  • Paula Patton Thriving, Robin Thicke Stops Lying

Paula Patton is clearly thriving since filing for divorce from Robin Thicke. The ‘Blurred Lines’ singer is no doubt licking his wounds since realizing his marriage really is over, but admits he was a liar and has now stopped such counterproductive behavior.

“I changed, and I got a little too selfish, a little too greedy and little too full of myself,” he said, adding, “I’m a man. I messed up and I had to lie for a while, and then I stopped lying…That was actually good for me because I was tired of lying.”

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton were high school sweethearts who married in 2005. After they split, Robin tried desperately to woo her back–even writing love songs for and about her in his latest album, Paula. The album even included one song called ‘Get Her Back,’ The album–like the marriage–was a flop.

These days, however, Paula Patton is anything but failing. She has been spotted recently in New York City dressed in what some are calling ‘rock star style.’ Presently shooting a fashion campaign for Ellen Tracy, she is the celebrity ambassador for the brand.

It was back on October 3rd that Paula Patton filed for divorce from Robin Thicke. She is asking for joint custody of their four-year-old son.

“Everything is good between Paula and Robin,” a source told E! News. “It really is amicable and they’re getting along.”

Even though some sources say Paula has a new man in her life, E! reports that she is single, and that her number one priority is her and Robin Thicke’s child.

While it’s sad to know that Paula and Robin’s marriage didn’t survive, it’s plain to see that Paula Patton is doing well. Hopefully Robin Thicke will continue to pick up the pieces of his life, too, and they will work together for their little boy’s benefit.

  • Robin Thicke’s ‘Paula’ Album Is A Big Flop, Concert Ticket Prices Lowered

Robin Thicke shook the world with his hit “Blurred Lines”, but has been less successful these days.  His latest album Paula has landed on the LA Times’ list of Top 10 album flops of 2014. Robin Thicke is now fighting off the perception that the album he created to win back the affection of his ex-wife Paula Patton has sent his career on a downward spiral.

The LA Times article described Thicke’s Paula as a “creepy, hastily crafted mea culpa” that didn’t redeem the album of its purpose as a message from Thicke to Patton. It goes on to mention Thicke’s odd antics following his divorce such as begging for Patton to take him back during every performance and helping 1-800-Flowers sell branded bouquets.

Meanwhile, tickets to Thicke’s August 17 show at the Illinois State Fair have gone on sale at lower prices, which may signal a lack of confidence in the star’s ability to sell. He has also canceled his show at the Indiana State Fair on August 1. With lowered ticket sales and the fact that Paula only debuted with 25,000 copies sold, fans are wondering whether Thicke’s songs directed at Patton such as “Get Her Back” have damaged his career.

    Robin Thicke: ‘Get Her Back’

MTV News reports that Patton isn’t impressed with Thicke’s album either. The couple has put their 3,158 square foot property on the market for US$3 million, which signals that things may still have not worked out between them.

Thicke claims that cheating is not the reason behind his divorce. “We’re apart because we just couldn’t be together anymore for a while. There’s a hundred different reasons, there isn’t just one. There’s a long list…I changed, and I got a little too selfish, a little too greedy and little too full of myself,” he said.

  • Robin Thicke Hits New Low With Flower Promotion

It’s possible that Robin Thicke hasn’t hit rock bottom yet with his desperate public attempts to win back wife Paula Patton, but he’s close. Really close. Following poor sales for his new album Paula, Thicke has now partnered up with 1-800-FLOWERS and is offering up a free album download with a qualifying purchase.

Anyone who has glanced at the occasional entertainment news headline knows that things haven’t been going well for Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke. Thicke has had nothing but trouble over the past year, and it all started with his cringeworthy performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMAs. Patton filed for separation back in February after rumors of adultery circulated, and Thicke’s career has been on a downward spiral.

There has been a lot of speculation over whether Thicke’s public attempts to win back his wife are genuine or if he is using the situation to boost album sales, but either way, the latest gimmick is worthy of the double facepalm. 1-800-FLOWERS is offering up a Robin Thicke-inspired flower bouquet called “Get Her Back.” View the details of the promotion here.

The item description for the “Get Her Back” bouquet is listed below:

Looking for a guaranteed way to get her back? Send our lush and luxurious bouquet of 100 romantic premium long-stem red roses! Inspired by Robin Thicke’s hit single, this spectacular rose arrangement is artistically hand-designed by our expert florists to help you express your feelings perfectly.

Typically, buying a woman a $350 bouquet of 100 long-stem roses (or even the cheaper 12-stem “Forever Love” bouquet) would help matters in the love department, but this just doesn’t seem to be quite appropriate. Maybe a Robin Thicke-inspired bouquet of flowers would have been seen as romantic a year ago, but now? Nothing says “I’m sorry” like flowers associated with the guy whose marriage may be falling apart because of a cheating scandal. And let’s not forget the fact that he is using it to make money.

Check out some reactions to Robin Thicke’s flower promo below:

If you think you can make the Robin Thicke flower bouquet work for you, the promotion lasts through the end of September. All you have to do is enter the promo code “THICKE” at checkout after selecting one of the qualifying bouquets to get the free album download. In the meantime, if you aren’t trying to get anyone back and still want to hear Thicke croon, check out his latest single below.

  • Paula Patton: Will Robin Thicke “Get Her Back”?

I can’t say for certain what’s going through Paula Patton’s mind as I’m not psychic.

If her thoughts at present were somewhere between “WTF?!” and wondering if there was a table nearby she could crawl under, then I wouldn’t be surprised.

What could spur such confusion and embarrassment? Patton’s estranged husband, Robin Thicke.

The poor man’s Justin Timberlake put out a video called “Get Her Back”, the first single off his new album called Paula.

Not one for subtlety, it seems clear that Thicke wants his woman back and will do anything to make it happen.

Even film a video of his sad puppy-face bruised and beaten.

There’s a series of text messages in the video which reflect their real life conflict and public breakup. At the end, Thicke writes the somewhat cryptic message, “This is just the beginning.”

Then the screen fades to white.

    Okaaaaay.

So rather than leave Patton alone to make up her own mind about her relationship, Thicke is going to publicly hound and harass her into taking him back.

It shouldn’t be surprising following a rather public display with singer Miley Cyrus that was said to be the straw that broke the camel’s back and Patton’s heart.

The actress had apparently had enough, suggesting that tension had been building quite some time.

Rather than see his own behavior as driving Patton away, Thicke is simply hoping to beg guilt harass romance Patton into forgetting why she dumped him.

Perhaps Thicke could have saved the money spent on putting out this album and just spent it on a good marriage counselor. After all, many marriages have been saved by sitting down in private with a trained professional to hash out exactly what went wrong and the role both parties played in the breakdown.

They can also guide you towards a resolution: Stay together or break up.

Contrary to what some men believe, the way to a woman’s heart when you’ve done wrong isn’t to croon them into submission in the hopes they’ll overlook your hurtful behavior.

The best course of action would be to man up and take responsibility and then step back and allow your partner to make up her mind. That’s probably a simpler, much more sensible way to “get her back”.

  • Robin Thicke: Can He Win Paula Patton Back With New Song?

Robin Thicke has reportedly written a brand new song that will debut at the Billboard Music Awards this coming Sunday May 18th. Called Get Her Back, rumor has it the song is another of his attempts to win back his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton.

Thicke and Patton were childhood sweethearts who were married for almost nine years when news of their break up hit the media this past February. This isn’t the first public plea the Blurred Lines singer, who once appeared on stage with a very risque Miley Cyrus during the premiere of her infamous twerking, has made to Paula Patton. In fact, Thicke has beseeched the actress in public several times since February from various stages around the country in hopes that she will come back to him. To Robin Thicke’s credit he was not twerking at the time of those performances.

The lyrics to Get Her Back feature lines like, “All I wanna do is make it right … I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life … I should’ve kissed you longer / I should’ve held you stronger / And I’ll wait for forever for you.”

“We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” Robin Thicke and Paula Patton said in a joint statement back in February.

It was just about a month later when Thicke talked to E! about his separation from his wife.

“We’re both very happy,” he said. Robin went to to explain why his concerts sometimes seemed like confessionals.

“I wasn’t sharing anything except what I was going through at that very second,” he said. “So for me, as an entertainer and a songwriter, it’s important for the music to be honest.”

Will Sunday night’s heart felt confessional be enough to win Paula Patton back?

Paula Patton had this to say about Robin Thicke in the June 2014 issue of Vanity Fair.

“We’ve known each other since we were teenagers. All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there—always was, and always will be,” she said.

Might a reconciliation be underway? Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have one child together–a son named Julian.
