  • Eliza Dushku’s New Character Similar To “Buffy” Role

Eliza Dushku can certainly play tough and sexy well; she did it successfully on shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Dollhouse. Now, she’s reportedly joining Cinemax’s Banshee as an FBI agent battling demons of her own in a small town with an ex-con sheriff.

Dushku will be joining the show for the fourth season to help the sheriff, Lucas Hood, track down a serial killer. The show has been touted as having some of the best fight choreography scenes on television, which Dushku is familiar with. As ass-kicking slayer Faith on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she had to beat someone up in just about every scene she was in, which was just fine with fans. And according to Screen Rant, Dushku’s character might bring up questions about even more secrets within the town, especially when it comes to the past of the outsider sheriff.

The end of Banshee Season 3 left fans with a lot of questions and played around with the idea of identities and the difference between who you say you are, and who you actually are. The addition of Dushku’s Dawson – an Agent with “personal demons” who teams up with Hood – suggests her character could bring up even more questions of identity and secrets for our main cast. Whether or not they’re questions that lead to positive outcomes – that will just have to wait to be seen.

Dushku made headlines last year when she announced on Twitter that, while checking in to her hotel during a comic convention, she was robbed by two men wearing costumes. The men took her Louis Vuitton duffel bag, but police later tracked them down and returned Eliza’s property to her.

“Update:men found in hotel, w/my luggage, apprehended & spending wknd in jail until+. U guys helped this happen. I am VERY grateful. C u soon,” Dushku wrote.

  • Eliza Dushku Tweets to Catch Thieves, Find Louis Vuitton Bag

Sadly, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku became the victim of a robbery over the weekend.

Dushku frantically tweeted about her Louis Vuitton bag, a present from Sharon Osbourne, being stolen. While checking into the Omni hotel in Rhode Island, the robbery occurred. Dushku was in Providence as a featured artist at the Rhode Island Comic Con.

Early on Saturday, November 1st, she began tweeting about the incident. Dushku revealed that the police and security couldn’t help. She asked her Twitter followers to assist in finding the men.

Dushku tweeted details about the robbers, including information about their costumes. One man was reportedly wearing a golden gladiator one. Dushku also tweeted about suspecting that the men were still lurking around the hotel.

The police found the bag about five hours later. The surveillance footage helped lead the authorities to the bag in a hotel room. According to People Magazine, Rhode Island police arrested 27-year-old Scott Pryor and were searching for 30-year-old Jamie Lange.

  • Eliza Dushku Robbed In Rhode Island At Comic Con

Eliza Dushku was robbed over the weekend in Rhode Island.

The actress, best known for playing Faith Lehane on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was checking into the Omni hotel in Providence, Rhode Island when two men dressed in costumes stole her Louis Vuitton duffel bag.

Dushky, obviously upset, live tweeted the entire incident, begging for help from the hotel in finding her luggage and the men who robbed her.

“Was just robbed in front of my hotel a few hrs ago,” she wrote. “Cameras caught everything:hotel/police/security weren’t able to do anything. #ricomiccon.”

“They were, of course, wearing Halloween costumes. One of the guys wore a GOLD HEAD TO TOE “Ceasar” outfit. Anyone in RI, ring a bell.? Help,” she continued. “Please, @OmniHotels, these 2 men are guests here in the building & on your cameras robbing me. Help me find them & apprehend.”

Eliza was further distressed by the fact that the men were possibly staying in the same hotel, and the bag had been a gift from Sharon Osbourne. Luckily, the thieves were later found and apprehended and Eliza’s bag was returned to her.

“Update:men found in hotel, w/my luggage, apprehended & spending wknd in jail until+. U guys helped this happen. I am VERY grateful. C u soon,” Dushku wrote.

  • Eliza Dushku Allegedly Robbed on Halloween, Tweets the Whole Ordeal

Eliza Dushku was apparently tricked in a big way on Halloween when she was robbed Friday at the Omni Hotel where she was staying for the Rhode Island Comic Con.

The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress tweeted about the whole ordeal as it unfolded.

“Was just robbed in front of my hotel a few hrs ago. Cameras caught everything:hotel/police/security weren’t able to do anything. #ricomiccon,” the 33-year-old tweeted Friday.

Dushku continued to update her 1.6 million Twitter followers on the events of the evening. According to her tweets, the stolen Louis Vuitton duffle bag was not just any old designer bag.

“If you see anyone walk out of hotel w this Duffle bag, it was a gift from @MrsSOsbourne ON her show in ’04. It’s been around the world w me,” she explained.

“Really upset. It’s been a long night. The 2 men are in my hotel currently & ‘nothing can be done,’” she wrote. “They were, of course, wearing Halloween costumes. One of the guys wore a GOLD HEAD TO TOE ‘Ceasar’ outfit. Anyone in RI, ring a bell.? Help.”

The drama ended well after the thieves were identified and Dushku‘s duffle bag was returned.

Dushku shared a selfie at the hotel in her Halloween costume to prove the legitimacy of the tweets.

Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox Have Split

Eliza Dushku has ended her five-year relationship with boyfriend Rick Fox, a retired NBA player, and moved back to her hometown of Boston.

“Rick’s an LA guy and I’m a Boston girl,” Dushku said of the split.

“I missed my town and I missed my family.”

Dushku has purchased a condo near her childhood home in Watertown. Regarding the fact that her new abode has a basement, the 33-year-old actress said that nobody “in LA has a basement … They all have the obligatory storage spaces in the Valley.”

The move back to Boston marks the end of a 22-year stay in Los Angeles for Dushku.

She broke into acting with a role opposite C. Thomas Howell and Juliette Lewis in the 1992 adaptation of Alice McDermott’s novel That Night.

From there she gained notoriety for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1998-2003) and Dollhouse (2009-2010.)

Over the course of her career, Dushku has starred opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest names, such as Halle Berry (Race the Sun,) Leonardo DiCaprio (This Boy’s Life,) and Robert De Niro (City by the Sea and This Boy’s Life.)

Although she’s not closing the door on acting and producing, Dushku says it’s time for some changes, including attending university in the fall.

“I’ve been talking about it for 15 years. It’s a whole new trajectory for me that makes me really happy.”

Dushku and her brother Nate, also an actor, will continue working on a biopic of artist Robert Mapplethorpe with the production company Dushku started when she was just 17-years-old, Boston Divas.

Dushku, who calls herself a “proud Albanian-Danish American,” will also continue her work as an honorary Albanian Ambassador and with various charities, including the Trauma Healing and Reflection Center in Gulu, Uganda (THRIVEGulu) founded by her mother Judy Dushku, an activist, college professor, and world traveler.

“… I have a new life right now. I’m on kind of a different path for the time being,” Dushku said of the recent changes she’s made. “I’d rather be physically cold than emotionally stagnant. I just sort of come alive when I’m home.”

  • Eliza Dushku, Rick Fox Call it Quits

Eliza Dushku, Rick Fox Call it Quits

Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox have decided to part ways.

According to Access Hollywood, the couple has had an ongoing disagreement about their permanent residency, because they desire to live on opposite ends of the country.

Not surprisingly, the former Los Angeles Laker loves the west coast, but the Bring it On star has a deep affirmation for her home town, Boston.

The never-ending battle is reportedly the reason for their ultimate decision to break up.

During a recent interview with The Boston Globe, Dushku opened up about their differences. “Rick’s an L.A. guy and I’m a Boston girl,” Dushku explained.

The 33-year-old actress also gave a quick comparison of the notable differences between the two cities. “Nobody in LA has a basement,” she said. “They all have the obligatory storage spaces in the Valley.”

Dushku also revealed that she has plans to return to school once she’s settled back in Massachusetts. She went on to explain why she’d rather lay down roots in Boston as opposed to L.A. “I’d rather be a little physically cold here than emotionally cold in L.A.,” she said. “I missed my town and I missed my family.”

In the latest issue of the Improper Bostonian, the Wrong Turn actress expressed her desire for change. She’s reportedly embracing the new direction of her life.

“After living in Los Angeles for 15 years, I definitely grew out of being an L.A. hater, but I think there’s a level of truthfulness and individuality here that is refreshing in a business where everyone conforms to certain standards,” the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star told the publication. “I just sort of come alive when I’m home,” she explained.

On Tuesday, June 24, the 44-year-old former NBA star and actor stopped by The View where he also confirmed the split. “I’m single,” Fox said.

  • Eliza Dushku Splits with Rick Fox, Moves to Boston

Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox have called it quits after a five-year relationship.

The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star and the retired NBA player have decided it’s time to go their separate ways, prompting Dushku to move back to her hometown of Boston.

“Rick’s an L.A. guy and I’m a Boston girl,” she told The Boston Globe.

Dushku, 33, told The Globe that she recently bought a condo near Watertown and is planning to go back to begin her studies towards a bachelor’s degree.

“It helps me navigate the stories that I want to tell in areas that are interesting to me,” she told The Los Angeles Times.

Dushku said she’s looking forward to living on the East Coast after 22 years in L.A.

“I’d rather be a little physically cold here than emotionally cold in L.A.,” she said. “I missed my town and my family.”

Duskhu said she plans to focus her studies on psychological and sociological behavior, knowing that it will be useful to her as a director and actress.

“I’m actually looking to go back to school,” she told the Los Angeles Times‘ Hero Complex in March. “One of the areas that’s so interesting to me — and obviously it played out in the show ‘Dollhouse’ — are these deep crevasses of our brains and our emotions that make us tick, and what those combinations and variables are that are looked at in projects like [‘Gable 5’] and projects like ‘Dollhouse.’”

Although her education is her primary focus for the near future, the Dollhouse actress does not plan on completely foregoing acting.

“I have a new life right now,” said Dushku. “I’m on kind of a different path for the time being.”

Could it be that differing opinions on fashion could be a factor in their split?

In 2010, Dushku said living with the basketball pro opened her eyes to his lack of fashion sense.

“I never believed he was a bad dresser” until they moved in together, she said. “We’re in the middle of moving the clothes. The clothes were at one place and he kind of had to pick from the surviving things that he didn’t bring to the house.”

Dushku began dating Fox, 44, in 2009 and they moved in together in 2010. He was previously married to Vanessa Williams, with whom he has a daughter. He also has a son from a previous relationship.
