Laura Prepon Sparks Wedding Rumors with White Dress Fitting

Laura Prepon sparked short-lived wedding rumors when she was seen being privately fitted for a white evening gown at Bergdorf Goodman on Tuesday.

In reality, the 34-year-old star of Netflix’s hit series Orange is the New Black will wear the custom-made Isabelle Armstrong gown when she hosts Bella New York City magazine’s All White Party in the Hamptons on July 26.

Prepon shot to stardom when she landed the role of Donna Pinciotti on That ’70s Show in 1998.

When the show’s run ended in 2006, she went on to star in the drama series October Road which was canceled after only two seasons.

From there she made brief appearances on television series such as Castle, House M.D., How I Met Your Mother, and Medium.

Prepon struck gold when she landed the role of Alex Vause on the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black in 2013.

Based on Piper Kerman’s bestselling memoir Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison, the series released its much-anticipated second series on June 6, 2014.

In May news broke – via Prepon’s Instagram feed – that the series had been renewed for a third season.

Prepon recently revealed that she’ll appear in every episode of season three.

Many of Prepon’s fans were disappointed when she appeared in only a few episodes of the second season due to schedule conflicts.

Prepon, who appeared on the cover of the July issue of Women’s Running said she’s never been more comfortable with her body than she is now, partially in thanks to Orange is the New Black:

“All the women on the show are different shapes, sizes, colors and creed – everything! You really embrace who you are, your curves and everything … So if anything on this show, it’s the most comfortable I’ve ever been because all of us just really embrace who we are. It’s wonderful.”

  • Netflix Users’ Ability To Watch ‘House M.D.’ And Other Shows Disrupted

It appears that some popular television shows have gone missing from Netflix for some users, but don’t worry. The company hasn’t lost these shows. It’s just a temporary mishap.

    The company tweeted this:

Shows some have had trouble accessing appear to include House M.D., Mad Men, Gossip Girl, New Girl, Grey’s Anatomy Dexter, and others.

Long story short: Calm down. Your show will be back.

People really don’t like when their Netflix is disrupted.

Apparently it’s not limited to the U.S.

  • Cancelled Shows 2012: The Best Of “House M.D.”

People come to love their television shows because they fall in love with particular characters, and following the adventures and ordinary days of a beloved personality often becomes a weekly ritual. So when the latest list of shows on the chopping block was announced yesterday, it created quite a stir.

Among the greatest disappointments were “One Tree Hill”, “House”, and “Alcatraz”. Some others we were sad to see go (but perhaps not as surprised) were “Napoleon Dynamite”, “Pan Am” and “The Playboy Club”. While the latter two shows weren’t Emmy contenders, they were good fun that tried a little too hard to monopolize on the popularity of AMC’s “Mad Men” and the glory of the freewheeling ’60s.

Personally, I was a little surprised to see “House” go, as it’s been pretty popular for several years now and has a huge loyal following of fans. As for the show’s star, Hugh Laurie, look for him in the upcoming 2012 film “Mister Pip“. His voice will also be lent to an animated version of “The Canterville Ghost”. For now, here’s a serving of some of the best moments of “House M.D.”
