  • Twitter Users Poke Fun At Siri, Latest Feature Announcement

Many features were announced for the iPhone 4S: 1080p video recording, iCloud, and a faster processor. However, there’s one feature which looks to be the most captivating and hilarious. It’s Siri. While keeping up with Twitter traffic, there was a good amount of influx regarding the iPhone during the 4S announced. Once Siri was announced, the flood gates opened.

Siri is a “personal assistant” for your iPhone 4S, and is completely accessed through voice recognition. According to Apple during their keynote, you can ask Siri just about anything and receive an answer. Here’s the AI explaining what she is:

    User: Siri, what are you?

Siri: I am a humble personal assistant

The idea of asking Siri questions has led to entertaining tweets, such as:

Siri, which seat should Rebecca Black take? 3 minutes ago via TweetDeck · powered by @socialditto

Siri, do you like movies about gladiators? 6 minutes ago via TweetDeck · powered by @socialditto

Siri: Where is the iPhone 5? 33 minutes ago via Seesmic · powered by @socialditto

I wonder how many babies will be named Siri today. (Is that a weird thought?) 6 minutes ago via Twitter for Mac · powered by @socialditto

Do you believe in life after love? #siri 6 minutes ago via HootSuite · powered by @socialditto

Along with the tweets poking fun at Siri, many have been questioning whether or not Siri is a strong enough headline feature to purchase an iPhone 4S. As with all announcements of this magnitude, many have been cheering for Siri and will buy the new handset on release date. Others are skeptical of the feature and question how it will work in noisy locations, and just how useful it will be.

    MySpace Redesigns Profile Pages

MySpace has long been criticized for poor design and as part of a turnaround effort, the struggling social networker has finally done something about it.  The new profiles are not available throughout the site, but Sean Percival, MySpace’s VP of Online Marketing, tweeted about his own "clean new" profile early on Friday.

“We’re testing a new look and feel of our site among users and the response so far has been positive,” according to a MySpace spokesperson. ”As always, we’re interested in hearing feedback from our community as we roll out enhancements to the user experience and look forward to sharing more details with you in the coming weeks.”

    The new profile pages feature:

    • Condensed navigation menu in the upper left corner under the profile picture.
    • MySpace Stream  – a take on the Facebook News Feed. You can see the user’s recent activity, add comments and share with friends.
    • Other social networks: Follow users not just on MySpace but also Twitter, Facebook and other social networks.
