  • David Letterman: Bill Murray Will Be ‘Late Show’ Host’s Final Guest

David Letterman will bid adieu to late night TV on Wednesday, May 20th, when he hangs up his hat on CBS’s Late Show. He will host his final guest the night before–May 19th–and it is the same person he hosted as his first guest 33 years ago.

Bill Murray was David Letterman’s first guest and will soon be his last. He has appeared on Light Night and The Late Show 43 times in 33 years.

During his first visit with David Letterman, Bill Murray said, “You got out of Indianapolis and didn’t look back. I’m just waiting for the other shoe to fall on you, man, and I want to be there when it hits the floor! I had a chance to strangle Richard Nixon and I didn’t—and I regret it!”

Check out the first time Bill Murray was a guest on David Letterman’s show.

Tom Hanks and singer Eddie Vedder will appear on The Late Show to wish David Letterman well on Monday.

This Sunday, David Letterman will chat with Jane Pauley on CBS Sunday Morning. It is his only scheduled TV interview before hosting The Late Show for the final time.

Are you finding it hard to believe that David Letterman is leaving late night TV next week? Despite the fabulous guests the talk show host will chat with, the coming days will be bittersweet for fans.

Will you be checking out David Letterman as he chats with Tom Hanks on Monday, Bill Murray on Tuesday, and appears on his final show on Wednesday?

CBS says the final show “will be an hour filled with surprises [and] memorable highlights.”

David Letterman has made lots of memories over the past 33 years–for himself, his guests, and for his fans.

    Thanks for those memories, Dave.

  • Eddie Vedder Parodied By Adam Levine

Eddie Vedder Parodied By Adam Levine

Eddie Vedder could easily take a hiatus from Pearl Jam, put his feet up, and let Adam Levine fill in for a bit.

This is what we found out when Jimmy Fallon challenged Levine to one of his kooky games called “Wheel of Musical Impressions”.

Of course, in true Jimmy Fallon style, there was a hilarious twist on his challenge.

They impersonated famous musicians like Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra, both of which were completely spot on, and they did this with children’s songs. The very best, in my humble opinion, was his Eddie Vedder impression.

If you haven’t seen this yet, you must. If you have, you must watch it again!

It must have been difficult for Adam Levine to iron his high-pitched wail into a gritty Eddie Vedder, but he sure didn’t look like he was struggling. I had no idea that Adam Levine was so talented! But apparently, he isn’t new to doing impressions on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

It’s not like he knocked Jimmy Fallon off of the King of Impressions throne or anything, but it’s pretty impressive. So impressive that the video has traveled around social media and back again clogging the feeds of many.

This is great news for Levine! At least, God forbid, if Adam Levine’s fame runs out, he could always hit up the washed out comedy clubs around the city and do impressions!

This just might be a new favorite game on The Tonight Show!

How did Eddie Vedder respond to his parody? I don’t know. He doesn’t say much. If you’ve heard, let us know!

  • Pearl Jam Makes It to Number 1 For The 5th Time

Pearl Jam has many reasons to celebrate. First, band members recently shared news about the 23rd anniversary for their first gig, which is no small feat in the rock world. The band is composed of uniquely-talented musicians all hailing from different areas of the United States, and includes Eddie Vedder (born in Evanston, Illinois), Mike McCready (from Pensacola, Florida), Jeff Ament (from Havre, Montana), Matt Cameron (born in San Diego, California), and Stone Gossard (born in Seattle, Washington).

The talented band dominated the 90’s, (which isn’t surprising) – however, the band still dominates the charts today, a testament to the talents of the continually-recognized band members.

Billboard has reported that the band’s newest masterpiece, Lightning Bolt, is the Number 1 album on the Billboard 200, which means that Pearl Jam is now credited with five Number 1 albums. The other four Number 1 albums were from as far back as the early 90’s and into this millennium; Backspacer (2009), No Code (1996), Vitalogy (1994), and Vs. (1993). Pearl Jam is also noted with four Number 2 albums; Ten (1992), Yield (1998), Binaural (2000) and Pearl Jam (2006). Nielsen SoundScan reported that the band has sold 166,000 copies during the first week.

Lightning Bolt was first released on October 15, 2013, and contains the following 12 tracks: Getaway, Mind Your Manners, My Father’s Son, Sirens, Lightning Bolt, Infallible, Pendulum, Swallowed Whole, Let the Records Play, Sleeping By Myself, Yellow Moon, and Future Days.

Producing chart-topping hits is only a part of the band’s contributions where members have also publicly spoken about having a social conscience as well.
