  • Husky No No: Video Of Dog Refusing Kennel Trip

Have you ever looked at your pet and wished that they could tell you how they feel? Well this stubborn Husky named Blaze is not afraid to tell his owner just what he thinks.

In a hilarious viral video, we see a man informing Blaze that it’s “time to go in the kennel”. Blaze is having none of it. He refuses to move and can be heard making what appears to be “No” sounds. As the video rolls on, no matter how gently the man asks or insists that Blaze “loves his kennel”, the dog refuses.

“Blaze, it’s time to go in the kennel.”

    “No.”

    “Come on, Blaze.”

    “No.”

    “You love your kennel.”

    “Nooooo!”

The video, which has earned a whopping seven million views in two weeks, ends before we can find out if Blaze was ever convinced to get into his kennel. If I were a gambler, I’d have placed odds on the dog talking his way out of it.

As funny as this video is, it’s not the first time a human has gotten a “verbal” response out of a Husky. There was Mishka, who was video taped by her owners seemingly telling them that she loved them. The video has garnered over 88 million views, though whether or not the dog is actually communicating its affections has been a matter of debate

There was also the “Nononono” cat, whose nervous meows sounded like a refusal of some sort. A refusal to do what exactly has never been determined.

And while this frisky feline wasn’t exactly speaking people language, it appeared he was trying to communicate with the dog next door—by barking at it. Even more hilarious, the cat gave up on barking when it realized that its owners were onto it.

Even if our cats and dogs can’t really talk to us today, who knows? Technology is moving so fast, there may come a day when we can truly hold conversations with our pets. Imagine being a dog owner having a debate as to why Fido isn’t allowed to drink water out of the toilet.

Hmm, perhaps some things are better left unsaid.

  • Pajamas Christmas Video With Rapping Dad Goes Viral

You’ve probably heard at least one person at the water cooler mention this hilarious Christmas video they saw on Youtube featuring a suburban family rapping about their pajamas.

    Excuse me, Christmas Jammies.

What are Christmas Jammies and who has them? Well according to the video, the Holderness Family. Each member has a pair of pajamas featuring red and green striped bottoms and a red top with their name on them. You know, so no one is confused as to which pair of Jammies belongs to which person.

The family’s video Christmas card features “Dad” Holderness rapping to the tune of Will Smith’s “Miami” (in case you were wondering why that tune may have sounded familiar) and the family dancing in front of their house and new car. Which as the father points out, goes perfectly with their Christmas Jammies. Apparently the neighbors don’t think too much of this rapping and dancing family as one woman makes a face and asks, “Are those Christmas Jammies?” Some people just don’t like fun.

The video features the things like the dad proudly reflecting on his children’s numerous achievements. His daughter Lola ran a kid’s triathlon and not only earned a medal, but “looked like she was having fun.” I’ve seen adults at the end of those things, and many look like they want to drop dead right then and there. So kudos to you, Lola! Besides being athletic, Lola is also able to count to 100 in Chinese and sing. Lola and her brother, Penn, do sing a little in the video and it’s really cute.

The most fun aspect of this video is that this family knows they look ridiculous and so do the pajamas. Which is why they note, “no one will dance with us”. While they will get a hashtag from the hipsters uptown, it’s clear that the video was never about being taken seriously.

They are just a family that clearly loves each other and has fun and enjoys being together. Even when wearing goofy Christmas-themed pajamas. Perhaps that is why the video is so popular: It already has close to seven and a half million views despite only being up for about a week!

  • LinkedIn Parodies Commercials in its D10 Interview

LinkedIn Parodies Commercials in its D10 Interview

Kara Swisher’s interview with LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner and LinkedIn Chairman Reid Hoffman detailed LinkedIn’s very stable roadmap for building its social network while also making it profitable for investors. There were no surprises or big LinkedIn announcements, but the heads of LinkedIn did bring a parody video that shows the social network for professional networking actually has a pretty good sense of humor. In the video, television commercials for products such as cars and medications are parodied, while the most inane focus group ever imagined grades the ads. Oh, Weiner and Hoffman also make an appearance turning down an overzealous brand marketing executive. There’s a lot going on, but the dry humor contrasting the ridiculous parodies makes the whole thing worth watching.

Perhaps Weiner could give Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg some tips on keeping things light and funny. Zuckerberg is going to need a good sense of humor if he hopes to take all of the current criticism of his company’s recent IPO, much of it personal, in stride. It’s too late for Zuckerberg to ask Weiner for advice on how to successfully launch an IPO the way LinkedIn did, but perhaps some advice about how to double revenue over the course of a year and greatly impress analysts could still be helpful.

The D10 conference is a yearly conference organized by The Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital website. The conference features interviews with influential media and technology figures. D10 tries to differentiate itself from other tech conferences by eschewing scripted presentations and marketing pitches.

  • Grandma Takes a Lightsaber to Dubstep [VIDEO]

With the EA’s Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO on hold today due to a patch-related mix-up, you may be hard-up for your Star Wars fix. You’ll be happy, then, to see this video portraying one older woman’s lightsaber skills:

It seems granny doesn’t appreciate dubstep. And, though her technique is odd and her stance is unconventional, that woman has perfected her lightsaber throw. Let this be a lesson to young people everywhere: respect the elderly. You never know which of them might have a deep connection to the force. Also (and I’m just speculating here) midichlorian count might increase with age.

The poster of the video, andrewmfilms, has more of these short films on his YouTube page. All of them blend video game and pop culture references into real-life scenarios. Some good ones include Real Life Super Mario Bros., Minecraft: Zombie Attack, and Metal Slug in Real Life.

Here is a found footage-style short film andrewmfilms posted a month ago that could serve as a public service announcement, highlighting the dangers of abusing ancient dragon phrases:

Wow. Perhaps ZeniMax Media’s recent trademarking of the famous dragon shout was actually a bid to save lives.
