  • Gabrielle Union Pens Emotionally Raw Open Letter Fighting Against Nude Photo Leak

Gabrielle Union is still reeling after nude photos of the Being Mary Jane actress were stolen from the iCloud and leaked through social media in September.

Union is so upset over the incident that she penned an open letter to Cosmopolitan magazine, in which she compares the experience to being raped.

Union was very frank in her letter and described her disgust over the theft of her private photos and how it nearly ruined the her wedding and honeymoon with NBA great Dwyane Wade.

“My honeymoon was plagued by thoughts of when I would get hit. It was always in the back of my mind: Will today be the day my life gets ruined? I thought about my family and everyone the scandal would affect — my mom, who teaches classes about Catholicism to kids, and the three boys I had become a stepmother to when I married Dwyane. My husband, meanwhile, would always have to wonder who had seen intimate photos of me that only he was supposed to see,” wrote Union.

Union lamented the fact that, even though she and her new husband had deleted some of the photos, they were still recovered from the iCloud.

“I wondered how a photo that was shot and deleted three years ago could be found. Sure enough, later that night, more pictures started popping up, one after another. All of them had been shot and deleted years ago. Yet there they were, online for the world to see. I felt extreme anxiety, a complete loss of control. I suddenly understood that deleting things means nothing. You think it’s gone? It’s not. What is the point of even including a delete function on a phone if it doesn’t really delete? I had deleted the photos from my phone, but apparently they had remained on some server somewhere, unbeknownst to me, where hackers could find them,” she wrote.

“I called my reps and attorneys, pleading, ‘Get the photos taken down.’ They said it takes time — the shots were spreading fast, to some 50 sites within the first few hours. Nude pictures of other celebrities were appearing in this second wave too, including Rihanna and a new round of Jennifer Lawrence shots. I thought, this is a targeted attack, a hate crime against women. Photos of my friend Meagan Good showed up as well, and that really hurt — she’s like my little sister. We had become close while filming Deliver Us From Eva. She’s married to a pastor. I wanted to protect her from the inevitable character assassination. She was the target of a crime and did not deserve to be attacked,” wrote Union.

Union wrote that something like this is a life-changing event, much like her experience of being raped in college.

“I am adjusting to my new reality. Everything feels tainted. On Instagram, people tell me they’ve seen me naked. Walking into my favorite pizza place, I wonder who has seen the photos and what they are thinking. It’s part of daily life now. Some people have told me, ‘On the bright side, you look amazing in the photos.’ I know they mean well, but this is a criminal act, a gross violation. It reminds me of the time someone asked me if my rapist was ‘cute.’ That kind of misguided thinking lessens the severity of the crime and the horror of the experience.”

Union offered hope and encouragement to others who feel betrayed and hurt, no matter the circumstances.

“Here’s the way I choose to look at it: Bad things happen to people every day. It’s what we do with them that counts. If someone betrays your trust, such as a former boyfriend who posts photos of you online, you might feel like you’re alone on an island. You’re not. Talk to people who care for you. Just keep going. Whatever your dreams were before, they still remain. You might feel like nothing will ever be the same. And that’s true — nothing will be the same. Take that and change things,” encouraged Union.

  • Gabrielle Union Threatens To Contact FBI Over Leaked Nude Photos

Gabrielle Union will be contacting the FBI to deal with topless photos of her that were leaked on the net.

After confirming that the said photos were authentic, the The Bring It On actress and husband Dwyane Wade released a statement together, reports TMZ:

“It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures,” read the statement.

“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.”

“For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes – We send our love, support and prayers.  We have done nothing wrong.”

Union is only one of a number of celebrities who have fallen victim to a hacking attack that targets celebs’ private photos that are reportedly traded for bitcoins. It is now suspected that naked images of about a hundred actors, singers, models and presenters have been leaked, including those of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande and Mary Winstead.

Grande and a few other stars have claimed that the pictures are fakes. Like Union, Lawrence verified the the photos of her were authentic.

A spokesperson for Lawrence said: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Winstead has likewise commented about the level of hacking that went into obtaining the photos, claiming that the images of herself had been deleted.

“Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this,” the actress wrote.

The FBI and Apple are currently conducting investigations into the apparent widespread hacking thought to be connected to the iCloud service.

  • Gabrielle Union Addresses Topless Picture, Confirms It’s Real

Gabrielle Union isn’t a happy camper right now.

Apparently, she’s become a victim of the infamous photo hacking campaign.

Unlike some of the other victimized celebrities whose photos were doctored, the Being Mary Jane star confirmed that the nude picture of her is, indeed, real.

On Saturday, Sept. 20, a topless picture of Union was leaked to the Internet. She reportedly sent the picture to her husband Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade.

But, unfortunately, it ended up in the wrong hands. Now, her intimate gesture to her husband has been viewed by millions across the world.

So, the 41-year-old actress and her new hubby released an official joint statement to TMZ in reference to the hacking incident.

Needless to say, they definitely aren’t pleased with the violation of their privacy. “It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures,” their statement read.

“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.”

The publication also revealed Union wasn’t the only victim whose picture was leaked. On the same day, alleged nude pictures of Emily Ratajkowski, Jenny McCarthy, Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell were also stolen and leaked.

The couple concluded by sending their love and support to those who have been victimized as a result of hate crimes and hacking.

“For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes – We send our love, support and prayers.  We have done nothing wrong.”

The newlyweds also stated that they do plan to contact the FBI to further investigate the incident.

  • Gabrielle Union Responds To Nude Photo Leak

Gabrielle Union is one of the latest celebrities to suffer from a nude photo leak.

Union has confirmed that the photos are in fact real, and of her. She had sent the private photos to her husband Dwayne Wade, but they somehow got out all over the Internet.

The couple released a joint statement to TMZ regarding the leak, and said that their legal team will be contacting the FBI.

“It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures.” the statement read.

“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them,” the statement continued. “These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.”

Union and Wade then took the time to acknowledge others who are going through the same thing, and reassured them that they have done nothing wrong.

“For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes – We send our love, support and prayers,” the statement added. “We have done nothing wrong. While they may have stripped us of our right to privacy, they cannot take our strength, dignity or our voice. Love and light to all…”

Emily Ratajkowski, Jenny McCarthy, Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell are among other celebrities who had their photos leaked over the weekend. Requests for comments from their publicists have not been answered.

  • Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade Stage Super Private Wedding

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have finally set the date to tie the knot but are keeping everything else about their wedding plans under tight security.

Soon after their engagement was made public, reports of Wade having fathered a child with another woman while he and Union were on a break from their relationship surfaced and was said to have caused the couple a lot of stress. They saw it through and are now determined to stage the most private celeb wedding this year.

The leaked wedding invite tell us the wedding is set for August 30, 10:30pm in an undisclosed location somewhere in Miami, FL. Guests’ identification will be doubly verified, first at the pick-up location and then at the venue itself, and they are all required to bring photo IDs.

Now, Union and Wade are also asking their guests one other small favor: to not bring phones and cameras to the ceremony.  Not only is this couple mum about the wedding plans, they are apparently doing their best to limit any chance of a leak on the proceedings too.

It seems Union is also being cautious about protecting her financial assests. Wade, who incidentally, has re-signed for a two-year contract with the Miami Heat worth $40 million, had been asked by Union to sign a pre-nup because she felt the need “…to protect her stuff.” Union’s net worth is a reported $16 million — significantly less than that of her soon-to-be husband. She shared this much herself in an interview on Arsenio Hall soon after news of their engagement leaked earlier this year

  • Dwyane Wade Flops In NBA Finals, Gets $5000 Fine

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade is the latest recipient of a $5,000 fine after he exaggerated a foul on Game 2 of the finals.

The flop happened in the second quarter when Wade reacted excessively on a play where Manu Ginobili from the San Antonio Spurs was fouled. Ginobili took a swipe at the ball that Wade was controlling, and Wade exaggeratedly spun backwards, as if he had been hit.

Wade’s reaction resulted in boos from fans of the Spurs. He got two free throws from the foul, and Ginobili was benched for his third foul on the play.

The game ended with a score of 98-96 in favor of Miami.

The irony is that Ginobili is considered a “master flopper,” but he has not received any warnings this season.

“He took a swipe and he hit me,” Wade said on Monday before the fine was announced. “It was a late call by the ref, but he called it,” he said.

The game was reviewed and it showed an over-exaggeration on Wade’s part, as Ginobili only made light contact with Wade’s hand and the ball.

Dwyane Wade’s flop is the fifth flopping violation of the playoffs. Reports said that players are not fined for flops in the regular season until their second flop of the year, but in the playoffs, every flop gets a fine.

According to sources, Wade has already accumulated a whopping $19 million in salaries for this season alone. The $5,000 fine surely won’t put a dent in his pockets. Retired NBA Commissioner David Stern said that the fine isn’t enough. “You’re not going to cause somebody to stop it for $5,000 when the average player’s salary is $5.5 million,” he said.

Other players who have been slapped with a fine for flopping include Indiana’s Lance Stephenson and Roy Hibbert, and Spurs’ Tiago Splitter.

  • Dwyane Wade Enters Miami Heat Lineup After Missing Nine Games

Dwyane Wade has been no stranger to injuries over the course of the 2013-2014 season, but he was able to return to the Miami Heat lineup during their game on Saturday. He has missed out on many games over the season, and just returned from a 9-game stretch that he was forced to sit out.

It was a game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night when Dwyane Wade would return to the starting lineup. As a team that is currently fighting for the No.1 seed in the NBA playoffs, the Heat need every star to be playing, and unfortunately even with Wade’s return, the Heat lost to the Hawks 98-85.

As he continues to struggle, and with the playoffs starting in about a week, it could be risky for Wade to return now. In addition to his recent injury, he also almost missed the 2014 NBA All-Star game, and instead played limited minutes.

He has missed 28 games overall, with most of the absences due to his knee soreness. He has also missed time with an Achilles strain. The Heat are currently in a fierce fight with the Indiana Pacers heading into the final week of the regular season, and are currently half a game behind.

Speaking on his ability to play again, before the game Dwyane Wade said “I’m going to give it a go today. That’s the plan. The first thing was to get comfortable with it. You never know how severe it is until you try to strengthen it. Now, it’s just about getting comfortable and pushing it to see where you’re at.”

His recent hamstring injury kept him out for more time than he had missed during any other part of the season, and it was much more serious than he, or the rest of the team had initially thought.

There were a couple of other games recently when Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Wade was on the verge of returning, but the team ultimately held him out as a further precaution.

Despite missing about a third of the NBA season, Dwyane Wade returned on Saturday to score 24 points. In the games that he has played in, he is averaging 19.2 points per game and 4.6 rebounds per game.

  • Dwyane Wade Returns To Starting Lineup

Dwyane Wade Returns To Starting Lineup

After sitting on the sidelines for nine games, due to a strained hamstring, Miami Heat’s guard Dwyane Wade returned to the starting lineup.

On Saturday, Wade decided to give it a shot, and entered the game, at the start of the second half, against the Atlanta Hawks.

To be eligible to play, Wade had to go through an extensive pre-game workout which included three strenuous workouts throughout the day on Friday.

“I’m going to give it a go today,” Wade said before the game on Saturday. “That’s the plan. The first thing was to get comfortable with it. You never know how severe it is until you try to strengthen it. Now, it’s just about getting comfortable and pushing it to see where you’re at.”

Wade, nor his fellow teammates, realized the severity of the injury that he suffered on March 26. This was the longest that Wade had been out of the game this season, and he was excited, and anxious, to get back to the court. However, he knew that he needed to limit his playing time so that he didn’t add to his current injury.

“As human beings, we don’t really have patience,” Wade continued. “Especially as you get to this part of the season. You really start to gear up for the playoffs. I’ve tried to stay in tune with the team, in tune with what we’re doing. I had to understand that the time would come. We’ll see how it does.”

Wade on returning tonight: “I felt good. Better than I could’ve envisioned. I didn’t feel like I had been off that long, I was aggressive.”

In 51 games, Wade has averaged 19.2 points, 4.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds.

  • Dwyane Wade: Returns to Game For A Loss; New Shoes

D.Wade is a hot topic once again, although good that this time it’s for purely professional reasons, bad that there is a big question mark around his name. The *main topic of discussion is Wade’s return to the court after sitting out for nine games on Saturday only to lose to the Atlanta Hawks.

Although it looks pretty bad on paper, some could consider that a necessary warm-up game before the playoffs begin. He sat out for nine games; now is a great time to get his rhythm back. With the team consistently asserting that their main focus is not on having the number-one conference seed, but just being healthy for the playoffs, the Heat may not be worrying yet. According to Wade’s pre-game statements told to ESPN,

“I’m going to give it a go today. That’s the plan. The first thing was to get comfortable with it. You never know how severe it is until you try to strengthen it. Now, it’s just about getting comfortable and pushing it to see where you’re at.”

That seems to be their mind state— although fans are worried:

Miami might need to be worried about why didn’t they beat Atlanta with four and a half players.

That’s not the only discussion on hand. Looks like D.Wade has dropped a new Jordan shoe recently,

that the public is receiving with mixed reviews:

So, today is Dwyane’s day in the media. Let’s hope the next talk of the town with his name in it will consist of excellent plays and wins.

  • Greg Oden’s Starting Position On The Miami Heat May Be Permanent

The Miami Heat has consistently been one of the top teams in the NBA for the past several seasons since gaining Lebron James on their roster. However, Greg Oden has eased himself into the starting lineup recently, and may be keeping that position.

Greg Oden has been plagued with injuries throughout most of his NBA career, which has been spent mostly with the Portland Trailblazers. He joined the Heat over the off-season last year, and made his debut with the team last October.

Lebron James has been forced to carry the team on his shoulders for much of the season due to another injury to Dwyane Wade, playing in a limited number of games in the 2013-2014 season. The Indiana Pacers have remained in first place throughout the season, and are currently 3 games ahead of Miami.

It was just the beginning of October when Greg Oden had his first practice in four years, but may be working his way into the starting lineup shortly. He started against the Houston Rockets last weekend in order to have a better match-up against their big man, Dwight Howard, and then again in Cleveland.

However, according to Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, the decision to start Oden may not have just been based on the situation. After the game, he said “I’ve stressed that to our team, that last year’s blueprint was for last year, and the more we tried to pigeonhole ourselves into that blueprint, we might not be opening ourselves up to a more successful or necessary blueprint for this year, as the competition has changed.”

Starting Greg Oden is certainly a dramatic change from the regular Heat lineup that features smaller figures such as Chris Bosh, Shane Battier, and even Chris Anderson, all players that do not have much size to them, but are much better shooters than someone like Oden.

Lineups with Bosh and Oden have been less successful overall when compared to the way that Bosh and Anderson play together, but the template is there for for the Heat to succeed with two functional big men on the floor at the same time.

Greg Oden may be starting right now, but he continues to heal from his injury, and his playing time could be limited going forward. The Miami Heat have already clinched a spot in the playoffs, and currently have a record of 46-19.

  • Kobe Bryant Will Miss NBA All-Star Game Due To Injury

Kobe Bryant, although he continues to be a fan favorite and was voted on to the Western Conference All-Star team, will not be able to compete in the NBA All-Star game in New Orleans this weekend.

He has only played six games this year after recovering from an Achilles injury, and then injuring his right knee upon returning to the court. Bryant has been sidelined since December 17th, and will be reevaluated following the All-Star break, with no clear timetable for him to return to the Lakers’ lineup.

Bryant finished second among Western Conference back-court players in the fan vote, with a total of about 988,000 votes. It has been reported that he is likely to be replaced by James Harden of the Houston Rockets. He finished in fifth place in the fan voting with about 470,000 votes, behind Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, and Jeremy Lin.

Harden, 24 years old, would be making his second All-Star Game appearance, and this would mark his first time as a starter. Harden is averaging 23.9 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game in his fifth NBA season. In addition to James Harden, the starting lineup of the Western Conference team will consist of Stephen Curry, Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Timberwolves forward Kevin Love, and Clippers forward Blake Griffin.

While being led by their star in James Harden, the Rockets have won seven games in a row and are 36-17 at the break, good enough for third in the Western Conference playoff standings.

Serious injuries have continued to plague the veteran stars of the NBA, and it was also announced recently that Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade will likely miss out on the All-Star game because of multiple injuries, and most recently was diagnosed with foot drop, giving him an inability to lift the front part of his foot.

At the age of 35, Kobe Bryant may need to start thinking about retirement soon, and after an incredibly successful career with the Los Angeles Lakers, his best days seem to be behind him. He made his debut this season on December 8th, but shortly after he was injured, and has been prevented from playing since.

Since the injury to their star player Kobe Bryant, the Lakers have struggled greatly, and are not in good shape in the Western Conference.

  • Dwyane Wade May Miss Out On All-Star Game Due To Injury

Dwyane Wade has been no stranger to injuries throughout his all-star career, and this season has been no different. He has been struggling with a sore foot, and most recently missed a big game against the Golden State Warriors.

The Heat have dealt with injuries throughout the 2013-2014 to some of their biggest stars, with Dwyane Wade falling victim to a foot and knee injury, and even Lebron James was forced to sit out for a couple of games.

The big NBA All-Star game that has been anticipated for months is coming up this Sunday, and his injury may force him to sit out of that game. He has played in the All-Star game multiple times, and was selected as a starter for the Eastern Conference for the 2014 game.

If he is not able to play, a replacement will be assigned to the team, while Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers may be a likely possibility to replace him after his outstanding first half of the season. The Pacers remain at the top of the conference with a record of 40-12, and despite the multiple injuries to the Heat, they are still in second place with a 37-14 record.

When speaking about the injury, Dwyane Wade said “First, I want this to calm down a little bit and get back to feeling regular and I will go from there…I’m not optimistic, I’m not pessimistic. I just wanna get better.”

The issue of Dwyane Wade’s health is a consistent issue for the Miami Heat, and has caused Lebron James to step up and take much of the load during their recent games. When Wade is healthy, he and James are one of the best duos in the league, but with his health in question, Lebron James’ free agency also comes into question. James wants to continue to win championships, and may not be able to do that without the help of another star.

At 32 years old, the best days of Wade’s career may be over, and Wednesday’s game was the 15th game that he was forced to miss out on during the current season. He was most recently diagnosed with foot drop, which causes an inability to lift the front part of the foot.

Dwyane Wade is still planning to fly to New Orleans with the possibility of the playing in the 2014 NBA All-Star game, but it is likely that he will continue to rest, and not take the chance of making anything worse. He will continue getting treatment from the team trainer while in New Orleans.

  • Gabrielle Union Gives Details Of Proposal

Gabrielle Union has proven that she’s the “stand by your man” type. When she and basketball player Dwyane Wade took a short break, Wade accidentally impregnated another woman. While most people assumed that Gabrielle would leave Wade after she found out about his love child, she surprised everyone and decided to stay.

Wade proposed shortly after the couple reunited and Gabrielle decided to share the details of the special moment while on Live with Kelly and Michael. According to Gabrielle, the proposal happened at the construction site where the couple is building a home. Wade brought his two sons and nephew who lives with him, along with him for the proposal.

“I was completely surprised, him and the boys planned it completely as a family. We were just going to spend the day together, have a little bit of quality time. … I’m completely clueless. Dwyane’s like, ‘Do you want to do any make-up?’ I’m like, ‘No.’ So my nails aren’t done. We were literally going from brunch to our house, that is under construction, so I’m dressed to go to a construction site, not for anything exciting.”

She continued, “So we do a little tour of the house. Me and Dwyane are upstairs, the boys are downstairs and the boys say, ‘We want to do a presentation for you.’ I thought they were going to do a skit or a song or something, so me and Dwyane turn around … and they’re holding signs saying, ‘Will you marry us?’

Gabrielle admitted that at first she thought it was a joke because the boys had ask her on several occasions to be their stepmother. Soon she realized that the proposal was the real deal.

The couple was engaged shortly before Christmas, right around the same time Wade came forward with the news of his son by another woman. Gabrielle has obviously accepted his family and forgiven him for his affair during their break up.

What do you think of Dwyane’s proposal and Gabrielle’s decision to say yes?

  • Dwyane Wade Has A New Baby. Gabrielle Union Is Not The Mother

Just last week Dwyane Wade announced his engagement to actress Gabrielle Union. Now this week, Wade confirms that he fathered a son with a woman other than Union. Apparently Wade sought comfort in the arms of another woman during a one-month break in his relationship to Gabrielle Union. The child is about one month old now.

When asked if he had seen his new son yet, Wade responded,”Yeah, I’ve got a chance to see him. You know me. I’m involved in my kids’ lives. When my kids were living at home with me, or wasn’t living at home with me, I tried to do everything I could to see them. Obviously I got custody of them for different reasons, but nothing changes with my life. Like I’ve said, this is something that my family knows and my now fiancée worked through when we got back together, and understood that we wanted to continue our lives together and continue supporting our family and we’re going to do that. That’s what I’ve always done.”

The Miami Heat star is also a father to two other children, Zion and Zaire, from a previous marriage with Siohvaughn Funches. Wade was awarded custody of the kids after a three-year court battle with Funches.

The NBA star is all too aware of the public scrutiny that comes with fathering a child with someone other than his soon to be wife but he says he is prepared to face it. Right now, he says he is focused on being a great father and making sure he is involved in his kids’ lives.  “I’m always going to be a father first. That doesn’t change.” said Wade

Wade published a book called A Father First in 2012 in which he talks about how his life became bigger than basketball after becoming a father.

  • Dwyane Wade Confirms ‘Love Child’, Birth Certificate Released

Lately, Miami heat star guard Dwyane Wade has been making headlines left and right. His whirlwind romance has created a media firestorm. However, his romantic involvement hasn’t just been centered around one woman.

It’s been nearly two weeks since the 3-time NBA champion proposed to his girlfriend, actress Gabrielle Union. Now, there’s a baby. But, it’s not one he fathered with Union.

A couple days ago, rumors began to float that Wade fathered another child during his relationship with the Deliver Us From Eva star.

However, the news is no longer a rumor, as the 9-time NBA All-Star has confirmed that the child is his.

According to Hollywood Life, Wade released a statement to reporters in regards to his newborn child on Monday, Dec. 30.

“As I’ve always done my whole life … is always focus on what’s most important to me and my family, and that’s being a great father,” said Wade. “I’ve always tried to show my importance in my kids’ lives and it doesn’t change now.”

Wade also clarified that the child was conceived during his split from his fiancé’. He also expressed that the child was conceived during a rather difficult time in his life, but the child is, indeed, a breath of fresh air for him.

“Yeah, I had a time … in our pain and our hurt, (but) a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy,” Wade told reporters. “So, I’m moving on.” ‘D-Wade’ went on to share his sentiments of fatherhood and the importance of his involvement in his children’s lives.

“You know me,” Wade said. “I’m involved in my kids’ lives. When my kids were living at home with me, or wasn’t living at home with me, I tried to do everything I could to see them.” He actually has full custody of his two older sons, Zion and Zaire, while raising his nephew Dahveon Morris.

“It would compromise it if I wasn’t a father first,” said Wade. “I’m always going to be a father first. That doesn’t change. If you decide to when you can be a father, that’s when it compromises. But, like I said, this is something, obviously, private for my family that we will continue to deal with as a family but we have a blessing to the bloodline, to the Wade bloodline. And from that standpoint, it doesn’t, to me, state anything differently from what I’ve always shown.”

TMZ reports that the Wade’s newborn son, Xavier Zechariah Wade, was born Nov. 10, 2013. The child’s mother, Aja Metoyer, did not list Wade as the father on the child’s birth certificate, but the baby does has Wade’s last name. The publication also released the public documented birth certificate in a tweet.

  • Dwyane Wade Makes One of His Best Moves Ever

Dwyane Wade Makes One of His Best Moves Ever

After four years of dating, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Hollywood starlet Gabrielle Union are officially engaged.

The news came via Wade’s Twitter account, as he gave a brief announcement of the couples engagement. “She said yes!!!” he Tweeted, and he shared a photo of the two holding hands, showing off Union’s huge but tasteful ring.

With Wade being 31 years of age and Union 10 years his senior at 41, some may consider their relationship a May-December romance, but their age difference never seemed to be a problem, at least not on the surface or through the media image the couple has presented.

This marks Wade’s second marriage, his first being to his high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Funches from 2002 to 2010, which ended in a very public divorce.

If you recall, earlier this year Funches stood on a downtown Chicago street holding a sign that expressed just how neglected she felt by the multimillionaire basketball player. The sign read “NBA Miami Heat star, mother of his children on the streets,” which Wade and his lawyer quickly responded to.

“Despite false allegations by Ms. Funches claiming to be homeless and destitute, Dwyane Wade has maintained over the years financial support to his ex-wife by providing her with income over $25,000 on a monthly basis, timely paid her home mortgage, maintenance and security at the house, 4 cars, insurance, taxes and all of her attorney fees throughout this process.”

Since then things have simmered down for the former couple.

And now, Wade seems to be floating on Cloud-9, as he and Union have been seen in public together on many occasion looking quite blissful, and they’ve done a stellar job of announcing their relationship to the public, but still not sharing that many details.

As far as the actual wedding day, there hasn’t been an announcement yet, but better believe when it does happen it’ll be a major media event. Both in Hollywood and in the sports world.

  • Dwyane Wade Videobombs LeBron James With Cartwheels

Dwyane Wade left teammate LeBron James speechless momentarily following the Miami Heat’s 107-92 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Monday. While LeBron was giving a post-game interview, Dwyane decided to do a couple of cartwheels. (Some people question whether or not what Wade did was really a cartwheel, but we won’t get into that.)

The look on LeBron James’s face was priceless when he noticed Dwyane doing the cartwheel out the corner of his eye. Just as LeBron turned around, Dwyane did another cartwheel. LeBron is known for photobombing people (Dwyane Wade included), but it’s safe to say that Dwyane is the now the reigning photobomb/videobomb champ after that stunt.

“Yo, we’re going to a whole ‘nother stratosphere tonight with that one,” James said of the cartwheels. Check out the video of Dwyane Wade’s cartwheels below.

Both Dwyane and LeBron posted about the cartwheels on Twitter (and if you’re one of those people who don’t think that what Dwyane did constitutes a cartwheel, he throws down the gauntlet):

The reactions to Dwyane Wade’s videobomb have been varied. Most people were just as amused as LeBron, but others either weren’t amused or weren’t very impressed with Dwyane’s cartwheel skills.

Is this the best videobomb you’ve seen? Discuss your opinion in the comments section below.

  • Miami Heat’s “Good Effort” Kid Becomes a Meme

Last night, as the Miami Heat exited their home court following their surprising Game 5 loss to the Boston Celtics, they were some words of encouragement that were offered by one of the younger fans in the form of “Good game! Good effort!” Innocent words from a kid who undoubtedly had such behavior drilled into him by little coaches. Unfortunately, the well-meaning kid was attending a man’s game where such words of encouragement ring hollow.

When it comes to winning a championship in professional sports, the mentality of “we’ll be satisfied if we play as hard as we can” goes out the window because these teams (and players) care about one thing, and that’s winning. Playing hard and giving maximum effort, especially in the NBA Playoffs, is a given, which explains why traditional sayings like “good effort” ring hollow when you lose. Sayings like that, no matter how well intentioned they are delivered, don’t mean much when the loss means your team is facing elimination the next time they play.

As for the kid raining down “good effort” cheers on his favorite team, it’s hard to fault him. He’s simply repeating the behavior that has undoubtedly been drilled into his head by little league coaches: respect your opponents and always be a good sport, even when you lose. Too bad that mentality doesn’t really apply when grown men playing professional sports take the field. Perhaps the lone exception to this is hockey, which follows the “line up and shake hands” tradition after every game, even the deciding game of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Not only did the kid’s chant stand out, as you can probably guess by the fact someone captured the moment on YouTube, the saying quickly became an Internet meme that blew up on Twitter. For example:

Laugh all you like, but “Good job, good effort” kid has already proven himself qualified to be an ESPN analyst.

I’d like to believe “Good job, good effort” kid in Miami is actually a 10 year old from Boston who’s already an expert at mocking.

  • Gabrielle Union Heckles Dwyane Wade, Gets Banned from Courtside Seats

Gabrielle Union may look innocent and sweet, but beneath those incredible looks and charming smile beats the heart of a true heckler. Her professional basketball-playing boyfriend, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, is frequently the target of her zingers, though she isn’t above talking some smack to opposing teams and referees.

So loud and frequent are her heckles that Wade has asked her to sit a few rows back from the court. Her usual seat is right behind the Miami Heat bench.

While promoting her latest motion picture, director Tim Story’s romantic comedy “Think Like a Man”, Gabrielle opened up to Conan O’Brien about her unpopular courtside habits. When asked if she went as far as to ridicule her own boyfriend, Union wasn’t ashamed to admit the truth.

“Oh sure, I feel like who’s gonna tell him if not me?” she replied. “I’m like dance mom. … I’ve become like Bobby Knight and like the Great Fettucini, it’s bad. I scream like ‘brick!’ and ‘air ball!’”

Her attacks don’t stop with just the players. Union has been known to toss a few choice words towards referees, young and old alike. “Recently, like maybe last week, there was an older ref, perhaps it was Dick Bavetta, and I said ‘you’ll get your Viagra if you just make a call’”, the actress explained.

The couple met while co-hosting a 2007 Superbowl party. Although public scrutiny of their relationship has been particularly brutal, the pair remain dedicated and incredibly happy. As always, members of the Twitter community have something to say on the topic. A handful of their responses have been embedded below.
