  • Paula Patton Left Robin Thicke Following Drug and Alcohol Issues, Plagiarism

Paula Patton left Robin Thicke right around February of last year. Now Thicke has admitted that she left him because he was in the throes of drug addiction and alcoholism. The singer admitted recently to the Hollywood Reporter that he didn’t do one interview last year while not high, and that he also didn’t help write his 2013 hit ‘Blurred Lines.’

The children of the late Marvin Gaye filed a lawsuit against the ‘Feel Good’ singer, Pharrell Williams, and Atlanta-based rapper T.I., claiming that they plagiarized at least parts of Marvin Gaye’s 1977 hit ‘Got to Give It Up.’ When the lawsuit was first filed, Robin Thicke insisted there had been no wrongdoing, but now has changed his stance.

“I was high on Vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio. So my recollection is when we made the song, I thought I wanted–I–I wanted to be more involved than I actually was by the time, nine months later, it became a huge hit and I wanted credit,” he said in a deposition in April.

“So I started kind of convincing myself that I was a little more part of it than I was and I–because I didn’t want him–I wanted some credit for this big hit. But the reality is, is that Pharrell had the beat and he wrote almost every single part of the song,” he added.

In this same deposition, Robin Thicke admits why Paula Patton left him.

“I told my wife the truth. That’s why she left me,” he said .”When your wife leaves you, it gives you good reason to sober up.”

Robin Thicke released his follow up album, called ‘Paula,’ dedicated to Paula Patton, in an effort to win his wife back. It doesn’t seem as though he’s had success thus far.

Do you think Paula Patton will eventually take Robin Thicke back if he remains clean and sober or has he done too much damage to salvage their marriage?

  • Matt Kemp Gives Terminally Ill Fan A Day To Remember

Matt Kemp must be one of the nicest professional athletes in existence. Earlier this month, he gave $250,000 to tornado victims in Oklahoma. Over the weekend, he flew a terminally ill fan out to see the Dodgers play on their home turf.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Kemp and his fan, Joshua Jones, 19, have met. During a baseball game three weeks ago, Jones’ father asked if Kemp could come over to say hi to his son. Jones got all that and more. In fact, Kemp gave Jones his jersey, cleats and hat.

Cut back to this past weekend. Kemp flew Jones and his family out to Dodgers Stadium to see him play. He also introduced Jones to Dodgers president Stan Kasten, Angels player Mike Trout and fellow Dodgers player Clayton Kershaw. The team’s official Twitter feed captured a few moments with Jones at the game, including his meeting with Kershaw:

To put icing on the cake, the Dodgers won their game 8-7. It was undoubtedly the perfect ending to a great night for Jones.

  • Free Burgers For Life: Cleveland Kidnapping Hero Charles Ramsey Gets His Own “Chuck Card”

You remember Charles Ramsey, right? He’s the normal guy turned hero after he helped rescue Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, all of whom were being held prisoner on Cleveland, Ohio’s West Side. Out of that nightmare of a story, Ramsey was one bright spot – a genuine, unassuming, utterly hilarious hero with a love for McDonald’s.

Now, it looks like some local Cleveland establishments are looking to say thanks to Ramsey – in a great, big, juicy way.

According to The Cleveland Plain Dealer, about a dozen restaurants have partnered to give Ramsey free burgers for life. This includes AMP 150 at the Marriott Cleveland Airport; Washington Place Bistro and Inn in Little Italy; Fahrenheit restaurant in Tremont; Market Garden Brewery, Bier Markt, Bar Cento and Nano Brew in Ohio City; Welshfield Inn in Troy Township; Hodges and Pura Vida in downtown Cleveland; 87 West at Crocker Park in Westlake; Orchard House restaurant in Brunswick; Flour restaurant in Moreland Hills, and the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg, Pennsylvania.

“We want to honor our local hero with local food,” said Scott Kuhn, who runs a few of the eateries involved in the gift. “He stopped his meal midway through to help those women. We’re now making sure he has other opportunities to go out and fully enjoy his burger.”

Ramsey will be gifted with the only “Chuck Card,” which will entitled him to at least a free burger in all participating restaurants.

He sure wasn’t shy about his love of burgers. Remember this classic line?

“I’m eating my McDonald’s; I come outside; I see this girl going nuts,” he said, “…I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway!”

Oh Charles. We hope you enjoy your burgers. We really do.
