Ginger Zee Shares New Pic of Baby Adrian, Prepares to Impress on “Dancing With the Stars”

Ginger Zee returned from her maternity leave on Monday to her job as Good Morning America’s chief meteorologist. That’s not all the busy mom is up to these days either. She has been shuttling back and forth between New York and L.A., preparing to compete on Dancing With the Stars.

Earlier this week, Ginger Zee shared a sweet photo of new baby Adrian. It must be hard to be separated from the little bundle of joy while she rehearses.

Fortunately for Ginger Zee, hubby Ben Aaron is the perfect “Mr. Mom.” He often travels with his wife and tends to the baby while Val Chmerkovskiy tends to Ginger Zee’s ballroom skills.

“I knew I was going to hit the ground running,” Ginger Zee says in a recent interview with People magazine, about her crazy schedule plus new motherhood. “I think the schedule’s going to be pretty grueling, but not in the way that I can’t handle it.”

Will you be cheering on Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy when season 22 of Dancing With the Stars premieres on Monday, March 21?

A mirror ball trophy would make Ginger’s current crazy lifestyle so worth it.

Ginger Zee Returns to “GMA,” Prepares for “Dancing With the Stars”

Ginger Zee is one very busy new mom. She returned to her job as Good Morning America’s chief meteorologist on Monday, following her maternity leave–and she is preparing for the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. That’s a lot for a new mom to handle.

Fortunately for Ginger Zee, husband Ben Aaron is ready and willing to take over her duties whenever she’s unavailable. He changes Adrian Benjamin’s (born in December) diapers and puts in extra time when his wife flies back and forth from her job in New York to DWTS in L.A.

“I knew I was going to hit the ground running,” Ginger Zee says in a recent interview with People magazine. “I think the schedule’s going to be pretty grueling, but not in the way that I can’t handle it.

Fans will no doubt love watching Ginger Zee compete on season 22 of Dancing With the Stars. Paired with pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, she will learn how to perform on the ballroom floor from one of the best.

Starting next week fans can see Ginger Zee on both GMA and Dancing With the Stars. Season 22 begins on March 21.

  • “Fuller House” Cast Supports Jodie Sweetin’s “Dancing With the Stars” Gig

The Fuller House cast is behind Jodie Sweetin as she prepares to compete on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Sweetin recently reprised her role as Stephanie Tanner on the Full House reboot.

“I think so many people know me as Stephanie and as that character, which is amazing and there’s been incredible support for it,” Sweetin said in an interview with People magazine on Tuesday. “But now I get to show people who I am and also, I kind of get to find out stuff about myself.”

Jodie Sweetin isn’t the first of her Fuller House cast mates to compete on Dancing With the Stars. Candace Cameron Bure, who plays DJ Tanner, competed on season 18 of Dancing With the Stars, alongside Mark Ballas. She can’t wait to see her Fuller House co-star compete.

“I am so ready; I am more than ready,” she told E! News when Sweetin confirmed she was competing. “I am just there. I will try not to take over for her because I might nudge myself back onto that dance floor.”

Jodie Sweetin has met her dance partner, Keo Motsepe, and thinks they are a good match. The Fuller House star will compete against Good Morning America’s Ginger Zee, The O.C.’s Mischa Barton, Denver Broncos linebacker (and recent Super Bowl MVP) Von Miller, TV news personality Geraldo Rivera, The Facts of Life and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Fields, UFC Fighter Paige VanZant, Boyz II Men’s Wanya Morris, former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie, America’s Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and actress (and ex-wife of current GOP hopeful Donald Trump) Marla Maples.

It will be fun to watch Jodie Sweetin compete on season 22 of Dancing With the Stars. It will be fun to see if her Fuller House cast mates show up in the audience from time to time, too.

The new season of DWTS premieres on March 21.

  • Ginger Zee Continues Maternity Leave, “GMA” Alum Sam Champion To Help Out

Ginger Zee is continuing her maternity leave this week with her new baby boy, Adrian, who was born on December 20th.

However, Ginger Zee‘s position on GMA will not be neglected.

GMA veteran Sam Champion, who last signed off in 2013, is taking her place this week.

Ginger Zee left Champion with some advice and some to-do’s for when he takes over.

When Ginger Zee called in on Monday’s show, she said of Champion, “He has to take full credit for the dip in the jet stream, all the cold air coming in right now.”

She added, “Second, I have a tally of Lara’s puns [in ‘Pop News’], so if you can just keep that going. And finally, just take care of the audience because I am going to miss them probably just as much as anyone else.”

Sam Champion seemed happy to “take care of the audience” while Ginger Zee stays home with her baby.

He said, “[The audience] is the most fun part of the entire show, to get outside and spend some time with the people who come to see us.”

He then said, “I think I have to buy a winter coat.”

Ginger Zee is glad for the break provided by Sam Champion and others like ABC News Senior Meteorologist Rob Marciano, who will also fill in for her.

In a hilarious New Year tweet, Ginger Zee showed a funny and very truthful glimpse into the life of a new parent.

What do you think of Ginger Zee’s temporary replacement, Sam Champion?

  • Ginger Zee Out On Maternity Leave, Sam Champion Fills In For GMA Weather Forecast

Weatherman Sam Champion will return to Good Morning America to deliver weather news while current GMA meteorologist Ginger Zee is on leave.

Zee, 34, has been absent from the show ever since she gave birth to her first son, Adrian Benjamin on December 19 in New York City. ABC announced on Monday that Champion will take over her weather forecasting responsibilities starting January 11.

Champion worked as an anchor on GMA for seven years before leaving 2013 after which Zee took over the weather department of the show. He then anchored a morning show AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters on The Weather Channel.

However, the 54-year-old meteorologist had reportedly been cut from the program after the network made some changes on the content of the morning show. According to the Weather Channel, Champion will still be working on its programming, “taking the lead in expanding increased weather coverage into our primetime schedule.”

Nevertheless, the former Good Morning America meteorologist is very much welcome to the show. He will be delivering weather updates for one week until Ginger Zee comes back.

After learning that Champion would be relieving her for the week, Ginger Zee took the time to express her gratitude toward Rob Marciano and Champion.

She also shared a To-Do list for the weatherman including taking care of the audience.

Zee also let the GMA camera crew take a peek at her little bundle of joy while she was being interviewed by the show’s host. She said she and her little guy are doing well.

“I think we’re both feeling good, and he’s eating and he’s burping and throwing up, and doing all the things he’s supposed to do,” Ginger Zee said of her baby.

  • Ginger Zee of “Good Morning America” and Hubby Ben Aaron Welcome Baby Boy

Ginger Zee of Good Morning America fame and her husband Ben Aaron welcomed a baby boy on Sunday.

The chief meteorologist announced the exciting news via Twitter, sharing a beautiful photo of the happy family.

It was only two days before Adrian’s birth that Ginger Zee went out on maternity leave.

“I feel like I’m lucky because I’ve had a really good pregnancy, everyone has been so supportive,” she said during her last appearance on Good Morning America. “Thanks to you guys … and now I’m going to get a little emotional. Oh my God.”

Ginger Zee even admitted to being a little nervous about her impending labor and delivery–as well as about motherhood itself.

“I’m staying up at night every once in a while…that’s been the hardest part,” she said. “I feel him move and I’m like, ‘There’s a real human in here. This is happening.’”

Ben Aaron and Ginger Zee got married in a ceremony overlooking Lake Michigan in July of 2014. This is their first child.

Congratulations are no doubt en route to Ginger Zee and Ben Aaron from all of her cast mates at Good Morning America–and from her fans, too.

  • Ginger Zee: “GMA” Meteorologist Uses Baby Bump to Full Advantage for Halloween

Ginger Zee, Good Morning America’s meteorologist is using her baby bump for all it’s worth. After all, she has to wait until December for her bundle of joy to arrive.

On Friday, Ginger Zee turned that bump into a few Halloween costume options–and her fans completely enjoyed her sense of creativity.

For her first option, Ginger Zee dressed her baby bump up like Mr. Potato Head.

Next, Zee dressed up as the Pillsbury Doughboy.

One of the more unusual ideas Ginger Zee came up with was to use her belly as an avocado pit. Just because it’s unusual, however, doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve high marks for being clever.

Then, of course, there was the sporty side to Ginger Zee. She dressed her baby bump up as a basketball.

Have you ever seen a baby bump dressed up in so many creative ways? Ginger Zee definitely outdid herself this Halloween.

Just imagine when this baby is old enough to check out all these fantastic Halloween options. He–Ginger Zee and hubby Ben Aaron are having a boy–will enjoy lots of laughs during a future Halloween, a few years down the road.

  • Ginger Zee, Meteorologist for ‘Good Morning America,’ Forecasts The Arrival of Her First Child For December

Ginger Zee, meteorologist for Good Morning America, is pregnant.

The popular weather gal announced the big news on air Monday that she and her husband, NBC correspondent Ben Aaron, are expecting their first child around Christmas this year.

“This is the most nervous I’ve been in a while,” Ginger Zee said after telling her viewers the big news. “The forecast for delivery is in December.”

Zee, 34, and Aaron were married last June in a Michigan beachside wedding near her hometown.

The mom-to-be seemed pretty anxious and excited during Monday’s broadcast, which is so out of character for Ginger Zee, who seems fearless most of the time.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Zee has hiked in Nepal, chased tornadoes, para-glided over the Andes and flew a drone into a volcano in Iceland, but she said motherhood is her “most extreme adventure” yet.

“In all the other adventures, a promise you will return home. This is like, when you get home, the adventure is there and that’s the big difference and why it is so emotional for me. I’ll do anything but this scares me,” Ginger Zee admitted.

Later on in the day, Ginger tweeted a photo of her sonogram, with the caption, “We can’t wait! Baby Zee/Aaron is forecast to join us in December. @ben_aaron.”

Congratulations to Ginger Zee and Ben Andrews on the biggest adventure of their lives!

  • Ginger Zee Dispels Social Media Fashion Criticism With Kindness and Class

Ginger Zee, the weather anchor for Good Morning America, decided to take the high road Wednesday by responding with kindness to a woman who posted a message on her Facebook page blasting her fashion choices.

Zee shared a screenshot of the woman’s post, in which the “hater” bashed the meteorologist’s sense of style, saying she looks “ridiculous,” should “take a hint from Robin (Givens) … she always dresses with CLASS” and doesn’t dress appropriately for her position on television. The woman then went on to suggest Zee hire a fashion manager, ask the network for a clothing allowance and get some “Help.”

Zee took it all in, and instead of taking offense or returning the negative comments with some equally negative comeback of her own, the 33-year-old meteorologist thanked the woman for sharing her thoughts and said, “No clothing allowance.”

She went on to say everyone should take the opportunity to stop bashing each other and turn to kindness instead.

“I agree haters gonna hate but this is a good way to inspire us all to say something kind to someone else- you never know what they are going through,” Zee wrote on her Facebook page. “Let’s all be kind to each other and have a happy Wednesday!”

Her comeback seems to have struck a chord with her Facebook followers and even some who went to her page after hearing about the exchange, earning her thousands of likes on a followup post, hundreds of shares and countless posts on her wall commending her for her “classy” response to the criticism.

  • Ginger Zee of ABC’s ‘GMA’ Marries NBC’s Ben Aaron

Ginger Zee, meteorologist on ABC’s Good Morning America, married NBC correspondent Ben Aaron this weekend in what is being called a “charming” wedding ceremony in Michigan–near the bride’s hometown. The two exchanged beachside nuptials and recited traditional vows in front of an intimate gathering of 55 people.

Zee worked with her best friend and renown wedding planner Francesco Bilotto to plan her big day.

“I am so proud to be from Michigan and I have countless memories of growing up along this gorgeous lake. I wanted to have one of the most important moments of my life here and make another one of those memories,” Zee said.

Zee shared a photo of herself with her mom as she prepared to dress for her wedding.

Wedding guests were offered pashminas so they didn’t get too chilly as they watched Ginger Zee and Ben Aaron say “I do.” They then headed inside at The Inn at Bay Harbor where they enjoyed dinner family style–served at one long dining table. The menu featured some local and some rather eclectic offerings including artisan cheese plates and a Michigan salad with local cherries. The main course choices included veggie quinoa, parmesan-crusted chicken, grilled salmon, and filet mignon.

Ginger Zee was gorgeous in a Pnina Tornai dress. She and her new husband danced at their reception to music provided by The Outer Vibe–her brother’s band.

“Think Hamptons on the lake,” Francesca Bilotto said of the party décor. “Lots of navy blue and off-white, very formal coastal is the look.”

Cake was served outside on the deck at the inn. It was displayed atop a wine barrel and was described as “light and fluffy.”

A short time prior to the nuptials Ginger Zee had the following to say about her upcoming wedding day.

“Bringing our crazy families from all over the States to enjoy some peace and quiet in northern Michigan will be the greatest day of our lives,” she said.

It sounds like Ginger Zee and Ben Aaron’s dreams of a perfect wedding day have now come true.

  • Ginger Zee Is Taking Over The Weather On GMA

Long-time Good Morning America weather anchor, Sam Champion, resigned from ABC on Wednesday to take a managing editor job at The Weather Channel. It was a sad goodbye since Champion is one of the main reasons that GMA has been the top-rated morning show for so many years.

Champion and his co-anchors, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer said a tearful goodbye as Champion made his final weather broadcast on Wednesday. “I promise there’s happy on the inside but the tears,” Elliott said. “I’m going to miss you and you are the best live broadcaster I’ve ever worked with. Thank you for giving the gift to us and to everybody at home every day.”

Although Champion will miss his GMA family, he says that taking the new job is just something that he has to do. “I think it’s something that people will go through in their life when you want to stay, doing something you want to, and there’s an opportunity that says you gotta take it,” Champion said. “I’m not going to leave you guys. I’m not going to leave you.”

Champion ended his final GMA weather report with the phrase that he has said more than 7,000 times before. “That’s the weather around the nation, ladies and gentleman,” he said.

Ginger Zee, 32, has been hired as his replacement and hopes that she can fill Champion’s shoes. Zee already has experience with the morning show since she has been Champion’s fill-in for the past two years, and has also been the weather anchor for the weekends. Zee talked about her excitement for her new position with reporters, saying that she never thought she would land this type of position at such a young age.

“You know, some people will work their entire lives and at some point say maybe ‘that’s not the goal for me.’ I have just been so fortunate this whole way, and not to say that I haven’t worked hard,” she said. “There were so many times where I was in Flint, Michigan and I was seriously eating a bean burrito, just one every day because it was 79 cents and that’s all I could afford.”
