  • Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady and Their Brood Channel Ferocious Dragons for Halloween

Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady and their brood were the most adorable group of dragons in town on Friday, dressing as a few of the How to Train Your Dragon characters for Halloween.

The 34-year-old supermodel posted a photo to her Instagram page of her family dressed to the hilt in dragon, including their kids, four-year-old Benjamin and Vivian, 22 months.

“That’s what happens when you let your four-year-old choose the family halloween costumes,” Bundchen captioned a shot of the family jumping in midair and looking really ferocious. “Happy Halloween!!! #dragonfamily.”

Turns out it was all Benjamin’s idea. He was dressed as How to Train Your Dragon character Toothless the Black Night Fury dragon from the beloved animated hit.

Little Benjamin spilled the beans about the family’s plans to don dragon on Oct. 20, when he joined in on an interview phone call with Brady.

“Hi, Mr. Gray!” the four-year-old said on the call with Westwood One Sports‘ Jim Gray. “Daddy’s costume just arrived at our house. It’s Barf and Belch, a dragon from How to Train Your Dragon.”

    Could he be any cuter?

Benjamin’s baby sister, Vivian, wore a full furry dragon costume. In the photo, she is seen being held by her famous mama decked out in a green horned mask and wings.

For Halloween last year, Bundchen and Brady dressed as Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion from the classic 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz.

Here are a few more cute family photos recently posted on the model’s Instagram page.

  • Halloween Costumes: Top Three Worst Ideas

Halloween is a time to get creative and have fun with your costume. While some people prefer to take the easy route and buy their costume from the store or online, many others like to make their own.

Regardless of how you obtain your costume, you probably choose it with the best of intentions. You may think it will scare somebody or make them laugh. Some of the worst Halloween costumes were bought or made with the best of intentions and while the wearer may have thought they were looking their best, that’s definitely not the case.

    Food Costumes
Everyone has a favorite food, but do you really need to dress up as it for Halloween? Food costumes are one of the worst costume ideas because they really make no sense. They aren’t scary, they aren’t sexy and they aren’t even all that funny. Sure they are random and a few of them might get some laughs, but it’s best to keep your food on your plate instead of wearing it as a costume.

    Mini Dress Costumes
To quote Mean Girls, “Halloween is the one day a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut and no other girls can say anything else about it.” Many girls take advantage of this unspoken rule and most people don’t complain, but girls, you can do better than animal ears and lingerie, and many of the popular mini dress costumes are very close to that. Not only are they boring and cheap, but if you are constantly being questioned about what your costume is, it probably isn’t a good one. There are plenty of ways to look sexy on Halloween, skip the lame mini dress costumes and get creative ladies.

    Celebrity Costumes
Who doesn’t like to make fun of celebrities, but celebrity costumes are old and overdone. Most of the time the person in the costume doesn’t look anything like the celebrity he or she is supposed to be and lets face it, we see enough of Miley Cyrus and the Duck Dynasty clan on the television. Do we really need to see them begging for candy or taking Jello shots at a Halloween party? I think everyone will agree that you can make fun of a celebrity without dressing like one for Halloween.

While these costumes might be some of the worst ever worn, there are plenty of other horrible costumes to be spotted this Halloween. If you happen to find yourself wearing one of these cliché costumes don’t feel bad. Halloween is all about having fun and if your costume makes you happy then own it, regardless of how terrible it might seem to everyone else around you.

  • Halloween Costume Ideas for You Fat Guys

Halloween Costume Ideas for You Fat Guys

The next two weeks are tough on big guys. Halloween is approaching, and a walk through those seasonal costume shops reveals what you already know, what you knew last year, and what you are sure everybody else knows:

They don’t make costumes for fat guys. Oh sure, there are costumes for tall guys, big athletes, broad-shouldered guys, but not for fat guys.

What to do? Well, you can fall back on the old “I had to work right up until time for the party and couldn’t go home to change” routine. Or you can take the bull by the horns and work what you have. You’re a fat guy. Make it play.

    Sumo Wrestler

This one takes some brass. But it doesn’t take much else. Traditional sumo garb is called a mawashi. It is a thick 30-foot long belt that is wrapped around the body and knotted in the back. A bedsheet or old curtain can be repurposed for this. Perhaps a dark wig and topknot could be used, as well.

If you do this, you will win prizes at parties. Walk tall.

    Peter Griffin

Green pants; black belt; brown shoes; white, long-sleeve shirt with sleeves rolled up past the elbow, tucked in over the gut; glasses. Part your hair to the side. Find a guy to wear a chicken costume and wreck the party fighting with you, and you got it made.

    Uncle Fester

This Addam’s Family fave is basically a monk robe with a rope belt. The real trick is in the makeup. Go with eyeliner, mascara, dark makeup around the eye sockets. A bald cap is a must. Then you have to liberally use “clown white” stage makeup all over everything above your collar except the eyes. Bring a lightbulb to hold in your mouth, especially if you can find one of those gag bulbs from a joke shop that will light up.

If you are thinking about this one, read up on Jackie Coogan, the actor who played Fester in the TV series. The guy was a fascinating person who hugely popular as a child actor, has a law named after him in California to this day, and flew missions behind enemy lines in plywood glider planes during World War II.

    Fat Albert

White collared shirt, red sweater, blue pants or jeans, black belt, sneakers. Oh, and it helps to be black. If you choose to do the blackface thing, you’d better know the room you’re headed into. In fact, just forget I said anything about that.

    Another Fat Guy

Pick another fat guy you know. Dress like that guy. Bonus points if you are going to a party that said fat guy will attend. There is nothing funnier than seeing a dude walk in wearing his “I had to work right up until time for the party and couldn’t go home to change” clothes, only to find himself staring back at him from across the room.

Don’t be the guy who wears an excuse. Be the guy who dares anyone to feel sorry for him. Let the other guy feel uncomfortable. Take home the prize.

  • Halloween: Tips For Keeping Kids Safe While Trick Or Treating

Halloween is almost here and that means trick or treaters will be knocking on your door and asking for candy.

While most people see Halloween and Trick Or Treat as a fun time of year, some parents get nervous and concerned for their children’s safety.

If you have young trick or treaters and want to make sure you are keeping them safe this Halloween, consider some of these tips.

    Costumes
Since most neighborhoods and cities hold Trick Or Treat during the evening hours, it will likely be dark out when your little mummy or goblin heads out. To make sure they are easily noticed by passing cars and other people, make sure their costumes are not too dark. If your child insists on wearing a dark colored costume, add a light or reflector of some sort to make them more noticeable at dark. You can find glow-in-the-dark stickers, light up pins and even glowstick necklaces that are perfect for night time trick or treating.

    Candy
While most people would never think of doing anything that could hurt a child, unfortunately, there are those that do. Before you let your child start eating Halloween candy gathered during Trick Or Treat, be sure to check each piece. If any pieces look like they have been tampered with throw them out and do not allow children to eat them.

    Boundaries
If you will not be accompanying your child during Trick Or Treat, be sure to set rules or boundaries for them. Give them a list of streets or houses that they are allowed to visit and a certain time to be back home. Also ask them to text or call you throughout the evening so you know they are okay.

    Groups
Regardless of how safe your neighborhood is or how old your children are, it is not a good idea to let them trick or treat alone. If you can’t go with them or they are at the age where they don’t want you to go, insist that they go with a friend or small group of friends. There is safety in numbers and the friends will help look out for each other.

Don’t stress out about Halloween and Trick Or Treat, enjoy them and follow these tips to make sure your children are safe and having fun too.

  • McKayla Maroney Halloween Costume By Bell’s Palsy Patient

Most of us know McKayla Maroney from her success in the London 2012 Olympics as part of the United States’ Women’s Gymnastics Team; however, the facial mannerisms that she has displayed throughout the course of the Olympics have made her an Internet meme sensation. One person was inspired by the commonly known “not impressed” look by Maroney and decided to base her Halloween costume around it.

The smirk that Maroney always made during the presentation of medals is what sparked her as a popular Internet meme figure, commonly referred to as “McKayla Maroney Is Not Impressed.” According to DeadSpin.com, this Internet meme inspired Leslie Barrett, a recently diagnosed Bell’s Palsy patient, to create her Halloween costume based on Maroney’s well-known crossed-arms-and-smirk look.

Even though Halloween was almost two weeks ago (according to the date of this article), this did not stop Barrett to pose in a stance almost identical to the pose used in the well-known Internet meme and publish it to a McKayla Maroney fan-based Facebook page. Within Barrett’s submission of the picture (shown above) to the Facebook page, she placed the following description.

“Two months ago I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, which means the right side of my face is temporarily paralyzed and I can only express emotion on my left. Last week at a party someone pointed out that I normally look like your “not impressed” face. I decided to incorporate my disability into my Halloween costume and dress up as you. This has hands down been the best costume I’ve ever had. It was the first time in months I got to look like I was intentionally making a face and it has helped me deal with the slow recovery a little better.”

Barrett submitted the picture to Facebook on November 2nd, and the Facebook post for this picture currently has 21 shares and 237 likes. The Halloween costume picture by Barrett has also sparked the attention of various Twitter users.

  • Isla Fisher Tried To Warn Julianne Hough About That Blackface

Isla Fisher reportedly tried to keep her friend Julianne Hough from making a big mistake on Halloween after she realized the “Dancing With The Stars” alum had shown up to a party in blackface, but either Hough didn’t listen or the photographers got to her before any damage control could be done.

While Fisher hasn’t commented on the party, a “source” says she told Hough to “go to the bathroom and wipe her face off”.

“Isla hoped she got to Julianne before photos were taken,” the source said.

Once the photos got out, Hough received an enormous amount of backlash for her costume choice–which was intended to be “Crazy Eyes” from the popular Netflix show “Orange Is The New Black”–and eventually apologized via Twitter.

“I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize,” she wrote.

Surprisingly, there was a spate of costumes this Halloween that involved blackface, which went viral as soon as photos were posted online. The backlash against the wearers has included everything from death threats to job loss.

  • Heidi Klum Had A Pretty Awesome Halloween Costume

Heidi Klum is well-known for her outrageous Halloween parties, and for the amount of time and care she puts into her costume every year. The supermodel has gone as Cleopatra, a skinless corpse, and various animals over the years, but this year she decided to go a bit more low-key. That doesn’t mean it was any less awesome.

The “Project Runway” host might have taken a page out of the “Bad Grampa” book when she concocted this year’s costume:

    (image)
    Image: Twitter

Klum tweeted sneak peeks of the costume as she was sitting in the makeup chair, so it wasn’t difficult to figure out that she was going for a much different look than usual. She says she prepares for months ahead of time every year before her annual bash.

“I start thinking of ideas months before Halloween, and I have an amazing team who makes the impossible possible,” she said. “I don’t really have a system for picking my costume each year, they just kind of come to me. It’s definitely not a last-minute decision. It takes months of preparation…I take Halloween very seriously, so I’m not a fan of a thrown-together costume, but in an absolute pinch, look around at what items you have around your house. You’d be surprised what you can come up with. Or cut two holes in a bed sheet and be a ghost. But seriously, I’d rather stay home than go out in an uninspired costume.”

  • Hugh Hefner Throws Halloween Party, Dresses as Robin Thicke

It seems everyone is enjoying the spirit of Halloween, and Hugh Hefner is no exception. The famed founder of Playboy Enterprises must have felt some kind of way about Miley Cyrus’ memorable performance for the MTV Video Music Awards.

He loved it so much he and his wife, Crystal Harris-Hefner, decided to dress as Miley and Robin Thicke for the Playboy Mansion’s Halloween party last Friday.

The couple both took to Twitter to give fans a ‘play-by-play’ of the highly anticipated Halloween party.

The dynamic duo definitely nailed it with their reenactment of the VMA’s. Hefner dressed in a replica of Robin Thicke’s black and white striped suit, while his wife was a dead ringer for Miley with the blonde hair and cream-colored outfit she wore during the performance. She also tweeted a link to the short video on Vine holding up a picture of Miley at the VMA’s before turning the camera on herself, debuting her appearance.

She also posted a picture of she and her husband right before the party. The caption simply read, “Twerk,” which also pays homage to the MTV performance.

After coming down off the excitement of the night, Hefner’s nephew, Cooper, also took to Twitter to share his run-down of the night’s events.

Once the party was underway, other celebrities also proved that Hefner and his wife weren’t the only ones inspired by the VMAs. Joan Rivers was also quite taken with Miley Cyrus, dressing like her as well. Rivers even posted her look on Instagram after the party.

Pictures are definitely worth thousands of words, and they all say the same thing this Halloween. “No one parties like Hugh Hefner.”

  • Celebrity Halloween Costumes – The Good, The Bad And The Scary

It’s almost Halloween and that means everyone is out shopping for the perfect costume for parties and trick or treating. Celebrities are just as into Halloween as everyone else and living in Hollywood means there are a lot of Halloween parties and events for them to attend. Many celebrities compete to see who can wear the sexiest, scariest or strangest costume of the year. Some go all out and wear elaborate costumes that costs thousands of dollars and others are just as scary without even wearing a costume.

Snooki, her fiancé Jionni Lavalle and their son Lorenzo decided to wear matching Halloween costumes and chose to go with a Wizard Of Oz theme. Snooki dressed as Dorothy, Jionni dresses as the scarecrow and baby Lorenzo looked adorable as the cowardly lion. Snooki’s costume was much tamer than it has been in previous years, but she was still able to look sexy and show off her new slim figure. She also dressed up with her pal JWOW.

Several celebrities attended a Halloween party at the Playboy Mansion over the weekend and of course they were all dressed to the max. Paris Hilton decided to have some fun with her costume and chose to dress as Miley Cyrus, complete with Teddy Bear body suit, hair buns and a giant foam finger.

Some celebrities like to dress scary, like Sean Penn who wore a simple, yet scary mask. John Stamos dressed as a devil, but appeared more sexy than scary. Even Leonardo Dicaprio decided to wear a costume, and opted for a plain black caped number that hid his face. Fergie dressed as Elvira along with Josh Duhamel who went as Riff Raff.

Other celebrities decided to dress sweet and innocent. Martha Steward attended the HUB Halloween event in a pink dress as a good witch. Vanessa Hudgens dressed as an angel, Lauren Conrad transformed into a white fairy and Nikki Hilton became an innocent school nerd.

Not every celeb thought wisely about their costume. Julianne Hough dressed as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren from the hit show, Orange Is The New Black and found herself in some hot water. Because the character on the show is African American, Hough darkened her skin and hair in order to fit the part. While many thought the costume was creative, others saw it as a racist act. Hough later apologized for the costume.

Halloween hasn’t officially arrived and it is likely we will see more celebrity costumes throughout the week.
