  • Sam Smith: ‘Stay With Me’ Singer Boasts Significant Weight Loss

Sam Smith, the Grammy Award-winning singer known for hit songs like like ‘Stay With Me,’ is showing off a far more svelte physique these days, thanks to losing some significant weight. Spotted on the red carpet for the NRJ Music Tour in Lille, France on Tuesday, March 31st, it’s plain to see he has taken off many pounds.

Last month Sam Smith explained how he had lost 14 pounds in just two weeks when he started on his new diet.

“Three weeks ago I met a woman who has completely changed my life. Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone in 2 weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food. Everyone go check out her incredible book, and start to live healthy. It’s not even about weight loss it’s about feeling happy in yourself. Love you Amelia & thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out @ameliafreer #eatnourishglow,” Smith captioned an Instagram photo.

Amelia Freer recently spoke to Good Morning America about her work with Sam Smith. She explained that she worked with the singer on cutting on sugar and processed foods.

“For me the key is about it being real,” she said. “Getting back in the kitchen, cooking from scratch, making sure they are not relying on junk processed convenience food.”

It’s plain by taking even a glimpse at Sam Smith to see he has lost significant weight.

Now that word is out about how Sam Smith lost his weight, Amelia Freer will no doubt become even more popular.

  • Michelle Williams Talks Christian Faith, Dating

Michelle Williams dished recently on her strong Christian faith and how it impacts her dating life. The former Destiny’s Child singer and star of Fix My Choir on the Oxygen network says a lack of faith could prove be a deal breaker when considering whether or not to date someone.

“I want them to believe, I want them to believe in God. I believe in Jesus,” Williams said during a recent interview. “Do you believe John 3:16? We believe in that, cool. Then we can talk.”

She also shared something she learned about dating.

“Certain spiritual moments have been my teachers. One of my greatest lessons was to pay attention,” Michelle Williams said. “I remember I was dating someone and on our first date, I knew that wasn’t my husband. But I kept it going.”

“I learned from that experience to pay attention to that thing that says ‘No,’” she added. “Your greatest teacher is your spirit, your instincts.”

Michelle Williams told the Christian Post earlier in 2014 about how important it is to let go of those who hinder your faith.

“I was in some business relationships, I was in some personal relationships that weren’t best. Sometimes it’s as simple as who you surround yourself with,” she said. “I started to surround myself with the right people. I got back in alignment with my prayers and my studies.”

She even shared that sentiment in a recent Twitter post.

As with many who profess their Christian faith openly, Michelle Williams has received some backlash. How does she deal with that?

“The backlash is there, but I just ignore it. I used to let it affect me, because it was like that little girl complex,” she said recently. “I’m still human; I still have those feelings sometimes. But I have to just continue to do what I do.”

Michelle Williams’s latest solo effort, ‘Journey to Freedom,’ has earned her nominations for both a Grammy Award and an NAACP Image Award. It’s clear that surrounding herself with the right people–and letting go of some who hindered her faith has definitely paid off for her–in more ways than one. Do you suppose one of the new ‘right people’ in her life will turn out to be someone she wants to date?

  • Salma Hayek’s Brother Survives Car Crash, Famous Photographer Dies

Mexican Actress Salma Hayek’s brother was hospitalized Sunday evening following a vehicle accident in the Bel Air community of Los Angeles, California.

The collision sadly took the life of one person.

Sami Hayek, 40, was traveling eastbound on Sunset Boulevard when he lost control of his 2006 Ford GT and struck a 2011 Toyota Truck driving in westbound traffic. The driver of the truck was identified as 20-year-old Alvin Gomez.

Hayek and Gomez were immediately rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for treatment. Hayek suffered several broken ribs and a head wound. Gomez is being treated for a broken foot.

Hayek’s passenger, Ian Cuttler Sala, was pronounced dead at the scene, succumbing to blunt force trauma to the body. The 43-year-old Mexican-native is “a photographer and art director who won a Grammy for his design of the Johnny Cash: The Legend music box set.” He has also been the mastermind behind other renowned music artworks like Louis Armstrong: The Complete Hot Five and Hot Seven Recordings.

One female celebrity in particular announced her deepest condolences through a Facebook post.

    Beyoncé posted this message Tuesday:

Rest in Peace Ian Cuttler. Ian was a Grammy Award winning art director and photographer who will be greatly missed.  His memorable work includes album covers for “Destiny Fulfilled” and “Dangerously in Love.”

The local coroner office is expected to conduct a complete autopsy of the photographer’s body. All finds will be relayed to the District Attorney’s office for review.

Hayek, who is also a furniture designer in Los Angeles, was not arrested for the accident. However, police say that he may face consequences for a traffic violation, which is driving on the wrong side of the road.

Investigators are currently looking more into what happened, but speed is presumed to be in connection with the fatal accident.
