her to stay.

Buble and Menzel completely turn a suggestive and seductive song into a children-friendly ballad. They change the lyrics, “Well maybe just a half a drink more,” to “Well maybe just a soda pop more. ” They also turn “Say, what’s in this drink?” to “Say, was that a wink?”

The video takes place in a 1920s/1930s style hotel lobby. A bellboy (Harry Colett) sees his dream girl (Emily Carey). She passes through his elevator. In a semi-dream like sequence, the boy puts on a suit and dances the night away. He needs to win over this girl. Both child actors lip-sing the entire song. Buble and Menzel appear when the children look at themselves in the mirror.

October 14 marked the release of Menzel’s Holiday album, Holiday Wishes. The album includes 12 tracks, mostly covers of holiday classics. Holiday Wishes does include one new, completely original song entitled, “December Prayer.”

The Los Angeles Times reports that Holiday Wishes only made a modest debut. It sold a little over 70,000 copies in four weeks. This week, it ranks as No.16 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The album could see a significant sales boost from the release of the “Baby It’s Cold Outside” video. Currently, the album ranks as the No. 10 album on Amazon’s Music Best Sellers list.

Some of the tracks on Holiday Wishes include “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “The Christmas Song,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and “Silent Night.”

  • Taye Diggs Opens Up About Split From Idina Menzel

Taye Diggs’ split from actress-singer Idina Menzel came as a shocking surprise to most fans.

During a recent interview with Redbook Magazine, the famed Best Man star joked about how some people still have a hard time accepting the fact that he and Menzel have separated.

However, he admits that he can see why their split was such a shocker. To fans, they were always a positive representation of a happy couple.

Diggs met his ex-wife on set during the production of the film adaptation for the Broadway musical, Rent. He thinks the way they met is the reason why most fans viewed their relationship as a picture-perfect, fairy tale.

“I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times when I thought, ‘Oh, man, people are going to trip out if we split,’” the 43-year-old actor quipped.

“Maybe they thought it was cute that we met in Rent. There weren’t a lot of couples like us in the theater community—and I know there aren’t a lot of performers as talented as she is… and then you have the whole mixed [race] thing. It was easy for people to root for us.”

Diggs went on to share how life is now that they’ve split. The Baggage Claim actor revealed that there are still some co-parenting kinks to work out since they live on opposite ends of the country. The two have a four-year-old son together, Walker Nathaniel Diggs.

“Right now, we’re still trying to figure out a lot of stuff because we’re on different coasts and our son is getting older,” he explained. “The toughest…well, lately, it’s just leaving for work when I know I have to be away from him for more than a few days.”

Diggs, who is already rumored to have a new girlfriend, isn’t the only one adjusting to the big changes. The famed Frozen actress also weighed in with her perspective of dating as a now-single mom. “It all sucks,” Menzel said. Unlike the Between Us actor, she isn’t too thrilled about jumping into a relationship for the sake of their son.

“I don’t want to keep introducing him to people and having him form bonds and then take ’em away, you know,” she said during an interview with Seattle PI. “It’s bad enough his mom and dad are getting divorced.”

Diggs and Menzel were married 10 years before announcing their split in late 2013.

  • Idina Menzel on Dating Again: ‘It Sucks’

Idina Menzel is trying once again to get back into the dating scene following her split with ex-husband Taye Diggs.

    It’s not going so well.

The Broadway star separated from Diggs last December after ten years of marriage, and she recently shared that it’s not as much fun as one would imagine.

“It all sucks,” Idina exclaimed on the radio show Valentine in the Morning.

The Wicked star says the dating scene is very different as a mother to a young child. She has a four-year-old son named Walker with her estranged husband.

“I don’t want to keep introducing him to people and having him form bonds and then take them away, you know?” she said. “It’s bad enough his mom and dad are getting divorced.”

Idina suffered the pain of divorce as a teenager when her own parents split. She believes (hopes) her split with Taye will be easier on Walker since he’s still so young.

“I keep telling myself, because I feel so badly for him, it’s better that he’s four-and-a half than when he’s 15,” she said.

“He has two parents that love him very much, and we want to be great moms and dads. At 15 I was too aware, I thought I was an adult, and I got in the middle of everything and I took on the stress for both of them.”

As for Taye, he seems to be moving on alright. He is currently dating model Amanza Smith Brown. “They are fully dating. They’re telling friends they’re in love,” a source told People magazine.

Idina and Taye met in 1995 as costars in the Broadway musical Rent and were married eight years later.

Although their marriage may be over, their careers are going strong. Taye is shooting Murder in the First in California and Idina is performing in If/Then on Broadway in New York.

  • Idina Menzel Talks About Dating After Divorce From Taye Diggs

Late last year, Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs ended their 10-year marriage. Menzel, 43, talked about being a single mom and dating on the radio show Valentine in the Morning.

“I don’t want to keep introducing him to people and having him form bonds and then take ‘em away, you know,” she said referring to her four-year-old son Walker. She added that it’s bad enough that Walker has to go through his mom and dad’s divorce.

Menzel is protective of Walker, as she too, went through the same experience when her parents divorced when she was 15 years old. She said that she tells her son that he has two parents who love him very much. “At 15 I was too aware, I thought I was an adult, and I got in the middle of everything and I took on the stress for both of them,” she said.

Menzel and Diggs met in the Broadway production of Rent in the 1990’s. They got married in 2003 and had Walker six years later.

Broadway fans were devastated upon learning that Menzel and Diggs split up. In an interview, Diggs said, “I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times when I thought, ‘Oh man, people are going to trip out [if we split]’” Diggs said that people rooted for his relationship with Menzel, as there aren’t a lot of couples in the theater community like them.

Diggs seems to have moved on from the divorce, as he made a public appearance with his new girlfriend Amanza Smith Brown at the 2014 BET Awards held on Sunday night. Diggs looked happy as he stood with his arms around Brown. A source said that the couple is 100 percent in love. “They have been dating for a while,” the source said.

At this time, both Diggs and Menzel’s main priority is their son.

  • Idina Menzel, Others Honored for Charitable Work

Idina Menzel, Iman, Claire Danes and others were honored Friday by Variety Magazine for charitable work in its “Power of Women: New York” issue.

Other honorees Sarah Jessica Parker, Susan Sarandon and A&E President and CEO Nancy Dubac, were honored at a luncheon hosted by designer Zac Posen at Cipriani in Manhattan.

Katie Couric, Gayle King, Josh Groban and others paid tribute at the ceremony sponsored by HTC One and FYIslo, A&E’s new television network.

Menzel was honored for her own foundation, A BroaderWay, which assists underprivileged young girls from urban communities. She read a heart-wrenching essay by one of her students, but also made the audience laugh after her introduction by long-time friend Groban.

“He got my name right!” she joked, referring to John Travolta‘s mispronunciation of her name at the Academy Awards this year.

Iman shared her experiences with the Dr. Hawa Abdi Foundation which helps provide medical attention, clean water and other basic necessities for people in need in her native Somalia, from which she fled decades ago.

“It’s amazing to me what has happened to my country. … It was once peaceful, progressive, an admirable country,” said the supermodel. “There was nothing that women could not do. Today, they are not even allowed to drive a car.”

Sarandon was presented an award for her support of the group Hope North, which provides educational opportunities for Ugandan children of war.

“The fact that we’re here means we are really lucky … so why do this?” said Sarandon. “It feels really good to know you have done something.”

Danes was cited for her work with Afghan Hands, a literacy program for Afghani women, and Dubac was honored for her work with Project Rubicon/The Mission Continues, which aids military veterans.

Finally, Sarah Jessica Parker was noted for her advocacy for the New York City Ballet.

  • Taye Diggs Has Moved on From Ex Wife

Taye Diggs showed the world he is over his split from ex-wife Idina Menzel by stepping out with new flame model Amanza Smith Brown.

The couple was spotted out together at Hooray Henry’s in West Hollywood on April 9.

“They are 100 percent in love,” a source stated in an interview. “They have been dating for a while.”

Diggs and Menzel were married in 2003 and met while working together on the Broadway musical Rent in 1995. They have a 4-year-old son and split only four months ago. Menzel recently played the voice of Elsa in the Disney film Frozen and showed off her vocal talents for the film’s song “Let It Go.”

“We’ve been best friends,” said the Broadway stunner of the breakup in an interview. “We were together for a long time and grew apart, but we’re still close.”

The former husband and wife announced their divorce in a statement:

“Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have jointly decided to separate at this time. Their primary focus and concern is for their son. We ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”

Not much is known about Diggs’ new lady. According to her Facebook page and Twitter account, she is model who works for LA Talent and also appeared as a model on Deal or No Deal.

Brown married Ralph Brown, who played for the Arizona Cardinals, in 2010, and has two children.

According to a source, Diggs and Brown were “enamored” with each other and Diggs “wasn’t shy about her.”

  • Idina Menzel Says She’s ‘Buddies’ With John Travolta

“Adele Dazeen” — better known as Idina Menzel — has long forgiven John Travolta for flubbing her name on live TV at this year’s Academy Awards a few weeks ago. In fact, she says she has only benefitted from the mistatake.

Menzel told The Hollywood Reporter that she received flowers and a note following the incident that spawned a website app where you can “Travoltify” your name.

“That threw me for a minute, but then I just got back on track and reminded myself of where I was,” said Menzel. “He was really gracious and sent this gorgeous email, and we’re buddies, and it’s all cool.”

Menzel said he also sent flowers, and thanks to the flub, she’s become a household name.

“Please. I mean, I’ve only benefited from it,” she said.

Menzel has had a very good year. Her single Let It Go from the Disney film Frozen has made into the top 10 and it seems everyone is singing it these days — and not just the kids.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Let It Go hasn’t had the typical rise as a pop song because radio hasn’t driven the success of the song. Instead, it has made its way up the charts based largely on sales and streams and is only just now starting to make progress at adult contemporary and mainstream top 40 radio.

“I’m just excited to see it break some rules,” she said.

Ironically, the Rent actress originally tried out for the 2010 Disney film Tangled, but wasn’t hired. However, her audition tape singing The Beatle’s Blackbird eventually led her to the role in Frozen.

She’s also starring in the broadway musical If/Then, which opens March 30. The musical is about a woman in her 40s and features the song What the F—, about trying to have sex with three guys in one night.

While Menzel has never seemed too upset over the name-flub, Travolta apparently still struggles over his mistake.

  • Idina Menzel Benefits from John Travolta’s Flub, They’re ‘Buddies Now’

Idina Menzel was introduced at the Oscars by John Travolta as Adele Dazeem, but since then the two have made amends. Travolta’s flub was the talk of the Oscars for days after the awards show, with many wondering how on earth the actor could mess up her name that badly. The Frozen singer/actress let it go quickly, however, and says the two are “buddies” now.

“He was really gracious and sent this gorgeous email, and we’re buddies and it’s all cool,” Menzel said during a recent interview.

John Travolta must have felt really bad, however, as shortly after the Oscars–and the email–he sent Idina a beautiful bouquet of flowers. They arrived at her dressing room where she is presently starring in If/Then at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York.

Idina’s name has actually become synonymous with that of Adele Dazeem ever since Travolta’s mistake, but she has nothing at all bad to say about the actor–fully realizing that it could have happened to anyone.

“Please. I mean, I’ve only benefited from it,” Menzel added about her wildly popular alternative name.

She still had a wonderful time at the Oscars, and was excited to tweet about the event to her followers.

In the days following the Oscars it became popular on late night shows and even on some news programs to play with a widget that “Travoltafied” people’s names. It played on the actor’s mispronunciation and translated anyone’s name into how John Travolta might have pronounced it at the Oscars.

John Travolta seemed to realize right off the bat that Idina Menzel was a really good sport, however. Just a few days after his faux pas he talked with E! News about what he had done.

“I’ve been beating myself up all day,” he said. “Then I thought…What would Idina Menzel say? She’d say, ‘Let it go, let it go!’ Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!”
