  • ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Extinction Episode 2 Previewed

Earlier this week Infinity Ward and Activision released a new gameplay preview for the next upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC pack. The content includes four new multiplayer maps, a new weapon, and a new episode for the game’s “Extinction” game mode.

Though the Call of Duty brand has become synonymous with first-person competitive console multiplayer, the franchise has come to embrace various co-op modes as well. Led by the Black Ops series’ zombie mode, players have been teaming up for years to survive and eliminate waves of computer-controlled enemies.

The co-op modes have become progressively more story-driven with each year’s new Call of Duty installment. Call of Duty: Ghosts‘ Extinction mode revolves around a mysterious and violent alien race dubbed the cryptids. The story of the aliens is set to be told over four different episodes released with Ghosts‘ DLC packs.

Today a new video preview was released for the second episode of Extinction, coming this week in the “Devestation” DLC add-on for Ghosts. Titled “Mayday,” the episode follows-up from the first episode released with the “Onslaught” DLC release for Ghosts in January. That episode saw players investigate the “Nightfall Program” research station in Alaska while battling off waves of cryptids.

The new episode will group players onto derelict research ship afloat in the South Pacific. There players will have to cooperate to take discover the secrets behind the cryptids and face-off against new cryptid types such as the 100-foot tall “Kraken.”

The “Extinction” DLC add-on on for Call of Duty: Ghosts is scheduled to launch for Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles this week, on April 3. The content will roll out to PlayStation consoles at a later date.

  • ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Devastation DLC Gameplay Previewed

Back at the beginning of March Activision and Infinity Ward previewed the second big DLC pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Titled “Devastation,” the add-on will be bringing new maps, new weapons, and new story content to the latest Call of Duty game.

At the time of its announcement, “Devastation” was previewed in a lengthy developer video describing the game’s new content and teasing a few of the ideas behind the update. Today a new video preview has been released for “Devastation” that showcases all of the action players can expect to see when it is released.

Like all new Call of Duty map pack DLC, “Devastation” will include four new competitive multiplayer maps. Named “Ruins,” “Collision,” “Behemoth,” and “Unearthed,” the maps provide varied settings for players to compete in, including a mountaintop Mayan temple, a container ship wrecked beneath a New York bridge, and an alien artifact dig site. Unearthed in particular is a remake of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 map “Dome.”

“Devastation” also includes the second episode in the ongoing story seen in Ghosts‘ Extinction mode. Titled “Mayday,” the new story will take players to a Chinese research vessel stranded on the Tasman sea. There players will have to work cooperatively to uncover the ship’s secrets while battling waves of Cryptid monsters, including a few new Cryptid enemy types.

“Devastation” will also bring the new “Ripper” weapon to Ghosts multiplayer. The weapon is a combination SMG/assault rifle that can switch between its two firing modes on-the-fly, enabling players to use one weapon for both close-up combat and ranged firefights.

The new trailer shows off stylized gameplay on each of the new maps and previews how the Ripper might be used during combat. The second episode of Extinction mode is also shown, including a glimpse of the 100-foot tall “Kraken” Cryptid. The ending of the video even includes a special surprise involving a certain 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie:

“Devastation” is scheduled to hit Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles first on April 3.

  • ‘Zombies Monsters Robots’ Shooter Officially Announced

At last week’s Game Developers Conference publisher En Masse Entertainment (the publisher behind the Terra MMO) previewed a new shooter experience complete with a crazy stable of large, creepy enemies. Today the publisher has officially announced Zombies Monsters Robots.

Zombies Monsters Robots (ZMR for short) will be a free-to-play third-person PC shooter centered around killing a variety of over-the-top video game enemies such as giant mechs, demons, giant bugs, zombies, and dinosaurs outfitted with rocket launchers.

The game’s story involves an alternate universe in which portals have populated the Earth with “cross-dimensional” creatures. The humans of this universe have no choice but to use their ingenuity and big guns to take on the extra-dimensional invasion.

Developed by Yingpei Games, ZMR is being designed as a co-op experience that puts up to eight players in a variety of settings while throwing waves of enemies their way. Up to 16 players will also be able to compete in competitive multiplayer matches.

The game itself will feature classic third-person shooter controls, including a cover system, dodging, and a version of the “active reload” popularized by the Gears of War games. As a free-to-play game the guns and “gear” used by players can be heavily customized.

A short preview of the absurd action that the game provides was previewed today in a new teaser that pits ZMR as an alternative to the current status-quo in the shooter market:

As previewed in the teaser trailer, ZMR appears to be riding a new trend in shooters that is moving away from the Call of Duty-type deathmatch experience toward something more akin to the twitch-based PC shooters that became popular in at the turn of the century. Combined with the Left 4 Dead– and Monster Hunter-inspired co-op seen in Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve, ZMR just might be the type of game PC gamers need to break the stagnation of the shooter genre.

  • ‘Titanfall’ Launch Trailer Released

Last week EA released its expected live-action trailer for its upcoming Titanfall. The game is positioned to draw gamers from the same pool as the Call of Duty fanbase, so it isn’t surprising that the publisher would copy Activision’s successful live-action ad strategy (though EA didn’t spring for big-name celebrities).

With only days left before Titanfall launches on PC and Xbox One, EA and Respawn have now released the official gameplay launch trailer for the game.

For those that still aren’t aware, Titanfall is a multiplayer-only shooter set in a sci-fi future. Players square a off in teams of six in Call of Duty-type matches, but with a few twists. Players are able to wall-run and double jump, making speed and maneuverability key, and the teams are joined by small squadrons of AI-controlled teammates that help keep the game’s pace up. Also, every few minutes each player can call in a giant mech called a Titan.

All of these elements are previewed in the launch trailer, which also teases a bit of the space opera story that Respawn has managed to fit into the multiplayer-only game:

  • ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Devastation DLC Previewed

Activision and Infinity Ward today revealed the content coming in the next Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC. As with previous Ghosts map packs, the new “Devastation” DLC will contain four new multiplayer maps, another chapter for the “Extinction” co-op mode, and a new powerful weapon.

The four maps will be titled “Ruins,” “Collision,” “Behemoth,” and “Unearthed.” All of them are small or medium sized. Ruins will put players into a Mayan temple on top of a mountain, Collision takes place on a wrecked container ship lodged underneath a New York bridge, Behemoth features gameplay on a South American excavation platform, and Unearthed is a “reimagined” version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3‘s “Dome” map set in an alien artifact dig site that contains a secret alien weapon.

The second episode of Ghosts‘ Extinction mode is titled “Mayday.” Players will band together to investigate a “Chinese research vessel” left adrift on the Tasman Sea. Cryptids and plot twists will be waiting inside, including the new “Seeder” Cryptid type and a massive (100-foot tall) Cryptid known as the “Kraken.”

The new weapon coming with Devastation is called the “Ripper.” The gun is an SMG/Assault Rifle that can be switched between those modes on the fly.

All of these features are previewed in the new Devastation trailer released today:

  • Playing The Titanfall Beta This Week? Here Are Some Tips

Titanfall may be the most anticipated shooter of the year and for good reason – it’s really good. Those who have been playing the beta this weekend can attest to that fact. Now more players will be able to try it out as the Xbox One beta is now available to all while the PC beta is open to all who signed up for the beta before February 15. Before those players jump in though, they might want to check out these tips.

Xbox shared a video that explains one of the more interesting concepts in Titanfall – burn cards. These are like perks in Call of Duty, but can only be used once per life. They can be activated either at the start of a match, or when your respawn in after death. They will remain active until you are killed. They also are used up upon your death so you’ll have to earn that particular burn card again if you liked its effect.

So, what kind of effects can you expect from burn cards? Effects range from increased player mobility to weapon replacements. For example, a burn card can replace the regular ammo in your sniper rifle to one with explosive rounds for one life. Another example is that you can summon an Ogre Titan instead of the usual Atlas for a turn.

Before you start playing, you might want to familiarize yourself with the two maps available in the beta – Angel City and Fracture. Both maps provide opportunities for fans of different play styles to try out different strategies.

Last but not least, here’s a preview of what you’re missing:

  • ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Perks System Detailed

With just days to go before the release of the next yearly Call of Duty title, Activision has detailed one of the most important parts of the game’s competitive multiplayer modes – the perks system.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature a very flexible perks system in which players will be able to customize their load-out with a variety of special abilities. Each of the 35 available perks has a point value from one to five, depending on how valuable it is. Each load-out a player creates has a base of 8 points to spend on these perks. These points can be increased by one (up to 12) for removing each of the primary, secondary, tactical, and lethal weapons from the load-out.

Of course, not all of the perks will start out unlocked. Players will unlock perks as they level up. Alternatively, the “Squad Point” in-game currency earned by gaining XP can be used to unlock specific perks ahead of time.

The perks are all grouped into seven categories of five. The categories include speed, handling, stealth, awareness, resistance, equipment, and elite, which includes special perks such as Gambler (gives a random perk).

Much of this new perks system was teased back in August in a long, Microsoft-produced video about Ghosts multiplayer that was released around the time of the Gamescom conference:

  • ‘Titanfall’ Release Date, Collector’s Edition Announced

One of the most hyped games at this year’s E3 now has a release date. Titanfall will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11, 2014.

Titanfall is the first game from Respawn Entertainment, a studio founded by the former developers of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. The game is fully multiplayer, with no single player campaign. It offers traditional first-person shooting gameplay but augments it with wall-running and jumping abilities, as well as giant mechs called titans that players can enter and use in battle.

“Since we revealed the game in June we’ve been absolutely blown away by the reaction to ‘Titanfall,’” said Vince Zampella, co-founder of Respawn. “The feedback we’re getting from fans around the world is fueling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype.”

In addition to the release date, publisher EA today announced a collector’s edition bundle of Titanfall. The collector’s edition will, of course, come with a statue. This one, however, is a bit more than the ones included in collector’s editions of other games. The statue is an 18″ “hand-crafted” depiction of an Atlas Titan from the game that is part of an entire diorama with LED lighting. Titanfall’s collector’s edition also comes with a 190-page art book and a poster of schematics for the Titan depicted in the diorama.

    Titanfall collector's edition

Pre-orders for the collector’s edition are now available at “select” retailers, and it turns out that nice-looking diorama is quite pricey. Titanfall: Collector’s Edition retails for $250.

  • ‘Alien Rage’ Launch Trailer Blasts Extraterrestrials

Back in July, developer City Interactive Games detailed Alien Rage, a downloadeble shooter for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Along with the description came a cinematic trailer that showed off the game’s setting and art design (a bit Warhammer-ish).

Players take on the role of space warriors trying to claim valuable asteroid minerals while fighting off alien civilizations trying to do the same. According to City Interactive, the game has 14 different levels, 10 “epic” weapons to choose from, and several “mega-sized” bosses. The developer is touting the game as “unforgiving,” with enemy AI that will challenge even seasoned shooter fans.

The release of Alien Rage is now just one day away from release on PC through Steam, and City Interactive has released a launch trailer for the title. Though the first half of the video uses pieces of the announcement cinematic trailer, the second half previews some classic 90s PC-style shooter action:

City Interactive is the polish developer behind the Sniper: Ghost Warrior games. The studio is also behind various PC adventue game series, such as Art of Murder and Chronicles of Mystery. Alien Rage will be coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade sometime in “Autumn 2013.”

  • ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Dynamic Multiplayer Map Previewed in New Video

Earlier this month, Activision and Infinity Ward finally revealed the multiplayer gameplay in the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts. The title will have the yearly team-based shooter action that fans of the series know and love, with a few twists such as leaning, sliding, and dogs.

A month before the gameplay reveal, though, Activision was already announcing multiplayer pre-order bonuses for Ghosts. All pre-orders of the title will come with a downloadable multiplayer map called “Free Fall.” The map is developer Infinity Ward’s take on the dynamically-changing map map concept that EA is heavily touting for Battlefield 4 under the ludicrous banner of “Levolution.”

As described in the new developer preview below, Free Fall will change dramatically from the beginning to the end of a match. Players will square off in a toppled building wedged between two other skyscrapers. The floor of the map is actually made up of the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. At the match goes on, the layout of the map will change, forcing players to adapt.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Apocalypse Gameplay Trailer Released

Though shooter fans are all waiting for the November release of Call of Duty: Ghosts, there’s still fun to be had in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer. Treyarch and Activision today are reminding players of this fact with a new gameplay trailer for Black Ops 2‘s final DLC map pack.

Titled Apocalypse, the DLC comes with four competitive multiplayer maps and one zombie map. The zombie map is particularly noteworthy, as it serves as an homage to the original zombie map in Call of Duty: World at War and features a 1,000-foot tall robot that strides across the map.

Today’s gameplay trailer shows off a bit of gameplay from each new map. Two of them (Takeoff and Dig) can be recognized as re-imagined maps (Stadium and Courtyard) from previous Call of Duty games. The zombies map, titled Origins, is featured in the second half of the video. The map will have what Treyarch is calling a “Dieselpunk” aesthetic, a World War I no-man’s-land setting, mobile platforms, and that giant robot.

  • ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Gets $10 Next-Gen Upgrades

As Sony announced during its Gamescom presentation yesterday, some next-gen launch titles this fall can be purchased for discounts, if current-gen versions of those same games are traded it. Today, Activision revealed that upgrading Call of Duty:Ghosts to next-gen will cost only $10 (£10/10€).

When the PlayStation 4 launches on November 15, gamers who purchased Ghosts on PlayStation 3 will be offered the PlayStation 4 game for $10 for a limited time. For physical copies, gamers can trade in PlayStation 3 copies of Ghosts (which launches on November 5) to Amazon and Gamestop and receive a PlayStation 4 copy of the game for $10. The same goes for Xbox 360 copies of Ghosts when the Xbox One launches sometime in November.

Gamers also don’t have to leave their first few weeks of gameplay behind for upgraded next-gen graphics. Activision has also announced that all in-game progress can be transferred to next-gen versions of Ghosts. In addition, season passes that are purchased for the current-gen version of Ghosts will carry over to next-gen versions.

We have the best fans in the world, and we want to make this transition as seamless and easy for them as possible,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. “And there’s more news to come on that front. Stay tuned.”

  • Battlefield 4 Premium Announced, New Multiplayer Trailer Revealed

Last week, Activision revealed the long-anticipated multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Today at Gamescom, EA countered by releasing even more multiplayer gameplay footage from its own annualized shooter franchise.

The new Battlefield 4 multiplayer trailer shows a massive battle on the shores of an island. The map, titled “Paracel Storm” features naval battles, aerial dogfights, and old-fashioned gunplay on the island’s destructible environment. The map is large enough for 64 players, though EA has not announced whether next-generation consoles will support that number of players.

In addition to the gameplay footage, EA and DICE today announced “Battlefield 4 Premium.” Like Battlefield 3 Premium, the new service is a subscription that gives players early access to new content.

Battlefield 4 Premium subscribers will get two weeks of early access to five newly announced Battlefield 4 expansions – Second Assault, China Rising, Naval Strike, Dragon’s Teeth, and Final Stand. Subscribers also get free access to items such as skins, dogtags, and emblems, which DICE has promised to release more of on a weekly basis.

Premium members also get priority in server queues and will receive 12 “Battlefield 4 Battlepacks.” Battlepacks are new, randomized packs of stuff EA will be offering for sale this fall. The packs can come with items (camo, dog tags, etc.) XP boosts, and gun attachments. The retail price of Battlepacks has not been announced.

  • Call of Duty: Ghosts Collector Editions Revealed

Yesterday, Activision and Infinity Ward finally gave fans of the Call of Duty franchise what they’ve been waiting for – a look at the multiplayer action in the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts. Aside from the inclusion of female soldiers and a few new details, the gameplay looks similar to previous Call of Duty games, which is what fans of the series are looking for.

With the big reveal out of the way, Activision used its Xbox-sponsored announcement to reveal the collector editions it will be offering for Ghosts. Two collector packs will be offered: Hardened Edition and Prestige Edition.

Hardened Edition is the lower-price collection, retailing for $120. It comes with a steelbook case, a (digital) soundtrack, “military-style” parachord strap, a bonus multiplayer map, some in-game insignia extras, and a DLC season pass for Ghosts.

The Prestige Edtion comes with everything in the Hardened Edition, plus one more item – an item expensive enough to kick the price up to a whopping $200. An HD “tactical” camera will come with every Prestige Edition copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts. The camera comes with a memory card, a rechargeable battery, and a few attachments for mounting it in different places, such as a helmet.

A new trailer for the Prestige Edition demonstrates what developers had in mind when including the camera in the pack – two doofuses running around kicking in doors:

  • Call of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer Trailer Teased

Call of Duty: Ghosts has been heavily previewed since its first trailer at Microsoft’s big Xbox One reveal. A long gameplay video from E3 shows an underwater sequence and how the dogs now fit in with campaign gameplay. But that’s not what Call of Duty fans are looking for. As much effort as Infinity Ward may put into their Call of Duty campaigns, gamers are now primarily buying the franchise’s annual updates for competitive multiplayer gameplay.

Activision today released a cryptic trailer for the Call of Duty franchise. The short video highlights worldwide cities, associating them with dates from the next three months. The first date, August 14, is located in Los Angeles. That date is the same as the release date for the already announced multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Yes, it’a a teaser trailer for a trailer – something only the biggest gaming franchises, such as Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty, can do without being ridiculed. Call of Duty fans are passionate enough that even this short video will help to build hype for Ghosts.

  • Rambo: The Video Game On-Rails FPS Announced

Not since the 80s have gamers been able to step into the shoes of the iconic John Rambo. Even then, the 1985 Commodore 64 game Rambo and Rambo for the NES did not inspire the same type of reverence Sylvester Stallone‘s movie character did. Now, with decades of the video game industry filled with the type of stealth and over-the-top shooter experiences that seem perfect for the Rambo character, one publisher is finally taking a chance on the franchise.

Reef Entertainment this week released a first look trailer for the upcoming Rambo: The Video Game. It seems the game will be a “fixed perspective” first-person shooter, meaning it will be on rails similar to arcade games such as The House of the Dead or Area 51. Unfortunately, the visuals seem to match the archaic game design:

The game is based on the first three Rambo movies – First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Rambo III. Reef promises “shoot-outs, stealth killings, demolition, knife-play, and more,” though the trailer doesn’t adequately show how these will fit into gameplay. Regardless of its quality, Rambo: The Video Game will be headed to both consoles and PC sometime this winter.

  • Sci-Fi Shooter ‘Alien Rage’ Coming This Fall

Though gamers are anxiously awaiting the launch of the next generation of home consoles, the current generation will no doubt continue for years. As an example, next-gen titles such as Titanfall and Knack will be launching around the same time current-gen titles such as Grand Theft Auto V. And current-gen titles are still being announced.

City Interactive Games, the developer and publisher of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior games, today released another teaser for its upcoming shooter, Alien Rage. The game is a science fiction first person shooter that takes place on an asteroid in deep space. The asteroid is filled with a valuable resource not-so-subtly named “promethium.” CI games’ announcement stated that it will be up to gamers to “prevent the universe’s prize of promethium from falling into the wrong hands” by “taking down everything that comes in their way.”

Alien Rage will be a downloadable title for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and PC. The game will feature 14 levels and 10 “epic weapons” that have two firing modes each. There are also “mega-sized” bosses. CI is pushing that game as a “challenging” shooter with “unforgiving enemy AI” in the tradition of 90s-era shooters.

  • Halo 4 “Global Championship” Announced, $200K Grand Prize

Mocrosoft today announced a global Halo 4 tournament will take place this summer. The Halo 4 “Global Championship” is sponsored by 343 Industries in cooperation with Virgin Gaming. Microsoft stated that nearly $500,000 worth of prizes is up for grabs, including a $200,000 grand prize.

The tournament will consist of five weeks of competition on Xbox Live. Halo fans can register at the Halo 4 Global Championship webiste to participate in the tournament. Starting July 15, a custom tournament playlist will appear in Halo 4, playable by those who have registered. The playlist will have different free-for-all modes each week for five weeks. Players who top global leaderboards will then get the chance to attend the tournament finals in Seattle, Washington on August 31 and September 1.

To qualify for the finals, players will have to compete in at least 20 of the playlist matches per week, which also qualifies them for weekly prizes such as Xbox 360 games or avatar items. The top four players on the leaderboard each week will qualify for the finals, where the top eight players after elimination matches will receive money.

Players can also qualify in the tournament by attending live competitions at the Rooster Teeth Expo in Austin, Texas from July 5 to 7, and at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from August 21 to 25. Six finalists will be taken from each of the live competitions and 20 more will qualify from Xbox Live play. Each finalist receives an “expenses paid” trip to Seattle for the finals.

  • Rise Of The Triad Reboot Launches July 31

Apogee Software may not be a household name to many modern gamers, but PC gamers from the early 90s will remember the developer as being responsible for games like Rise of the Triad and the original Duke Nukem Trilogy. The former will finally be getting the reboot it deserves later this month.

Rise of the Triad is a first-person shooter from a different era. An era take didn’t take itself too seriously with violence that would seem extreme even by today’s standards. The reboot being made by Interceptor Entertainment is a reboot/remake of sorts that retains all the insane, goofy violence of the original while giving it all the graphical flourishes of modern games. Check it out for yourself:

If you preorder the game, Apogee will give you the Apogee Throwback Pack for free. The four game collection includes Rise of the Triad: Dark War, Extreme Rise of the Triad, Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, and Blake Stone: Planet Strike. While old, these four games will give you a good idea of what the golden age of first-person shooters was like before everything involved the military and brothers in arms. Sometimes you just need to blow up some dudes, and Rise of the Triad will be bringing that back.

Rise of the Triad will be on July 31 exclusively for the PC.

  • Call of Duty: Ghosts Bonus Pre-Order Map Announced

With the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map pack coming this week, Activision is now turning its attention to enticing Call of Duty fans to pre-order the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts. The publisher today announced the first of what are sure to be several pre-order-related bonus offers.

Gamers who pre-order Ghosts will receive a free bonus map called “Free Fall.” The map is set in a ruined skyscraper and features what Activision is calling “dynamic” map events. For example, “shockwaves” from the crumbling building will change the layout of the map during a match.

“Dynamic map events change the way players approach the game, and Free Fall does a great job illustrating this new mechanic,” said Mark Rubin, executive producer at Infinity Ward. “As the match progresses, the geometry of the world continues to change and players need to adjust on the fly or else. It’s a really fun new feature that adds layers of strategy and constantly evolving gameplay options for players. And this is just one of the many new approaches we’re putting into Ghosts’ multiplayer across the board. There’s so much more that we look forward to sharing in the weeks to come.”

Though Infinity Ward must have been developing Free Fall for quite some time now, it feels a bit like the developer is trying to provide a counterpoint to Battlefield 4‘s impressive E3 showing. The Battlefield 4 game footage shown at the game conference showed off an action-packed sequence aboard a sinking aircraft carrier, while E3 gameplay footage of Ghosts (seen below) showed a relatively straightforward shooter experience with the added bonus of a dog companion. In addition, EA and DICE are now touting what they call “levolution,” which just means that some multiplayer maps will change as certain conditions are met (lights going out when the power is cut, for example) or when objects are destroyed (such as an entire skyscraper, with players inside)

  • New Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC Trailer Features The Replacers

The next Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map pack DLC is out next month, and Activision has followed through with yet another live-action “Replacers” trailer for the content. Actors Peter Stormare (nihilist Karl Hungus from The Big Lebowski) and J.B. Smoove (Leon Black from Curb Your Enthusiasm) star as professionals who replace gamers who want a little more time to play Call of Duty.

The new trailer is for the Vengeance map pack. The content’s July 2 release date was announced one week ago along with another trailer showing off the new maps. Today’s trailer takes a more gameplay-centered approach, showing off various multiplayer experiences that Treyarch envisions players having on the new maps.

The new zombie mode map, Buried, is particularly featured. The map is an old west-style ghost town that is located underground. Players will also get a new “Ray Gun Mark II” to vaporize zombies with.
