  • Allison Williams: “Girls” Star Dishes About Lack of Specific Skills

Allison Williams is good at lots of things, and she’s not afraid to admit to things she isn’t good at. In a recent interview for Harper’s Bazaar, she acknowledges her biggest weakness, but it’s really not that bad at all.

“I am the world’s worst cook,” the Girls star admits in the December/January issue. “Not only am I bad at it, but I also have some kind of inability to learn.”

Williams, who is the daughter of ousted NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, says there’s a typical scenario that plays out each time she tries to cook.

“The salad is done first and is soggy by the time you eat, the pasta is al dente, but not in a good way,” she explains. “And I’m perpetually worried that the meat is going to poison everyone, so it ends up being black.”

Allison Williams got married to Ricky Van Veen in September. Does this weakness mean she doesn’t feed her husband?

“It’s a nightmare, so I just order in,” she said.

Even though Allison Williams can’t cook, there are certainly plenty of things she does well. She’s an exceptional actress. She is a stunning fashion model, too. In fact, she talks about her favorite go-to styles in her interview.

“When it comes to my style icons, I’ve always had a thing for the K’s: Keaton. Kelly. Kruger. Kate. Katharine,” Allison Williams explained. “They all represent sophisticated fashion that’s also full of life. After all, clothes are fun — it’s dress-up for adults. I’d like to call my style easy, timeless, and rustic preppy (if that’s a thing), which most often translates as endless button-downs, a chic pair of boots, a good variety of sweaters, and my staple–jeans.”

Surely those close to Allison Williams will forgive her for her lack of cooking skills.

She makes up for it in so many other ways.

  • Natalie Portman Talks About Juggling Career And Parenting In Harper’s Bazaar

Natalie Portman, mother of 4-year-old Aleph Portman-Millepied, discusses balancing motherhood and a career Harper’s Bazaar’s August issue. The actress also talks about embracing French culture, saying, “It’s magical!”

“But the cultures are different in ways you don’t even realize. And there’s stuff you don’t know you’ll miss until you’re away,” the Black Swan star continues. “Like indoor gyms where kids can just run around and jump. They don’t have those there.”

“[In Paris], if you’re running around on the playground chasing your kid and playing a game, people think you’re nuts.”

Portman, 34, made her debut as a director for the drama film A Tale of Love and Darkness which was released earlier this year.

She will also be starring in the upcoming action-western movie Jane Got a Gun to be released this September.

Juggling a busy career and a growing toddler can be very hard for a mother. In fact, she admitted to have taken Parenting 101 from a fellow Academy Award winner, Cate Blanchett.

Portman tells Harper’s Bazaar, “Very early on, I asked [Cate Blanchett] about being a parent. I said, ‘How do you do it? You’re a mom. You’re the best at what you do.’”

“She said, ‘You just do. Stressing about it doesn’t help.’”

Apparently, Portman’s husband, Benjamin Millepied, whom she co-starred with in Black Swan, admitted to feeling the same as his wife, saying, “Most men I know are dealing with the same issues. They say they feel like if they work too hard they won’t have enough time with their families.

“Maybe those questions need to be asked of men, too. Maybe the men need better questions,” the 38-year-old French choreographer added.

  • Jenna Dewan And Channing Tatum Propositioned By “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke

Jenna Dewan is gorgeous, and her husband, Channing Tatum, is nothing to sneeze at, either.

But, apparently the brilliance that is Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum together is just too much for Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke to handle.

Emilia Clarke told Harper’s Bazaar just what it was like to meet Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum in person.

She explained, “Someone took a fantasy in my head and played it in real life.”

She continued, “I was at a Golden Globes after-party and Channing F**king Tatum came up to me, and his stunning missus, Jenna [Dewan]. And they said, ‘We call each other “moon of my life” and “my sun and stars” and all that.’ ”

She added, “And I was like, ‘I cannot contain this. Please, can we all have something sexual together? You’re both beautiful, even just a hug.’ ”

When asked if any gentlemen have tried that line on her, she said, “Someone definitely should.”

Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum aren’t the only celebrities that Emilia Clarke gushed over in her interview. She also shared what it was like filming Terminator 1.0 and working with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

She said of the grueling scenes, “The hours were so long and the guns were so heavy, so I had to get myself into a place where I wouldn’t crap out at four o’clock. And also I am the only girl, so I wanted to be like, ‘Hey, boys, let me give you a run for your money.’ ”

As far as working with Schwarzenegger, Clarke said it was a surprising pleasure.

She said, “It never gets old. He was so much fun. I expected this massive ego to turn up, but he is this charming, sweet, kind man. He got really excited to film the scenes.”

Sweet words from Emilia Clarke! What do you think about her propositioning Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum?

  • Kendall Jenner Graces Cover Of Harper’s Bazaar, Works With Karl Lagerfeld

Kendall Jenner has been steadily making a name for herself in the fashion scene. Now, with a 10-page spread in Harper’s Bazaar, the reality show star has established herself as a key player in the business.

The 19-year-old graces the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s May issue and is also featured in the magazine’s annual beauty edition.

Kendall is all glammed up in the photos, wearing elaborate pieces straight from Chanel’s fall-winter 2015 collection. More impressively, the eye-catching photos were taken by no less than Chanel’s head honcho himself, Karl Lagerfeld.

The two have unexpectedly developed a unique and strong friendship, something that surprised even the young Kendall, especially after how she initially felt around the design icon.

“I’m really shy when I first meet someone- and to meet him was even worse. He would say something to me and I would just nod. It was like meeting a crush or something – I was mute,” Kendall confessed. “And then every time we’d see each other, it would just get better and better. Now we’re totally BFFs.”

It’s a good thing too, as Lagerfeld seems to be helping Kendall become a better model.

“I’ve actually learned to be a better model,” she admitted. “Whenever I shoot with him, he gives me some tips, little things, pointers.”

Aside from fashion, Kendall also talks about her famous family and her model-friends in the accompanying article. She admits that despite walking the runways of some pretty high-profile brands, Kendall still looks up to big sister Kim’s fashion style.

“I really admire Kim’s style. It’s insane. She really knows how to work her style with her body,” Kendall gushes. “It’s so fun to be in Paris with her, but I’ll walk out and be like ‘Oh, my God, I love my outfit,’ and then I’ll see Kim and I’ll be like, ‘My outfit sucks compared to yours!’”

Kendall also dishes about hanging out with looker Cara Delevingne and other models, as well as her plans to stay in the fashion industry.

You can read more about it when the issue hits stands on April 21.

  • Megan Fox Admits She Didn’t Do Much In “Transformers” And Knows That Gave “Not Very Smart” Impression

Megan Fox continues to battle the impression that she first gave when she starred in Transformers in her early 20’s.

Her performance lacked, well, everything but eye candy, but Megan Fox admits that she was young and didn’t know what she was doing.

Megan Fox said, “In Transformers I was a kid. I had no idea what I was doing. There was nothing for me to do [in the film], but then I did nothing and that was my own call.”

She added, “I don’t take it personally because in some ways I acknowledge and agree. But at the same time, both established comedians and Quentin Tarantino have come up to me and said, ‘I really liked Jennifer’s Body. You were really good in that’.”

Megan Fox also said, “The people whose opinions matter liked it, so I’m OK with that.”

Megan Fox also conceded that she knows people don’t think she’s smart.

She said, “I would say most people assume that I’m not very smart or educated or earnest, because I have this image that I’m sort of narcissistic, chasing attention, and wanting people to like me.”

A photo posted by Megan Fox (@the_native_tiger) on

Megan Fox added, “It makes me laugh because I’ve done plenty of interviews and when you read the article from beginning to end you can see that I’m not your typical music video model.”

While Megan Fox has looked the part of “music video model” through her younger years, she says back then she really didn’t know what she wanted out of life, except that she wanted to be a mom.

Megan Fox said of her Transformer days, “I think there’s a lot of growing personally that I needed to do, to control my passion. I really wanted to be a mom, and I wasn’t yet, and I really struggled with that.”

She added, “I was just too young to see where I wanted to go.”

  • Anne Hathaway Talks Fans Turned Haters

Anne Hathaway has had a pretty amazing career and has starred in a number of hit films.

In spite of all of her accomplishments, she still feels like she just can’t win over the crowd and is upset that many of her fans have turned into haters.

In the October issue of Elle UK, Anne talks about fame and the effects it has had on her.

“This fame thing? (Expletive) me up for a really long time. I didn’t know how to do it; I didn’t know how to engage with it; it stressed me out. And people would say, ‘You just have to be yourself,’ and I was like, ‘But I don’t know who that is yet,’” she said.

In addition to being on the cover of Elle UK, Hathaway is also on the cover of the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

The actress said that one of the biggest problems she has with fame is that the world tries to tell you who you are or who you can’t be.

She said that people have a hard time finding her sexy and that it’s something that bothers her and has even cost her some movie roles.

While these things used to get to her, Hathaway claims that she has learned to ignore the haters and rumors that surround her and is comfortable with who she is now, regardless of how everyone else feels about her.

“I’ve realized that I don’t need validation from anybody. At all. I’m not sitting here now worrying, ‘What do you think of me?’ With all due respect, you seem like a lovely lady, but I don’t need you, or anyone else, to like me,” Hathaway said. “And that’s so liberating. It’s a big reveal, man.”

The haters sure haven’t stopped Hathaway from doing what she loves and she has been busy working on several films. She is currently promoting Interstellar and also filming The Intern.

  • Anne Hathaway Says She “Was In Crisis” Over “Hathahate”

Following her Oscar win in 2013, Anne Hathaway reportedly experienced a wave of negative reaction called “Hathahate” that caused her to retreat temporarily from the limelight. In her recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Hathaway talks about that period of her life and how she is ready to woo back her fans and detractors.

“People treated me a certain way. But I’ve grown from it. This whole thing has made me a way more compassionate and loving person. And I don’t feel sorry for myself,” she said. Hathaway graces the cover of the November issue in a red strapless Giogrio Armani Prive gown with a sequined bodice.

After an awkward acceptance speech at the 2013 Golden Globes for her Best Supporting Actress win, where she reportedly forgot to mention her cancer-stricken manager, Hathaway made a faux pas when the film Les Miserables won later that night. “While everyone was still getting onstage, I spoke. I should have gone after everyone else. I own that; it was rude,” Hathaway said.

The next day, Hathaway encountered an article hating on her, which left her feeling “punched in the gut.” She claimed her ill health at the time due to her role in Les Miserable left her feeling vulnerable, but she didn’t want to court sympathy at the time. “I was in crisis. Now I’d be fine. I really would be. I’d let it roll off my back, but at the time I was still partly Fantine. I was still identifying with being a victim,” said Hathaway. Even winning the Oscar that year was overshadowed by the pink dress from Prada that Hathaway chose to wear, which showcased her nipples. Hathaway reportedly decided to wear the dress because she had no other options at the last minute.

Hathaway said that the controversy surrounding her temporarily made studios afraid to touch her, but that her current role in the upcoming movie Interstellar set things right for her again. “Once it was announced that I was doing Interstellar, thankfully the phone started ringing again,” she said.

  • Kirsten Dunst Turns 32, Revels in Fashion

Kirsten Dunst is celebrating her 32nd birthday on Monday. In honor of her big day, E! took a look back at some of her best forays into the fashion world. Not only has Dunst heated up red carpets for several years now, she also rocks her individual style in some fashions the rest of us simply can’t pull off.

Kirsten is married to actor Garrett Hedlund, who looks pretty darn good himself. These two are a stunning couple when spotted out and about side by side.

“My favorite age is now,” Dunst said in a recent interview. “I love my friendships, and I know I have fun things to look forward to.”

Looking back on Kirsten Dunst’s many fashion photos over the years, one can easily see that her style choices are eclectic. From jeans and off-the-shelf t-shirts to little black dresses replete with sexy cutouts, she brightens up everything she wears with well-defined lips in pink or red. The rest of her makeup palette stays light and fresh, however. Her hair is typically worn down or in a simple up do. Kirsten never appears like she’s a high maintenance kind of girl.

Dunst doesn’t much care what people think either. She is happy to be her own best self, and never feels like she needs to conform to what Hollywood–or anyone else for that matter–thinks of her. She crossed that line into the offensive recently, however, with the following comment in Harper’s Bazaar UK.

“I feel like the feminine has been a little undervalued. We all have to get our own jobs and make our own money, but staying at home, nurturing, being the mother, cooking – it’s a valuable thing my mum created. And sometimes, you need your knight in shining armour. I’m sorry. You need a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman. That’s why relationships work,” she said.

What’s your take on what the actress says about gender roles?

Regardless of what people think, the actress is still celebrating turning 32, and she is likely doing it in style. Hopefully her birthday is celebrated in the company of family members and dear friends, where the women cook and clean up after the event and the men sit around enjoying cocktails and smoking their cigars.

Oh–you don’t think Kirsten Dunst would like that?

  • Lady Gaga Says She’s Recently Been Depressed

Unless you haven’t noticed yet, it seems that Lady Gaga has been missing in action as of late. Just think about it, between the end of 2013 and the start of 2014, you haven’t seen the singer-songwriter on TV much or on awards shows.

Plus, she hasn’t been doing a whole bunch of radio interviews and she hasn’t graced the cover of too many magazines since the beginning of the year. And considering her latest album “Artpop” was just released this past November, one would think she would still be making several appearances to support it, but that doesn’t seem to be the case at all.

So why has Lady Gaga been so low-key lately? Is she tiring of the whole fame thing and does she need a break, or is it something else?

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Gaga said she’s been having some emotional problems, which started right after “Artpop” was released, and she eluded to the fact that the music industry and her inner circle have been weighing her down.

“I became very depressed at the end of 2013,” she said. “I was exhausted fighting people off. I couldn’t even feel my own heartbeat. I was angry, cynical and had this deep sadness like an anchor dragging everywhere I go. I just didn’t feel like fighting anymore. I didn’t feel like standing up for myself one more time, to one more person who lied to me.”

And these feelings persisted until New Year’s Day 2014, when Gaga decided to battle her depression, because if she didn’t, she would have completely lost herself, she said.

“I really felt like I was dying, my light completely out,” she explained. “I said to myself, ‘Whatever is left in there, even just one light molecule, you will find it and make it multiply. You have to for you. You have to for your music. You have to for your fans and your family.’”

And now, Gaga says she’s lifting herself up and making wonderful strides to defeat her depression once and for all, but she had to find a small sliver of hope within herself to do that, she said. “I learned that my sadness never destroyed what was great about me,” she noted. “You just have to go back to that greatness, find that one little light that’s left. I’m lucky I found one little glimmer stored away.”

  • Keira Knightley Reveals Why She Left Twitter

Actress Keira Knightley is known for her mighty talent and less for her personal life. While the 28-year-old is a huge celebrity on the big-screen, the star likes to keep to herself when not in the spotlight. It comes as no surprise when we heard that Knightley deleted her Twitter account only 12 hours after its creation. The star opened up about her take on social media in the latest issue of Harpers Bazaar.

That’s right, Knightley singed up for Twitter under a false name. But the daring experiment only lasted 12 short hours.

“It made me feel a little bit like being in a school playground and not being popular and standing on the sidelines kind of going, ‘Argh.’”

Harpers then went on to ask the actress is she minds when audiences have a false impression of her she said, “No, I think that’s fine… I like being private.

Knightley continued and said, “I haven’t asked a lot of the actresses who I really admire, ‘How do you do it?’ because I don’t want to know. Maybe I’m childish in that way; I just don’t want to know about your life. The work is all that matters.”

Knightley who is known for her work in Pride & Prejudice, Atonement and Pirates of the Caribbean is currently working on the film based off the latest Tom Clancy book, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

  • Kate Hudson “Not a Big High-End Shopper”

Kate Hudson “Not a Big High-End Shopper”

She certainly looks like a glamorous movie star who can just buy whatever she wants. And she comes from Hollywood royalty. Her mother is actress Goldie Hawn, and she was raised around Hawn’s long time partner Kurt Russell. However, Kate Hudson wants you to know something. In a recent interview for the December-January issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the 34-year-old beautifully blonde actress, made a confession. “People think we own all these dresses but we borrow them. I can’t afford to buy that stuff. There are certain things I splurge on, but it’s very rare, especially when you have two kids and school tuition. I’m not a big high-end shopper.”

Yes, it’s true, even A-List film stars can’t always wear Valentino and deck themselves out with solid gold. The Almost Famous Academy Award nominated actress claims that she wasn’t raised in lavishness, despite the film success of her family. “My mom wasn’t a big shopper for us. I think they wanted to instill that in us even though we grew up in a really privileged and lucky lifestyle.”

As for raising her own two kids, Ryder (nine years old) and Bing (two years old), Hudson claims that she can’t even bring herself to buy Ryder a cellphone. “I see his friends texting people, and I just can’t do it. The first device I got was a pager.”

Don’t fret, because Hudson is doing just fine. She looks so amazing in fact that she is on the cover of Bazaar’s Best-Dressed issue. Here’s a tweet from photographer Alexi Lubomirski:

Hudson currently has two films in post-production, Wish I Was Here which was directed by Zach Braff and Good People which stars James Franco. Both movies are currently slated for a 2014 release.

  • Kate Hudson “Can’t Afford To Buy” Designer Clothes

Who knew? Stars really are just like us!

Actress Kate Hudson is the cover girl for the December-January issue of Harper’s Bazaar and in the magazine she tells us she doesn’t own any of the designer duds we see her wear on the red carpet nor can she afford them.

Hudson said, “People think we own all these dresses. but we borrow them! I can’t afford to buy that stuff. There are certain things I splurge on, but it’s very rare, especially when you have two kids and school tuition. I’m not a big high-end fashion shopper. I wish I could but the truth is things are just so expensive. Before Isabel Marant was a million dollars and famous, I used to go to her store in Paris and go crazy, it was so affordable.”

The actress doesn’t go crazy when she goes shopping, something she learned from her mother, Goldie Hawn. and her longtime love, Kurt Russell, “My mom wasn’t a big shopper for us. I think they wanted to instill that in us even though we grew up in a really privileged and lucky lifestyle,” said Hudson.

That responsibility has Hudson uncomfortable with another purchase – buying her eldest son, Ryder a cell phone. Hudson said, “As for Ryder, all he wants is a cell phone. “I see his friends texting people, and I just can’t do it. The first device I got was a pager! I was 13, and it was hot pink.”

Also included in the article is how happy Hudson is in her adult life. “I’m loving becoming an adult,” said Hudson. She says Ann Taylor CEO Kay Krill has inspired her when it comes to balancing her work and personal life. “She’s a huge advocate for women – and for realizing we are capable of whatever we put our minds to,” said Hudson.

Starting her own clothing line is something Hudson is currently thinking about. “I really think that if I’m going to put my effort into something, I want to reach a larger amount of women, where they can afford the things I’m selling. Especially with the economy, it doesn’t make sense to me anymore,” said Hudson.

Hudson also discussed her work ethic, saying, “I do have the work ethic, of when you show up to something, you do it.”

One Hudson fan took to Twitter to post a few photos from Harper’s Bazaar to his Twitter.

  • Madonna Revisits Her Dark Past In Harpers

Madonna is no stranger to making headlines. This Friday, the 55-year-old singer revisited her dark past from her early days living in New York City.

In a guest essay spot for Harper’s Bazaar, the pop diva once again addressed when she was held at knifepoint and raped on the roof of a building shortly after having moved to New York.

“New York wasn’t everything I thought it would be,” she writes. “It did not welcome me with open arms. The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back, and had my apartment broken into three times,” said Madonna.

“The tall buildings and the massive scale of New York took my breath away. The sizzling-hot sidewalks and the noise of the traffic and the electricity of the people rushing by me on the streets was a shock to my neurotransmitters. I felt like I had plugged into another universe. I felt like a warrior plunging my way through the crowds to survive. Blood pumping through my veins, I was poised for survival. I felt alive,” continued Madonna.

But the pop diva wasn’t all smiles for N.Y.C.

She went on to say, “But I was also scared shitless and freaked out by the smell of piss and vomit everywhere, especially in the entryway of my third-floor walk-up.”

While the story is still shocking, it’s not the first time Miss. Madonna has told it. The frightening story came to life in an interview promoting her book, “Sex,” back in 1995.

Madonna said her experiences of living in the Big Apple have made her, “much more street smart and savvy.”

  • Kate Winslet Divorce, Marriage Discussed in New Interview

Kate Winslet graces the cover of the newest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, and the Daily Mail has the scoop on the magazine’s interview with the Oscar winner.

According to the report, Winslet speaks about her divorce, her recent marriage, and her newfound clarity about how her past experiences have shaped her.

Winslet also provided a rambling account of how her personal life has affected her acting. “I have so much more material to draw on for work – rubble, bricks – and I know I can carry it now,” the Daily Mail quotes Winslet as saying. “I’m not going to drop it, and if I do, I’ll sift through it. Does that make any sense at all? Probably not…”

Winslet was married to English director Jim Threapleton from 1998 until 2001. More recently she was married to English director Sam Mendes, but the couple divorced in 2010. Last December Winslet surprised many by marrying Ned Rocknroll, a Virgin Galactic executive and nephew of billionaire Richard Branson.
