fuboTV and Disney Strike Deal to Distribute Disney’s Catalog

fuboTV, one of the upcoming streaming services, has just struck a deal to include Disney’s catalog of channels.

As cord cutting gains popularity, streaming services are duking it out, using a combination of channels and features to lure customers. fuboTV offers one of the most well-rounded experiences, with a good channel lineup, generous DVR and modern interface.

Unfortunately, Disney’s catalog, including ESPN, has been a glaring omission from the streaming service—until now. The two companies have struck a deal that will see ABC, ABC News Live, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, in-market for SEC Network and ACC Network, FX, FXX and National Geographic added to the base fuboTV plan. Additional channels will be available on upgraded plans, such as out-of-market for SEC Network and ACC Network, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, FXM, Fox Life, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo and BabyTV.

“With the addition to our lineup of the ESPN suite of channels, we continue to make good on our promise to sports fans to be the undisputed home of professional and college sports,” said fuboTV CEO and Co-Founder David Gandler. “fubo is equally delighted to add the storied Disney, ABC, FX and Nat Geo networks to round out a robust programming portfolio for the whole family to enjoy.”

This is good news for fuboTV customers will make an already great streaming service even better.

  • Hulu Acquires ‘Fargo’ And Other MGM Content

Hulu Acquires ‘Fargo’ And Other MGM Content

Hulu announced that it has acquired exclusive streaming rights to hit television series (or mini-series, if you prefer..it was renewed for a second season) Fargo.

The acquisition comes as part of an expansion of Hulu’s relationship with MGM, and it also includes all episodes of History’s Vikings as well as multi-year, non-exclusive licensing rights to over 1,500 episodes of MGM series including Stargate Universe, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate: SG-1, Flipper, Green Acres, Addams Family, Thirtysomething, Dead Like me, and All Dogs Go to Heaven.

Fargo won three Emmys, and is nominated for five Golden Globes.

“MGM has been our longtime partner and is a consistent distributor of premium content. This expanded agreement allows us to become the streaming home to one of this year’s biggest and most critically acclaimed series, Fargo. After announcing our landmark output deal with FX Productions yesterday, this expanded partnership with MGM brings even more hit titles to Hulu,” said Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President and Head of Content at Hulu.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Hulu and proud to continue to offer exceptional programming from MGM including the Golden Globe nominated and Emmy award winning series Fargo, continued fan-favorite Vikings as well as classic titles from MGM’s vast library,” said John Bryan, MGM President of Domestic Television Distribution.

The deal is certainly a blow to Netflix, which lost out to FX on the show in the first place. In fact, Netflix and Hulu seem to be battling it out for FX content these days. While Netflix carries shows like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Louie, Sons of Anarchy, and American Horror Story, Hulu also announced another deal for more FX content this week.

Hulu’s deal includes The Strain, Tyrant, Married and You’re the Worst, Man Seeking Woman, The Comedians, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, Taboo, and Baskets.

All episodes of the first season of Fargo will be available for streaming on Hulu in 2015. All episodes of the first two seasons of Vikings are currently available.

  • Charlie Hunnam Talks ‘Sons’ Series Finale

Charlie Hunnam Talks ‘Sons’ Series Finale

Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam sat down with Sons creator Kurt Sutter to discuss the ultimate fate of the lead character Jax, after the series finale was broadcast on December 9.

During a segment entitled After Anarchy, Hunnam relayed his thoughts on the demise of his character, whose last moments involved a suicidal head-on collision with a big-rig, while he was being chased by a multitude of police officers on his motorcycle.

Hunnam, 34, remarked, “The thing that I loved about the way you chose to end the show… for me, it felt like the greatest celebration of who Jax was. I got the sense that being away from the family and being away from the club, there was no real happiness for him. And I felt truly in my heart, as the man who was so close to this character in those final moments, that he had found true peace and happiness, and I walk away from this celebrating his life and feeling as though he did exactly what he set out to do.”

Sons of Anarchy concerned the dealings of a gun-running motorcycle gang called SAMCRO, in the fictional California town of Charming. Hunnam’s character eventually became the president of the club, as the series progressed over seven seasons.

Sons stars Katey Sagal, Theo Rossi and Kim Coates attempt to explain the show in 30 seconds:

Hunnam, who made headlines after backing out of the lead role in the upcoming soft-core bondage drama Fifty Shades of Grey added, “He’s (Jax Teller) got himself into a bind. He’s in a corner and decided that the only way to extract himself from this situation and keep everyone in tact was to remove himself completely. And like we discussed, I think there was a great sense of peace and liberation that came with that decision.”

Hunnam will next appear in director Guillermo del Toro’s gothic romance Crimson Peak in 2015.

  • The Cast Of ‘The League’ Did A Google Talk

Google hosts a lot of interesting speakers for its “Talks at Google” events. Sometimes, they’re really scientific or technological. Other times, they’re just fun. You can decide for yourself which category this one falls into.

Last month, Google hosted some of the cast from FX’s The League, including Stephen Rannazzisi, Mark Duplass, Katie Aselton, and Jason Mantzoukas, which Google recently shared. It’s one of the few Google Talks that comes with the following disclaimer: “Warning – some content may not be appropriate for younger viewers.”

  • Ryan Murphy To Make True Crime Series

Ryan Murphy, creator of hit shows like American Horror Story, Glee, and Nip/Tuck, is ready to bring another winner to the viewing public.

The new series will bring true crime to the American Horror Story platform.

The new series is set to start filming in early 2015 in Los Angeles and will begin with a 10-episode series on O.J. Simpson called American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson.

The O.J. Simpson sequence is said to be based on a book called The Run of His Life: The People V. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin and will be directed by Ryan Murphy.

“This is an exciting project for me, as I’ve been looking for the right property which could serve as an extension of the American Horror Story brand I love so much,” Ryan Murphy said.

He continued, “The O.J. case was as tragic as it was fascinating — it seemed like everyone had a stake in the outcome. It was really the beginning of the modern tabloid age.”

The Ryan Murphy-directed series featuring the O.J. Simpson trial will reportedly be told from the attorneys’ perspectives and will center around the drama that led up to the trial.

That story, and the many other news stories of our age that are sure to be featured on the show, have changed American history.

Ryan Murphy fans aren’t the only people getting pumped about the new series.

John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks, said of the new Ryan Murphy venture,

“Time and time again, Ryan Murphy has transformed the medium of television by redefining genres and formats as he did with Nip/Tuck, Glee and the American Horror Story franchise, and we expect the same of American Crime Story.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJaBkPhQdFc

Landgraf continued, “Scott [Alexander] and Larry [Karaszewski] have adapted Jeffrey Toobin’s book into a masterful 10-hour piece. I have no doubt that Ryan [Murphy] and his partners Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, and Dante Di Loreto are going to make something very memorable here – and that it will be a spectacular first entry in what is destined to become a series of great true crime-based miniseries.”

Congratulations to Ryan Murphy on what is sure to be another masterpiece!

  • ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Creator Talks Casting Manson, Love

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter discussed the casting of rock stars Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love for the seventh season of the hit FX motorcycle gang drama at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour in Beverly Hills.

Sutter commented, “I tend to do this every season, I like to do some casting that’s a little bit outside the box, you know, from Stephen King to David Hasselhoff – we try to do stuff that’s fun.”

Regarding Manson’s casting, Sutter explained, “Manson (and) I became friends with through some music buddies and he’s a huge fan of the show and that was him basically just wearing me down and we found a great role for him and he’s great.” Manson’s character is described by FX as a “white supremacist prison shot-caller who Jax [Charlie Hunnam’s character] uses to expand his power base.”

Commenting on his Sons gig, Manson said, “‘Sons’ has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of ‘SOA’ is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

Manson, born Brian Hugh Warner, also recently hounded Eastbound and Down creator Danny McBride for a spot on that show, and got his wish:

Regarding the casting of Courtney Love, Sutter said he doesn’t know Love too well, but they met a few times and she had expressed interest in being on the show. “And then, we had this role of a school teacher and I thought, ‘Who better than Courtney Love?’ and so it sort of fits into our parameters of Sons of Anarchy casting,” Sutter remarked.

Love will first appear in the fourth episode as Ms. Harrison, the pre-school teacher of main character Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) eldest son Abel.

Sons of Anarchy season 7 premieres September, 9 at 10 PM ET/PT on FX.

  • Courtney Love Cast in ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Courtney Love Cast in ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Actress Courtney Love is set to appear in the 7th and final season of the FX biker gang drama Sons of Anarchy. Love will first appear in the fourth episode as Ms. Harrison, the pre-school teacher of main character Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) eldest son Abel.

This will be the television drama debut for Love, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work on 1995’s The People vs. Larry Flynt. The Hole frontwoman’s character takes a special interest in Abel, which will likely cause conflict with Abel’s mother Wendy, played by Drea de Matteo.

Courtney Love has been in the news of late due to the 20th anniversary of former husband and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain’s suicide in 1994, as well as for Nirvana’s recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Love has been somewhat of a polarizing character for legions of Nirvana fans, with some who believe she may have “Yoko’d” Cobain. A note in which Cobain bashes Love as a charlatan was revealed in April.

Here is Love’s 2014 single You Know My Name:

Performance artist Marilyn Manson has also signed on for Sons season 7, and will play a recurring role as a white supremacist. Commenting on his role, Manson said, “‘Sons’ has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of ‘SOA’ is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

In related news, back in March, Love revealed that she had solved the mystery of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370. Using a satellite imagery map called Tomnod, the rocker was able to extrapolate the exact whereabouts of the missing jet, and posted her findings on Facebook:

“I’m no expert but up close this does look like a plane and an oil slick. Prayers go out to the families #MH370 and its [sic] like a mile away Pulau Perak, where they ‘last’ tracked it 5°39’08.5″N 98°50’38.0″E but what do I know?”

  • ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Brings On Marilyn Manson As White Supremacist

Sons of Anarchy just got a bit more interesting!

On Thursday, May 29, the FX network announced a shocking new addition to the show’s cast – Marilyn Manson!

According to Hollywood Reporter, the “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” singer-songwriter will portray Ron Tully, a white supremacist, in a recurring role for the upcoming seventh season of the show.

In addition to the network’s press release, Manson released a statement of his own in regards to his upcoming role on the show. Manson revealed that the show holds sentimental value to him and he was actually determined to land a role on the show because he wanted to make his father proud.

‘Sons’ has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s,” Manson said. “So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of ‘SOA’ is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

The network revealed that Jax (Charlie Hunnam) will be working with Tully, a “prison shot-caller,” to further expand his power base. However, fans will have to wait and see whether they’ll be working on the streets with SAMCRO or behind bars. For those who missed it, season six ended with Jax taking the fall by agreeing to a plea deal that would put him away for quite sometime. He also took the deal to exonerate his wife, Tara.

Although widely known for his heavy metal, shock rock music, this won’t be the first time the Antichrist Superstar rocker has found himself on the small screen. Manson has appeared on a number of notable television series like MTV’s Celebrity Death Match, Showtime’s Californication, and HBO’s Eastbound & Down.

The final season of Sons of Anarchy is scheduled to premiere in September.

  • Katey Sagal of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Reveals Her Beauty Regimen

Sons of Anarchy star Katey Sagal recently spoke about her beauty regimen at the New York City premiere of Fargo.

“I take really good care of myself … I don’t smoke and I don’t drink. I sleep a lot, I just think it’s an inside job too. I think it’s attitude, a lot of it’s attitude. I try to have a good one.”

The 60-year-old actress, who has been described as “basically ageless,” currently stars as amoral matriarch Gemma Teller Morrow on the FX drama series Sons of Anarchy. Sagal’s husband Kurt Sutter is the show’s creator and executive producer.

The series’ seventh and final season is set to premiere in September.

“I haven’t gotten sad, I’m sort of not in that yet,” Sagal said. “I’m just not thinking about that. I suppose it will get sad. This one I’m sure there will be sad moments, but it has been an amazing ride.”

In 2011 Sagal won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama for her Sons of Anarchy role.

Prior to Sons of Anarchy, Sagal was best known as Peggy Bundy on the long-running sitcom Married … with Children. The series ran for an impressive eleven seasons from 1987 to 1997.

Soon after the launch of Sons of Anarchy in 2008, Sagal said “I wanted to do something different, to stretch, and this has provided that … I don’t want to kill Peggy Bundy. I would just like her to step aside.”

Apparently it wasn’t easy getting Peggy to step aside:

“I would literally have to go meet people so they could see I didn’t have big red hair and wear high heels constantly … It was just really ingrained in people.”

Between the two series, Sagal appeared in several film and television productions, most notably 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter and Futurama. She recently starred with Brittany Snow and Rumer Willis in There’s Always Woodstock, which premiered in March at the Gasparilla International Film Festival in Tampa, FL.

“I don’t know yet [what’s next],” Sagal said of her future. “I’m about to go back out there and see, see what happens next, so. I have been so blessed and so grateful to have had this job and the previous ones I’ve had. I feel very fortunate to have been here to have found this and to have [Kurt] write it for me.”

  • Keri Russell And Matthew Rhys Continue To Spark Dating Rumors

The two co-stars have sparked dating dating rumors in the past, and they continue to be seen together. While they have not confirmed or denied anything, it seems fairly evident that Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys have been together for a while.

Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are the two stars of the hit FX drama The Americans, and while they are able to keep things a secret on the show, they are a little more obvious about it in real life.

On The Americans, the two of them play KGB spies who are hiding out in the United States during the Cold War era. They are doing their best to keep their identities secret, and their two kids do not even know their past.

The potential couple was most recently spotted when they stepped out for date night on Thursday, stopping into New York’s The Public Theater, where they watched the Steven Soderbergh-directed play The Library. They were seen sitting closely, and whispered to one another as they left the theater.

It was reported that they may have been seeing each other as early as December, and around the same time that season 2 of their show aired, Keri Russell was forced to dodge questions regarding a possible relationship, and still would not reveal whether it was true or not.

The announcement that she may be dating Matthew Rhys comes just months after she and Shane Deary, her husband of nearly 7 years, separated. Keri Russell has two children with her ex-husband, a son River, 6, and a daughter Willa, 2.

The Americans premiered its second season on February 26th, and while they play a couple on the show, their jobs often get in the way, and can cause problems as well. After its first season, the series quickly became the most watched show on the FX network, and will look to have similar success with season 2.

They got awfully close through the filming of season one, and it seems to have translated into their real life. Are Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys a couple? Signs continue to point toward yes, and it certainly would not be the first time that lovers in a television show or film translated to real life.

  • “Fargo” Trailer Gives Us A Deeper Look At New Show

“Fargo” grabbed us all when it premiered in 1996; the Coen brothers outdid themselves with that one, giving us dark humor mixed with a gruesome, captivating story. The stress on the Minnesota accents could have bordered on silly if the film hadn’t been done right, and while they do add to some of the humor in the movie, the focus is on two wild cards, one tortured car salesman, and the police detective who connects them all in her mild-mannered way.

Now, FX is about to bring us a show based on the film, a limited series that features “Sherlock” star Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton. The series will follow in the same vein as the movie but will give us a new tale of true crime, and a new trailer has just been released that gives us a deeper look at what we can expect.

  • “American Horror Story” Reveals Season Four Premise

Big news is here for fans of the FX series American Horror Story. Not many details have been revealed yet, but it was just announced that the setting of the show will be at a carnival.

The show has received great praise in its run so far, which has consisted of three seasons, and three different locations, or scenarios. The show is a horror series, and up until now, it has been set in a haunted house, a coven, and an asylum.

Douglas Petrie, a writer on the show, confirmed the carnival rumor when saying “Very roughly, that’s the idea.” He said the revealing statement on the Nerdist Writer panel podcast.

American Horror Story has been nominated for several awards, and continually gets recognition for the acting of veteran actress Jessica Lange. Other cast members include Taissa Farmiga and Sarah Paulson, although other big name stars such as Dylan McDermott and Kate Mara have also appeared briefly.

The American Horror Story series has been called an anthology due to the way in which the series focuses on a different setting with each “season” of it, although they can also be looked at as separate series’ on their own.

The show is created and directed by Ryan Murphy. He is also the creator of Glee, Nip/Tuck, and will be brining the story of The Normal Heart to HBO this summer, which is filled with stars.

Murphy previously announced that season four will take place in the 1950s, further narrowing the overall concept of the season. The next season is set to be the last one for Jessica Lange, who has received Emmy Award, the Golden Globe Award, and the Screen Actor’s Guild Award for her performance on the show.

The creators and a handful of the actors are set to appear at an American Horror Story panel at PaleyFest on March 28th. Last year, PaleyFest was the location where Murphy revealed the third season concept, and its Coven subtitle.

The new American Horror Story, with its carnival theme, is set to premiere on FX in October. However, the official title, and most details surrounding the series, have not been revealed yet.

  • Keri Russell Dodges Question About Dating Matthew Rhys

The Americans star Keri Russell was obviously unwilling to address the question of whether or not she is dating co-star Matthew Rhys in a recent interview with Your Tango.

When the interviewer brought up the rumor that Russell and Rhys have become “more than co-stars,” Russell simply replied “Oh! I don’t know about that!”

Rhys says even his mom believes the rumors.

“She calls up going, ‘What’s going on? I just read this about you,’” Rhys said. “I tell her, ‘You have to take off your Google alerts.’”

Season Two of the FX Cold War-era drama premiered last night. Rhys and Russell have been making the rounds of talk shows and publicity events as they promote the new season.

When asked how her relationship with Rhys has changed since the beginning of the show, Russell responded: “When you do a movie and get to walk away from it after four months, you can really hate the person and you don’t have to ever see them again. This is different, more of a business partnership. Both he and I are very steady as people. We’re nice. And that makes for a harmonious relationship.”

In December, shortly after her home was burglarized, Russell revealed that she and husband Shane Deary had been separated since early summer. Russell’s rep said that the “… separation is amicable and their focus is on their children.”

Not long after, rumors of a romance between Russell and Rhys began swirling, with sightings of the two window shopping in Russell’s Brooklyn Heights neighborhood and looking “very much like a couple.”

Russell and Deary are the parents of two children, a six-year-old son and two-year-old daughter.

Russell is well-known for her role as the title character in the television drama Felicity which ran from 1998 to 2002.

Rhys is best known for his role as Kevin Walker in ABC’s critically acclaimed drama Brothers and Sisters which aired from 2006 to 2011.

  • Keri Russell Talks ‘The Americans’ Season 2

Keri Russell Talks ‘The Americans’ Season 2

Keri Russell returns to the small screen on Wednesday night in the second season of The Americans. The former Felicity star plays a Soviet spy named Elizabeth Jennings who is supposedly married to another Soviet spy played by actor Matthew Rhys.

In season one it was apparently not an unfamiliar sight to see Russell’s character slapping Rhys’s character around, and that reportedly will continue in season two as well.

“Yeah, that’s an old tradition that’s been upheld from the last season,” Rhys said during an interview E! News. “It goes back to the audition, the first audition that I had, the chemistry read that I had with Keri where she was told by Gavin O’Connor, the director, to slap me in the scene, completely unbeknownst to me, and did incredibly hard, and has consequently continued to do so in two seasons now. It’s happened several times. She likes to do it at inopportune moments, or when she thinks I’m least expecting it.”

“The last season, which was about the divide between Phillip and Elizabeth, you do see them on a far more, as I think was hinted at the in the end of last season, they are a lot more of a united front this year,” Rhys added. “The family conflict becomes a lot louder, as the ever more growing inquisitive teenage daughter becomes a lot more aware of the bizarreness of her parents’ disappearance.”

It seems Russell and Rhys’s TV daughter (Paige is played by Holly Taylor) is about to stir up some trouble.

“She’s growing up and so is her mind, and so is her interest in everything, so she plays a big part this year,” Keri Russell told E!.

The Americans has its own Twitter page, and has enthusiastically shared word of season 2’s premiere.

Keri Russell also joked with E! about the sizzling scenes she will perform in season 2 of The Americans with her “husband.”

“There’s lots of beer involved, I’m sure, to get us through,” Russell said.

Will you be tuning in at 10:00 PM ET on Wednesday evening February 26th to see the premiere of the second season of The Americans?

  • Keri Russell: ‘The Americans’ Season 2 Super Steamy

Keri Russell opened up Wednesday to TODAY show anchors Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie about her hit FX show The Americans, which returns for a second season tonight.

Apparently, Russell has been pretty hush-hush in recent weeks about the up-coming season, but the morning show anchors used some interesting techniques to get the info out of the former Disney mouseketeer.

Mocking her character on the show, Guthrie held up a desk lamp into the Felicity star’s face while Lauer interrogated her.

“You’re a KGB spy!” said Lauer. “You’re supposed to be able to keep a secret, but I need some intel here.”

Giggling throughout the mock interrogation, Russell said this season would be even hotter than last season. Lauer asked if the sex scenes — some of the steamiest on television — were going to get steamier.

“Yes, there are some incriminating scenes tonight,” said Russell.

Russell plays a Soviet spy fake-married with fake children to another Soviet spy (Matthew Rhys) in 1980s America. The spies later fall for one another.

  • ‘The Walking Dead’ Returns to AMC Tonight

‘The Walking Dead’ Returns to AMC Tonight

While we’re all a little sad FX’s creepy hit American Horror Story: Coven has recently concluded their season three, we have yet another chilling show to welcome back into our depraved lives. Say goodbye to witches and welcome back those lifeless zombies because The Walking Dead is back!

AMC’s The Walking Dead returns tonight with the second half of season four.

The last time we saw the gang, Hershel was murdered, the Governor was dead and the prison camp was split up.

Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Sasha on the show, spilled some exciting details about this season and why audiences are “going to be scared.”

“We have our lips sealed,” Martin-Green said. “But I can say it’s going to be very different from what you’ve seen before, from all the seasons.”

The gang can no longer depend on the prison for shelter and are forced to move elsewhere clearly resulting in some intense drama.

Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, expressed the struggle the crew is in now that they can no longer rely on the prison.

“We’ve had the sanctity and security of the prison for a season and a half and we’re on the road again.People have been spun into orbit,” he said. “Everybody’s been separated and it’s a terrifying world we inhabit again.”

Martin-Green agreed with the group’s battle.

“I think there’s a lot for this group to deal with,” she continued. “There’s going to have to be a new life established, new fights [and] a new struggle to find hope.”

And like past seasons, the cast usually doesn’t know who’s getting killed off until they get a script with the news. And while we don’t know if her character’s getting axed, we do know the zombie-slaying star hasn’t made it out without a few bumps and bruises along the way.

“I pulled my quads early in the season when it was the dead of summer and we were doing a lot of running and stabbing and killing,” she said. “It wasn’t too bad. I could still walk on it. I was limping.”

So where will the gang end up? And will they remain together?

Tune in to AMC tonight to catch the highly anticipated episode.

  • Zach Galifianakis, Louis CK Team Up For FX Comedy Series Pilot

The FX network has officially announced the order of a new comedy series pilot. The upcoming series, which is currently in development, will star The Hangover actor Zach Galifianakis.

However, his contribution won’t just be in front of the camera. Galifianakis and Louis C.K. will serve as the show’s creators and co-writers. The two will also act as the show’s executive producers along with Dave Becky, Andrea Pett-Joseph and Marc Gurvitz.

This particular pilot will be the first series production to be released under FX Production’s new merger with the Pig Newton production company, which is owned and operated by C.K.

According to USA Today, FX inked the deal with C.K. back in September of 2013 to develop and produce new shows. The series is one of twelve FX Production comedy pilots currently being developed.

The series, which appears on the comical website Funny or Die, chronicles Galifianakis interviewing notable celebrities while literally sitting between two potted ferns.

The series has been lauded because of Galifianakis’ comedic, yet bizarre interview style. On Between Two Ferns, Galifianakis’ bizarre personality and straight-faced quips are what make the interviews so comical. His long list of interviewed celebrities is endless.

Celebrities that have appeared on the show include Jimmy Kimmel,Michael Cera, Jon Hamm, Natalie Portman,Charlize Theron, Bradley Cooper, Carrot Top, Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter, Andy Dick, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Sean Penn, Bruce Willis, Tila Tequila, Jennifer Aniston, Will Ferrell, Samuel L Jackson with Tobey Maguire and Arcade Fire, and Justin Bieber.

I can’t wait to see who he brings through our door, not to mention any new projects that he wants to create for us.”

The new untitled comedy that will star Zach Galifinakis marks his first project with the network in the deal, and when the two of them being paired up, it is undoubtedly going to a huge hit with the fans and critics.

The new comedy is just one of 12 new projects in the works at FX, and others include Billy Crystal’s The Comedian, You’re the Worst from Weeds’ Stephen Falk, Tracy Morgan’s Death Pact, Denis Leary’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and the newly announced Charlie Kaufman comedy How & Why, starring Michael Cera and John Hawkes.
