  • Elizabeth Taylor Caught In Sex Act At Age 14 With Mickey Rooney, Details In New Biography

A scandal between film legends Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney is revealed in his latest biography, The Life and Times of Mickey Rooney.

According to the book’s authors, Richard A. Lertzman and William J. Birnes, the 20-something-year-old Rooney had an affair with then 14-year-old Taylor while he was married to his second wife, Betty Jane.

According to Pam McClenathan, friend and caregiver of Jane, Jane caught Taylor and Rooney red-handed engaged in a sexual act when she went to surprise him at the Hollywood film studios in Los Angeles during filming of National Velvet.

“Betty Jane… told me she went to visit Mickey at [an L.A. film studio] around June 1946. She had [the couple’s first son] Mickey, Jr. in tow and was pregnant with [second son] Timmy… When she opened the door to the dressing room, Elizabeth Taylor was on her knees giving Mickey a b*** **b.”

McClenathan said that after Jane saw Taylor and Rooney in the said position she filed for a divorce in which she got a big settlement.

“She got a top attorney and big settlement, but she really was not happy after that. She wanted a faithful husband.” Reportedly, Jane had asked to be paid $15,000 per year for 15 years, plus $12,000 in medical and legal costs. But she also got $25,000 cash settlement after her attorney had claimed that Rooney was fraudulently “hiding his real income and assets.”

In 1947, Jane filed for divorce citing mental cruelty. Rooney also admitted in Life is Too Short, that he treated their marriage in an “old-fashioned, male chauvinist pig solution: I kept Betty Jane home, barefoot and pregnant, literally.”

In 1949, Rooney and Jane were divorced, and eight days later Jane married Buddy Baker.

Meanwhile, Rooney had six other marriages that followed, rivaling Taylor’s seven.

  • Mickey Rooney Engaged in Extra-Marital Affair With 14-Year-Old Elizabeth Taylor

Mickey Rooney got around. The actor was not only married eight times in his 93 years, he engaged in extra-marital affairs as well. One such affair was with Elizabeth Taylor when she was just 14 years old.

A new book about Mickey, aptly titled The Life and Times of Mickey Rooney by Richard A. Lertzman and William J. Birnes will be released on October 20th. It details a report that Pam McClenathan, a friend and caregiver of Mickey Rooney’s second wife, Betty Jane, shared.

“Betty Jane . . . told me she went to visit Mickey at [an LA film studio] around June 1946. She had [the couple’s first son] Mickey Jr. in tow and was pregnant with [second son] Timmy . . . When she opened the door to the dressing room, Elizabeth Taylor was on her knees giving Mickey a b - - w job,” she told Lertzman and Birnes.

Mickey Rooney and Elizabeth Taylor starred in National Velvet at the time. McClenathan went on to tell the authors that Betty Jane later “got a top attorney and big settlement, but [she] really was not happy after that. She wanted a faithful husband.”

Betty Jane Rooney was a backup singer for music greats including Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Sam Cooke. Following her divorce from Mickey Rooney, she wed composer Buddy Baker.

When Mickey Rooney died last year he said of Betty Jane, “We just weren’t compatibly compatible.”

A rep for the late actor claims to have no knowledge of his affair with Elizabeth Taylor. It’s uncertain if reps for the late Taylor were contacted regarding the matter.

National Velvet set Elizabeth Taylor on a one-way track to stardom. Who knew what she may have actually paid as a price to become such a star?

  • Tippi Hedren Mourns Passing of ‘The Birds’ Costar Rod Taylor

Tippi Hedren starred in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film The Birds alongside critically acclaimed actor Rod Taylor. Taylor died on Wednesday evening of a heart attack. He was 84.

In addition to The Birds, Rod Taylor starred in more than 50 Hollywood films throughout his career. In addition to starring with Tippi Hedren, he appeared on the big screen opposite a number of other Hollywood icons, including Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and Jane Fonda.

In a statement to People magazine, Tippi Hedren made it quite clear that Rod Taylor was more than just a costar. He was her dear friend.

“There are so many incredible feelings I have for him. Rod was a great pal to me and a real strength, we were very, very good friends,” Hedren, who is 84, said.

“He was one of the most fun people I have ever met, thoughtful and classy, there was everything good in that man,” she added.

Rod Taylor’s family is mourning their loss. He was married to wife Carol for 35 years. He is also survived by his daughter Felicia.

“My dad loved his work. Being an actor was his passion–calling it an honorable art and something he couldn’t live without,” she told People. “He once said, ‘I am a poor student sitting at the feet of giants, yearning for their wisdom and begging for lessons that might one day make me a complete artist, so that if all goes well, I may one day sit beside them.’”

Tippi Hedren, the mother of actress Melanie Griffith, is no doubt just one of many in Hollywood who join Rod Taylor’s family in mourning his passing.

  • Colin Farrell Talks About His Relationship With Liz Taylor

Colin Farrell may be a hunky Irish actor who leaves girls swooning, but he has a deeper side that not many people know about. The 37-year old actor spoke candidly recently about a relationship he had with a beautiful actress that wasn’t about anything physical, but rather about a connection and friendship.

Farrell told Ellen DeGeneres recently that he was at Cedars Sinai in 2009 for the birth of his son Henry when he met Elizabeth Taylor’s manager, Tim Mendelsohn. He didn’t have the chance to meet the iconic actress then, because she was ill and was having heart surgery, but he asked Mendelsohn to give her his best. Soon after, he decided to send flowers, only to receive some from Taylor herself. A week after that, the two arranged a meeting.

“And that was the beginning of a year and a half or two years of what was a really cool [relationship]. It was kind of like the last — it feels like in my head, not hers, I’m projecting — but the last kind of romantic relationship I had. It was really cool, and she wasn’t much of a sleeper at night, like I’m not, so at two o’clock in the morning, I’d call her. I’d call her at two in the morning, and the nurse would answer the phone, and I’d say, ‘Is she awake?’… And then I’d be on the phone and I’d hear, ‘Hello?’ And I’d go, ‘How’s it going?’ And we’d talk for a half an hour, an hour, into the wee hours. I just adored her. She was a spectacular, spectacular woman. I wanted to be [husband] number eight, but we ran out of road.”

Sadly, Taylor died in 2011 at the age of 79. After getting her start in Hollywood as a child, she went on to portray some of the most memorable characters on film and won the Academy Award for Best actress for “Butterfield 8”.

  • Lindsay Lohan Experiences Wardrobe Malfunction

Lindsay Lohan, the troubled actress who recently drove her expensive car into the back of an 18-wheeler, recently had a bit of a “wardrobe malfunction” on the set of her latest cinematic endeavor, “Liz & Dick”. The biopic tells the story of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, the former of whom will be portrayed by Lohan. The last thing we want is confusion over which character the “Mean Girls” star will be tackling.

During a scene which involved Lohan’s on-screen husband Grant Bowler violently pulling her around a yacht, the actress suddenly popped out of her sundress, giving the cast and crew a good look at her famous wobbly bits. Lohan, ever the trooper, finished the scene with her nipple exposed, though she quickly retreated behind closed doors to adjust herself. She later emerged with her chest properly covered, apparently amused by the whole ordeal.

“Liz & Dick”, which is tentatively scheduled to appear on the Lifetime network this November, is Lohan’s first foray into filmed entertainment since the 2010 over-the-top action flick “Machete”, a film in which she had a small role. Her last starring role came in the form of Lara Shapiro’s 2009 comedy “Labor Pains”, which wasn’t favorably received.

Lohan, meanwhile, is pretty jazzed about the opportunity to portray one of her icons on-screen. “I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor,” she explained. “She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well.”

  • Lindsay Lohan To Play Liz Taylor; Twitter Reacts

Actress Lindsay Lohan has become more well-known for her arrests, nightclub shenanigans, and changing looks than she is for her thespian skills. But apparently there are still directors who are eager to secure her for their films, despite rumors that she is notoriously hard to work with, and her next starring role is set to begin filming as early as June. Lohan will be playing Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime Original Movie Liz And Dick.

“I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor,” Lohan said in a statement. “She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

The film will focus on the rocky marriage, divorce, and remarriage of Taylor to co-star Richard Burton, whom she met while filming Cleopatra.

Some say intense media scrutiny of Lohan is partly to blame for her bad reputation, but it’s clear that no matter what the reason, people have something to say about her portrayal of a beloved film icon.
