  • Stephanie Moseley’s Friends And Colleagues Mourn Her Death

On December 8, the bodies of actress and dancer Stephanie Moseley and rapper Earl Hayes were discovered inside their apartment. The police have concluded that Hayes shot himself after killing his wife. Moseley’s close friends and family are now mourning the tragic loss. “She was this wide-eyed, beautiful girl. She was cautious and she never wanted to be the focus of the room – unless she was on stage,” said Rachel Poirier, Moseley’s former dance teacher. Poirier taught Moseley from the ages of 12 to 18 years old, but the two remained friends.

Stephanie was an actress from Vancouver who was last seen in the VH1 show Hit the Floor. VH1 released a statement right after her passing, saying, “VH1 and the entire ‘Hit the Floor’ family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.” Moseley’s Hit the Floor co-star, Dean Cain, also expressed his grief. “Stephanie was exceptionally beautiful, an absolutely amazing and incredible dancer, and judging by how the other girls spoke about her, a lovely human being,” he said. “I’m heartbroken and saddened.”

In a statement released by the LAPD, they discussed the details surrounding the case. According to the statement, police arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a shooting in the 300 block of Hauser Avenue. Additional gunshots were heard by the policemen who arrived at the scene. SWAT officers entered the apartment and found the bodies of Moseley and Hayes inside.

Earl Hayes, son of Isaac Hayes, is known to be a close friend of boxer Floyd Mayweather. TMZ reported that Hayes was talking to the boxer on Facetime prior to shooting Moseley. According to reports, an infuriated Hayes told Mayweather of his plan to kill his wife because she was being unfaithful. Mayweather told him not to do it, but Hayes carried out the murder before shooting himself.

It’s been reported that Mayweather acknowledges that he heard everything that transpired, but he will not divulge what he saw.

  • Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Defends His Right to Call Out Ex-Fiancee’s Abortion

American boxer and five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is defending his right to call out his ex-fiancée’s abortion on social media.

Shantel Jackson, who aborted her and Mayweather’s twin children, is suing Mayweather for defamation, assault, and invasion of privacy but the 37-year-old boxer is working to get her lawsuit dismissed.

Mayweather said that Jackson asked him to help her “become famous” and used his celebrity to build her up. He added that since they both are famous, the public is interested in every aspect of their relationship including the breakup.

“At age 37 I am an undefeated boxer. I have been the world champion in five different weight divisions,” the boxer claimed in a sworn statement. “After we broke up, there was a lot of media talk about why we broke up. I expressed myself on the breakup and abortion … and posted it on social media.”

“Both parties are public figures,” he said in a legal document. “Abortion is a public issue. A public figure involved with another public figure in a public relationship can expect publicity, not privacy, about why it ends.”

This is Mayweather’s defense for calling Jackson out in a series of social media posts including a sonogram picture on Instagram last Spring that read, “The real reason me and Shantel Christine Jackson @missjackson broke up was because she got a abortion, and I’m totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies.”

The post has since been deleted.

Mayweather has seen his share of legal issues. In 2002 he was charged with two counts of domestic violence and one count of misdemeanor battery. Then in 2004 Mayweather was given a one-year suspended jail sentence after being convicted of two counts of misdemeanor battery against two women. In 2010 his former girlfriend, Josie Harris, filed a domestic battery report against him and he was taken into custody on September 10 but was released after posting a $3,000 bail. In December, 2011 a judge sentenced Mayweather to serve 90 days in the county jail, 100 hours of community service, a 12-month domestic violence program, and a fine of $2,500.

A judge has yet to rule on the recent legal issue regarding Shantel Jackson.

  • Manny Pacquiao’s Next Fight: Will Floyd Mayweather Jr. Finally Man Up?

At a press conference following Manny Pacquiao’s latest victory, Pacquiao’s agent Bob Arum said that he has an idea on how to get a Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fight that will satisfy both their fans.

“The only people that can make Floyd Mayweather fight Manny is the public, if they boycott the nonsense on May 3,” Arum yelled. The “nonsense” he was referring to was Mayweather’s upcoming fight against Marcos Maidana, which will be held in a few weeks.

He continued to say that the media should tell the people not to purchase tickets or watch the fight on pay-per-view. “There is no other strategy. We are prepared tomorrow to sit down at a table with his people.” He also said that they are willing to talk and work out the conditions with Mayweather’s camp.

With Pacquiao’s latest victory against Timothy Bradley, fans are now talking about a possible fight against Mayweather. If this is not possible, the next logical move is a fifth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. The two have been in four fights, 3 wins for Pacquiao and 1 for Marquez wherein he knocked out Pacquiao.

After the fight with Bradley, Pacquiao stated that he is willing to go in the ring with Marquez for a fifth fight, but it is ultimately Arum’s decision. This is more logical, as Arum promotes the two men, and they both generate a lot of money, both live and on pay-per-view.

On the other hand, a Pacquiao and Mayweather fight has been anticipated by fans for years, and it would no doubt be a great fight between the sport’s two biggest names. It is not clear to many who is avoiding whom, but there are speculations that Mayweather has been avoiding the fight for wise reasons. Through the years, he has demanded conditions before fighting with Pacquiao, such as a greater profit, and enhanced drug testing. Pacquiao’s camp has obliged to comply with his requests. However, there is still no final agreement between the two sides.

    Mayweather’s list of excuses.

Arum’s words on Sunday were fueled by the fact that there were signs and banners promoting Mayweather’s upcoming fight when he was also working on advertising a Pacquiao-Bradley rematch.

Arum also called Mayweather a thug. “We’ll give you quality fights. But you want to close your eyes to thuggery in this sport,” he said. When asked about his use of the word “thuggery,” Arum only said that “the ring is square” and that rules for shepherding a fight are “immutable.”

  • Floyd Mayweather’s Attempted Murder And Kidnapping Arrest Is A Fake Report

News of Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s arrest on May 13 has begun making rounds on the Internet, and it’s all thanks to a satirical news site called Huzlers.com.

According to a “Breaking News” item posted by Huzlers on May 14, the reigning Pound-for-Pound king in boxing was allegedly charged with attempted murder and kidnapping and was taken away by authorities from his Nevada home. To add hype to the fake news bit, Huzlers used an old photo of Mayweather being arrested in 2012 for domestic battery. The article even referenced the popular celebrity news website TMZ Sports regarding the details of the alleged crimes.

TMZ Sports released an actual news article about Mayweather Jr.’s alleged involvement in the severe beating and kidnapping of two if his employees because he suspected them of stealing his jewelry. TMZ Sports reported that the two male employees had been working on the construction of Mayweather Jr.’s Las Vegas homes when Mayweather Jr. discovered that some of his jewelry pieces were missing. The two workers told TMZ Sports that someone from Mayweather Jr.’s camp contacted them several weeks ago and gave them instructions to meet the boxing champ at an off-site location.

Floyd Mayweather Accused Of Murder And Kidnapping

The two men claimed that Mayweather Jr. and several of his “people” were waiting for them when they arrived at the site. They added that Mayweather Jr.’s posse proceeded to assault them using a variety of weapons, “including clubs”. The beating was so brutal that the two workers suffered broken arms and legs, and had to stay at the hospital for several days.

Upon closer inspection of the Huzlers article, it is evident that they merely copied the TMZ Sports article. They simply appended it with the fake update about Mayweather Jr.’s “arrest”. At the bottom of the page, a statement can be found that says Huzlers.com combines real and satirical news “to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief”.

  • Ronda Rousey Boasts She Could Beat Floyd Mayweather

Ronda Rousey has taken the MMA world by storm since signing a contract with the UFC in 2012. Over that time period, Rousey has won all 9 of her fights in dominating fashion: 8 by arm-bar submission, and her latest fight against Sara McMann was won in just 66 seconds by TKO – a new record for women UFC MMA fighters.

Not only has Rousey been successful inside the Octagon but also in her ventures outside the octagon. Rousey has filmed two movies (Fast & Furious 7 and The Expendables 3, become a star in the next UFC video game, and has been a coach on the UFC’s successful reality show, The Ultimate Fighter.

Rousey’s successes has prompted UFC owner Dana White to proclaim that “She’s the hugest superstar.” White would further add to his grandiose statement: “I’m going to go out and say she’s the biggest star we’ve ever had.”

Unfortunately for Rousey, the sport doesn’t have much more to offer. She has defeated all of the top stars currently fighting in the UFC and is currently awaiting any newcomers hoping to challenge for her title.

Perhaps it is this “boredom” that pushed Rousey to declare that she could best world-famous, undefeated, and current WBC welterweight world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. In speaking to hosts at Power 106 FM, Rousey unveiled her plan to defeat Mayweather if the two were ever placed in the same octagon:

“I’ll tell you what I’d do… You ready? I would drop down to the ground and crawl over to him as fast I as I can and then I’d grab him by … I wouldn’t even stand up. I wouldn’t be anywhere near him. I would just do a little army crawl over there [laughs]. He’d have to run away and I’d be skittering after him, like the one dude in ‘Bloodsport’ who was doing the whole monkey-crawl fight system. I would do that. I would just bear crawl over there, just too low for him to hit me and tackle him down.”

(Here is a video for any who do not get the reference.)

With UFC 170 not making the amount of money Dana White wanted, perhaps the Mayweather v. Rousey fight will come to fruition sooner than later. Let’s hope.
