    Actress Halle Berry is set to marry Frenchman Olivier Martinez–who proposed earlier this year–despite saying she would never marry again.

    The Oscar-winning actress hasn’t had the best track record with men; her first marriage to Yankees slugger David Justice lasted just four years, after which she became involved with Eric Benet. After two years of marriage, the couple split amid rumors that Benet was seeking counseling for sex addiction. A relationship with Gabriel Aubry led to her first child, 4-year old Nahla, and Berry says that Martinez is a perfect father figure, which probably played a big role in her decision.

    Berry acknowledges that she announced she wouldn’t be getting married ever again, saying, “Never say never, people!”

  • Halle Berry Engagement Confirmed By Olivier Martinez

    While in Miami, for the opening of his new restaurant, French actor Olivier Martinez fully confirmed his engagement to Oscar-winning film star Halle Berry. Rumors had been flying around for sometime, seeing how she’d been spotted wearing a ring sine January.

    Talking with the Miami Herald about his engagement, Martinez stated: “Yes, of course it’s true”. Martinez also used that interview to debunk another rumor that had been floating around: “There is a jeweler taking credit for doing the ring and it’s a lie! They have nothing to do with this,” he said.

    It should be noted that Martinez isn’t speaking negatively toward that jeweler, just to the fact that they’re trying to falsely capitalize off the couples engagement. The emerald and yellow gold ring was actually designed by Parisian designer Robert Mazio.

    Martinez said that Mazio is “a real artist,” whose family is known for designing for “kings and queens for many centuries.”

    This will be the third marriage for the actress. She was first married to baseball player David Justice from 1992 – 1997, and Eric Benét from 2001 – 2005.
