George Clooney Backs Hillary Clinton, Calls Her “Voice of Tolerance and Experience”

George Clooney has thrown his support behind Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton, doing so in a letter to her supporters on Monday.

The letter serves as an invitation to Clinton supporters to enter a lottery for a chance to visit his home, where a fundraiser for the presidential hopeful will be held. In addition to lauding Hillary Clinton in his letter, George Clooney took some serious jabs at Donald Trump.

“If you listen to the loudest voices out there today, you’d think we’re a country that hates Mexicans, hates Muslims, and thinks that committing war crimes is the best way to make America great again,” Clooney wrote, according to CNN.

“In all of this clutter, there’s been one consistent voice. A voice of tolerance and experience, from a candidate who’s spent a lifetime fighting for the rights of the less fortunate. A candidate who knows firsthand the complexity of our international relationships,” George Clooney said of Hillary Clinton.

He went on to call Clinton, “the only grown-up in the room. And if ever there was a time for a grown-up, that time is now.”

George Clooney is hosting the upcoming Hillary Clinton fundraiser with his wife, Amal Clooney.

Would you like to visit Amal and George Clooney’s home to attend the fundraiser they’re hosting for Hillary Clinton? How many people do you expect will throw their names in the lottery for a chance to do so?

Amal Clooney Gives Passionate Speech On Human Rights In United Arab Emirates

Amal Clooney told the audience of a government communications summit in the United Arab Emirates Sunday that governments around the world have a duty to be vocal, consistent, principled and transparent about human rights.

The 38-year-old human rights avocate and attorney gave her address the opening of the annual event. The ruler of the emirate of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, was also scheduled to speak.

“The first piece of advice I would have from my experience is that governments need to be vocal about human rights,” said Clooney.

According to Fox News, Amal said countries face “an unprecedented human rights crisis” and urged that criticism should be carried out through dialogue, not prison terms, and that protests be met with “crowd control,” rather than bullets.

“My advice to you is not only to be vocal and consistent, but also to be principled in communications about human rights. The fourth suggestion I have is to be quick,” she said. “Governments must be prepared to be transparent and get their message out first.”

Perhaps Clooney was being diplomatic when she avoided talking about human rights abuses in Gulf Arab countries or the exorbitant toll on human life resulting from the Saudi-led military intervention in Yemen, in which the UAE is taking part. She did, however, mention countries like Sudan, Iran and North Korea, which are known for carrying out atrocities in her 12-minute speech.

Amal Clooney, who is married to actor George Clooney, is known for taking on high-profile international cases, including Egyptian-Canadian journalist Mohammed Fahmy, who spent more than a year in prison in Egypt before he and a fellow reporter from Al-Jazeera English received presidential pardons.

  • George Clooney Says Hollywood Has Failed, Oh, And Trump Is A “Xenophobic Fascist”

George Clooney has had a lot to say as of late on the social hot-button issues of our time.

One can always count on George Clooney to tell exactly what is on his mind and his latest comments are no exception.

For instance, about diversity in Hollywood? Don’t get him started.

George Clooney got a glimpse of 1950’s Hollywood while filming his latest movie, Hail, Caesar!.

The film was based on a true Hollywood story and showed quite a glamorous side of Hollywood in its Golden Age. George Clooney thinks things have become harder for white males in Hollywood since then, but have become a little easier (but not easy enough) over the last few decades for minorities and women.

But seriously… don’t miss #GeorgeClooney in the Coen brothers' epic new comedy, #HailCaesar. Tickets: link in bio.

A video posted by Hail, Caesar! (@hailcaesarmovie) on

George Clooney said, “Yes it was easier if you were white and male, but probably not easier if you were a woman or a minority or had polio so there are an awful lot of things that have got much better. It is something that ebbs and flows.”

He continued, “We have periods of time in our history when we’re really good at it. The United States particularly has had great moments of civil rights movements and great moments in cinema as well.”

He added, “And we’ve also had the last couple of years when we’ve really truly failed, not just about nominations but about who is making films and who we’re putting in front of the camera.”

See the Coen brothers comedy critics are raving about. #HailCaesar is now playing in theaters. Tix: link in bio.

George Clooney is not too pleased with the world of politics right now, either. As Donald Trump makes waves as the frontrunner on the Republican side, Clooney is not afraid to call him out.

George Clooney said of Trump, “He’s just an opportunist. Now he’s a fascist; a xenophobic fascist. You can count on Americans to do the right thing after they’ve exhausted all the other possibilities.”

Even Americans fail to do the right thing, George Clooney doesn’t think Trump will be able to execute all of his promises. He said, “The truth of the matter is, in election season, things go crazy, and the loudest voices are the furthest and most extreme.”

He added, “So you hear a massively stupid idea, like we’re going to ban Muslims from the country. Now, we’re not ever going to do that. It says in the Statue of Liberty, bring us your huddled masses. It’s not what’s going to happen.”

What do you think about George Clooney’s social stances?

  • George Clooney Slammed by Gerard Depardieu at Berlin Film Festival

George Clooney was slammed on Friday by actor Gerard Depardieu at the Berlin Film Festival. The French actor, who stars in a new film called Saint Amour, in which he plays a bull farmer, noted during a post-screening press conference for his film that George Clooney recently met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The two met to discuss the refugee crisis.

“I saw that Mr George Clooney wanted to see Mrs Merkel. I worry that it went badly,” Depardieu said at the press conference.

“It’s good that now you can be an actor and a ecologist and a politician, you can do everything,” he added.

In addition to slamming George Clooney, Gerard Depardieu also had nothing good to say about Leonardo DiCaprio’s film The Revenant.

“That’s a bit different from what you get in general in cinema at the moment,” he said, referring to the gritty setting for the film and reports that the actors had to work in very uncomfortable conditions.

“Because if I take the Oscars, The Revenant, with the production crew behind and the heating (on set) and all that ‘go and cover yourself in shit,’ but I’m sure the ‘shit’ is perfumed–and you’re in this mud, which is perfumed and isn’t cold, it’s heated,” Depardieu said.

The one question that likely comes to most people’s minds after learning of Gerard Depardieu’s bashing of both George Clooney and The Revenant is twofold. Who asked him? And who really cares what he thinks?

Gerard Depardieu hasn’t done much that’s noteworthy since appearing in The Green Card and Cyrano de Bergerac–films that hit theaters decades ago.

Most people would laud George Clooney for meeting with Angela Merkel and trying to find a way to alleviate the refugee crisis situation.

Might Depardieu be a bit jealous of the actor?

What’s your take on Gerard Depardieu lashing out at both George Clooney and The Revenant? Who or what might be next on his list of candidates for bashing?

  • Meryl Streeps Faces Backlash After Commenting ‘We’re All Africans Really’

Meryl Streeps Faces Backlash After Commenting ‘We’re All Africans Really’

Meryl Streep dismissed questions about the all-white panel at the Berlin Film Festival Thursday by commenting that “we’re all Africans really,” which has ignited a furor on the internet.

According to CBS News, Streep, who heads up a seven-member jury, said she was committed to equality and inclusion “of all genders, races, ethnicities, religions.”

“This jury is evidence that at least women are included and in fact dominate this jury, and that’s an unusual situation in bodies of people who make decisions,” Streep said. “So I think the Berlinale is ahead of the game.”

In response to a question asking whether she understood films from the Arab world and North Africa, Streep said that while she didn’t know much about the region, “I’ve played a lot of different people from a lot of different cultures.”

“There is a core of humanity that travels right through every culture, and after all we’re all from Africa originally,” she said. “Berliners, we’re all Africans really.”

Social media posts were strewn with expressions of disbelief and anger over Streeps’ comments.

The festival opens Thursday with the jury’s other members, German actor Lars Eidinger, British film critic Nick James, French photographer Brigitte Lacombe, British actor Clive Owen, Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher and Polish director Malgorzata Szumowska, deciding who goes home with the coveted Golden Bear.

The Coen brothers’ comedy “Hail, Caesar!” starring George Clooney, Josh Brolin and a slew of other A-list celebrities kicked off the festival on Thursday.

  • Julianna Margulies Confirms “The Good Wife” to End

Julianna Margulies has confirmed what those who missed yesterday’s Super Bowl hoped was nothing but a rumor. The Good Wife is ending its run with its May 8 episode.

While most Julianna Margulies fans came to know the actress through her role as Nurse Carol Hathaway (who romanced George Clooney’s character) on ER, she has long been the beloved Alicia Florrick on The Good Wife.

Following the Super Bowl ad on Sunday, both the network and Julianna Margulies followed up with statements.

“It’s never easy to say goodbye to one of the crown jewels of your network and studio, much less to a show that is among the best on television. But it also feels very right to end with the seven-year story its creators envisioned, and to celebrate the show’s final run while at the top of its creative game. It has been CBS’s sincere privilege to broadcast and produce ‘The Good Wife’ for seven extraordinary seasons. We thank and applaud the outstanding cast, led by the impeccable Julianna Margulies, and the consummate writing and producing team, headed by the brilliant Robert and Michelle King, who brought to life a smart, sophisticated series that has delivered audiences so many memorable characters and unforgettable moments. It is a series that will only grow in prestige as its episodes are watched again or discovered by new viewers for many years to come,” the CBS statement reads.

The Good Wife executive producers and co-creators Robert and Michelle King issued the following statement.

The Good Wife has been the creative experience of a lifetime. Collaborating with the finest actors, writers, producers, staff and crew on ‘The Education of Alicia Florrick’ has been a dream. We can’t imagine working with a more talented, professional, generous lead than Julianna Margulies or more supportive partners than Leslie Moonves, David Stapf, Glenn Geller and Nina Tassler at CBS and CBS Television Studios. We’re looking forward to using this seventh season to bring Alicia’s story to its natural conclusion. We couldn’t be more excited and grateful.”

Julianna Margulies sounds like she is comfortable with the end of The Good Wife.

“Being a part of The Good Wife has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. As an actress and a producer, it has been an absolute honor to be a part of a series that, throughout seven years, never settled on being just good… but always strived to be extraordinary. I have witnessed magic happen when Robert and Michelle King put pen to paper, and it has been a privilege to be in the company of their brilliance,” her statement reads. “To the most amazing and talented cast and crew, there will always be a special place in my heart for our ‘Good Wife’ family. As we close the book on our beloved show, I am humbled and grateful to know that together, we created and were a part of something truly remarkable.”

Are you a fan of The Good Wife? Will you take in every one of the last nine episodes?

How do you predict Julianna Margulies’ character Alicia Florrick will close the show?

Even more importantly, where might Julianna Margulies flex her acting muscles next?

  • Lupita Nyong’o Disappointed in “Lack of Inclusion” at Oscars

Lupita Nyong’o spoke out via social media, voicing her disappointment in the lack of diversity in the 2016 Academy Award nominations. This is the second year straight without nominees for people of color.

Taking to Instagram, the 12 Years A Slave Oscar winner shared her feelings on the controversial topic.

“Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced.” James Baldwin #manystoriesmanyvoices,” Lupita Nyong’o captioned her post.

A photo posted by Lupita Nyong'o (@lupitanyongo) on

Lupita Nyong’o’s post follows Jada Pinkett Smith’s call to boycott this year’s Oscars and Spike Lee’s criticism of the lack of diversity and inclusion.

Lupita Nyong’o doesn’t mention the boycott or her intentions with regard to it.

What’s your take on the lack of diversity in this year’s Academy Award nominations? Do you believe it is a slight on behalf of the academy or were there simply no people of color in the films they deemed best?

The argument isn’t solely waged by people of color. In addition to Lupita Nyong’o, Spike Lee, and Jada Pinkett Smith, actor George Clooney believes Hollywood as a whole is responsible for not creating enough roles for Blacks and Latinos.

  • Amal Clooney Downplays Personal Risk In Defending Former Imprisoned Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed

Amal Clooney is downplaying her personal risk in defending the imprisoned former Maldives president Mohamed Nasheed.

Making an appearance on Meet the Press Sunday for a special interview with host Chuck Todd, Amal, the wife of actor George Clooney, said she gives very little thought to any personal risk she may be under by defending the man accused of terrorism and sentenced to 13 years in prison.

In recent weeks, there have been several public attacks against Amal by Maldives politicians after she took on Nasheed, with one claiming that she was “making things up” about the country.

Clooney told Todd the same man is now in jail because, she says, the current president “is now increasingly paranoid and going after members of his own party, having dealt with the opposition in its entirety.”

When Todd asked if she felt that being the wife of George Clooney put her in more danger, Clooney said that she wasn’t not afraid of criticism and sees her new found fame a way to draw more attention to her causes.

“I think that the kind of attack that I got from that vice president is an act of desperation, and it’s easy to dispose of,” she said. ” So it’s not something that’s worrying. I think, on the other hand, in representing this client and trying to just procure his release and the release of other political prisoners, if people are made aware of the situation in the Maldives, I think that’s a good thing.”

Clooney said she is hoping to use her public profile to gather international support to help free Nasheed.

The human rights lawyer is also working on the plight of a female journalist in Azerbaijain who has been imprisoned after, according to Clooney, she “exposed evidence of corruption by the ruling regime.”

Sandra Bullock Talks Adopting Daughter and the Film Choices She Makes Since Having Children

Sandra Bullock feels like the adoption of her daughter Laila was simply meant to be. Finalized last month, the actress and adopted son Louis welcomed the three-year-old into their home with open arms. The addition of a little girl to the family meant big changes, however.

“It’s so much louder, because she’s got a voice that carries,” Sandra Bullock said in a recent interview with Access Hollywood. “She’s going to be a singer or a judge. She’s going to be…someone who commands a room with her voice.”

“It’s like she’s always been there,” the 51-year-old actress adds. “It’s like [Louis] has been waiting for her. Nothing has changed and everything has changed, but it’s not different.”

Something that has changed in Sandra Bullock’s life since adopting her children–besides the obvious–is the choices she makes when taking on film roles. She admits being a mom affects those choices–and for good reason, too.

“You want them to be able to see something you’ve done,” she explained.

Sandra Bullock’s most recent big role is that of Dr. Ryan Stone in Gravity, in which she starred alongside her close friend George Clooney. She received an Academy Award nomination, as well as several other prestigious award nominations for her part in the film. In 2014, Bullock was deemed the highest paid woman in Hollywood. Just days ago she won the People’s Choice Award for favorite movie actress.

No wonder it’s so easy these days for Sandra Bullock to pick and choose what she’ll star in on the big screen. How impressive it is, however, that she is putting her children’s needs first. That’s not something many actors would even consider.

It’s abundantly clear that Sandra Bullock was cut out to be a mother–and a good one at that.

  • Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Spark New Dating Rumors, As They Celebrate Halloween Together

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton curbed those dating rumors that started up when The Voice returned to TV this season. Both newly single, rumors had Gwen and Blake falling in love right off the bat. The rumors simmered down after a while, with most believing Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were just great pals–until this weekend, anyway. The Voice coaches reportedly spent all of Friday together–dressed up in their Halloween costumes–and they attended two Halloween parties together on Friday night.

Gwen Stefani donned a skimpy cowgirl dress and hat–and was covered in blood, too. Blake Shelton wore a Mexican Serape poncho over his flannel shirt, topped with a trucker hat over a black wig and beard. No one is really sure what or whom Gwen and Blake were channeling, but it really doesn’t matter as long as they had fun.

    And they definitely had fun.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani first attended George Clooney’s Casamigos Halloween Party, and although they arrived separately, they shared a bit of PDA as the night wore on.

Around 1:30 a.m., Gwen and Blake met up again at Jared Leto’s Halloween party, from which the two left together a short time later. Yes, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton left the party together, laughing, and having a wonderful time.

While some might believe this indicates a budding romance between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, it also can’t be put past Blake to stir things up solely for the benefit of the paparazzi.

Who knows? If Blake and Gwen are dating, and don’t want anyone to know it, they can play coy. They have to work together, so they have the perfect excuse to spend time together.

Do you think Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are carrying on in secret?

  • Sandra Bullock Stunning at “Our Brand is Crisis” Hollywood Premiere, Bryan Randall by Her Side

Sandra Bullock was stunning as usual on Monday at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, at the Our Brand is Crisis premiere. Arriving hand-in-hand with beau Bryan Randall, Sandra Bullock looked happy, too.

Wearing a black and white, silk chiffon J. Mendel dress, Sandra Bullock accessorized her look with strappy Stuart Weitzman sandals and a box clutch.

Bryan Randall was dashing in his black suit and black patent leather shoes, paired with a skinny tie.

Sandra Bullock walked the red carpet at the premiere solo, however, pairing up with Our Brand is Crisis co-star Billy Bob Thornton for photos. Also on hand was Our Brand is Crisis producer George Clooney, and his beautiful wife Amal Clooney.

This is said to be the first official work event Sandra Bullock has brought Bryan Randall to. The pair have been spotted out on dates–getting together with Jennifer Aniston and her husband Justin Theroux on a number of occasions.

Do you suppose this indicates a new development in Sandra Bullock’s relationship with Randall?

Since her divorce from Jesse James, Sandra Bullock has dedicated her life to her adopted son, Louis. It was at Louis’ fifth birthday party that Sandra Bullock met Bryan Randall. He was hired to photograph the birthday fun.

Those who have followed Sandra Bullock throughout the past few years are no doubt thrilled to see her happy and in love once again. She got burned by her ex-husband, so it likely took a lot on her behalf to allow a new man into her–and Louis’s–life.

  • Julianna Margulies Reveals Why She Admires Her ‘The Good Wife’ Character Alicia Florrick

Julianna Margulies, best-known for her roles as nurse Carol Hathaway and love interest to George Clooney‘s character on ER and as Alicia Florrick on The Good Wife, says she can relate and admire her Good Wife character because of her ability to keep her emotions in check.

In an interview with Jane Pauley, the two-time Emmy winner dished on why she loves the character who returns to work as a lawyer after her disgraced philandering political husband goes to prison.

“I admire the way she is silent more than she speaks,” she told Pauley. “And you can see the wheels turning in her head. And I realize it’s so much more powerful to actually think before you speak than to just go off the top of your head, which was so the way I used to react as an actress. I hold my emotions on my sleeve, and she holds them so deep down.”

In its seventh season, The Good Wife has been very good to the actress. Margulies said yes to playing Alicia Florrick a year after giving birth to her son Kieran with husband Keith Lieberthal.

Julianna Margulies, 49, says she has much for which to be grateful.

“There’s a different appreciation you get for things when you’re at a different time in your life. And I obviously waited for the right time, and I got lucky, I got so lucky. I mean, I pretty much say it every night when I go to bed, how lucky I am, and with everything. I love my job.”

The Good Wife, starring Julianna Margulies, airs 9 p.m. Sundays on CBS.

  • Sandra Bullock Stuns at Toronto International Film Festival

Sandra Bullock was positively stunning as she walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday. Her upcoming film, Our Brand is Crisis, premiered at the festival.

Wearing a sexy black dress with mesh cutouts, Sandra Bullock perfected her pout with dark red lipstick. She paired her dress with nude high heels.

“My life has been wonderful,” she said at a press conference on Saturday. “It’s a great day today, hopefully it’s a great day tomorrow. I’m very lucky to be here, very blessed. What I want for the future [is] more of the same but if it doesn’t happen there will be a good reason for it.”

Sandra Bullock’s life has recently taken a turn for the even-more-wonderful. She is now dating a very handsome photographer named Bryan Randall. The two attended Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding, and the four were recently spotted out on a double date.

In Our Brand is Crisis, Sandra Bullock plays a political spin doctor. The film is produced by Bullock’s dear friend and Gravity costar George Clooney. Billy Bob Thornton costars.

“She’s struggling with mental illness, she’s struggling with addiction, she’s trying to take herself off the carousel once and she gets pulled back in because of an addictive need to win,” Bullock said of her character, “Calamity” Jane Bodine.

“That’s in all of us and those of us who don’t have it have been through enough journeys in life and enough hardships to come out on the other end and realize that’s not what life is about,” she added. “I look at things and think, ‘What am I going to leave behind for my son [Louis]? What things do I want to say that I want to parlay to him in what I feel about the world, and how I want the world to be?’”

Sandra Bullock is one talented, sexy lady–and now she has a new man, too. Life is indeed wonderful for her.

Will you be checking out Sandra Bullock in Our Brand is Crisis when it hits theaters in October?

  • David Spade Won’t Put Up With ‘Pissy’ Women

David Spade is known as the smarmy, acerbic boy in Hollywood comedy. As one half of a comedy team with Chris Farley, Spade took the classic fat guy/skinny guy team and ran with it. Then Farley died. Spade has held his own in many ways, but he knows good and well he is not an A-list comedy name.

“I’m not one of the top 10 comics in the world,” Spade said. “By the time I get a script, Will Smith has said no and so have Sandler, Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis . . . By then, the script is in such disarray that I have to fix it. That’s why I started writing movies.”

Even if he plays back-bench to bigger names in casting, David Spade won’t put up with no crap when it comes to relationships.

“I don’t like the brawls, the throwing shit, and the hysterical crying,” Spade once said of his intolerance for high-maintenance women. “People say I’m dating the wrong girls. Or I’m making them crazy. There is a crazy button in almost every chick. It just takes a little digging. With some, it takes almost no digging. Some chicks, you’re always trying to pull them out of a bad mood. Some chicks wake up pissy.”

Some snicker at David Spade being single at the age of 51. Spade says that’s a crock.

“They gave Clooney a break, and they give one to these other good-looking guys, like DiCaprio. Why should he get married? I’m not as good-looking, so they give me shit. Scott Disick is getting rich off Kourtney Kardashian, using her name to get famous and drive a Rolls-Royce and get drunk, but I’m the bad guy? Jesus Christ.”

  • Cindy Crawford and Hubby Join George and Amal Clooney in Ibiza for Work and Play

Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber joined George and Amal Clooney on a trip to Ibiza, where they launched their tequila in Spain.

It wasn’t all work for the gang, however. Some photos have shown up online that ensure all that much playing took place as well.

Cindy Crawford shared an Instagram post that features a photo of her sharing a romantic moment with her beloved. The shot would have been perfectly charming had it not been photo bombed–by George Clooney.

“@casamigos photo bomber #HouseofFriends,” Cindy Crawford captioned the hilarious shot.

Cindy Crawford also treated her fans to a sexy poolside shot as well.

“Poolside in paradise,” she captioned it.

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber have long been friends with George Clooney, and now are close with Amal Clooney, too. The two guys are big on launching their own brands of booze, with this tequila launch in Ibiza just the latest.

Wouldn’t you love to be in on these work and play getaways with Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, and George and Amal Clooney?

Do you think more work or more play is accomplished on these working vacations?

  • Amal Clooney, Taylor Swift Make Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed List

Amal Clooney and Taylor Swift are among the stunning people named to Vanity Fair’s most recent best dressed list. The 2015 edition of Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List came out on Wednesday, and includes–as usual–a few surprises as well as a few tried and true honorees.

Taylor Swift and Amal Clooney are, of course, among that second group. Always impeccably dressed in not just the latest, but the most appropriate of fashions for every occasion at which they’re captured on film. These ladies rate at the top of everyone’s list. Swift sets an exceptional example for young women and girls, and Amal Clooney is revered by women all over the world as being 100 percent on her game in the fashion world.

One big surprise name receiving the honor from Vanity Fair is musician FKA Twigs, who has made headlines in recent months for dating former Twilight hunk and ex-boyfriend of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson. Another surprise on the coveted list–at least for those who love fashion–is Rihanna.

Amal Clooney and handsome hubby George Clooney recently hosted actor Ed Norton and his family at their home in Italy. Any photogs who got wind of this gang touring the Italian countryside likely got some amazing shots that featured not just gorgeous, sexy people–but also some stunning fashion trends. George and Amal Clooney somehow manage to look perfect no matter where they are or what they are doing.

Check out Vanity Fair for the complete list of those chosen for their Best-Dressed list. Besides Amal Clooney and Taylor Swift, see if those you expected to make the list did–and if those you least expected might have made it, too.

  • Amal Clooney: Did She Steal George Clooney’s Thunder at Tokyo Premiere of ‘Tomorrowland?’

Amal Clooney: Did She Steal George Clooney’s Thunder at Tokyo Premiere of ‘Tomorrowland?’

Amal Clooney was simply stunning at George Clooney’s Tomorrowland premiere in Tokyo–so stunning, in fact, that some think she may have stolen a bit of her husband’s thunder.

People magazine reports that the couple arrived in Tokyo on Sunday, dressed very casually–well, casually if you’re George and Amal Clooney.

George wore jeans and a t-shirt that promoted his own Casamigos tequila, while Amal Clooney wore a Missoni dress and wedge sandals. Mr. and Mrs. Clooney signed autographs for many of their fans at the airport.

On Monday, at the Tomorrowland premiere, all eyes were on Amal Clooney on the red carpet–even though it was George Clooney’s film.

Amal wore a yellow silk gown that hugged her in all the right places. Next to George’s classic dark suit, she glowed.

Amal Clooney took time out of her busy schedule–she is guest teaching at Columbia Law School in New York for the summer–to be with George on the red carpet.

“Our only adjustments are figuring out our schedules. Our deal is that we can’t be more than a week apart. So far, that’s worked out pretty well,” George Clooney said during a recent interview.

If you were either George or Amal Clooney, could you imagine being away from your better half for any longer than that?

Amal Alamuddin Still Lets George Clooney Ride His Motorcycle

Amal Alamuddin still makes women angry. She is the woman who finally made an honest man out of George Clooney. But people are noticing quickly that Amal Alamuddin holds her own in the word and is certainly not going to be mistaken for resting on her credentials as “Mrs. George Clooney.”

When Clooney talked with his buddy Jimmy Kimmel recently about his marriage to Amal Alamuddin, he gave a bit of an insider look on the marriage.

After being teased by Kimmel about being married like everyone else now, George Clooney says that his wife never told him that he had to get rid of anything, whether it be clothing items or friends, but he does admit to a dispute common to ordinary men.

“There is that moment when I’ve worn the same T-shirt like for a week that she says, ‘Really?’”

“I fake her out every once in a while,” he said. “I get different colors of the same T-shirt.”

“I am still allowed to ride my motorcycle. So far, so good.”

Clooney joked with Jimmy Kimmel about the tabloid coverage that his marriage to Amal Alamuddin has gotten, laughing about magazine covers that claim his marriage to her is a “sham.” The same magazine later touted that Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were expecting a baby. Clooney has more recently said that he and Amal Alamuddin were not planning to start a family.

Clooney recently told Charlie Rose on CBS This Morning that his marriage proposal to Amal Alamuddin came as a total shock to her.

“When I asked her … we had never talked about it … there wasn’t, like, ‘Hey, maybe we should get married,’” he said. “I literally dropped it on her.”

It is unclear what Clooney dropped on Amal Alamuddin, perhaps the ring itself?

  • Anna Wintour: Why She Doesn’t Attend Met Gala After Parties

Anna Wintour visited Late Night With Seth Meyers earlier this week, and chatted with host Seth Meyers about the Met Gala. The Vogue editor-in-chief dished about different celebrities and what they wore to the big event, and even dished on why she doesn’t partake in a tradition after the big evening.

Wintour touched on Anne Hathway’s gold lame Ralph Lauren gown.

“I thought she looked amazing,” Wintour said of the actress who once played a character inspired by the editor’s assistant in The Devil Wears Prada. “I have to admit I was slightly confused by the China reference, but I did my research and I found out that Anne and Ralph Lauren had actually based this dress on a modern Chinese artist, whose work features hip-hop artists and people wearing hoodies. So there you go, it’s brilliant!”

Anna Wintour had very positive things to say about Justin Bieber–even after Seth Meyers said his custom Balmain blazer paired with an asymmetrical button-down shirt, a black cummerbund, and black trousers looked funny.

“Now come on, Seth,” she said. “This was actually one of my favorites. These are all Chinese dragons and apparently that’s aged gold bullion thread… as it should be.”

So what tradition regarding the Met Gala does Anna Wintour forgo?

She doesn’t go to the after parties.

“I don’t go to the after parties,” she shared. “I think people always feel if I go to the after parties, they have to behave well, which, after all, is not the point of an after party. So, Rihanna and Lady Gaga were the hosts of the after parties. I retire with George Clooney.”

Speaking of George Clooney–Anna Wintour said he could where anything he wanted becaause “he has Amal on his arm and he’s George Clooney–he doesn’t have to wear anything.”

She makes a very good point. George Clooney doesn’t have to wear a thing.

Are you surprised by Anna Wintour’s reason behind not attending the after parties? That almost makes her seem approachable–doesn’t it?

Wintour definitely seem approachable on Late Night With Seth Meyers. In fact, the Vogue editor-in-chief was really very funny.
