  • Hangover 3 Reviews Are Mostly Negative, Say Film Isn’t Funny

The Hangover 3 didn’t seem like it would wow critics, but we couldn’t be for sure until the reviews came in. Well, Hangover 3 reviews are now coming in and critics aren’t exactly in love with it.

Currently sitting at a 25 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, The Hangover 3 is a certified critical bomb. Critics around the country are complaining that the film isn’t funny, and that it reeks of a cheap cash-in. Here’s what some of the critics are saying:

Odie Henderson for the Chicago Sun-Times says: “I had to wait until halfway through the closing credits for my first, and only, laugh.

Scott Weinberg of GeekNation was a little more harsh: “Exists for the producers, the studios and nobody else. Insulting, amateurish garbage.”

Richard Roeper delivers what is perhaps the most damning review: “Director Todd Phillips delivers a film so different from the first two, I’m not even sure it’s supposed to be a comedy.”

Despite all the hate for the film, some critics seemed to have enjoyed the film. Those who did enjoy it say that it’s not as good as the first one, but argue that it’s better than the second. Some are also saying that Zack Galifianakis’ performance is solid.

It seems that audiences who have seen the film so far overwhelmingly agree with the minority of critics that liked it. It’s currently sitting at an 88 percent on the audience meter on Rotten Tomatoes.

Thankfully for those who didn’t like it, The Hangover 3 is being billed as the last film in the franchise.

  • Zach Galifianakis Brings Homeless Woman to Movie Premieres

Zach Galifianakis is well-known for his dry comedy, but it turns out he’s got a sweet spot. It turns out the 43-year-old comedian recently saved an older woman from homelessness.

According to a New York Daily News report, Galifianakis befriended a Los Angeles-area laundrywoman named Elizabeth “Mimi” Haist nearly 20 years ago. A few years ago, when Galifianakis learned that the 87-year-old Haist had no place to call home, the Hangover star set her up with a one-bedroom apartment an has been paying her rent.

Now, Galifianakis is even bringing along Haist as his date to Hollywood premieres. Haist was reportedly brought to the premieres of The Hangover Part II and The Campaign, where gawkers wondered whether the woman was Galifianakis’ grandmother. According to the Daily News report, Haist relishes the looks she gets on the red carpet and enjoys martinis at exclusive after-parties.

  • Zach Galifianakis Discusses Why He Quit Drinking With Conan O’Brien

As the actors who comprise The Hangover’s Wolfpack hit the press circuit in preparation for next week’s release of The Hangover Part III, there are sure to be some interesting stories and anecdotes from the group that is Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, and of course, Zach Galifianakis. One such story was told by the host of Between the Ferns to the host of Conan, and it concerned why the bearded funnyman stopped fooling around with alcohol. While Galifianakis’ “rock bottom” story doesn’t go as low as some have before him, if it’s true, getting spit in the face can’t feel very redeeming, especially if it was your own drunk actions that caused the situation to escalate.

The timing of his confession, because of how he told the story, I’m sure, fits with the tone of the high-anticipated release of the trilogy’s third and final chapter. If the conditions of the interview were different, this could have been a much more dramatic explanation of why Galifianakis cut down on his libation intake. Now, it should be noted that my use of “cut down” as opposed to “stopped” is intentional. At the beginning of the video, Zach says he stopped drinking, but after his story, Conan confirms “you decided to cut back,” to which Galifianakis responds, “yeah, cut back.”

With that in mind, it’s up to you to decide whether he completely quit drinking or just slowed down. In other news, how does the idea of a vodka with sausage cocktail strike you?

  • Heather Graham Reprising Famous Role

    Heather Graham Reprising Famous Role

Heather Graham is reprising her role in the film that skyrocketed to popularity and coined many a phrase. Sadly, no, I’m not talking about “Boogie Nights” or “License To Drive”; she’ll be playing Jade once again in “The Hangover 3”.

Graham will be joining original cast members Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, and Zach Galifianakis as they face down one last round of epic bad decisions, and while it’s not clear how they’re going to squeeze any more funny out of bachelor party debauchery, Graham seems to have faith it can be done. Besides, her high-energy, flighty portrayal of stripper Jade will more than likely inject the film with a dose of sparkle, which she has in spades.

While Graham’s career has been dotted with bigger-budget flicks like “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me”, “Scream 2”, and “Boogie Nights”, she tends to veer mostly towards lower-profile roles or indie films. When she does pop up in a major movie, it’s almost always a delight.

“The Hangover 3” hits theaters on Memorial Day weekend, 2013.

    And, just because:
