  • Jennifer Aniston Talks New Fragrance

    If you are looking for a new summer scent, Jennifer Aniston has one that you are sure to love.

    The former Friends actress recently launched her second fragrance called J by Jennifer Aniston. Aniston described the scent as an alternative for the fruity choices, and says that the scent reminds her of arriving at the beach.

    “My debut fragrance is a clean, feminine perfume — it reminds me of the way you smell when you just arrive at the beach: fresh, with a touch of sunblock and sand,” Aniston told PEOPLE. “This new fragrance is its complement. It has a hint of that salty sea smell that reminds me of a day spent in the ocean. It’s relaxed and refreshing.”

    Aniston launched her first fragrance in 2011 and said that her role as a perfume developer came natural to her. “I wanted to create my own fragrance because for years, I would make scented oils and lotions for my girlfriends for wedding showers, baby showers and birthdays,” Aniston explained. “I would create a personalized scent for them, so when I was offered the opportunity to design my own fragrance I jumped at the chance.”

    Not only is Aniston working on her fragrance line, she was also recently named the spokeswoman for Living Proof hair products. In May, Aniston explained that she has always liked to take on a low maintenance approach to beauty and Living Proof helps her with that.

    Since her days on Friends, Aniston has always had the hair that every woman envied. However, she explained that it hasn’t always looked like it does now and isn’t easy to care for. “It’s funny and entertaining in a way and it’s of course very flattering to say the least,” Aniston told ABC. “But I always have such a chuckle when I hear people saying I have great hair because as a kid it was always a challenge.”

  • Jessica Simpson Super Sexy in Her Fragrance Ad

    Jessica Simpson is looking super sexy these days and that’s abundantly clear in an ad for her new signature fragrance. The 33-year-old mom of two and soon-to-be wife of former NFL Player Eric Johnson lost lots of weight–she was a Weight Watchers spokesperson after all–and she’s looking like she has a new lease on life. She and Johnson are set to tie the knot some time next weekend in a wedding that seemed like it might never happen. When Jess was making wedding plans following the birth of their daughter Maxwell she learned she was pregnant with their second child–a son named Ace. Since the Dukes of Hazzard star didn’t want to walk down the aisle pregnant she put off their plans once again. This time it appears as though they’re headed to the altar.

    Jessica’s new fragrance comes in a shapely bottle–not unlike its designer–and is even adorned with a lovely feather motif. Of course it might be hard for prospective buyers to even see the fragrance in the new ad when Jess is in the photo, too. Fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon can take credit for the photo shoot, but definitely not for the subject. Yes, she’s looking that good.

    Just a few days ago Jessica Simpson shared a sexy new shot taken while hiding from the paparazzi. She captioned this one ‘Hiding from the paparazzi so why not pose for Eric?’

    Eric is no doubt very pleased.

  • Jay Z Releases New Men’s Fragrance: Gold Jay Z

    Just when you thought Jay Z could not possibly do anything more as a business mogul, he comes out with a new fragrance for men. He debuted his new fragrance, which he calls “Gold Jay Z” on Friday November 1st. It will be sold starting November 20th at Barneys in New York.

    The new fragrance will launch at the store, as a part of his holiday collaboration with the store. After its release at Barneys, “Gold Jay Z” will hit all of the other department stores in time for the holiday shoppers on Black Friday.

    The fragrance will also be accompanied by a multi-platform ad campaign.

    When purchasing Jay Z’s new fragrance, customers can look for the fancy packaging as a it comes in a sleek white bottle and a black leather gift box, and has words including “power, success, courage” etched in the gold top. In case future customers are wondering, the fragrance contains hints of yellow ginger, cypress, vetiver and bourbon vanilla (among many others).

    Jay Z is already well established as a business mogul, and in addition to his career as a hip hop artist, he has started a clothing line, a sports agency, and several other business ventures.

    In order to create his new scent, Jay Z collaborated with Firmenich perfumer extraordinaire Ilias Ermenidis. In relation to their partnership Ermenidis said “He has a natural cool that people want a piece of. In developing Gold Jay Z, I wanted to capture both the vibrant ambitious part of Jay Z’s charismatic persona and his effortless style that he naturally embodies through a fusion of notes chosen by Jay Z.”

    Eariler this year, he released his latest album titled “Holy Grail,” which also featured a documentary film that went along with it. The hit song from the album, “Holy Grail” had a music video which also debuted exclusively on Facebook, the first time that a song has ever done that.

    As if he does not do enough on his own, he was also listed, along with his wife Beyonce, as Forbes’ highest paid celebrity couple.

    Jay Z is arguably the most successful celebrity who has used his money and power to make moves in the world of business, and does not show any signs of quitting that yet.

  • New Fragrance Makes You Smell Like a New Macbook Pro

    There are certain things that smell unique, and can only be described by the product they represent: The new car smell, the smell of a new book or a new video game. These things smell great because of the happy feelings we associate with them. Everyone loves getting new things. Doesn’t mean that we personally want to smell like that.

    The smell of a new Apple product is no exception. Smells great; I don’t want to smell like Apple products.

    But you could if you want to. An art exhibit in Melbourne, Australia will feature a perfume that smells exactly like a new Macbook Pro. The scent was created by artists Gavin Bell, Jarrah de Kuijer and Simon McGlinn, who go under the name Greatist Hits, with fragrance maker Air Aroma.

    It was completed by importing sample scents like glue, plastic, rubber and paper from the South France company Air Aroma. They then opened a new Macbook and attempted to recreate the smell using the ingredients at hand.

    If you believe the Air Aroma blog, they succeeded, “Apple fans will certainly recognize this smell. The scent created for Greatest Hits encompasses the smell of the plastic wrap covering the box, printed ink on the cardboard, the smell of paper and plastic components within the box and of course the aluminum laptop which has come straight from the factory where it was assembled in China.”

    Unfortunately, most of us won’t be able to test it ourselves. The product is being used exclusively at the West Space Art Exhibit in Melbourne.
