  • Giada De Laurentiis Divorced, Are She and Bobby Flay Dating?

Giada De Laurentiis is finally divorced from fashion designer Todd Thompson, and it’s no secret the divorce came at a cost. Some sources are hinting that the Food Network star was all too happy to pay big bucks to end her marriage so she could resume her relationship with Bobby Flay.

Bobby Flay has reportedly been in hot water more than once for infidelity during his marriage to Law & Order star Stephanie March. Was Giada De Laurentiis among those he was unfaithful with while still married to the actress?

Giada De Laurentiis and Todd Thompson will share custody of their seven-year-old daughter Jade. She will pay him $9,000 in child support payments, however.

Todd Thompson and Giada De Laurentiis didn’t have a prenuptial agreement. This means Thompson has walked away with the former couple’s $3.2 million house in Pacific Palisades, California. He will also receive 50 percent of the unpaid advances to several cookbooks that Giada has in the works.

Giada announced her split from Thompson back in December–around the time she and Bobby Flay were spotted dining out together.

“Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths. Todd and I share a beautiful daughter and a lifetime of great memories that we both treasure more than anything,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Both Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay have denied being romantically involved with one another, saying instead that they have been longtime close friends.

Do you think the finalization of Giada’s divorce indicates the beginning of something new between her and Bobby Flay?

  • Giada De Laurentiis: Divorce Final, Costs Her Big Bucks

Giada De Laurentiis is finally divorced, but ending her marriage cost the TV chef big bucks.

According to a report from People magazine, the divorce documents state that Giada De Laurentiis and her ex-husband, fashion designer Todd Thompson, will share custody of their daughter, seven-year-old Jade Marie. De Laurentiis no doubt makes way more money than her ex, however, as she must pay him $9,000 per month in child support.

Giada De Laurentiis and Todd Thompson had no prenup, and that isn’t serving the beloved chef well. Todd Thompson will keep the couple’s $3.2 million house in Pacific Palisades, California, and Giada must give him 50 percent of all net book royalties for books she published during their marriage–as well as 50 percent of the unpaid advances to several cookbooks that she has in the works. That alone amounts to more than $5 million. Neither parties were ordered to pay spousal support.

The Food Network star first announced her split from Todd Thompson back in December.

    (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

After an amicable separation since July, Todd and I have decided to end our marriage. Although our decision to separate…

Rumors ran rampant for a while about Giada De Laurentiis and fellow chef Bobby Flay having an affair. Both parties denied the rumors.

Giada De Laurentiis will surely recoup any money she has to pay her ex-husband. She is a coveted TV chef who makes the rounds of many of the daytime talk shows and news programs. In the meantime, however, the payout could impact the way she lives.

Do you think Giada De Laurentiis is seriously doubting the decision of not having a prenup when she married Todd Thompson?

Ashley Madison Hack: Extortion Next Worry For Dump Victims?

Ashley Madison account holders are still reeling from last week’s dump of user information by hacking group The Impact Team.

No doubt marriages have crumbled, relationships have dissolved and even jobs could have been lost over the Ashley Madison debacle.

However, in these trying times, the ones still holding their breath to see if their loved one finds out about their Ashley Madison account are the new targets.

If you think that just because your significant other hasn’t checked the list of Ashley Madison accounts for your name means you’re in the clear, you are so very wrong.

A new crop of scumbag has risen in response to the Ashley Madison hack.

According to eCanadaNow, these folks will reportedly contact Ashley Madison account holders and threaten to expose your nefarious deeds to your significant other unless you pay them hush money to the tune of one bitcoin, which is approximately $225.

IT Specialist Rick Romero explains their method, saying, “Spammers are using the email providers VFEMail to target Ashley Madison users.”

Guys, cheating really doesn’t pay. Unless you’re an extortionist.

One man who was recently contacted by an extortionist is refusing to pay and taking a risk that could disrupt his entire life.

Mac, known only by his first name, gave his reason, stating that he is only “loosely concerned” about future extortion attacks. However, he is not that worried about this first round.

He said, “If I put myself in [the extortionist’s] shoes, the likelihood of them disclosing stuff doesn’t increase their chance of getting money. I’m just not going to respond.”

He added, “So they have my home billing address and first and last name, so it would be relatively easy for them to get my home records and figure out who I am. I’ll accept the consequences if this does get disclosed, but obviously I’d rather not have that happen because my wife and I are both very happy in our marriage.”

Ok, but if you were happy…oh, well.

What do you think about these new extortion attempts? If it were you in the hot seat, would you pay up to not have your Ashley Madison info exposed to your significant other?

  • Ashley Madison Hack Boosts Business For Private Investigation Firms, Divorce Lawyers

Ashley Madison is on the minds of many a married cheater today as the suspense surrounding a possible data leak grows.

Cheating website Ashley Madison, the slogan of which is “Life is short. Have an affair.”, was hacked recently by a team of hackers called The
    impact Team.

The Impact Team threatened the parent company of Ashley Madison, Avid Life Media, to release details of the sites 37 million clients. That information would include real names, credit card numbers, sexual preferences, explicit photos, private chat messages and emails.

The hackers took issue with Ashley Madison’s full delete service, which offered a complete scrub of personal information from the site for $19.99. The Impact Team has proven that the information doesn’t, in fact, get deleted. They say they will release the information if the site isn’t taken down.

While the news of the Ashley Madison hack is bad news for many marriages, it’s good news for businesses that profit from private investigations and divorce.

Danny Boice, founder of Trustify, which is a Washington D.C. business that connects people with low-cost private investigators, says he’s “99%” sure that The Impact Team will release the Ashley Madison info soon. When they do, Trustify will post those names for people to search.

That’s when Danny Boice will cash in.

“She might suddenly wonder about all those late nights at the office, those frequent business trips to the same city. The best way to get peace of mind is to hire a PI to see what else might be out there.”

Another business that could soon benefit from the Ashley Madison hack is that of the divorce lawyer.

Nancy Chemtob, a partner at the matrimonial and family law firm Chemtob Moss & Forman, said of the Ashley Madison hack, “I saw the story last night and my partner came in this morning and said, ‘Forget about same-sex marriages doubling the practice. This is going to be a balloon.’”

What do you think of the business boom from the Ashley Madison attack?

  • Ashley Madison Hack: Divorce Lawyers Getting Ready For Business To Boom

Ashley Madison clients are still waiting (with bated breath, no doubt) to see if their association with the website will be revealed by hacker group The Impact Team.

The hack on Ashley Madison garnered some really sensitive personal information including names, addresses, credit card info, as well as sexual preferences, nude photos, and private chat conversations.

Ashley Madison is, of course, a hook-up website for married people. The slogan for the site is “Life is short. Have an affair.”

That is advice that many an Ashley Madison client are likely wishing they hadn’t taken.

However, as nervous clients wait to see if their indiscretions will be revealed, it seems one group is prepping for an influx in business: divorce lawyers.

According to CNN, divorce lawyers could really benefit from this whole scandal.

Nancy Chemtob, a partner at the matrimonial and family law firm Chemtob Moss & Forman, said, “I saw the story last night and my partner came in this morning and said, ‘Forget about same-sex marriages doubling the practice. This is going to be a balloon.’”

Chemtob has been seeing at least two clients a month as a result of Ashley Madison. She said that about two thirds of her Ashley Madison-related clients were the ones who signed up for the site and realized they must be missing something in their marriage if they were willing to do so.

The other third of her Ashley Madison clients were the ones caught cheating on the website.

Nancy Chemtob explained just how such a thing could happen in a seemingly normal marriage. She said, “Sometimes spouses are so demoralized by their spouse that they’ll end up posting just to see if they get any responses.”

She added, “A lot of my clients fall in love with [people on the site] or fall in love with the idea of someone telling them they’re tall and handsome when really they’re short and fat. You meet someone who becomes your fantasy.”

Oh, goodness. If The Impact Team decides to release all of the information they gathered during the Ashley Madison hack, there will be a lot of hell to pay around the country for sure.

What do you think of the prospect of a boom in business for divorce lawyers thanks to Ashley Madison? Are you worried about the name(s) you might see on the list?
