  • Russian Gov Hackers Were Stealing Info From Dems For Over A Year

The Washington Post is reporting that Russian government hackers penetrated DNC computers over a year ago and have everything including all email and chat traffic. According to Washington Post sources their main purpose was to steal opposition research about Donald Trump.

The Post said that Russian spies were also targeting the networks of presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and some GOP political action committees, but it is unknown if breaches were made at this time.

    From the Washington Post:

The DNC said that no financial, donor or personal information appears to have been accessed or taken, suggesting that the breach was traditional espionage, not the work of criminal hackers.

The intrusions are an example of Russia’s interest in the U.S. political system and its desire to understand the policies, strengths and weaknesses of a potential future president — much as American spies gather similar information on foreign candidates and leaders.

The depth of the penetration reflects the skill and determination of the United States’ top cyber adversary as Russia goes after strategic targets, from the White House and State Department to political campaign organizations.

Shawn Henry, the president of CrowdStrike and former F.B.I. agent, spoke to MSNBC: “We were able to identify with a very high degree of confidence a group that we have attributed back to the Russian government targeting that D.N.C. network. Foreign intelligence services are constantly interested in political processes.”

“We were actually called by the DNC through their Counsel when they saw that there were some irregularities,” stated Henry. “They were concerned about a potential breach within their environment. We came in and did our typical incident response, we deployed certain pieces of technology that we use to try to get some visibility into the extent, the depth and breadth of this particular breach. In the course of this working very closely with the staff of the DNC we were able to identify with a very high degree of confidence a group that we have attributed back to the Russian government.”

Henry added, “We know with certainty, my time in the Bureau, that foreign intelligence services are constantly interested in political processes, their interested in strategies, their interested in foreign policies, ect. The DNC and others have been targeted over the years by this very very sophisticated group with a high degree of capability and some very very sophisticated technology.”

“Typically on our network we’ve got corporate strategies, email communication, documents, spreadsheets, PDF, calendars, etc.,” commented Henry. “The foreign intelligence services understand and recognize that organizations maintain this information and they’re looking to get any type of advantage as the political process continues to help them better develop their political strategies and to have a deep understanding of candidates. In this particular case, this groups level of sophistication is very very high, very very difficult to detect and they are able to maintain persistence for long periods of time without being uncovered. Because of that ability to remain stealth in the environment they’re able to look at these communications and documents for a protracted period of time.”

  • Bill Clinton: GOP Supporters Jump On “Awful Legacy Of The Last Eight Years” Remarks

Bill Clinton: GOP Supporters Jump On “Awful Legacy Of The Last Eight Years” Remarks

Bill Clinton surprised everyone today when he gave a speech in support of his wife, calling her the only one that can help “put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us.”

Bill Clinton‘s comments caused an uproar before campaign aids came out to clarify that his statement was purely about Republican obstructionism.

They also tried to say that the comment by Bill Clinton is being taken out of context as right-wing outlets continued to seize on the remarks and social media consequently blew up.

Bill Clinton’s full statement was, “If you believe we can all rise together, if you believe we’ve finally come to the point where we can put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us and the seven years before that when we were practicing trickle-down economics, then you should vote for her because she’s the only person who basically had good ideas, will tell you how she’s going to pay for them.”

It has a nice ring to it.

Hillary Clinton spokesman Angel Urena said of the remarks, “After President Obama was elected, Republicans made it their number one goal to block him at every turn. That unprecedented obstruction these last eight years is their legacy.”

She added, “And the American people should reject it by electing Hillary Clinton to build on President Obama’s success so we can all grow and succeed together.”

Even Bernie Sanders got in a little dig at Bill Clinton.

Do you think Bill Clinton meant Republicans or did he accidentally let his real opinion of President Obama’s administration slip?

  • George Clooney Backs Hillary Clinton, Calls Her “Voice of Tolerance and Experience”

George Clooney Backs Hillary Clinton, Calls Her “Voice of Tolerance and Experience”

George Clooney has thrown his support behind Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton, doing so in a letter to her supporters on Monday.

The letter serves as an invitation to Clinton supporters to enter a lottery for a chance to visit his home, where a fundraiser for the presidential hopeful will be held. In addition to lauding Hillary Clinton in his letter, George Clooney took some serious jabs at Donald Trump.

“If you listen to the loudest voices out there today, you’d think we’re a country that hates Mexicans, hates Muslims, and thinks that committing war crimes is the best way to make America great again,” Clooney wrote, according to CNN.

“In all of this clutter, there’s been one consistent voice. A voice of tolerance and experience, from a candidate who’s spent a lifetime fighting for the rights of the less fortunate. A candidate who knows firsthand the complexity of our international relationships,” George Clooney said of Hillary Clinton.

He went on to call Clinton, “the only grown-up in the room. And if ever there was a time for a grown-up, that time is now.”

George Clooney is hosting the upcoming Hillary Clinton fundraiser with his wife, Amal Clooney.

Would you like to visit Amal and George Clooney’s home to attend the fundraiser they’re hosting for Hillary Clinton? How many people do you expect will throw their names in the lottery for a chance to do so?

  • Nancy Reagan Erroneously Credited By Hillary Clinton For H.I.V./AIDS Activism, Gets Backlash From Gay Community

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is being criticized after stating that former first lady Nancy Reagan “started a national conversation” on HIV/AIDS in the 1980s.

“It may be hard for your viewers to remember how difficult it was for people to talk about H.I.V./AIDS back in the 1980s,” Clinton told MSNBC host. “And because of both President and Mrs. Reagan – in particular, Mrs. Reagan – we started a national conversation, when before nobody would talk about it. Nobody wanted anything to do with it.”

Critics and gay rights activists pointed out that the Reagans did not address the issue until the Reagan administration ended. Even Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders spoke out about his rival’s claims.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention identified the deadly sexually transmitted disease in 1981 but President Ronald Reagan addressed the health crisis in 1987 and during that time, more than 40,000 Americans had died, and 36,000 more had been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.

Nancy was praised for her contribution in the fight against drug abuse with her “Just Say No” campaign and later on for supporting stem cell treatment to cure Alzheimer’s disease, but she and her husband kept mum on the issue of AIDS.

When her friend, actor Rock Hudson, was dying of the disease in 1985, the White House allegedly ignored his request for medical help. Nancy did eventually convince the President to address the crisis several years after health officials warned them of the epidemic.

After her statement sparked conversation on social media, Clinton apologized on Twitter and on Medium.

“While the Reagans were strong advocates for stem cell research and finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, I misspoke about their record on H.I.V. and AIDS,” she said in a statement, which she posted on Twitter.

  • Ivanka Trump, Chelsea Clinton: Has Parents’ Race to White House Destroyed Their Friendship?

Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton became fast friends when their husbands introduced them several years ago. Recent comments on behalf of Donald Trump–barbs about Bill Clinton cheating on Hillary, to be exact–have pushed the ladies’ friendship into the media in recent days.

Have Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton dissolved their friendship because of their parents’ political campaigns?

Politico says no–not exactly, anyway. It seems Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump have put their friendship “on hold” until after the November election–assuming, of course, that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump win for their respective parties.

A source close to Chelsea Clinton tells Politico, “I don’t think she blames Ivanka,” referring to the many unsavory comments Donald Trump has made about Chelsea’s mom.

Even Ivanka Trump has distanced herself from her father.

“I’m not part of his campaign, and he’s kept me very busy working alongside my brothers and running the organization,” she said in an interview in February. “I’ll leave policy to him, but I can speak from my vantage point as a child and a colleague. He’s been an amazing parent.”

It seems the friendship between Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump is just temporarily on ice. The two have chosen not to be seen together in public for obvious reasons.

Do you expect this campaign could do irrevocable damage to this friendship, however? It’s hard to overlook many of the barbs Donald Trump throws into the ring. Will Ivanka Trump find herself defending her father to Chelsea Clinton one day?

  • Louis C.K., Actor and Comedian, Tells Fans Not to Vote for Donald Trump

Louis C.K. urged his fans and followers in an email on Saturday morning not to cast their votes for Donald Trump.

It was while announcing the upcoming sixth episode of his web series, Horace and Pete, that Louis C.K. turned political–in a rather lengthy P.S.

“Please stop it with voting for Trump. It was funny for a little while. But the guy is Hitler,” it reads. “And by that I mean that we are being Germany in the 30s. Do you think they saw the shit coming? Hitler was just some hilarious and refreshing dude with a weird comb over who would say anything at all.”

Louis C.K. went on to say he likes both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, however he isn’t endorsing either candidate.

“And I’m not advocating for Hillary or Bernie. I like them both but frankly I wish the next president was a conservative only because we had Obama for eight years and we need balance. And not because I particularly enjoy the conservative agenda,” he continues. “I just think the government should reflect the people,” adding, “A good smart conservative to face the liberal candidate so they can have a good argument and the country can decide which way to go this time.”

Louis C.K. then proceeded to critique Donald Trump.

“Trump is not your best. He’s the worst of all of us,” he tells conservative voters, while also assuring them that he’s “not saying vote democrat.”

“He’s a symptom to a problem that is very real,” he writes. “But don’t vote for your own cancer. You’re better than that.”

Do you expect if any of Louis C.K.’s fans were planning to–or already have–vote for Donald Trump that his email would prevent them from doing so?

How long might it be before Trump supporters watch his do a botched impersonation of Louis C.K.?

  • Louis C.K. Urges Fans Not to Vote for Donald Trump

Louis C.K. emailed his followers on Saturday morning, urging them not to vote for Donald Trump.

While announcing the sixth episode of his web series, Horace and Pete, Louis C.K. adding a long P.S.

“Please stop it with voting for Trump. It was funny for a little while. But the guy is Hitler,” the P.S. begins. “And by that I mean that we are being Germany in the 30s. Do you think they saw the shit coming? Hitler was just some hilarious and refreshing dude with a weird comb over who would say anything at all.”

The actor and comedian went on to say he likes both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, although he’s not soliciting votes for either.

Louis C.K. went on, critiquing Donald Trump.

“Trump is not your best. He’s the worst of all of us,” he tells conservative voters, while also assuring them that he’s “not saying vote democrat.”

“He’s a symptom to a problem that is very real,” he writes. “But don’t vote for your own cancer. You’re better than that.”

What’s your take on Louis C.K.’s warning about Donald Trump? It’s kind of scary when comedians get serious about what’s happening in the political arena–don’t you think?

  • Bill Clinton: Petition Calls For Arrest And Prosecution Of Bill For Polling Violation

Bill Clinton is in some hot, well at least warm, water for violating a Massachusetts state voting law that prohibits campaigning for or against a candidate and passing out materials within 150 feet of a polling place.

Bill Clinton and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh went inside a polling place in West Roxbury on Super Tuesday. They shook hands, took photos and even used a megaphone at one point to urge voters in the direction of Hillary.

Now, Bernie Sanders supporters are angry with Bill Clinton.

A petition quickly appeared online, which had over 100,000 signatures as of Friday, calling for Bill Clinton‘s arrest and prosecution for the violation.

The petition read in part, “This is a call for the immediate arrest of President Bill Clinton for clear, knowing and egregious violation of the campaign laws to swing an election in a significant way.”

It continued, “Choosing the critical battleground state of Massachusetts, Bill Clinton should immediately be subject to arrest and prosecution.”

    Coffee break in Minneapolis. #SuperTuesday

A photo posted by Hillary Clinton (@hillaryclinton) on

On Friday, the link to the petition leads (suspiciously, just sayin’) to an error message stating that the server is “misbehaving”.

However, should the petition gain 100,000 more signatures, it may not be successful.

For one thing, the petition is aimed at the wrong person. It is addressed to Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, but she doesn’t handle voting violations. Those are handled by the Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin’s office.

Also, the fine is only $20. I think Bill Clinton can afford to get himself off the hook.

But, for petitioners, it is likely the principal at hand that is of utmost importance.

Bernie Sanders lost Massachusetts to Hillary Clinton and many of those voters could have been swayed by Bill Clinton’s celebrity presence.

What do you think about the call for Bill Clinton’s arrest and prosecution?

  • Monica Lewinsky Launches Anti-Bullying Campaign Ahead of Safer Internet Day

Monica Lewinsky is back in the news. No, she isn’t campaigning for or against Hillary Clinton. She is, however, launching her own anti-bullying campaign.

Monica Lewinsky launched the #BeStrong Emoji Keyboard App just in time for Safer Internet Day, which is February 9. The set of emojis were created to help fight cyberbullying.

According to a report from Time magazine, the app was created in conjunction with British carrier Vodafone, and Lewinsky says they are intended for use by victims of cyberbullying when those victims–mostly teenagers–aren’t sure of what to say.

“Thousands of people are bullied online—daily,” Monica Lewinsky writes in an article for Vanity Fair. “For World Safer Internet Day on February 9, it’s worth considering not only the many ways people can feel unsafe online but also new methods to help limit abusive behavior—or, at least, to blunt the emotional fallout. Support—whether it’s from friends or strangers—matters. Trust me on this. In today’s world, particularly online and especially for younger people, support—knowing you are not alone—is vital and can even save lives.”

Monica Lewinsky’s app launched in September in European markets and will soon launch globally among all major cell phone carriers.

Monica Lewinsky, who had a sexual affair with former President Bill Clinton as an intern, knows all too well the pain of cyberbullying. Hopefully her anti-bullying campaign will help others.

  • Gloria Steinem Apologizes for Comment She Made About Young Women Backing Bernie Sanders

Gloria Steinem made a rather controversial comment to Bill Maher on Friday, indicating that young women voters are backing Bernie Sanders so they can meet “boys.” She made the comment when Maher asked her why such a huge number of younger women aren’t supportive of Hillary Clinton.

“Women get more radical as we get older,” she said. “Men tend to get more conservative because they gain power as they age, and women get more radical because they lose power as they age. When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys?’ The boys are with Bernie.”

After coming under considerable fire for the comment and its inference, Gloria Steinem issued an apology via Facebook on Sunday.

In a case of talk-show Interruptus, I misspoke on the Bill Maher show recently, and apologize for what's been…

Posted by Gloria Steinem on Sunday, February 7, 2016

Apology or not, people aren’t impressed with Gloria Steinem’s statement.

Might Gloria Steinem have inadvertently driven even more young women voters away from Hillary Clinton with her callous remark?

What do you suppose Hillary Clinton is thinking right now about Gloria Steinem’s comment? Does she have some clean up to do in her wake?

  • Susan Sarandon Calls Bernie Sanders “Untainted,” Calls Hillary Clinton a “Follower”

Susan Sarandon is stumping for Bernie Sanders in Iowa this week, insisting he’s the only choice for Americans. The actress and liberal activist has spent lots of time explaining how Hillary Clinton lost her support.

“The biggest foreign decision that had to be made in terms of foreign policy was whether or not to go into Iraq and go into war, and she failed that test,” she said of Clinton in an interview with the Daily Mail.

Hillary Clinton went on to be secretary of state, “but what has she done that we’re bragging about? How has she led?” Susan Sarandon asked.

Sarandon was a bit teary-eyed as she introduced Bernie Sanders to a crowd of more than 1000 people in Mason City, Iowa on Wednesday evening.

“I’ve come here because for me gender is not what’s important. Issues are what’s important,” she told the crowd. “I want a candidate who has the courage to stand and do the right thing when it was not popular.”

“It’s one thing to be for gay rights and gay marriage once everybody else is for it. That’s not difficult,” Susan Sarandon added, referring to Hillary Clinton.

“If you want to know how people are going to react and where they really stand, you have to look at who’s giving them their money,” she said. “The fact that he has managed to consistently be on the right side of every issue the correct side of every issue that reflects my concerns, and he has done it without being connected to Wall Street, big pharm, Monsanto, Goldman Sachs.”

“When you have the other candidate taking money from Goldman Sachs, speaking to Goldman Sachs, getting a lot of money from Monsanto, I think it’s really naive to believe that that’s not going to have some kind of influence over policy,” she said of Mrs. Clinton.

When asked to talk more about her gay rights comments, Susan Sarandon explained that yes, Hillary Clinton has come around to supporting gay rights, but she wasn’t there in the beginning.

“She was not, and that’s a matter of record, and yes, she has come around,” she said, “but my point is, it’s great that she came around, but wouldn’t it be great to be a leader instead of a follower, especially if you’re going to hold the highest office in the land?”

Susan Sarandon shared with several media outlets how inspired she is when surrounding by Bernie Sanders’ volunteers.

“I got emotional just being with them. It’s really fun and they’re very well informed …They’re a thinking people, they don’t listen to the sound bites,” she said.

Susan Sarandon announced her support of Bernie Sanders in a Facebook post in June.

We need a leader who is courageous and levelheaded in times of crisis: Bernie Sanders #Bernie2016

Posted by Susan Sarandon on Friday, June 5, 2015

She cites his October 2002 vote on the Senate floor, against the Iraq war, as one of the main reasons for backing him.

“I need somebody with judgment and not just experience,” she says.

Do you see Susan Sarandon as a strong voice in gaining votes for Bernie Sanders? Might her comments turn voters away from Hillary Clinton?

Does the actress have that kind of pull in the political arena?

  • Lena Dunham Says Media Is Sexist When Covering Hillary Clinton

According to Girls creator Lena Dunham, the media’s coverage of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has been “rabidly sexist”

She recently spoke out about what she feels is obviously “gendered” coverage of Clinton and her campaign.

“Whether it’s the attacks on her personal life or the adjectives that are used to describe her clothing, we have to do a full reexamination I literally want to make a list that we hand to media outlets that says, ‘these are the words you can’t use when describing a female candidate,’” she said in an interview with Variety.

On that list would be words like “shrill”, “difficult”, and “frumpy”.

Dunham has been in Hillary Clinton’s corner for some time now.

Last year, Dunham interviewed Clinton for her digital newsletter.

  • Monica Lewinsky: Donald Trump Using Former Intern in Personal Attack on Hillary Clinton

Monica Lewinsky is back to bring shame upon the Clinton family–at least that’s Donald Trump’s intention. His campaign dredged up an old photo of the former White House intern, including it in a 15-second video montage attacking Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign has long feared the skeleton Monica Lewinsky left in Bill Clinton’s closet. Will Hillary be blamed for Bill’s indiscretions?

The clip, featured on Donald Trump’s Instagram account, features Monica Lewinsky standing next to then-President Bill Clinton.

    Hillary and her friends!

A video posted by Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) on

Hillary Clinton’s voice plays over and over in the montage, proclaiming, “Women’s rights are human rights and human rights are women’s rights, once and for all. Let’s keep fighting for opportunity and dignity.”

The montage not only includes a photo of Monica Lewinsky, but also one of Hillary Clinton standing next to disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner and another of her with Bill Cosby.

Hillary Clinton was heckled in New Hampshire on Sunday about her husband’s sex scandal involving Monica Lewinsky.

“You are very rude,” she told the heckler.

It’s still to early to tell if Donald Trump will become the Republican nominee for the race for the presidency. It’s not too early to understand he will pull out any and all stops, and that he has no shame.

Bill Clinton is the one who (should) carry the shame for his dalliances with Monica Lewinsky.

Might Hillary pay the price of his actions in her run for president?

  • Martin O’Malley, Bernie Sanders Seriously Question Weekend Debates

Democratic presidential hopefuls Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders are seriously questioning the feasibility of debates that are held on weekends. The third Democratic debate is scheduled for tonight, Saturday December 19, and these men know people won’t tune in the way they probably would were it scheduled for a weeknight.

It’s not just Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders who are questioning these weekend debates. Many have criticized the Democratic National Committee’s scheduling process.

It seems there’s been much discussion about these weekend debates, with Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders pushing for more opportunities to publicly challenge Hillary Clinton. The DNC scheduled six–three of which are on tap for weekends.

Of all the Democratic candidates, Martin O’Malley has been the most vocal about this situation. He first complained about tonight’s debate back in August.

“They’ve scheduled it during shopping season, December 19th,” Mr. he said. “I don’t know why that is. I think it’s out of a false sense that they have to circle the wagons around the inevitable front-runner.”

Martin O’Malley’s campaign said that by avoiding prime-time debate slots, the DNC is “protecting” Hillary Clinton. A spokesperson for Bernie Sanders’ campaign says they’ve had no input on scheduling debates, but they are hoping for more discussion among the candidates on the issue.

“We’re playing the hand we were dealt,” Michael Briggs, a Bernie Sanders campaign spokesman, said. “I guess Christmas Eve was booked.”

Hillary Clinton’s campaign didn’t respond to a request for comment from the New York Times. Are you surprised?

Does this sound like an attempt on behalf of the Democratic National Committee to hand-pick their candidate for the presidential race?

It definitely sounds like Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders have a legitimate complaint.

Will you be tuning in tonight to see the Democratic debate, or are there things like Christmas shopping or holiday parties on your Saturday evening schedule instead?

  • Katy Perry Backs Hillary, Hijacks Her Instagram Account

Katy Perry is a huge supporter of Hillary Clinton, and the singer got a treat over the weekend when she performed at a political rally and took over Clinton’s Instagram account at the same time.

“Katy Perry here, taking over Hills’ IG today for the rally in Iowa. The stage is set, and the nails are pressed. T-minus 1.5 hours before we Roar together. #ImWithHer,” Perry wrote on the image-sharing site, posting a pic of her patriotic nails.

The duo posed together a few times over the course of the day in Des Moines, Iowa, where Perry performed onstage and spoke a bit to the crowd about the upcoming election, saying they have all the power to make their futures bright.

“You have so much power and this is one of the most important elections in over a decade. So much change can happen. I stand and I march with Hillary. I believe in her future, her vision. I believe in her policies. I believe in equal rights for men, women, pay… Thank you for having me, she’s my firework,” Perry said.

Perry has a fan in Clinton, who has been using her song “Roar” as a sort of anthem as she travels for her campaign.

“You know, sometimes it’s important, you just have to roar about what you need to fight for,” Clinton said over the weekend.

The campaign performances come after a trip to Cuba for Perry, who took to Instagram to share enviable photos of her time there. The “Dark Horse” singer says that Cuba is the perfect place for creative people and was an inspiration while she was there.

“About last week on #theprismaticworldtoursouthamerica I had the most exotic pleasure of experiencing the colors of Cuba with some my best friends! Let me tell you…After seeing most of the world this is one of the COOLEST vibes alive. If you like taking pictures, everything there will fit in a frame. The art the music, the people… It’s a Disneyland for creatives minds.”

  • Jennifer Lawrence Receives Big Compliment from Hillary Clinton

When Jennifer Lawrence wrote her recent op-ed, speaking out against gender inequality, she wasn’t looking for compliments. She was simply looking for people to pay women the same as men if they’re equally qualified for the job.

Just because the Hunger Games actress wasn’t fishing for compliments, doesn’t mean she didn’t get any–and one in particular likely trumps the rest.

Yes, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lauded Jennifer Lawrence, saying it’s hard to speak out against issues, especially when it might make you unpopular.

Jennifer Lawrence even received kudos from male actors. Bradley Cooper has worked with Jennifer Lawrence a number of times. The two starred in The Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle.

Jennifer Lawrence is nothing if not gutsy. She hasn’t taken on just Hollywood, either. She has taken on gender inequality everywhere.

Hollywood needs a strong female figure who is not only brilliant on the big screen, but brilliant and brave behind the scenes as well.

They have certainly found that in Jennifer Lawrence.

  • Julian Castro Endorses Hillary Clinton, Says She Has Broad Appeal

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro has officially endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.

Speaking at a Latinos for Hillary event in San Antonio, Castro said that Clinton had broad appeal.

“Having watched and respected for years now Secretary Clinton, I know that she appeals to Americans of all backgrounds and colors, different perspectives and walks of life,” Castro said.

Castro was the mayor of San Antonio before taking the job in Washington.

Clinton thanked Castro for the endorsement on Twitter, in Spanish.

Clinton even said that she was “going to look hard” at Castro when picking a running mate.

Castro is the second Obama cabinet member to endorse Clinton. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack endorsed her earlier this year. He’s also the second Castro to stump for Hillary – his congressman brother Joaquin is in the Hillary camp.

Castro made this announcement while there are still talks of Vice President Joe Biden entering the race late.

“I believe that he would also make a fantastic president,” Castro said of Biden on MSNBC. “My support of Secretary Clinton is based on a long relationship that Joaquin and I have had with her as well as with former President Clinton.”

  • Olivia Wilde Is Blaming ‘Pure Sexism’ For Political Attacks On Hillary Clinton, ‘It’s Ridiculous’

Olivia Wilde is blaming “pure sexism” for political attacks on Hillary Clinton.

In the midst of battle for equal pay by females in the film industry, Wilde is speaking out against sexism on the campaign trail.

According to People magazine, the 31-year-old actress calling out the people who she believes are criticizing Hillary Clinton based on her gender, not her merit.

“It’s pure sexism,” she told the Daily Beast. “This bulls— about her not seeming ‘warm’ enough is pure misogyny.

“It’s ridiculous,” she continued. “I think she’s one of the loveliest, most personable politicians I’ve ever met – much warmer than other politicians, in fact. That’s pure sexism.”

Wilde encourages voters to be more concerned with Clinton’s political record, which Wilde says “speaks for itself,” rather than how she looks or acts.

“She’s an incredibly skilled debater and her intelligence and experience speaks for itself,” Wilde said. “That’s the thing about Hillary – when people stop scheming to take her down with bulls—-, her actual resume speaks for itself.”

The Meadowland actress has upped her support for the presidential hopeful in the past months. She not only introduced Clinton at a campaign event back in June, she has also defended her pick for president on Twitter.

Do you think Olivia Wilde is correct in her assumption that attacks on Hillary Clinton are based on sexism?

  • A Conservative Take On The Democratic Debate

Here are some random thoughts from a conservative perspective on the CNN Facebook Democratic Debate. Later, we will present a viewpoint from a liberal.

To start with Sheryl Crow did a horrible rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Clearly, she didn’t practice.

For a party that’s so “diverse” it’s really interesting to see five white people debating for their presidential nomination.

CNN looks to be doing a commercial for Democrats playing a highly produced Barack Obama video that was designed for the audience in the room, but CNN conveniently played it for their worldwide audience too. Democrats love Obama and so does CNN! Thanks for making it clear!

It’s interesting that the debate is being held at the Wynn Casino where Steve Wynn is a well known Republican and Libertarian. Hope the lights stay on!

Democrats love buzz words like civil liberties, racial relations, climate change, inequality and top one percent.

Lincoln Chafe said he’s never had scandal in his 30 years of public service which evoked laughter in the room, obviously targeted toward Hillary Clinton’s many scandals.

You get the feeling that the audience in the room is wondering who Jim Webb is. It’s funny because Jim Webb is the only rational one up there.

It’s clear that the candidates are all scrambling to prove that they are the most leftist.

Martin O’Malley said, “We elected a president, not a magician. There is urgent work to be done right now. Our middle class is shrinking and our poor are becoming poorer. We need leadership and we need action”. This is a complete slam against Obama. Slightly surprising.

They love climate change. They clearly think it is the most pressing issue in America. Unfortunately for them, it’s a very minor issue as far as the American public is concerned. According to Gallop climate change is not even a top ten issue with Americans. It’s so irritating that CNN or any of the candidates never mentions that the climate data has been fiddled with relentlessly to prove the theory. The thing is to Democrats climate change simply fits in with their overall strategy of attacking American corporations and growth. It fits their agenda so it’s therefore true. Yay! (Sarcasm alert)

Bernie Sanders looks like the oldest man to ever run for president. He makes Ronald Reagan look like a teenager. Sanders, a self-proclaimed socialist, is very predictable, attack the top 1 percent, climate change is real, government funding of political campaigns and of course pay no one less than $15 per hour… ever. Ever! But of course he wants more jobs. Ha Ha.

Sanders says what this campaign is about is to mobilize our people to take this government back. The only problem is he would have to be taking it back from Obama and the liberal courts and liberal media and the liberal education system and the liberal government bureaucracy and the liberal big city political machines, etc… Silly and childish. Please democrats, make Bernie your nominee!

Hillary is the most poised but she’s also the most blatantly political. She says anything and will do anything to keep in favor politically.

At one hour in CNN hasn’t mentioned Hillary’s email scandal. Predictable.

Hillary wants paid family leave for all families, meaning that she wants companies to be forced to pay for male employees to stay home with their wife and new born children. But she wants new jobs. I guess those will come from employers having to hire new people to man positions when other male employees are on family leave. But how will companies magically have more money for this? Oh, that’s a question CNN forgot to ask.

Hillary just said that she has been very consistent on policies her entire life… to literal silence in the room. LOL!

She was asked by the moderator if she changed her political identity depending on who she was talking to. She gave Anderson Cooper the angriest stare possible!

Hillary said she is a progressive, not a moderate… to loud applause from the other socialists in the room.

Bernie was asked if a socialist can win an election in the United States. He has no answer so Bernie proceeds to define down what a Democrat socialist is. Cooper responds that a Republican attack ad in a general election writes itself. A very good line that the eventual Republican candidate should remember. He said you supported the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, you honeymooned in Russia and just this weekend you said you are not a capitalist. Wow!

Democrats say they want to support small and medium sized businesses, yet they want more regulation, they love the trial attorney and they want paid family leave to be forced on businesses… not to mention the ObamaCare fiasco. Their policies are directly opposed to business growth, small or big!

O’Malley several times looked like he was about to cry when reflecting on various family tragedies. I’m not sure we are ready for a crier as president.

Democrats simply can’t come to grip with the fact that their voter base has a high crime rate. It’s mostly crime against themselves. It’s not caused by Republican’s or the police or the rich. It’s caused by people who aren’t working and who are sitting idle while receiving numerous benefits that come to them from Democrat supported programs. Then when the police have to arrest people to protect the community the police themselves are blamed as the problem. This is circular logic to say the least and anyone who can’t see the BS is not worthy of serious consideration for high office.

Webb slams affirmative action for non African Americans. He says it was put in place for descendants of slavery and other people of color should not qualify and if they do qualify then we should include poor white’s in the Appalachians. Good blunt talk there!

The Democrats want to kill the gun industry and the 2nd Amendment in the process. Hillary wants to be the most leftist on the gun issue by supporting a bill to allow manufacturers and ordinary gun shops to be sued if one of their guns is used in a crime. Wow. That would kill gun ownership in America because guns manufacturers and gun stores would be put out of business buried in lawsuits.

O’Malley, the crier, has no chance of being elected.

Bernie looked a bit elderly in one of his answers about foreign policy. He was supposed to be responding to what Webb said about China and started rambling about Putin, seeming out of place and in a daze before eventually gathering himself.

Cooper is asking about Benghazi, with no mention of the huge scandal with Hillary and the entire Obama Administration faking that a video caused a random attack on our embassy killing our Ambassador when in fact they lied for political reasons during a political campaign. Way to go CNN, you have officially earned your Communist News Network stripes! And where are the questions about Hillary’s lying about her emails?

Finally 2 hours in CNN asks a question about Hillary’s email scandal and she predicatably blames it on politics. When Anderson presses… oh wait he didn’t press… because she’s the likely Democratic nominee… and that would not be very nice to the person he and almost everyone at CNN are voting for. Climate change, let’s talk about that. Let’s talk about anything. Just not scandal. Just pretend like we talked about it. That’s the ticket!

O’Malley joins in and surprise… supports not talking anymore about the email scandal to a standing ovation in the audience. Bernie joins in too! CNN agrees. Boy are those pesky Democrats dumb.

That pretty much was it. Feel free to disagree in the comments.

  • Jimmy Fallon Brings Jay Leno Back to “The Tonight Show” for Surprise Appearance

Jimmy Fallon surprised his audience, as well as viewers at home, on Tuesday night when he brought Jay Leno back to The Tonight Show.

Fallon started the show as usual–easing into his monologue. Then he suffered an injury.

“I think I pulled a hammie on that one. I don’t think I can continue,” Jimmy Fallon said. “I think I’m going to have to sub out. Can someone tag in for me please?”

That’s when Jay Leno took the stage to an abundance of loud applause. He took over the monologue, immediately launching into several one-liners about presidential candidates.

“You know, a lot of people think that when the Republican feud begins to clear, it’ll be between Jeb Bush and Donald Trump–kind of like the race between the tortoise and the bad ‘hair.’”

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders got their fair share of time during the monologue, too.

Jimmy Fallon rejoined Jay Leno on stage when he started mocking the state of the economy.

“(The economy) is so bad even the Kardashians are losing their ass!” Jay Leno cracked.

“The economy is so bad Hillary Clinton wants people to look through her deleted e-mails to see if there’s anything from that Nigerian prince,” Jimmy Fallon added.

Did you catch Jay Leno when he appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night? Did it make you wish Jay was back at the helm or have you become a bona fide Jimmy Fallon fan since Leno left The Tonight Show?

  • Sarah Palin: Daughter Bristol Palin Says Hillary Clinton Fears Her Mom

Sarah Palin is feared by Hillary Clinton? That’s exactly what Bristol Palin wants everyone to believe. On Thursday, a new batch of emails from Hillary Clinton’s email server went public, and Sarah Palin’s name was in some of them.

Stemming from a 2011 Clinton email about a State Department decision to replace “mother” and “father” on passport applications with gender-neutral language, Hillary wrote the following.

“I’m not defending that decision, which I disagree w and knew nothing about, in front of this Congress. I could live w letting people in nontraditional families choose another descriptor so long as we retained the presumption of mother and father,” Clinton wrote. “”We need to address this today or we will be facing a huge Fox-generated media storm led by [Sarah] Palin et al.”

Bristol Palin took to her blog to defend Sarah Palin and slam Clinton.

“The liberals like Hillary Clinton would have you believe all sorts of lies about my mother,” she wrote. “But, behind closed doors, we find out all sorts of truths, including the fact that Hillary fears my mom’s power.”

Bristol Palin also feels Hillary Clinton only supports gay marriage–something Sarah Palin is against–because it is politically convenient.

“First of all, Hillary Clinton, the great tolerant one with rainbow Twitter avatars granting open-mindedness to any family formation under the sun, seems a bit more traditional in private than she does in public,” she wrote. “One might call it hypocritical if it didn’t come across as so focused on self-preservation instead of any actual policy stance.”

Does Hillary Clinton fear Sarah Palin?

    Not likely.

While there are indeed some powers-that-be who Hillary should likely fear, Sarah Palin probably isn’t one of them.

Does Bristol Palin think she holds any power in the upcoming primaries? Does she truly believe her blog posts in support of mom Sarah Palin can sway voters away from Hillary Clinton?
