  • Alexa PenaVega Earns Perfect Scores, Still Voted Off “Dancing With the Stars”

Alexa PenaVega may have earned two perfect scores on Monday night’s Dancing With the Stars performances, but it amounted to a case of too little, too late. Despite those perfect 10s, Alexa PenaVega was voted off Dancing With the Stars this week.

Last week’s performances put Alexa in jeopardy of elimination, along with husband Carlos PenaVega. With the two up for elimination, it drew to a close the first ever married couple competing against one another. When it was announced that Alexis PenaVega was the one eliminated, Carlos openly wept. He said he wished he’d been eliminated instead of his wife.

Her time on Dancing With the Stars gave Alexa PenaVega the confidence to talk about a previous issue with bulimia.

“This show allowed me to gain that confidence to just talk about it and maybe help other people who are going through that and really just put it all to rest,” she said Tuesday on Good Morning America.

Pro dance partner Mark Ballas said he was proud of Alexa, and would consider her a “friend for life.”

In addition to Alexa PenaVega, Andy Grammer, Hayes Grier, Paula Deen, Chaka Khan, Victor Espinoza, and Gary Busey have all been voted off Dancing With the Stars this season.

Were you surprised by this week’s elimination?

  • Bindi Irwin Scares Up Perfect Score in “Dancing With the Stars” Halloween Performace

Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough received perfect scores from the Dancing With the Stars judges this week–making it the second week in a row the pair has aced their performances. This week found Bindi Irwin scaring up 10s while dressed as Queen of the Vampires as she and Derek Hough did a Tango to “Cry Little Sister,” a song from the 1987 classic horror flick The Lost Boys.

This dance not only saw Bindi Irwin ace her steps, she also proved she can transform her persona from the sweet, 17-year-old conservationist to a bloodthirsty character that’s about as far from Bindi’s personality as fire is from ice.

Wearing pale makeup to give her a more vampiric appearance, Bindi Irwin was decked out in a shimmering red dress and prosthetic fangs.

Once she and Derek completed their dance, however, the real Bindi Irwin shone through. She was unable to control her excitement over executing exceptional moves on the dance floor, and receiving 10s for the performance.

Did you catch Derek Hough and Bindi Irwin Monday night on Dancing With the Stars?

If not–this spoiler alert is meant for you.

While Bindi Irwin remains at the top of the list of DWTS “stars,” and is favored to win the season, someone had to go home.

Hayes Grier was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars, meaning the curtain falls for him and pro dance partner Emma Slater.

“They are brilliant people. This has meant so much to me,” Hayes said following his elimination, as he hugged Emma Slater. “This has been a life-changing event.”

Bindi Irwin, however, moves on to next week’s competition–and as with most weeks so far, she gets better and better the more she dances.

Do you think Bindi Irwin will win this season of Dancing With the Stars? If not Bindi, then who do you expect will take home the mirror ball trophy?

  • Olivia Newton-John: Daughter Chloe Lattanzi Joins Her at “DWTS,” Talks Anorexia Battle and Wedding plans

Olivia Newton-John served as a guest judge this week on Dancing With the Stars. The Xanadu and Grease star was joined on the pre-show red carpet by 29-year-old daughter Chloe Lattanzi, who may have gained more media attention than her famous mom.

Chloe Lattanzi is engaged to martial arts instructor James Driskill. She was asked when accompanying Olivia Newton-John backstage at DWTS about her engagement and her battle with anorexia.

“I think my fiancé had a lot to do with helping me get through it. I’m grateful I’m recovered fully, I’m healthy, I have a lot of fat on my body,” Olivia Newton-John’s daughter told Fox411.

Lattanzi added that recovering from anorexia was the hardest thing she’s ever done.

“Terrible, awful having people taking pictures of you, writing about you when you’re that sick,” she said.

It must have been horrible for Olivia Newton-John, too, as watching one’s child battle something they may not survive is devastating. Olivia Newton-John is a breast cancer survivor, so she knows firsthand what battling something potentially fatal is all about.

“I feel amazing. I have a cancer wellness center in Australia that bears my name,” Newton-John said following her stint as a Dancing With the Stars judge.

“I’m very proud and grateful for that so I put all my passion into funding the wellness programs so that other people going through cancer can have those healing experiences,” she added.

Olivia Newton-John enjoyed a trip back in time while on DWTS, when contestant Hayes Grier and his pro partner Emma Slater recreated her iconic dance from Grease, “You’re The One That I Want.”

“It was so long ago,” she said. “It was like going to a school that I never went to. I went to a very strict kind of school where they wore uniforms and they separated the boys and girls at either end of the school so [filming “Grease”] it was like going back to my childhood. I was 29 when I made the movie, that’s Chloe’s age [now]. It was really a blast, the music and the camaraderie.”

Olivia Newton-John and Chloe Lattanzi have a new single out called “You Have to Believe.” A remix of Olivia’s 1980 hit single, “Magic,” it must have been a blast for the singer to collaborate with her daughter.

It sounds like Olivia Newton-John and her daughter will be collaborating on something even more important next year–Chloe Lattanzi’s wedding to James Driskill.

“We’ve been engaged for four years. We’re both lazy and we’re thinking sometime next year,” Lattanzi said.

Images of Chloe Lattanzi are circling the media following her DWTS appearance with Olivia Newton-John–in part for her inflated lips and burgeoning breasts. It seems like Chloe–unlike her famous mom–has had significant (and not completely successful) work done that might turn downright ugly in her later years.

Did you catch Olivia Newton-John on Dancing With the Stars this week? The singer-actress is headed back to Vegas now, where she has extended her residency through January.

  • Alek Skarlatos: Emma Slater Breaks His Nose During “DWTS” Rehearsal, Will She Break His Heart, Too?

Alek Skarlatos and Emma Slater were paired for this week’s switch-up of partners on Dancing With the Stars. Slater actually broke his nose during rehearsal.

Will Emma Slater break Alek Skarlatos’ heart, too?

“I really wanted to make my mark,” Slater joked about the mishap.

The two agreed on camera to go on a date after answering talking with People magazine about their respective ideas for dream dates.

“I’ve got a truck and there are some mountains in Oregon,” Alek Skarlatos said of his dream date idea. “So we can go up straight up into the mountains in the truck and look at the stars.”

Emma Slater liked his plan, but needed Greek food thrown into the mix.

On the dance floor, Alek Skarlatos and Emma Slater were pure magic.

“I kind of knew it would be like that and now I want to watch it back,” Emma Slayer said following the passionate rumba the two performed. “From the first day of rehearsal, we were really comfortable with each other. Some people just have that energy that you can have a laugh with straight away and just do normal stuff with.”

“I am really lucky with the partner I got for Switch-Up Week,” Alek Skarlatos–one of the men who thwarted a terrorist attack in Paris earlier this summer–said. “I think it’s the most fun week I’ve had on the show yet.”

Next week the two return to their original Dancing With the Stars partner–Hayes Grier and Lindsay Arnold, respectively.

But about that date–will Emma Slater break Alek Skarlatos heart in addition to his nose? Or might things really click for these two?

  • Gary Busey Heads Home After Emotional ‘Dancing With the Stars’

After an emotion-laden episode of Dancing With the Stars, actor Gary Busey and his partner Anna Trebunskaya were eliminated from the dancing competition.

Despite his elimination, Busey said his elimination was not necessarily final.

“The fact that I’ve been eliminated is false,” Gary Busey declared following the announcement that the dancing team were headed home. “You won’t see us dancing, but we’ll be there.”

It was an entirely emotional night as the stars relived their most memorable year, and for many, their most memorable year was also one of their more difficult and heartbreaking years.

Bindi Irwin paid tribute to her father, Steve Irwin, in a beautiful dance with partner Derek Hough that left the judges holding back tears. Alek Skarlatos danced for his school, Umpqua Community College, after last week’s unimaginable shooting, and Andy Grammer danced for his late mother, according to E! Online.

Bindi’s gorgeous tribute to her father took the top score of the night and earned the first 10 from Bruno Tonioli.

Other highlights included a fun tribute by Nick Carter to his Backstreet Boys days. Social media star Hayes Grier earned a 27 out of 30 for his dance to Shawn Mendes’ Stitches.

Here’s the scores for the night:

Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskaya: 16/30
Paula Deen and Louis Van Amstel: 18/30
Alexa Vega and Mark Ballas: 21/30
Andy Grammer and Allison Holker: 23/30
Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold: 24/30
Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson: 988=25/30
Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess: 999=27/30
Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy: 999=27/30
Hayes Grier and Emma Slater: 999=27/30
Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough: 9910=28/30

Do you think Gary Busey should have been eliminated last night?

  • Emma Slater, Hayes Grier Wow Fans With Foxtrot on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ Show Sees First Elimination

Emma Slater and Hayes Grier wowed their fans on Monday night with their Foxtrot for week two of Dancing With the Stars. Scoring 22 out of a possible 30 points, the numbers didn’t quite reflect his fans’ enthusiasm. Boasting a huge internet following, Hayes could win DWTS on his fan base alone, provided he keeps his numbers respectable by the judges’ standards.

Prior to Monday night’s competition, Emma Slater took to Twitter to drum up some excitement.

It was “Hometown Week,” and Emma Slater and Hayes Grier did his hometown proud.

Even if you’re not a huge fan of Emma Slater and Hayes Grier, you must admit they’re an adorable couple.

DWTS drummed up some excitement for #TeamSlayes, as Emma Slater and Hayes Grier are known on the show.

Are you cheering on Emma Slater and Hayes Grier on this season of Dancing With the Stars?

Fortunately Hayes and Emma are still standing strong in the competition. DWTS bid adieu to Chaka Khan in this season’s first elimination.

  • Hayes Grier Charms As He Dances With Emma Slater On ‘DWTS’ Premiere

Hayes Grier charmed the judges and audience Monday as he debuted his dancing skills with partner Emma Slater on the Dancing With the Stars Premiere.

Just Jared Jr. reported that the duo danced the Cha Cha set to the song of the summer, Cheerleader by OMI and received a total of 21 out of 30 from the judges.

“#HayesGirlsAreBeautiful cuz you all really are I love you all so much you have no idea how much you all mean to me,” Hayes recently tweeted to his fans.

Emma tweeted, “Great camera blocking today, so proud of @HayesGrier & I can’t wait to show everyone tomorrow what we’ve been working on! @DancingABC #DWTS”

Earlier in the week, Hayes Grier, a social media mega star and the show’s youngest male competitor ever at 15, and Emma revealed their team name — Team Slayes! — to their fans on social media.

“Morning! Another rehearsal day with @HayesGrier ???????? & today we’ll let u know what team name YOU unanimously suggested for us!! ???? @DancingABC,” Emma wrote on Twitter before the announcement.

Hayes added a bit later in the day, “Honestly dancing is so fun.”

Speaking with The Charlotte Observer, Hayes opened up about joining DWTS for Season 21.

“I’d hang back and watch everybody else unless I had a group of my friends that would all go out there and just be messing around,” he admitted about his shyness. “It was never me actually going to the dance floor and trying to impress anybody. I was never good enough to do that.”

  • ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 21: Chaka Khan, Bindi Irwin, and More Sign On

Dancing With the Stars begins in September with its 21st season, and it promises to be an exciting one. Chaka Khan, Bindi Irwin, Paula Deen, and Nick Carter are just a few of those who recently signed on the dotted line to compete for that coveted mirror ball trophy.

62-year-old singer-songwriter Chaka Khan’s song lyrics from her 1974 hit with Rufus were used to announce that she was joining this season of Dancing With the Stars.

Chaka Khan definitely has the musical experience that will likely put her at an advantage over someone like Paula Deen, for example. It doesn’t seem like being 62 will be a hindrance for the seasoned professional either. Of course she will be up against some much younger contestants, too, like 17-year-old Bindi Irwin.

Bindi Irwin–daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin–says competing on Dancing With the Stars will be scarier than anything she’s ever done. And Bindi Irwin has done some incredibly scary things.

Paula Deen, Nick Carter, Vine star and social media phenom Hayes Grier, and more are already in rehearsals for season 21 of Dancing With the Stars, premiering on September 14.

Bindi Irwin has already been spotted in costume.

Are you excited about this upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars?

Of the contestants named thus far, who is your favorite? Are you already a Chaka Khan fan from the 1970s and supporting her in this competition? Or were you a diehard Steve Irwin fan, so leaning toward supporting Bindi Irwin instead?

The entire cast–and their pro partners, too–will be announced on Good Morning America this week, on Wednesday morning, September 2.
