  • Courteney Cox Revealed Favorite “Friends” Moments

Courteney Cox and the rest of the Friends gang, except Matthew Perry, reunited recently for the special celebrating James Burrows’ 1000th directed episode of television.

Fans of the show loved seeing Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc (Monica, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey) on the same couch after so many years of them getting on with their own seperate careers.

However, some might describe the “reunion” a bit underwhelming. The segment only lasted about nine minutes and not much can be squeezed from nine minutes.

They did manage to get Courteney Cox and the rest of the “friends” to reveal their favorite episodes from the show’s 10 seasons.

    Damn, Chandler got really old

Courteney Cox revealed that her favorite was “The One with the Blackout” from Season One. In that one, if you recall, Chandler was “stuck in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre,” and Ross gets attacked by a cat on that iconic balcony.

Fans could still detect the chemistry that Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and the rest always had on Friends.

Even twelve years later, the cast seems to have just picked up from where they left off.

Jennifer Aniston said of the group, “In the beginning, it was not a hard thing. We really just wanted to hang out with each other. It was not, ‘We have to do this.’”

She added, “We really just fell in love and adored each other instantly, and would hang out at each other’s houses and watched the show together.”

What did you think of Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and the rest of the Friends sharing their favorite memories?

  • Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and “Friends” Friends Meet to Film Reunion

Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and the rest of the Friends gang–except Matthew Perry–met up Sunday night to film the sort-of reunion set to honor director James Burrows. Perry is working in London, but will reportedly film something for the tribute.

Friends fans will likely be a bit disappointed to learn this isn’t the kind of reunion they’ve long been hoping for.

“I wish I could say it was going to be a reunion,” David Schwimmer told E! News while promoting his upcoming FX series, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. “[It’s a] 5/6 reunion.”

Stars of The Big Bang Theory–Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and Simon Helberg–table-hopped over to Courtney Cox and the Friends gang’s table for a picture.

“? FRIENDS #MEETS BBT ?” Cuoco captioned her Instagram photo.

Meanwhile, those disappointed that the Friends reunion isn’t really all it was first cracked up to be when rumors first circulated about it, will be glad to know that Courteney Cox is working on a new show for Fox, in which she will play the leading role. As yet untitled, the show , “centers on Hailey (played by Courteney Cox), a woman who inherits her late billionaire husband’s charity and finds that changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined.”

No word has leaked on when the show will premiere.

There is a date and time set for the so-called Friends reunion, however. Fans can at least catch a glimpse of Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer in Must See TV: A Tribute to James Burrows (see–the Friends title isn’t even in the show’s name) on February 21 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

  • Matthew Perry Not Joining Former Cast Mates for “Friends” Reunion

Matthew Perry is the only one of the former Friends cast mates who won’t be joining the others during the upcoming Friends reunion.

The actor best known for his role as Chandler Bing dished about his impending absence while filming an episode of The Graham Norton Show, and he sort of took the wind out of Friends fans’ sails.

“It’s not the reunion everyone is hoping for. They are celebrating Jim Burrows, who was a director of Friends,” Matthew Perry explains.

“The other five are going to be on this special and I am going to introduce them from London,” he continued. “I’m doing the play here so I can’t be there.”

Matthew Perry is starring in The End of Longing in London.

He admits he had no idea how enormous Friends would become.

“I knew it would be a success and that we had something special, but I didn’t know the giant hit it would become,” Perry says.

Will you be tuning in on February 2 to see Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrown, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc honor Jim Barrows on what has come to be known as the Friends reunion?

Are you disappointed to learn Matthew Perry won’t be there?

The Friends reunion was announced on Wednesday and it caused quite a stir on the internet, with many wondering if the powers that be could really get all six of them together in one room.

I mean, they all lead busy lives these days and a Friends reunion might be a waste of time to some of them.

Well, it looks like they almost made it. The Friends reunion will go on, but minus one Matthew Perry.

Lisa Kasteler, a spokesperson for Perry said, “Matthew will not be attending as he is in London in rehearsals for his play, The End of Longing.”

She added, “NBC executives were aware of this prior to their (Television Critics Association) announcement. Matthew may tape something for the tribute. In other words, this is not the reunion people have been hoping for.”

Can a Friends reunion really be a reunion with only five friends?

  • Lisa Kudrow Meets Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox: Friends Reunion?

Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox all got together for dinner in L.A. last week, to the delight of all the tabloids, fueling rumors about a Friends reunion. It was, of course, a reunion of sorts, but without the talk of producers, sets, and sitcoms. Instead it was a gathering of three good friends (with a lower-case ‘f’) who gathered to celebrate Cox’s recent engagement. The ladies met at Craig’s and enjoyed about three hours together–eating and chatting, as girlfriends do.

“They had a girls’ dinner to celebrate Courteney’s engagement,” a source said. “They had a great time and enjoyed catching up over dinner for several hours.”

Courteney Cox said ‘yes’ to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDade’s proposal in June.

While Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston shared in Courteney Cox’s excitement, Courteney received an unexpected and completely unplanned FaceTime call from Friends costar Matt LeBlanc.

“I just happened to FaceTime Courteney and she’s like, ‘Look who I am with!’ I was like, ‘Oh, wow, that’s good,’ ” he said. “It’s hard to get together because everyone is all over the place.”

Matt was very clear about having given Jennifer Aniston his seal of approval for fiance Justin Theroux, but admitted he hasn’t yet met Johnny McDade.

“I have not met Courteney’s guy yet, so I need to get on that … I need to get the baseball bat and go over there,” he said

“If they’re happy, I’m happy,” he added.

Lisa Kudrow may not have engagement news, but she is certainly making news in Showtime’s Web Therapy, and will soon make a comeback on HBO for a few episodes of The Comeback. She says she had a blast meeting up with all of her good friends and former Friends costars.

“It was really fun, great to see them,” she said. “I got to see the ring,” she added, referring to the Cougar Town star’s engagement ring.

The antennae of diehard Friends fans likely rise when they receive any word of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow getting together. What they must understand is that in addition to having starred together in Friends, these ladies are friends–and it looks like that will never change.

  • Courteney Cox: For Last Time, No Friends Reunion!

Since 2004 when it ended, fans of the 1990s hit television show Friends have been wishing and hoping for a reunion. On Monday night, the rumors of that possibility were shut down (again) by actress Courteney Cox.

“It’s not going to happen,” Cox told David Letterman on The Late Show.

“Let me tell you something: there’s six friends and I’ve been trying to put together a cast dinner for 10 years. It doesn’t happen. I can get the girls to come, maybe Matthew Perry. Matt LeBlanc canceled last time right at the last minute, Schwimmer lives here [in New York City]…”

Cox’s comment confirms what Marta Kaufman, co-creator of Friends, said last April.

“I’m going to clear this up – it’s not happening,” Kaufman said. “‘Friends’ was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”

Friends ran for 10 seasons on NBC, becoming one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. It even is said to have had cultural impact during the run: “The Rachel” hairstyle that was copied all over the world, Joey’s catchphrase “How you doin’?” became a part of American slang, and Chandler’s habit of leaving a sentence unfinished for sarcasm started to affect young society’s speech patterns.

Although the six actors won’t be reuniting at Central Perk any time soon, many have moved on to other television series and/or films. Cox is currently starring on ABC’s hit comedy Cougar Town. Jennifer Aniston has had enduring film success in movies such as Horrible Bosses and We’re the Millers. Lisa Kudrow is starring in her third season of Web Therapy on Showtime. Matt LeBlanc stars as a fictional version of himself on the BBC Two/Showtime series Episodes. Matthew Perry is soon to star as Oscar Madison in a new television version of The Odd Couple and David Schwimmer has been working on and Off-Broadway in a handful of stage debuts.

However, if fans are still in Rachel-Monica-Phoebe-Joey-Chandler-Ross withdrawal, there are always reruns.

  • Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry Together Again

Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry–former Friends costars–reunited once again on the set of Cox’s hit show Cougar Town. Known for their roles as Monica and Chandler Bing on the long-running sitcom, they were excited to work together yet again. This isn’t the first time the two have reunited on the small screen, however. Courteney Cox guest starred on Matthew Perry’s short lived NBC sitcom, Go On.

Very little has been said about the relationship between Perry and Cox on Cougar Town. Fans are guessing that a romance may be involved–but who knows? Maybe Perry is her long lost brother or her third cousin twice removed from Soldatna, Alaska. The ball is in the writer’s courts and you can bet the result will be good.

Friends fans have long longed for a bona fide Friends reunion, but thus far have been disappointed every time a headline hinting at that crops up. This may be as close as they get for a while, but at least they have something like this to look forward to.

No date has been announced for the airing of Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry’s reunion on Cougar Town, however fans will likely spread the word like wild fire–via social media, of course, once it’s been announced. And as for that rumored Friends reunion? That one seems to still be floating in the wind.
