The actress, who won a 2015 Golden Globe award for her work in Jane the Virgin, and her new beau were all smiles in a photo taken during the match.

Although Gina Rodriguez kept silent about her new love life during her appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, the actress shared her dream of having a baby.

Rodriguez, 31, plays a new mother who got pregnant after a doctor artificially inseminated her by accident. The actress said she felt a strange connection with the baby on the set as soon as she cuddled it. “I feel like they bring the baby up to me on set and my ovaries are like, “Ahh! “It’s, like, perfect. As soon as one cries they take it away from me and the other one comes in. That’s what happens in real life, right? I could adopt, right? Yeah, I just might do that. I definitely want to adopt,” she continued.

  • ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ Renewed by Comedy Central

Amy Schumer’s sketch comedy show Inside Amy Schumer has been picked up for a third season by Comedy Central.

It’s a move some see as part of the network’s attempt to add more comedies created by women to its programming lineup.

Inside Amy Schumer has been lauded as “the most consistently feminist show on television.”

Indeed much of the show’s content, which consists of sketches, standup, and interviews deals in some capacity with gender politics.

Schumer’s creation has been called “always just a little dangerous – but with enough big laughs to justify any possible offense.”

That’s meant a ratings surge for the network, which until now has been predominately male-driven.

Comedy Central has obviously decided to keep a good thing going. They’ve added two more women-created comedies for 2015.

Another Period is written by and will star Natasha Leggero (He’s Just Not That Into You and Neighbors) and Riki Lindhome. Jeremy Konner (Drunk History) and Ben Stiller will executive produce.

Idiotsitter is written by Jillian Bell (Bridesmaids and 22 Jump Street) and Charlotte Newhouse (Puss in Boots: The Three Diablos.) Newhouse stars as a buttoned-down woman hired to babysit spoiled “womanchild” Bell who is serving out house arrest in her father’s mansion.

Earlier this year Comedy Central renewed Broad City for a second season. Created by and co-starring Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, the series has been hailed as “the weirdest, freshest, funkiest new comedy of the season.”

Schumer, who has said she was stunned by the initial success of her show, is in the running for a 2014 Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.

She’ll be up against comedic heavyweights such as Kristen Bell (House of Lies,) Valerie Bertinelli (Hot in Cleveland,) and Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother.)

  • Showtime Renews Hit Shows “Shameless” And “House Of Lies” For Another Season

In news that should not be a shock to most people, the Showtime network has renewed both Shameless and House Of Lies. Both shows air on Sunday night, and have dedicated fans who continue to buzz about them.

Showtime is not always recognized for its quality of television by the Emmy Awards or The Golden Globes, but it does tend to have some of the most popular shows, in terms of the fans who watch them.

Dexter and Weeds were both huge when they aired, while Nurse Jackie continues to give Edie Falco award nominations. Nurse Jackie will begin its 6th season in April, joined by Californication, which will be ending this year with its seventh, and final season.

Showtime made the announcement today that Shameless and House Of Lies would both be returning in 2015, and will enter their fifth and fourth seasons in the upcoming year, respectively.

The two powerhouse Sunday night shows will join Matt Leblanc’s Episodes, which has already been renewed for a fourth season. Leblanc has continually been nominated for awards for essentially playing himself in the 30-minute comedy series.

Shameless is based on a British series of the same name, and follows a poor family living in Chicago, chronicling the struggles that each of them face while growing up. The kids are forced to raise each other due to their absent mother, and constantly drunk father, who is played by William H. Macy. The show stars Emmy Rossum as the legal guardian, and eldest sibling in the family.

The show is averaging 5.5 million viewers across multiple platforms, and is currently in its highest-rated season yet. Shameless’ ratings are up 8 percent vs. its third season and up 22 percent vs. season two. Its highest-rated episode of the season came on Jan. 26 when it drew 1.83 million viewers at 9 p.m.

House Of Lies is a newer show that features two Hollywood stars in Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell. The 30-minute comedy follows a group of misfit consultants who are constantly bickering with each other as they attempt to get their next client.

It is one of the only Showtime shows to gain attention at award shows recently, while being nominated as a show, and for Don Cheadle’s work. Don Cheadle has been nominated for two Golden Globes and two Emmy Awards for his role as Marty Kaan, winning the Golden Globe in 2012.

Shameless and House Of Lies continue to draw the viewers in on Sunday night, allowing Showtime to compete with the other pay networks such as HBO and Netflix, which both boast impressive subscriber counts.

  • Kristen Bell: Sex Scenes During Pregnancy

Kristen Bell joked recently with Conan O’Brien about filming sex scenes for her Showtime series House of Lies while pregnant. She and costar Adam Brody, she admits, rocked some rather awkward manipulation in order to pull of the filming without either cracking up or looking incredibly awkward.

Brody “affectionately refers to our sex scenes as our threesomes because my belly was just on top,” Bell said during her chat with Conan, adding that he was an incredible sport as the two attempted to roll around in the hay and make it look incredibly hot and sexy.

Kristen hopes that one day daughter Lincoln (that infamous cropped out baby bump during those sex scenes in House of Lies) will one day appreciate her mother’s work as an actress.

“And now I can forever look at my daughter and say, ‘Oh, you were pregnant for that!’ ” she said.

Following her visit with Conan O’Brien, Bell dished to Chelsea Handler about her daughter one day viewing those sex scenes.

“My guess is if she is like the other 5 billion people on the planet, she’s going to grow up and enjoy sex,” Bell said. “I’m not going to be shocked by that.”

Kristen Bell and hubby Dax Shepard (of Parenthood fame) started dating back in 2007 and in March of 2013 their daughter Lincoln was born. The two tied the knot in what they and their friends have dubbed the “Worst Wedding Ever” in October of 2013. It took place at the Los Angeles County Clerk’s office in Beverly Hills, where the two applied for a marriage license. They were then told they had to provide their own licensed officiant in order to hold the ceremony there. After making many phone calls, they wound up saying “I do” in front of people they didn’t even know.

Kristen is the star of the upcoming Veronica Mars film.

  • Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell Tweet That They’re Safe After On-Set Gunfire Report

Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell turned to Twitter on Friday to assure fans they were safe after reports of gunfire on the set of House of Lies.

TMZ broke the news late Friday afternoon.

Apparently the show was shooting a scene in the Nickerson Gardens housing project in South Central Los Angeles, and had drawn a sizable crowd of onlookers. The crowd included members of rival gangs. An argument broke out and gunfire was reported.

According to TMZ, production was moved to a different location after the incident. The House of Lies Twitter and Facebook page were silent on Friday.

The LA Times has called Nickerson Gardens “Los Angeles’ version of no man’s land; one of the city’s most dangerous and volatile housing projects.” It was one of several housing projects built by the city in the Watts neighborhood during World War II.

House of Lies is currently filming its third season. The season will premiere January 12 on Showtime.

Cheadle won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Marty Kaan, a highly successful, decidedly unscrupulous management consultant. Bell plays Kaan’s right-hand woman, Jeannie Van Der Hooven.

TMZ reported that Grammy-winning rapper T.I., who guest stars in season three, was also at the Nickerson Gardens shoot when the gunshots occurred.
