  • Ariana Grande Supports PETA And Defends Ponytail

Ariana Grande is just one of several celebrities who live a vegan lifestyle and support PETA and their stance on animal abuse. Ariana recently showed her support for the group by wearing a tank top with the phrase “Never Be Silent.” Ariana went Vegan is November and eats no animal products.

Vegans do not eat eggs, oils that are made from animal fat or dairy products. They are similar to vegetarians but a little more strict in terms of what can and cannot be eaten. Most vegans and animal activists are also against wearing anything made from animals such as leather or wool.

Ariana takes her activism seriously and often tries to make the public aware of animal cruelty or abuse. After watching the documentary Black Fish, about killer whales that are kept in captivity and how they are mistreated by Sea World, Ariana tweeted a message to all of her friend and fans, asking that they also watch it and consider the message.

While Ariana’s love for animals isn’t necessarily new, her look is. Ariana ditched her signature magenta dye job for a more mature and natural color. Although it appeared that Ariana liked her neon hair, she recently revealed that it damaged her natural hair and as a result, she has to wear extensions.

She defended her decision to wear extensions on Instagram saying, “I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat . . . as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair,” she wrote. “I now wear a wig on Sam & Cat. My real hair is back to brown and I wear extensions, but I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down.”

What do you think of Ariana’s new look and her decision to go vegan?

  • Ariana Grande Shares The Truth About Her Hair Extensions

Ariana Grande is fed up with the flak she’s been getting for the hair extensions used for her signature hairdo – so she’s setting the record straight.

The 20-year-old singer took to her social media accounts to offer an explanation for her long hair extensions. She initially posted the lengthy paragraph on Facebook.

However, she must have felt the need to push further with her regards, as she posted a screenshot of the long message on Instagram as well.

The former Nickelodeon star revealed that her real hair is “completely destroyed” as a result of years on the small screen.

“I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first four years of playing Cat,” she explained, referring to her former Nick sitcom Victorious and her current show Sam & Cat.

“I wear extensions but I wear it in a ponytail because my actually hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down.”

Grande, 20, also shared a few of the alternatives she has tried in an effort to conceal her damaged tresses, but to no avail.  “I tried wigs, they looked RIDICULOUS,” she says, adding: “tried a weave…and literally wanted to rip my scalp off.”

“So as annoying as it is for y’all to have to look at the same hairstyle all the time, it’s all that works for now (and I’m comfortable for the first time in years),” the 20-year-old writes. “And trust me, it’s even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined. So PLEASE gimme a break about the hair (or just don’t look at me lol). IT’S JUST HAIR AFTER ALL.”

However, the slight negativity hasn’t had any bearing on the “Right There” singer. She recently tweeted that she’s already moving forward with the production of her second album. On Jan. 12, Grande tweeted telling fans she was getting “back in the studio this week.”

While no further details have been announced about the singer’s upcoming projects, it appears fans can definitely expect to hear new music from the singer sometime this year.
